Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan pengembangan modul pembelajaran kemampuan berpikir spasial. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) untuk mengisi ketiadaan modul kemampuan berpikir spasial yang penting bagi mahasiswa bidang ilmu kebumian pada umumnya dan geografi pada khususnya. Analisis data kualitatif dilakukan terhadap hasil observasi, wawancara, dan dokumen. Analisis kuantitatif menggunakan uji deskriptif statitsitik dan uji beda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil review tenaga ahli terhadap modul yang dikembangkan dinilai dengan skor 3,33 atau dikategorikan layak. Hasil uji terbatas menghasilkan penilaian dari mahasiswa adalah 3,69 atau layak digunakan. Efektivitas modul kemampuan berpikir spasial diuji dengan quasi eksperimen modul kemampuan berpikir spasial bersama perangkat pembelajaran lainnya. Hasil uji Mann Whitney U menunjukkan nilai p value < batas kritis 0,05 sehingga penerapan modul yang dikembangkan memberikan perbedaan nyata pada hasil kemampuan berpikir spasial mahasiswa.

Abstract

Learning geography emphasizes students to have critical thinking skills. Students' critical thinking ability can be influenced by the PBL model. The advantage of PBL is that students will be more faced with real problems and train students to use their critical thinking skills in solving a problem. This study was conducted to determine the effect of the PBL model assisted by LKPD on the critical thinking skills of students in the geography subject of class XI IPS MA Bilingual Batu. This study is a quasi-experimental study using two classes, namely class XI IPS 1 as the experimental class and class XI IPS 2 as the control class which was selected by random sampling. The research design used is Posttest Only Control Group Design. The instrument used is five essay questions to determine students' critical thinking skills. Data analysis was carried out using a prerequisite test consisting of a normality test and a homogeneity test as well as a t test (t test). Based on the hypothesis test that has been carried out, it is known that the significance value is less than 0.05 so that the PBL model assisted by LKPD has an effect on the critical thinking ability of the Geography subject of class XI IPS MA Bilingual Batu students. Pembelajaran geografi menekankan siswa untuk memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dapat dipengaruhi dengan model PBL. Keunggulan PBL adalah siswa akan lebih dihadapkan dengan permasalahan nyata serta melatih siswa menggunakan kemampuan berpikir kritisnya dalam menyelesaikan sebuah permasalahan. Penelitian ini dilakukan guna mengetahui pengaruh model PBL berbantuan LKPD terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa mata pelajaran geografi siswa kelas XI IPS MA Bilingual Batu. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam quasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan dua kelas, yaitu kelas XI IPS 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPS 2 sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan random sampling. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Posttest Only Control Group Design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lima butir soal esai untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji prasyarat yang terdiri dari uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas serta uji t (t test). Berdasarkan uji hipotesis yang telah dilakukan diketahui nilai signifikansi kurang 0,05 sehingga model PBL berbantuan LKPD berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis mata pelajaran Geografi siswa kelas XI IPS MA Bilingual Batu.

Abstract

Metacognition is one of the important components to measure student learning achievement in the university. Metacognition knowledge can significantly measure students' critical thinking skills, especially in solving problems. The ability to solve problems serves as a bridge among metacognition as well as educational success. This study aims to determine metacognitive knowledge on the ability to solve complex problems in social geography. The sample of the research sample were 163 divided into two control and experimental groups. The experimental class used online project-based learning, and the control group used conventional learning. The instrument used to collect the metacognitive data uses was learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI) adapted to the characteristics of students. By 77 items of LASSI were 48 items were valid and reliable used in this study. The result showed that the experimental group using online project-based learning had better metacognitive knowledge, especially on variables that had significant differences of p < 0.05, such as Information Processing, Attitude, Motivation, Self-Testing and Aids Studies. Furthermore, differences in the ability to solve complex problems of social geography are discussed in this study.

