Abstract

Pembelajaran mendalam mendorong guru untuk mampu melaksanakan proses pembelajaran yang selaras dengan pemanfaatan teknologi infomasi. Perkembangan teknologi digital dapat membuka peluang untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran melalui pemanfaatan media atau sumber belajar yang menarik, interaktif dan mudah untuk diakses. Penggunaan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL) penting untuk diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran karena secara efektif mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa berkenaan dengan konsep-konsep yang kompleks. Sumber belajar yang tepat harus mampu memfasilitasi kebutuhan akan visualisasi yang baik dalam menggambarkan konsep yang kompleks pada pembelajaran biologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tanggapan guru dan siswa mengenai rancangan pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis website terintegrasi model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBL) dalam pebelajaran biologi. Respon ini akan menjadi salah satu kunci dalam menghasilkan suatu pengembangan produk yang akan datang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 5 orang guru dan 70 siswa SMAN 1 Jampangtengah, Sukabumi. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara dan angket dengan teknis analisis data berupa deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil analaisis menunjukan bahwa: 1) Penggunaan perangkat digital sudah menjadi kebutuhan siswa dalam belajar; 2) Siswa membutuhkan bahan ajar yang menarik dan mudah untuk diakses dalam pembelajaran biologi; 3) Model pembelajaran berbasis masalah memungkinkan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa; dan 4) Guru beserta siswa merasa perlu adanya bahan ajar berbasis website terintegrasi PBL dalam pembelajaran biologi untuk dapat membantu proses pembelajaran dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar. Maka daripada itu, untuk menjawab kebutahan guru maupun siswa pada penelitian ini perlu dikembangkan bahan ajar berbasis website terintegrasi PBL untuk membantu meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran biologi.

Abstract

Biology learning currently requires students to have critical thinking ability and biological literacy so that they can improve conceptual understanding. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between critical thinking ability and biological literacy in conceptual understanding of plant tissue. This research method is quantitative descriptive research using a correlational study. The research sample used 92 students from SMA Negeri 37 Jakarta. critical thinking ability instrument uses essay type test with 24 questions, biological literacy uses multiple choice type test with 10 questions and concept mastery is a multiple-choice type test with 30 questions. In variable showed that the fifth indicator was the lowest in critical thinking, biological literacy was the lowest in the nominal dimension, and mastery of concepts corresponded to the difficulty of the cognitive level of the questions. The results of hypothesis testing show that there is a positive and linear correlation between critical thinking ability and biological literacy with conceptual understanding of plant tissue. Multiple linear regression model Multiple linear regression model Ŷ = 13.077 + 0.399X1 + 0.413X2. Critical thinking ability and biological literacy contribute 33.5% to conceptual understanding. Critical thinking skills and biological literacy have a positive relationship but with different strengths and levels of contribution to the mastery of plant tissue concepts.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to provide an overview of relevant literature regarding the enhancement of motivation and cognitive learning achievements among high school students in physics courses through the implementation of the Discovery Learning model. The research employs qualitative methods with a focus on literature review. The research process involves stages such as collecting, screening, presenting, discussing, and drawing conclusions from papers. The primary data source for this study comprises national journal articles published over the last five years (2018 to 2023). Among the identified articles, 10 out of 16 were found to align with the specified thematic focus. The application of the Discovery model in high school physics classes is executed in accordance with the referenced theoretical framework. Consequently, the implementation of the Discovery Learning model is shown to have a positive impact on increasing both motivation and cognitive learning outcomes for high school students in physics classes.

Abstract

Strong knowledge of ecosystem concepts and critical thinking skills are essential for developing environmentally responsible behavior to address contemporary environmental challenges. This behavior ensures that students not only understand ecological solutions but also actively participate in preserving the environment. This study aims to determine the relationship between students' mastery of ecosystem concepts and critical thinking skills with environmentally responsible behavior. Conducted in February 2025 at SMP Shidqia Islamic School with 112 students, the research employed a descriptive method with a correlational design. Data analysis involved prerequisite tests for normality, homogeneity, linearity, and multicollinearity to ensure validity. The findings indicate a moderate correlation between ecosystem concept mastery and environmentally responsible behavior, as well as between critical thinking skills and environmental responsibility. Furthermore, a simultaneous correlation exists when both ecosystem mastery and critical thinking skills are combined. It is recommended that biology educators integrate critical thinking exercises within ecological curriculum to effectively foster students' environmental responsibility. School policies should prioritize the implementation of active learning models that effectively bridge theoretical ecological knowledge into tangible and sustainable environmentally responsible behaviors within the educational ecosystem.

