Abstract

This research aims to determine the achievement of scientific literacy in society 5.0 in elementary schools in terms of several aspects of content, process and context, the nature of science. This research method uses a literature study in which data is collected through sources used including articles, journals, documents, books and other literature studies. The results of this research explain the scientific literacy skills that students must have in facing the era of society 5.0 so that they can fulfill science skills, understand science, communicate science, and apply science to solve problems in everyday life.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations and interviews with the homeroom teacher of grade V, it is known that low student learning interest occurs due to the lack of learning media in the student learning process, the use of learning media is needed to attract student learning interest, especially in science learning on the material of animal classification based on their food types. This study aims to increase student learning interest. This study uses a type of development research using the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The feasibility test was carried out by three expert validations, namely media experts obtained a score of 83%, language experts obtained a score of 96%, and material experts obtained a score of 90%. The validation results from the three experts showed the feasibility of the media to be tested. Then the effectiveness test using a learning interest questionnaire from the results of small group trials obtained a score of 87.7% and a large group trial obtained a percentage of 85.6% with very effective criteria. While the teacher response questionnaire obtained a score of 95.3% and the student response questionnaire obtained a score of 89.3% with very good criteria. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Jegolan learning media can increase student learning interest.

Abstract

Student learning motivation needs to be increased again due to low interest in learning, student activeness and concentration in learning activities, besides that there is still a lack of variation in class learning. This study aims to increase student learning motivation in the subject of IPAS human respiratory system material. This research uses the type of R&D research with the ADDIE development model. The feasibility test was carried out by validators, namely for material expert validation 92%, for language validation 92% and media validation 95%. With the three validator scores, it shows that the media is suitable for testing. The 96% teacher response results prove that the media is practical to use. The results of the distribution of learning motivation questionnaires obtained a percentage of 95% with a very effective category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that operman media can increase student learning motivation.

Abstract

The low level of students' understanding of the concept of water cycle material can be influenced by the lack of innovation in the use of learning media. There is a need for media in the form of a water cycle diorama that presents learning materials through interesting illustrations in the learning process. This research aims to develop DIOSIR media (water cycle diorama) and improve students' understanding of the concept. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The feasibility test was carried out by three experts, namely media experts, linguists, and material experts. The media practicality test was carried out using the educator's response, and the media use interest test was carried out using the student's response. The effectiveness test was carried out using pre-test and post-test for grade V students. The results of the study showed that the DIOSIR learning media (water cycle diorama) was declared "very feasible" to use, with evidence of media validation results with a percentage score of 78.1%, linguists 100%, and material 94%. DIOSIR learning media (water cycle diorama) was declared "very practical and interesting" with evidence of the results of the questionnaire responses of educators and students, the results of the educators' responses obtained a percentage value of 92.7% and the responses of students with small group trials obtained a percentage value of 98.2% and large group trials obtained a percentage value of 98.1% and DIOSIR learning media (water cycle diorama) was declared "effective" as evidenced by the results of pre-test and post-test Students, the results of the effectiveness showed a figure of 0.76 proving that "there was a high increase". It can be concluded that comic books as a science learning medium can increase students' understanding of concepts in grade V of SDN Duren Jaya XIV.

Abstract

The level of student engagement is low and there is an urgent need to improve the quality of student learning at the elementary level. This research aims to improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school students in class V. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. Comic book media was declared "Very Valid" for testing as proven by the results of the media validator who obtained a media percentage of 95%, material 100%, and language 100%. Teacher responses and student responses to comic book media obtained a teacher response of 95%, medium scale 95% and large scale 89.3% declared "Very Appropriate" as a science learning media. The N-Gain Score test is used to calculate the increase in critical thinking skills from the results of the pretest and posttest which obtained a significance of 0.59 with the "Medium" criteria. It was concluded that comic books based on socio-scientific issues as science learning media can improve the critical thinking skills of fifth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

