Abstract

This study aims to develop audiovisual learning media to improve the science process skills of fourth-grade students at SDN Kedungwaringin 02. The background of this research highlights problems in IPAS learning, which is still dominated by conventional methods, resulting in low student participation and underdeveloped science process skills. This development research employed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to create the learning media. The product developed was a seven-minute audiovisual graphic video containing material on the introduction of three groups of animals based on their diet. Validation results from material, media, and language experts indicated that the media was highly feasible for use. The effectiveness of the media was measured by comparing students’ pretest and posttest results, with an N-Gain score of 0.73, categorized as high. These findings demonstrate that the use of audiovisual media has a significant impact on enhancing students’ science process skills, particularly in the abilities of observing, classifying, and concluding.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Discovery learningmodel on the conceptual understanding of Science and Social Studies (IPAS) among fourthgrade students at SD Negeri Sukarahayu 01. The research used a quasi experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 23 students in Class IV B (experimental) and 23 students in Class IV A (control). The test instruments included multiple-choice and essay questions, validated (r-count 0.931 > r-table 0.413) and reliable (Cronbach’s Alpha 0.769). The t-test results showed a significant difference in conceptual understanding between the two groups (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05). The experimental group’s post-test average score was 85.50%, while the control group’s was 40.60%. This study concludes that Discovery learninghas a positive and significant effect on improving students’ conceptual understanding of IPAS.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas V SDN Sukadarma 02. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasy eksperimental dengan desain non-equevalent control group design. Sampel terdiri dari 55 siswa, yaitu 28 siswa kelas eksperimen yang mendapat model PjBL dan 27 siswa kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen berupa tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif dengan indikator empat : kelancaran, fleksibilitas, orisinalitas, dan elaborasi , serta lembar observasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistika deskriptif, uji-t, dan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol, dengan rata-rata posttest masing-masing sebesar 88,75 dan 63,75. Uji-t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,001 < 0,05, sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Hasil uji regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,001 < 0,05 dengan koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,763, yang berarti model PjBL memberikan pengaruh sebesar 76,3% terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students’ critical thinking skills in the learning of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in elementary school. The background of this research is the low level of students’ critical thinking skills, which was also identified through observations at SDN Pasirsari 01. The research method used is quantitative experimental with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research population consists of all 70 fifth-grade students of SDN Pasirsari 01, divided into an experimental class (VA) and a control class (VB), each comprising 35 students. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through test instruments in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. The results show that the implementation of the PBL model in the experimental class was carried out in the “Very Good” category (86.7%). There was a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students in the experimental class and the control class, as evidenced by the post-test average score of the experimental class being 79.27, much higher than the control class average score of only 37.83. Hypothesis testing using the t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the PBL model had a significant effect on students’ critical thinking skills. Simple linear regression analysis further confirmed this finding, showing a contribution effect of 86.6%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model has a positive and significant effect in improving the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students in IPAS learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the inquiry learning model on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students at SDN Sukamulya 05. The research method used was quantitative with a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The subjects of the study were all fourth-grade students at SDN Sukamulya 05 in the 2024/2025 academic year, consisting of 28 students from the experimental class and 31 students from the control class. The research instrument was a pretest and posttest essay test referring to the Ennis critical thinking ability indicator. The analysis results showed that the average posttest score for the experimental class was 71.86, while the control class was 50.81. The independent t-test produced a t<sub>count</sub> value = 8.66 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05, which means there is a significant difference between the two groups. Thus, the application of the inquiry learning model has a positive effect on improving students' critical thinking skills. The inquiry learning model can be an effective alternative learning strategy to improve critical thinking skills in elementary schools.

Abstract

Teaching media is a tool whose function is relevant to use when presenting learning materials in the world of education. However, educators must know what impacts the use of learning media has on students' learning interest. The use of learning media that is relevant, effective, fun, interesting and gives meaning to students is one learning method. Learning media is used to make it easier for educators to convey the content of the material to be delivered so that learning is more efficient and effective. This research aims to determine the effect of using learning media on students' interest in learning, aimed at elementary school level. The research method used is literature study. The data collection obtained was obtained through reviewing and analyzing journals, books, articles and e-books that were related to the titles taken. The results of this research indicate that there is an influence of the use of learning media on elementary school students' interest in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) in elementary schools and the extent to which its application supports the transformation of learning toward a deep learning approach. The Merdeka Curriculum is designed to create flexible, contextual, and student-centered learning, while deep learning emphasizes the development of deep understanding, critical thinking, and reflection. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach, using a questionnaire distributed to elementary school teachers via Google Form. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques in the form of percentages and mean achievement scores. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is in the high category, with most teachers demonstrating the application of deep learning strategies in their teaching practices. Teachers with longer teaching experience tend to achieve higher scores in both aspects. These results suggest a positive relationship between teaching experience and teachers' readiness to transform learning. Therefore, continuous training and pedagogical mentoring should be enhanced, particularly for teachers with shorter work experience, to ensure the equitable and effective implementation of both the Merdeka Curriculum and deep learning.

