Abstract

Masalah yang sering terjadi pada pembelajaran fisika adalah tidak semua siswa dapat menangkap apa yang disampaikan oleh guru. Program remedial yang direncanakan oleh guru ternyata sering terkendala oleh keterbatasan waktu sehingga siswa perlu belajar mandiri. Upaya membuat ketertarikan siswa untuk belajar mandiri adalah memanfaatkan media pembelajaran yang bersifat audio visual dalam bentuk video teranimasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran video teranimasi pada materi elastisitas untuk siswa kelas X SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Borg and Gall dengan mengambil tujuh tahap meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perencanaan pembuatan rancangan produk, pengembangan bentuk produk awal, evaluasi ahli, melakukan uji coba kelompok kecil, revisi produk, dan hasil jadi produk. Produk hasil pengembangan terdiri atas empat file video yang masing-masing memuat pembukaan, materi inti, contoh soal dan pembahasan, uji diri siswa, penutup, petunjuk penggunaan untuk guru, dan petunjuk penggunaan untuk siswa. Analisis data berdasarkan data uji validasi dan uji coba terbatas secara keseluruhan diperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 86,1 persen, sehingga memenuhi kategori layak.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri telah terbukti sebagai jenis pembelajaran yang efektif meskipun penyesuaian masih diperlukan misalnya dengan penggunaan thinking maps sebagai alat pendukung pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan model pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri dengan thinking maps pada pem-belajaran fisika. Model pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri dengan thinking maps dikembangkan dengan model 4D. Penelitian dilaksanakan di tiga SMA di Kota Malang-Jawa Timur. Siswa dibagi menjadi tiga kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis dan panduan wawancara. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran inkuiri dengan thinking maps memperoleh nilai tes yang lebih baik di-bandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Selain itu, analisis jawaban siswa menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki ke-mampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa di kelas kontrol. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran inkuri dengan thinking maps efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika.ABSTRACT Inquiry-based learning has been proven to be one of the effective types of learning although adjustment is still needed, for example by using thinking maps as supplementary learning tool. The purpose of this research was to develop inquiry-based learning model with thinking maps for physics learning. Inquiry-based learning mo-del with thinking maps was developed with 4D model. Research was conducted at three high schools in Malang-East Java. Students were divided into three experimental and control classes. Instruments used were written test and interview guideline. Results showed that students who received inquiry learning with thinking maps achieved better test score than control classes. In addition, students’ answer analysis showed that they al-so have better higher-order thinking skills than students in the control class. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kebutuhan formative feedback berbasis website pada pembelajaran fisika. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan desain penelitian ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluating). Adapun artikel ini hanya berfokus pada tahapan analisis sebagai bagian dari studi pendahuluan. Subjek uji coba pada penelitian ini adalah 485 orang peserta didik kelas XI program MIPA dan 13 orang guru fisika yang tersebar di 13 Kabupaten/Kota di Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui kuesioner dan wawancara. Data angket dianalisis dengan menghitung persentase angket respon dari guru maupun perserta didik. Adapun data wawancara dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dibutuhkan formative feedback berbasis website yang dimaksud memungkinkan: (a) adanya feedback yang disampaikan baik secara lisan maupun tulisan, (b) ditujukan kepada setiap peserta didik maupun secara kelompok, dan (c) berfokus tidakhanya pada kemampuan peserta didik, namun juga pada kelemahan yang mereka miliki. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu landasan perumusan pengembangan penilaian formative feedback berbasis website, terutama pada pembelajaran fisika.

Abstract

Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya keterampilan dan kemampuan petani lele dalam mengoptimalkan pembenihan ikan lele dengan sistem bioflock. Target yang ingin dicapai adalah meningkatnya produktivitas ikan lele di Kelurahan Merjosari Kota Malang sehingga meningkatkan pendapatan petani lele. Tahapan yang dilakukan adalah diskusi dan sharing dengan masyarakat dan kelompok peternak lele pada tanggal 2 Juli 2017 di rumah salah satu peternak. Hasil diskusi dengan masyarakat dan kelompok peternak lele, seluruhnya sepakat bahwa budidaya ikan merupakan salah satu peluang usaha yang bisa dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan. Hal ini didukung dengan prospek pasar yang bagus, yaitu daerah kuliner area kampus yang menyebabkan kebutuhan ikan sangat tinggi dan juga banyaknya pasar yang terus dibangun dan dikembangkan di Kota Malang. Pelatihan Budidaya lele sistem bioflock dilaksanakan pada tanggal 30 Juli 2015 di Kelurahan Merjosari Kota Malang. Materi pelatihan meliputi: Proses budidaya ikan lele. Mulai dari pengenalan budidaya ikan lele, kualitas air, pemahaman pakan, pemberian pakan, pemahaman penyakit dan pengobatan, induk dan bibit. Pelatihan pembuatan kolam bioflock dimaksudkan agar mitra mampu membuat kolam dengan menggunakan bahan plastik berdiameter 2 meter sehingga tidak membutuhkan lahan yang luas. Tahapan berikutnya adalah penyebaran benih, penaburan benih ikan lele dan pendampingan pelaksanaan budidaya lele. Hasil yang dicapai pada saat ini masih membutuhkan tahapan berikutnya yang masih panjang.