Abstract

Materials about the reproductive system are often considered difficult by students, but have a significant influence on their awareness of the importance of maintaining healthy reproductive organs and obtaining appropriate sexual education. Assessment is a structured process to collect information about student achievement in learning. One of the assessment methods that can be applied by teachers is formative assessment. The application of formative assessment can be done by utilizing technological advances, such as the use of quizizzes. Therefore, this study aims to develop a quizizz-based formative assessment for reproductive system material in class XI, with the aim of evaluating the feasibility of the product through validity testing, item reliability testing, difficulty level testing, and differentiation testing. The method used was R&D (Research and Development) with Thiagarajan's 4D approach. The research subjects consisted of 20 XI grade students in one of the high schools in Bojongkulur. The results obtained from several product validation tests by validators show that: The logical validity test reached 85.17%, out of 25 items, 20 were declared valid and 5 were invalid. Reliability of formative assessment questions shows a fairly good level of reliability with a reliability coefficient of 0.62. The findings of this study are in line with the core and basic competencies, able to measure students' high level of cognition, and effective in distinguishing between students with high and low abilities.

Abstract

Metacognition skills (MS) is an individual's ability to evaluate and regulate his own thinking. Critical thinking skills (CTS) is the ability to apply the knowledge to solve problems, evaluate information, and make solutions. Conceptual understanding (CU) refers to an integrated and functional understanding of scientific knowledge. This study aims to analyze the correlation between MS and CU on motion system; CTS and CU; and MS and CTS. This research was conducted at Public High School (PHS) 3 Bekasi in February – March 2021 by involving a sample of 110 students of Grade 11 Mathematics and Science Class, who were selected through simple random sampling technique. The instrument used were the essay test, and a multiple-choice test distributed online. The research method is descriptive method with correlational studies. The results show that there is a positive relationship between MS and CU on Motion System with a correlation of 0.967; CTS and CU with a correlation of 0.431; and MS and CTS with a correlation of 0.978.

Abstract

Kegiatan evaluasi proses pembelajaran pada peserta didik menjadi tanggung jawab siswa dan satuan pendidikan yang bersangkutan, yang meliputi proses dan hasil belajar dengan menerapkan prinsip ketuntasan belajar secara berkesinambungan. Penilaian HOTS sangat penting diterapkan pada proses pembelajaran agar peserta didik dapat dibimbing untuk tidak hanya memiliki kemampuan pada bidang pengetahuan dasar saja, namun siswa dituntut untuk dapat berpikir lebih lanjut. Peningkatan keterampilan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran melalui penilaian HOTS berbasis internet yaitu dengan kegiatan diskusi dan pelatihan sangat dibutuhkan oleh guru Biologi atau mata pelajaran lainnya di Jabodetabek secara hybrid. Kegiatan tersebut bertujuan supaya siswa semakin terampil dalam menerapkan penilaian auntentik dengan baik. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah para tenaga pendidik di Jabodetabek. Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang penilaian HOTS sebagai bentuk proses evaluasi pembelajaran yang bermakna. Manfaat PKM ini, khususnya bagi tenaga pendidik Biologi SMA di Jabodetabek adalah memberikan penjelasan tentang pengertian, bentuk dan implementasi penilaian HOTS. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat direncanakan diterapkan pada siswa MGMP BIOLOGI di Jakarta Timur melalui kegiatan luring atau tatap muka. Target peserta adalah 50 peserta secara online ataupun luring. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa presentasi dan diskusi tentang pengembangan penilaian HOTS. Luaran yang akan dihasilkan pada kegiatan ini yaitu publikasi pada jurnal nasional, HKI, Video kegiatan pengabdian yang diunggah pada YouTube, dan publikasi kegiatan pada media massa.