Abstract

The Sentinel-2 and Sentinel-3 constellations provide options to complement the use of open source satellites data (Modis and Landsat) through the advantages of spatial and temporal resolution to monitor terrestrial ecosystems, one of which is evapotranspiration. Recently, Guzinski developed a daily evapotranspiration estimation methodology (ETd) which combines the roles of these two satellites with several models and TSEB-PT becomes the model with the best accuracy for EC sites on their study areas. This research is intented to assess the performance of TSEB-PT in general to be applied in East Java (Indonesia) which has different climates and landscapes using the same methodology as Guzinski. Some experimental parameterizations were also used outside of the standard operational mode, including the resistance model, and ETi to ETd extrapolation method. Our study found that the model worked well in Juanda site and was applied in other areas but did not work as well as in Juanda. The Rsl from ECMWF reanalysis data had the most significant role in producing errors, causing high average bias error in ET estimation of ~2mm/day. Landscape also affects the model performance, although in low to medium scale, whereas the model tends to work very well on homogeneous lowland landscape but the accuracy would drop on mountainous area as the cloud cover probability increased resulting the higher error chance on ETi to ETd extrapolation stage. Konstelasi Sentinel-2 dan Sentinel-3 memberikan opsi untuk melengkapi penggunaan data satelit open source (modis/landsat) melalui keunggulan resolusi spasial dan temporal untuk monitoring ekosistem terestris, salah satunya evapotranspirasi. Baru-baru ini Guzinski mengembangkan metodologi estimasi evapotranspirasi harian (ETd) yang menggabungkan peran kedua satelit ini dengan beberapa model kesetimbangan energi dan TSEB-PT menjadi model dengan akurasi paling baik terhadap situs EC di beberapa wilayah studinya. Artikel ini dibuat untuk menilai kinerja TSEB-PT secara umum ketika diterapkan di jawa timur yang berbeda secara iklim dan landskapnya menggunakan metodologi yang sama Guzinski. Beberapa pengaturan yang berbeda dengan mode operasional model dijalankan antara lain model resistans dan proporsi nilai G serta tiga metode ekstrapolasi ETi ke ETd. Studi kami menemukan bahwa model bekerja baik pada stasiun Juanda dan memiliki kelayakan untuk diterapkan di wilayah lain meskipun tidak sebaik di Juanda. Masalah utama dan paling signifikan disemua stasiun pada temuan kami ada pada input data Rsl yang berpengaruh pada tingkat kesuksesan pemodelan serta bias error yang cukup tinggi (~2 mm/hari). Bentang lahan juga berpengaruh pada tingkat rendah-menengah pada performa model dimana wilayah homogen cenderung memiliki tingkat keberhasilan yang tinggi, serta wilayah dengan potensi frekuensi tutupan awan tinggi seperti pegunungan berisiko pada penurunan akurasi pada tahap ekstrapolasi ETi ke ETd.

Abstract

Tujuan riset ini untuk mengukur tingkat pengetahuan, persepsi, terhadap partisipasi siswa dan untuk menjelaskan hubungan antara pengetahuan dan persepsi terhadap partisipasi siswa SMAN 10 Surabaya dalam pengelolaan lingkungan dan pemanfaatan energi terbarukan yang di kembangkan di Kota Surabaya. Riset ini dirancang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif untuk menganalisis informasi yang terkumpul. Sampel ditentukan dengan teknik proporsional random sampling dan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda. Riset ini menunjukkan hasil pengetahuan siswa dalam pengelolaan lingkungan dan pemanfaatan energi terbarukan sebesar 30,2% untuk katagori tinggi, 56,2% untuk katagori sedang dan 13,4% untuk katagori rendah. Sedangkan tingkat persepsi sebanyak 12,9% untuk katagori tinggi, 71,9% untuk katagori sedang, dan 15,1% untuk katagori rendah. Dan untuk tingkat partisipasi siswa diketahui memiliki 6,3% katagori tinggi, 68,1% untuk katagori sedang, dan 25,3% untuk katagori rendah. Hasil uji nilai R Square menunjukkan nilai sebesar 0,161 bahwa variabel X menjelaskan terhadap variabel Y sebesar 16,1% sedangkan 83,9% dijelaskan oleh faktor lain

Abstract

Learning in the 2013 curriculum scientific learning process through 5 activities: observing, asking, gathering information, associating, and communicating. Modules are one of the teaching materials that can help scientific learning. This study aims to develop a geography module based on a scientific approach to the hydrosphere dynamics material. The development procedure adopts the ADDIE model with five stages of analysis, design, and development, implementation, and evaluation. However, the research and development of this module has only reached the development stage due to limited time, effort and cost. The subjects of this study were experts (material, media, and language) to determine the level of module validity and prospective users (teachers and students) to determine the response to the module. Data collection using a validation questionnaire to obtain quantitative data and qualitative data. The results of the research and development of the module are very valid/feasible to use with a score from the material validator of 91.4 percent, 100 percent media, and 100 percent language. Prospective users (teachers and students) respond to the module, which shows the module "very good" with the total score obtained from the teacher is 100 percent and the student is 88.5 percent. Pembelajaran pada kurikulum 2013 menekankan proses pembelajaran saintifik melalui kegiatan 5M yaitu mengamati, menanya, mengumpulkan informasi, mengasosiasi, dan mengomunikasi. Modul merupakan salah satu bahan ajar yang dapat membantu pembelajaran saintifik. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengembangkan modul geografi berbasis pendekatan saintifik pada materi dinamika hidrosfer. Prosedur pengembangan mengadopsi model ADDIE dengan 5 tahapan analize, design, dan development, implementation, dan evaluation. Namun pada penelitian dan pengembangan modul ini hanya sampai pada tahap develompent dikarenakan keterbatasan waktu, tenaga dan biaya. Subjek penelitian ini adalah ahli (materi, media, dan bahasa) untuk mengetahui tingkat validitas modul, dan calon pengguna (guru dan siswa) untuk mengetahui respon terhadap modul. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket validasi, untuk memeroleh data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan modul sangat valid/layak digunakan dengan perolehan skor dari validator materi sebesar 91,4 persen, media 100 persen, bahasa 100 persen. Calon pengguna (guru dan siswa) memberikan respon terhadap modul yang menujukkan modul “sangat baik” dengan jumlah skor yang didapat dari guru sebesar 100 persen dan siswa sebesar 88,5 persen.

