Abstract

This study aims to find out the efforts made by counseling guidance teachers in reducing TikTok social media addiction in students at SMPN 2 Munte. It is a research with a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection methods in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data triangulation techniques. Based on the research that has been carried out, the results of the efforts made by counseling teachers in reducing TikTok social media addiction in students are carrying out group guidance service activities with several scheduled meetings. Besides that, counseling guidance teachers provide information services related to the negative impact of using TikTok social media. The researcher concluded that TikTok social media can cause addiction in SMPN 2 Munte students, which hurts their mental and physical health. Therefore, there needs to be teacher efforts to help reduce TikTok social media addiction in students through efforts such as education about the negative impact of TikTok addiction, developing positive activity programs, collaborating with parents, and making clear rules and disciplinary actions for students who violate the limits of TikTok use at school. Abstract

The ability to recognize letters in students is the basis for students being able to read. This study uses the concept of learning while playing with word cards, picture cards, and letter cards as media. This study, recognizing letters, aims to discover and develop ways of learning to introduce letters to students with more fun methods and attract students' attention at PAUD Bunda Serdang Bedagai. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection is done by interviews, observations, and field studies. In this study, the principal, teacher, and researcher worked together to use word cards, picture cards, and letter cards as media. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The research data is in the form of letter recognition activities using word cards, word cards, picture cards, and letter cards as media. Sources of data were obtained by researchers from school principals, class teachers, accompanying teachers, students, and several parents of students. Collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is done through data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and verification. The results showed that the teacher's efforts to improve the ability to recognize letters for early childhood students with the initial method were still less effective. Students could only know how to write, not know the letters well. But by using the word card method, picture cards, and letter cards, it is more effective for students to know letters better, not only in writing, but students know the shapes of letters and how to pronounce these letters randomly or sequentially.

Abstract

The occurrence of juvenile delinquency shows that teenagers are indisciplined towards the applicable rules and norms, be it family, school, society or their own norms as individuals. The phenomenon of juvenile delinquency seems to be a never-ending theme to be researched and discussed . The causes of juvenile delinquency include the result of wrong parenting patterns, a bad school environment, bad peers , a social and community environment that is not conducive, weak self-control, and emotional maturity in teenagers who do not develop according to the age level of development. teenagers and their lack of religious values. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of peers and religiosity on juvenile delinquency at MAS Al Washliyah, Tebing Tinggi City. This research was carried out at MAS Alwashliyah Tebing Tinggi. The research method uses quantitative research methods with a sample population of 217 students. The research results show that there is a significant influence between peers and religiosity and juvenile delinquency seen from the coefficient value (R²) = 0.181 with p = 0.000 < 0.050, meaning that the emergence of juvenile delinquent behavior is influenced by the influence of peers and the level of religiosity, with a contribution of 18.1%.

Abstract

This research investigates the effectiveness of the parenting role in the context of decision making regarding further education for students in Islamic boarding schools. This research was conducted to understand how the care provided by Islamic boarding school caregivers influences students' decisions in choosing further education. A qualitative approach was used with in-depth interview techniques with caregivers and students to collect data. Data analysis was carried out using the content analysis method to identify the main themes in parenting that have an impact on students' further education decisions. The findings of this study provide insight into the parenting factors that are significant in the decision-making process of students regarding their further education. The implications of the results of this research can be used to improve understanding and approaches to care in Islamic boarding schools to support better further education decision making for students.

Abstract

A broken home is a situation in which parents or one of them has divorced or no longer lives together, which can affect a child's psychological and academic development. This study aims to determine the influence of counseling services on increasing the confidence and learning motivation of broken home students. The research method used is quantitative research with pre-test and post-test control group design experiments. The results of the study showed that there was a significant increase in the confidence and learning motivation of students who received group counseling services compared to the control group, this was evidenced by the results of the normality test with a pretest significance value of the gis value (0.098) > 0.05, then H0 was accepted so that the data was distributed normally, while the Posttest, The value of sig. (0.094) > 0.05. Then with the results of the t-test, it was found that the tcount value of the SPSS result was -13.477 and ttable obtained a value of 2.110 so that the tcount < ttable, H0 was rejected, then H1 was accepted. So it can be concluded that Group Counseling Services have a significant influence on increasing the Learning Motivation of Broken Home students.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of counseling guidance in the context of the success of the Independent Curriculum in secondary schools. The Independent Curriculum is known as an initiative to promote competency-based education with an emphasis on developing relevant skills, knowledge, and attitudes for students. The research method used is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach. The research participants consisted of counseling guidance teachers, school principals, and students involved in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews and participatory observations. The results of the study show that the implementation of counseling guidance plays an important role in supporting the success of the Independent Curriculum. The findings highlight that counseling guidance assists students in identifying and developing competencies in accordance with the demands of the new curriculum. In addition, the role of counseling guidance teachers in facilitating students' understanding and motivation towards the new curriculum is also very important. This study provides practical implications for the development of further education policies in integrating the role of counseling guidance as the main supporter in the success of the Independent Curriculum. It is hoped that this research can be the foundation for the development of a more effective counseling guidance program in supporting broader educational goals.

