Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students to understand mathematical concepts, and the lack of use of technology in the learning process. This study aims to determine the feasibility of learning media, and to determine the extent to which students' understanding of mathematical concepts has increased after using the developed Smart Apps Creator-based mathematics learning media. The method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) with the development model being the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. This study resulted in learning media based on Smart Apps Creator (android application) on mixed arithmetic operations with whole numbers as the subject of research, students of class VI SDN Margahayu IX Bekasi City. The results of the study found that the learning media developed was "Very Appropriate" to be applied to mathematics learning in class VI SD. This is supported by the validation results from media, material, and learning experts with an average feasibility test result of 89.07%. Meanwhile, the results of the student response questionnaires obtained from small group and large group trials obtained an average acquisition result of 98.08% and included the "Very Positive" category. In addition, there was an increase in the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts after using learning media, which can be proven by the acquisition of an average n-gain value of 0.7 so that the criteria for "Medium" improvement were obtained.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the less than optimal use of digital learning media. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method which aims to produce digital smart book textbooks, test the feasibility of digital smart books and determine the improvement of higher order thinking in 5th grade students of SDIT Laa Tahzan through the development of digital smart books. The development of this product is guided by the Sugiyono model which is modified into six steps including problem analysis, data collection, product design, product validation, product revision, to product testing. The digital smart book feasibility test is carried out by material, media and language experts. Validation from the three experts showed the results of "Fair" to "Very Eligible". The results of student responses to digital smart books get a percentage of 96.66% and are included in the "Very Good" category. This is reinforced by obtaining an N-Gain value of 0.506 which is included in the "Medium" criteria. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that digital smart books to improve the higher-order thinking skills of elementary school students have been successfully developed, suitable for use in learning, the responses given by students are supported by increasing higher-order thinking skills in students with the use of digital smart books in learning.

Abstract

This research aims to develop teaching materials for mathematics learning media based on lectora inspire in elementary schools on the material of plane properties, to see the response and understanding of students. The subject of this study was the fifth grade students of SDN Pasir. Amounting to 30 students in the 2018/2019 academic year. Data collection is obtained by tests, questionnaires and documentation. The results of the study were (1) obtained an average score of expert validation of 84.15% with the category "feasible" (2) the average score of student responses with a percentage of 97.6% which was included in the "very good" category ( 3) post-test average score of 81,49% with the "very good" category so that it can be concluded that  the teaching material of lectora inspire-based mathematics learning media is suitable to be used in fifth grade on plane properties and can provide understanding to studentsnin fifth grade plane properties.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengembangan, mengetahui kelayakan media media audio visual Kinemaster yang dikembangkan dan mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap media audio visual Kinemaster. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri Serang 20 dengan subjek penelitian peserta didik kelas IV pada uji coba terbatas yaitu 23 peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan mengacu pada langkah-langkah penelitian pengembangan yang dikembangkan oleh Borg and Gall dalam Sugiyono yaitu melakukan (1) potensi dan masalah, (2) pengumpulan data, (3) desain produk, (4) validasi desain, (5) revisi desain, (6) uji coba produk. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar angket untuk validasi media dengan presentase 72,75 % ahli materi dengan presentase 89,2 % dan lembar angket respon siswa sebesar 89,5%. Berdasarkan analisis validasi dapat disimpilkan bahwa  kualiatas Media Audio Visual Kinemaster yang dikembangkan termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak, sedangkan hasil respon peserta didik terhadap Media Audio Visual Kinemaster termasuk kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of development, feasibility, and student responses to kinemaster learning videos based on scientific literacy in class V SDN Karundang 2 Serang. This study uses a 4D development model consisting of four stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. Data collection techniques used are in the form of interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. The instruments used were interview sheets, observation sheets, validation questionnaire sheets, and student response questionnaire sheets. The results of the research on developing kinemaster learning videos based on scientific literacy obtained an average score of 87.14% from media experts with very decent criteria, material experts 91.76% with very decent criteria, and linguists 82.5% with very good criteria. worthy. The results of the student response questionnaire obtained from small group trials get a score percentage of 87.5% and large group trials get a score percentage of 86.64% including very good criteria. Thus, from the results of this study, it can be concluded that the kinemaster learning video based on scientific literacy for elementary school students was successfully developed, suitable for use in the learning process, and received a good response from students by using this learning video in learning.