The research titled "Development of Interactive Learning Media Based on Macromedia Flash 8 to Enhance Learning Motivation in Science Education for Grade 5 Students at SDN Sindangjaya 04" aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of interactive learning media based on Macromedia Flash 8 in enhancing the learning motivation of Grade 5 students at SDN Sindangjaya 04, specifically in the subject of Science. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method by applying the ADDIE model as a framework for developing the learning media. The results of the study show that the developed media is proven to be effective in increasing students' learning motivation, particularly in Science, as indicated by the effectiveness survey results, with a percentage of 89.56%. The conclusion of this research is that interactive learning media based on Macromedia Flash 8 is feasible and effective for use in the learning process and can enhance students' learning motivation.

Abstract

Based on observations and interviews with grade V teachers of SDI Anwarul Jam’iyyah, students have achieved the KKM score but are not yet optimal. The absence of appropriate learning media makes students feel bored and pay less attention to the subject matter. This study aims to develop, test the validity and effectiveness of articulate storyline 3 learning media based on problem based learning of natural events material. The location of the research was carried out at SDI Anwarul Jam’iyyah, Lenggahsari Village, Cabangbungin District, Bekasi Regency, in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. This research is a development research (Research and Development) developed by Zef Risal, Rachman Hakim and Aminol Rosid Abdullah using the ADDIE model. Expert assessment shows that the articulate storyline 3 learning media based on problem based learning is feasible as a learning media by making revisions based on expert advice. The percentage given by media experts is 95.8%, by material experts is 95% and language experts 85.7%. The average cognitive learning outcomes in the student pretest are 50% and the average posttest is 85%. These results are categorized as very good media to use to improve cognitive science learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) problem based learning model on science literacy and conceptual understanding of grade V students at SDN Mekarmukti 02. In the context of 21st century education, it is important to equip students with critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong science literacy is an important benchmark, especially considering Indonesia's low ranking in the 2018 PISA results. This study uses a quantitative method with a nonequivalent control group experimental design. The research participants were grade V students of SDN Mekarmukti 02. Data were collected through questionnaires before and after the implementation of PBL. Data analysis shows that PBL has a significant influence on improving students' science literacy and understanding of concepts. PBL helps students relate learning to real-life experiences and improve critical thinking skills. This study recommends further development and training for teachers to optimize the implementation of PBL in the classroom.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis teka-teki silang (TTS) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V di SDN Jayasampurna 02. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Instrumen penelitian mencakup observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, angket respon guru dan siswa, serta pretest dan posttest. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan rata-rata skor 96%, menandakan media sangat layak digunakan. Respon guru dan siswa juga mencapai 97% pada kategori sangat layak. Penggunaan media TTS mampu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan nilai N-Gain rata-rata 0,69, termasuk kategori cukup efektif. Penelitian berlangsung dari Februari sampai Agustus 2025. Kesimpulannya, media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis TTS tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, tetapi juga menciptakan suasana belajar yang menarik dan interaktif. Penelitian ini memberikan alternatif media inovatif yang bermanfaat bagi guru dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a children’s magazine-based teaching material for the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject with the theme “The Secrets of Our Body” to improve science literacy among fifth-grade students at SDN Pasirsari 01. The development model used was ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate), with one fifth-grade class as the research subject. Data collection instruments included observation, interviews, questionnaires, as well as pretest and posttest science literacy assessments. Validation results from subject matter experts, media experts, and the class teacher indicated that the product was in the “Highly Feasible” category for use in learning. Classroom implementation showed positive responses from both teachers and students, with students displaying greater enthusiasm, active participation in discussions, and engagement in learning activities. Science literacy test results indicated a significant increase in posttest scores compared to pretest scores, with an N-gain improvement category of moderate/high. This study concludes that a children’s magazine can serve as an effective, engaging, and contextual alternative teaching material to enhance science literacy among elementary school students.