Abstract

Gross motor skills are good movement abilities in children which are very necessary in carrying out any activity. If this is not developed, children will become independent and become less confident in their social environment, each child will be able to reach the stage of gross motor development as long as they get optimal and appropriate stimulation. Through the activities of playing throwing and catching balls in gross motor development so that children have started to be able to make movements that coordinate between hands and feet in a simple way and can coordinate the muscles of the body. This study aims to find out how children's gross motor skills develop through throwing and catching balls in children aged 4-5 years at RA Arafah field, Medan sub-district. This research method uses descriptive qualitative research. Which aims to find out how the development of gross motor skills of children through playing throwing and catching balls at RA Arafah field Medan. This research is a descriptive qualitative research involving 1 teacher and 18 students. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques carried out were data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that children's gross motor development can develop by playing catch and throwing balls. To maximize the development of gross motor skills, agility and dexterity in children, this game can strengthen muscles and improve their motor skills in general. This catching and throwing game activity can be used as a learning model in class and extracurricular activities that aim to improve children's gross motor skills. eywords: Gross Motor, Games, Child.

Abstract

In an educational context , broken home students often face major challenges , both emotionally and socially , which can affect their academic and personal development . Students who come from broken Home usually experience instability in family relationships , lack of emotional support , and greater mental stress compared to students from intact families . This research aiming to analyze the resilience of broken home students in class VIII at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al Washliyah 63 Punggulan . Resilience is an individual's abilities to rise and adapt to the face of various pressure or trauma. Students from broken Home often face greater emotional challenges , such as a lack of support from family and an unstable environment . This research uses descriptive qualitative methods to understand the factors that shape student resilience , including the roles of family , friends and teachers . The research results show that social support , coping skills , and optimism play an important role in forming students ' psychology resilience . The conclusion of this research emphasizes the need for more intensive support from the school and the environment to help broken home students develop strong resilience .

Abstract

Higher education institutions play a crucial role in preparing students to enter the workforce with competencies that align with their fields of study. This research was conducted to observe the development of student competencies at Syekh Abdul Halim Hasan Binjai Institute, particularly in the growth of both academic and non-academic skills. The activities aimed at developing student potential across various study programs, such as Islamic Religious Education, Sharia Banking, and Islamic Economic Law, are supported through collaboration with internal campus institutions. Both soft skills and hard skills of students have a significant impact on their success in the workforce. This study highlights the importance of a positive school climate and the relationship between students and lecturers in shaping academic competencies and scholarly personalities. Additionally, the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program plays a vital role in competency development through internships, research, entrepreneurship, and other programs. This research employs a quantitative approach by collecting data from 104 students through questionnaires and analyzing them using reliability tests and hypothesis testing. The results show that a conducive school climate, as well as the development of soft skills and hard skills, contribute to improving student competencies relevant to the demands of the digital era and the job market.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate teacher career development, workplace motivation, teacher competencies, and job satisfaction. Utilizing a quantitative explanatory approach, the study included 306 teachers selected through a cluster random sampling technique. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis was employed with the assistance of Smart-PLS software. The findings indicate a significant impact of work motivation on career development among teachers in the South Nias Regency area. Furthermore, teacher competencies were found to influence career development in the same region. Additionally, work motivation exerted a noteworthy effect on job satisfaction among teachers, while competencies also played a role in influencing job satisfaction. Moreover, job satisfaction was identified as a contributing factor to career development. Finally, the study revealed that work motivation and competencies affect career development through the mediation of job satisfaction among teachers in the South Nias Regency area.