Abstract

This paper discusses the influence of the use of Marble Science’s audio-visual media on Anatomy on elementary school students’ learning interests. The research used pseudo[1]experimental research with a nonequivalent comparison-group design. Data collection was carried out with a questionnaire of students' learning interests that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used Univariate Analysis of Variance with a significance level of 5%. The research results indicate that the difference in the average score of the pre-test was 66.00 while the average post-test score of students’ learning interest was 89.50. Marble Science’s Audio-Visual Media of Human Anatomy has a significant and positive effect on students' interest in learning seen from the Tcount of 14.85 and P of 0.000, which means P = 0.000<0.05. Researchers recommend the use of Marble Science’s Audio-Visual media on human Anatomy can be used to improve the students’ learning outcomes, learning motivation, and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out that the implementation of think pair square to improve students’ learning outcome. This was a classroom action research. The data analysis technique used in this research is qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes from before the action, cycle I, and cycle II. Before the action only 9 students (56,25%) achieved the KKM, in cycle I increased to 11 students (68,75%) achieved the KKM, and In cycle II increased to 14 students (87.50%) achieved the KKM. Thus it can be concluded that the application of think pair square learning technique can improve students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                                     Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi literasi digital dan kreativitas calon guru Sekolah Dasar (SD) melalui pelatihan Digital Comic sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif. Program ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan mahasiswa calon guru dalam merancang media berbasis teknologi dan mengintegrasikan pendekatan TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) dalam praktik pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan PkM dilakukan dengan model inservice training yang meliputi lima tahap, yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan dan evaluasi, serta keberlanjutan melalui pembentukan komunitas kreator. Peserta pelatihan adalah calon guru yang sedang melaksanakan kegiatan Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolah (PLP) sebanyak 12 orang mahasiswa calon guru SD. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam aspek literasi digital, keterampilan desain media, dan kemampuan pedagogik mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Mahasiswa juga mampu menghasilkan Digital Comic yang menarik, kontekstual, dan sesuai karakteristik siswa sekolah dasar. Terbentuknya Komunitas Kreator Digital Comic menjadi langkah strategis untuk menjaga keberlanjutan inovasi mahasiswa serta mendukung implementasi kebijakan Kurikulum Merdeka dan capaian Indikator Kinerja Utama (IKU) perguruan tinggi. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini berkontribusi nyata terhadap penguatan kompetensi calon guru SD dalam menghadapi tantangan transformasi pendidikan di era digital. Kata kunci: comic digital, calon guru SD, literasi digital, TPACK, pelatihan inservice.  ABSTRACTThis Community Service Program (PkM) aims to enhance the digital literacy competencies and creativity of prospective elementary school teachers through training in Digital Comics as an innovative learning medium. The program is motivated by the limited ability of pre-service teachers to design technology-based instructional media and to integrate the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework into teaching practices. The PkM was implemented using an in-service training model consisting of five stages: socialization, training, technology implementation, mentoring and evaluation, and sustainability through the establishment of a creator community. The participants were 12 prospective elementary school teachers from Universitas Pelita Bangsa who were undertaking the School-Based Teaching Practice Program (Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolah/PLP). The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ digital literacy, media design skills, and pedagogical competencies in developing technology-enhanced learning. Additionally, the participants successfully produced engaging, contextual Digital Comics aligned with the characteristics of elementary school students. The formation of a Digital Comic Creator Community serves as a strategic step to ensure the sustainability of student innovation while supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and the achievement of Higher Education Key Performance Indicators (IKU). Therefore, this program contributes meaningfully to strengthening the competencies of prospective elementary school teachers in addressing the challenges of educational transformation in the digital era. Keywords: digital comic, pre-service elementary teachers, digital literacy, TPACK, inservice training.