Abstract

A systematic study on the development of the assessment instrument of the concept of kinematics which is one of the basic concepts of physics has not yet been conducted. This systematic study reported the characteristics, quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the instrument assessment regarding the concept of kinematics. This systematic review method has used a systematic approach based on the practical guidelines of systematic reviews by Petticrew and Roberts and has used PRISMA diagrams for the process of searching and selecting articles, who reviewed 12 articles published between 1985 and 2021. The research findings show that the instrument of concept mastery of kinematics using multiple-choice formats, while others combine the true-false and multiple-choice formats. Almost all instruments of mastery of the concept of widely used kinematics have reported validity assessment (content validity, construct validity) and internal consistency reliability. However, predictive validity, discriminatory validity, and temporal stability reliability have not been reported. Other results indicate that the development of further assessments must pay attention to five important aspects: the validity and reliability of instruments, the scopes and specificity of the concept of kinematics, the conformity with the intellectual level of students, the effectiveness and efficiency of instrument assessment, and the fulfillment of research gaps. This study can help educators and researchers choose and develop an appropriate instrument assessment to reveal students’ understanding of the concept of kinematics.

Abstract

This study aimed to assess the conceptual mastery of fluid statics among students, employing a descriptive quantitative approach. The research involved 22 male and 13 female students from eleventh-grade MIPA at a private school in Surabaya, Indonesia. The primary research instrument comprised 11 multiple-choice and reasoning questions, covering concepts related to Pressure and Hydrostatic Pressure, Pascal’s Law, and Archimedes’ Principle. Results indicated a higher level of conceptual mastery among male students compared to their female counterparts. While both genders demonstrated relatively high conceptual mastery in Pressure and Hydrostatic Pressure, significant disparities were observed in their understanding of Pascal’s Law and Archimedes’ Principle. Notably, students encountered challenges in discussing Archimedes’ Principle, particularly in analyzing concepts related to sinking, floating, submersion, and buoyancy.DOI: 10.17977/jps.v11i32023p112

Abstract

Link maps help students correlate interconcepts in order to facilitate students mastery of the concept learned. The researcher accompanied the link map in learning to find out its effect on concept mastery and students science process skills. This study used a quasi-experimental research design by providing a posttest only for the control group. The sample consisted of two classes, divided into an experimental class and a control class. The experimental class was taught using the 5E learning cycle strategy accompanied by a link map, and the control class was taught using the 5E learning cycle strategy only. The results of the analysis showed that there were differences among students who studied using the learning cycle with link maps and students who studied using the 5E learning cycle only. The further test result indicated that students who learned using the 5E learning cycle with a link map had better concept mastery of physics and science process skills than those who studied using the 5E learning cycle alone.DOI: 10.17977/jps.v11i12023p027

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze students' concept acquisition of static fluid material in the pressure sub-chapter through the Guided Inquiry Flipped Classroom (GIFC) model. This type of research is quantitative, using a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The research subjects consisted of 31 students of XI MIPA 4. The measurement instrument in this study was a concept acquisition test, which consisted of 3 essay questions. Two supervisors have guided the instruments used, and they are valid. The data analysis technique uses paired t-test analysis and effect size analysis. The results of this study indicate significant differences between the pretest and posttest by the results of the paired t-test analysis and that guided inquiry affects concept acquisition. This study implies that this guided inquiry flipped classroom effectively improves students' concept acquisition. The results of this study can be used as input for educators to use the GIFC model to improve students' concept acquisition.

Abstract

Conceptual understanding is an important goal in learning because it is required to develop a deep understanding of how the concepts inter-relate with each other. However, students’ conceptual understanding, especially in dynamic fluid topics, are still relatively low. One of the reasons behind this issue is the limited time for teachers to provide direct feedback to each student. This research focused on analyzing the effect of website-based formative assessment (Fortion) to improve students’ conceptual understanding in dynamic fluid topics. This research is a quasi-experimental study with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample in this research were 66 students of 11th grade from Public School in Banjarmasin City. The instruments used in this research was learning achievement tests. Data analysis was carried out through the Wilcoxon test. This research showed that there was an effect of website-based formative assessment (Fortion) in order to improve students’ conceptual understanding in dynamic fluid topics. Thus, the exploration of website-based formative assessment on different topics needs to be held in future research so that Fortion can be more effectively used by students to enhance their conceptual understanding.
