The purpose of this study was to determine student attitudes towards learning physics in high schools in the city of Jambi and Batang Hari. The method used is a survey type quantitative research method. The data collection technique in this study used purposive sampling technique with the research instrument used was a questionnaire instrument. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, attitudes based on indicators of social implications, scientist normality, and attitudes towards physics research conducted at SMAN 8 Jambi City with the physics attitudes at SMAN 10 Batang Hari can be concluded that the results displayed are different from the category results and the number of respondents. So that there are different conditions from the two SMAs. This comparison also shows that SMAN 8 Kota Jambi shows a better attitude seen from the percentage and number of respondents.

Education is a conscious effort through planning that is prepared by considering various aspects that are important for developing student potential. One of the efforts can be made is implementing a cooperative learning model. This study aims to determine the differences in the results of the application of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model and role playing in physics as well as student responses to the application of the two learning models. This research procedure uses mixed methods using quantitative data obtained by questionnaires, qualitative data is obtained by conducting interviews. The results showed that there were still many students who responded well to the application of the jigsaw cooperative learning model in learning physics but in contrast to student responses to role playing learning. This study aims to determine student responses to the implementation of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model and role playing in physics subjects and to determine the differences in the application of those two models in physics subjects. The novelty of this study is to describe student learning outcomes with the physics learning process and student responses when using the jigsaw cooperative learning model and the role-playing model in physics to make it easier for students to learn and understand concepts and formulas in physics learning. The results showed that many students responded to the application of the jigsaw cooperative learning model and the role-playing learning model in physics learning well. The novelty of this research is that it can improve students' attitudes towards physics by using the jigsaw cooperative learning model and the role playing model.                                        Â

The NHT (Number Head Together) learning model is a learning model that has a structure designed to influence student interaction patterns. The NHT learning model emphasizes students to work together in finding, processing, and reporting information. This model can make students more communicative during the physics learning process. The use of conventional learning models will generally make students bored and uninterested in learning physics. In physics subjects, teachers generally use conventional learning modelsStudents' boredom will arise when learning using conventional models. The purpose of this study was to describe students' responses to the application of the NHT type cooperative learning model. The benefit of this research is to know the student's response to the application of the NHT type of cooperative learning model, as well as the application of the NHT type of cooperative learning model in physics learning. This study used a mixed method research design. The data in this study were analyzed using the triangulation method. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The subjects in this study were high school students. The results showed that some respondents responded quite well to the application of the NHT type of cooperative learning model in physics learning, and some of them responded well to the application of the NHT type of cooperative learning. In learning physics, the use of learning models affects the continuity of the teaching and learning process which will have an impact on the knowledge and learning outcomes possessed by students.

The use of information technology in education is a real impact of the development of science and technology. The development of technology in the field of education has led to innovations in assessment systems such as web-based assessments. The use of web-based assessment to assess student character will bring up different student perceptions which can be influenced by gender differences. Therefore, this study was designed to find out how the comparison of students' perceptions of the application of web-based character assessment in science learning based on gender differences. This research is quantitative research with a survey approach which was conducted by filling out a student perception questionnaire containing 30 statements. The sample in this study was 120 students who were selected by purposive sampling. The data obtained will be analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with hypothesis testing in the form of one-way Anova test to determine whether there is a comparison of student perceptions of the application of web-based character assessment in science learning based on gender differences. The results showed that male students' perceptions showed more positive results than female students' perceptions of the application of web-based character assessment in science learning.

Mathematics physics is often considered by students as a very difficult subject to learn, one of the causes that makes this happen is the lack of learning media that supports students. In addition, most of the existing media use foreign languages, so that in this case Indonesian language learning media is needed, namely the mathematical physics e-module on vector material which is then seen from student responses based on gender differences. This study aims to analyze students' perceptions of the mathematics physics e-module and to analyze students' perceptions based on gender differences in the mathematics physics e-module. This type of research is survey-based research with a quantitative approach. The population of this study was physics education students who contracted mathematical physics with a sample of 80 students. The instrument used in this study was a student perception questionnaire with 15 questions and an interview sheet with 10 questions. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential data analysis using t-test. The results showed that overall students had a positive perception with a perception value of 60% in the very good category and 40% in the good category, whereas when viewed from the gender difference, male students had a perception value of 76.6% in the very good category and 23, 3% in the good category, for female students 50% in the very good category and 50% in the good category. That is, students with gender differences have striking differences in perceptions. Student perceptions can be used as a determining factor in the selection of open materials. From the results, it can be seen that gender differences can help in assessing the products made so that they will support the learning process and increase student learning motivation.

The purpose of research was to investigate students’ attitudes towards natural science in Muaro Jambi, Indonesia. The attitude of the students studied was represented by three indicators, namely the attitude towards the investigation in the Natural Sciences, the adoption of a scientific attitude, and a career interest in the science field. The research was a survey research. The instruments in this study were attitude questionnaires and interview sheets. Data analysis techniques for attitude questionnaires used descriptive statistics while for analyzing interview data using the Miles and Huberman model. The study found students’ good attitudes towards natural science subjects.

The study used mixed-method design. Sample size of this study was 689 students employed total sampling technique. This study revealed that science process skill of students in learning science whether urban and rural areas are good. The independent sample t-test showed that there was a significance difference in students' science process skill in urban school (M = 3.175, SD = 0.178) and in rural schools (M = 2.482, SD = 0.182); (t (687) = 18.224, p<0.01. The independent sample t-test showed that there was a significance difference in students' critical thinking in urban school (M = 5.058, SD = 0.163) and in rural schools (M = 3.436, SD = 0.152); t (687) = 17.224, p<0.001. Lastly, the regression shows the level of contribution students’ science process skill influence as much as 51.5% for critical thinking. This study was found that student science process skill affects critical thinking in learning science. Moreover, students' science process skill and critical thinking in urban better than rural.