Abstract

This study is a descriptive study that aims to describe the errors made by students in solving high order thinking skills (HOTS) type math problems based on Newman. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Majasari, Pandeglang Regency with a research subject of 21 students, which will then be selected as many as 6 students to be interviewed. The research instrument used in this research is a test instrument in the form of a HOTS-type math problem with 3 straight-line equations as well as interview guidelines. The results of the study obtained information that the errors made by students when working on high order thinking skills (HOTS) type math problems with Straight Line Equations material were divided into five types of error categories, namely reading errors (errors in reading problems) of 3.6% , comprehension error (error in understanding the problem given) by 28.8%, transformation error (error in problem transformation) by 11.2%, processing skill error (error in process skill) 31.6%, and encoding error (error in processing skill). coding or conclusion error)24.8%.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Android-based interactive multimedia to take advantage of currently developing information and communication technologies and learning media innovations in elementary schools. The research method used in learning media development adopts the development design according to Borg and Gall, which has been modified by Sugiyono and has six stages: analyzing the problem, designing the product, validating the product design, revising the product design, and testing the product. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire or questionnaire that was used to determine the feasibility of the product and to know the student’s responses to the product being developed. The data analysis technique changes the qualitative assessment into a quantitative one according to the scoring rules. The results of this study are in the form of Android-based interactive multimedia on the concept of changing the shape of objects with a feasibility assessment of a team of material experts of 89% and a group of media experts of 91%, so an average feasibility assessment of 90% is obtained with the “very feasible” category. The results of student responses received an average of 93% in the “excellent” category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that interactive multimedia based on Android on the concept of changing the shape of objects developed in class V students is “very feasible” to be used in learning with material changes in the form of things. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengembangkan multimedia interaktif berbasis Android guna memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang berkembang saat ini dan juga sebagai inovasi media pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran ini mengadopsi dari desain pengembangan menurut Borg dan Gall yang telah dimodifikasi oleh Sugiyono yang memiliki enam tahapan yaitu menganalisis masalah, mendesain produk, memvalidasi desain produk, merevisi desain produk, dan menguji coba produk. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket atau kuesioner yang digunakan untuk mengetahui penilaian kelayakan produk dan mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap produk yang dikembangkan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan ialah dengan mengubah penilaian kualitatif menjadi kuantitatif sesuai dengan aturan pemberian skor. Hasil penelitian ini berupa multimedia interaktif berbasis Android pada konsep perubahan wujud benda dengan penilaian kelayakan tim ahli materi sebesar 89% dan tim ahli media sebesar 91%, maka didapatkan rata-rata penilaian kelayakan sebesar 90% dengan kategori “sangat layak”. Hasil respon peserta didik memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 93% dengan kategori “sangat baik”. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa multimedia interaktif berbasis Android pada konsep perubahan wujud benda yang dikembangkan pada peserta didik kelas V “sangat layak” untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran dengan muatan materi perubahan wujud benda.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe students' mathematical inductive reasoning ability viewed from visual, auditorial, and kinesthetic learning styles in the Sequence and Series material. The type of research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The instruments of this study were mathematical inductive reasoning ability tests, learning style questionnaires, and interview guidelines.  The subjects of this study were six students of Class XI MIPA-2 SMA Negeri 1 Kota Serang that representing each learning style. The results showed that 1) students with a visual learning style were able to do transductive reasoning, analogies, used relationship patterns to analyze situations, compiled conjectures and could estimate answers, and they were able to explain patterns; 2) students with auditorial learning styles were able to do transductive reasoning, analogies, used relationship patterns to analyze situations, compiled conjectures and  could estimate answers;  3) students with a kinesthetic learning style were able to do transductive reasoning, analogies, could use relationship patterns to analyze situations and compiled conjectures, and they were able to make generalizations.

Abstract

Konsep-konsep dalam matematika saling berkaitan antara satu dengan yang lainnya, maka siswa perlu memahami konsep dasar matematika secara mendalam. Pemahaman konsep matematika lebih bermakna jika dikontruksi oleh siswa sendiri. Kontruksi konsep matematika merupakan suatu kegiatan aktif yang dilakukan untuk memperoleh atau membangun suatu konsep dalam matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori APOS sebagai kerangka berpikir karena teori ini dapat menguraikan bagaimana kegiatan mental seorang anak yang berbentuk aksi, proses, objek dan skema ketika mengkontruksi konsep matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan kontruksi konsep barisan aritmatika dan geometri bagi siswa SMA berdasarkan teori APOS.  Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 6 siswa di SMA Citra Islami. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode studi kasus dengan dengan pendekatan APOS Research Cycle. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui 3 tahap yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa melalui empat tahapan mekanisme mental yaitu: interiorization (tahap action menuju tahap process), encapsulation (tahap process menuju tahap object), coordination (tahap process menuju tahap process) dan de-encapsulation (tahap object menuju tahap process).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran ELPSA terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan disposisi matematis di SMPN 1 Ciruas. Penelitian ini merupakan suatu eksperimen dengan The Nonequivalent Pre-test Post-test Control Group Desaign. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan tes disposisi matematis. Data posttest kemampuan pemecahan masalah dianalisis dengan uji perbedaan dua arah menggunakan uji t-test diperoleh thitung = 2,23 Sementara taraf siginifikan 0,05 dimana dk = n1+n2-2 = 61, maka diperoleh nilai ttabel yaitu 2,00 selain itu nilai t tabel lainnya adalah -2,00. Karena nilai thitung tidak berada diantara dua nilai ttabel maka H0 ditolak. Berarti pencapaian akhir kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran ELPSA lebih baik dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran PBL. Sedangkan Data skala akhir disposisi matematis dianalisis dengan uji perbedaan dua arah menggunakan uji t-test diperoleh thitung = -2,61 Sementara taraf siginifikan 0,05 dimana dk = n1+n2-2 = 61, maka diperoleh nilai ttabel yaitu 2,00 selain itu nilai t tabel lainnya adalah -2,00. Karena nilai thitung tidak berada diantara dua nilai ttabel maka H0 ditolak. Berarti pencapaian akhir disposisi matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran ELPSA lebih baik dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran PBL.