Abstract

Implementing geography learning using the blended learning model is challenging for most geography teachers because this subject is ‘hands-on’ and needs to be learned directly in a real environment using fieldwork. This study aimed to test the pedagogical effectiveness of the geographic-inquiry on virtual environment (GIVE) application in supporting fieldwork based on blended learning to improve students’ geographical thinking. This study used a quasi-experimental method involving 216 high school students from three schools. The paired sample t-test (Sig. 2-tailed 0.000) shows that GIVE has a pedagogical influence on students’ geographical thinking. GIVE also offers a big effect size (Cohen’s d=1.37). The technology and the right smartphone application can help develop a virtual environment close to a real one, so fieldwork and hands-on learning activities can be carried out in blended learning; this helps to increase the quality of geography learning.

Abstract

Character education is an important part of the world of education. Teachers are required to be able to have character and provide character education in accordance with Pancasila. The aim of this research is to analyze and describe various successful forms of character education carried out by teachers at the Pancasila-based Bruder Singkawang Elementary School which helps strengthen the multicultural society of Singkawang City and have an awareness of differences. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use Miles and Hubberman in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions/verification. The results of the research show that teachers at Bruder Singkawang Elementary School can implement various real character education actions into learning such as forming peer tutors, saying greetings according to each religion, strengthening understanding of differences from stories of life experiences, and other real actions as well as other activities in the environment. schools such as the language month program, GSM and GKM. The activities carried out in learning are carried out differently between teachers depending on creativity to develop character education. The understanding of differences from the teachers at Bruder Singkawang Elementary School helps students to gain experience regarding the value of differences and remains based on Pancasila, thereby helping to strengthen character in a multicultural society, especially in Singkawang City.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in creating the next generation of the nation who possess quality skills and thinking and can change the world for the better. In the development of education in Indonesia in 2023, schools have adopted the 'merdeka' curriculum in their learning processes. In the era of globalization, the implementation of the 'merdeka' curriculum involves the use of technology or digital means. Concerning the outlined issues, a researcher is interested in conducting a study on the development of teaching materials, specifically an E-LKPD (Electronic Learning and Teaching Materials) based on Game-Based Learning for mapping subjects. The developmental research aims to create the E-LKPD, measure its practicality, and assess the effectiveness of student learning outcomes. The developmental model applied in this research is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This developmental research employs both quantitative and qualitative data. For data collection techniques, the researcher uses surveys, interviews, and documentation, applying percentage techniques. The testing of the teaching material product will be carried out at Panjura Malang High School, Class X IPS. Based on evaluations from expert design validators, content expert validators, student responses, teacher responses, and the effectiveness test of student learning outcomes, it is concluded that the Game-Based Learning-based E-LKPD, aided by Live Worksheets, is highly suitable and appropriate for implementation in geography education for Class X IPS, especially for the topic of mapping. Pendidikan memiliki peran krusial dalam menciptakan penerus bangsa yang memiliki kemampuan dan pemikiran berkualitas serta bisa mengubah dunia menjadi lebih baik. Perkembangan pendidikan di Indonesia tahun 2023 sekolah sudah menggunakan kurikulum merdeka dalam proses pembelajarannya. Pada era globalisasi, pengimplementasian kurikulum merdeka menggunakan bantuan teknologi atau secara digital. Terkait dengan isu yang telah diuraikan, peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan studi pengembangan bahan ajar E-LKPD berbasis Game-Based Learning pada materi pemetaan. Penelitian pengembangan bertujuan untuk mengembangkan E-LKPD, mengukur tingkat kepraktisan, dan mengukur tingkat keefektifan hasil belajar siswa. Model pengembangan yang diterapkan pada penelitian yakni ADDIE (analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi). Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Pada teknik pengumpulan data, peneliti memakai teknik angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan menerapkan teknik persentase. Uji coba produk bahan ajar akan dilakukan di SMA Panjura Malang kelas X IPS. Berdasarkan evaluasi dari validator ahli desain, validator ahli materi, respon siswa, respon guru, dan uji keefektifan hasil belajar siswa, disimpulkan bahwa E-LKPD berbasis Game-Based Learning berbantuan Live Worksheets sangat cocok dan layak untuk diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran geografi pada kelas X IPS, terutama pada topik pemetaan.

Abstract

The UM University has morphological variations and different surface characteristics, resulting in differences in air temperature between one location and another. The purpose of this study is to determine the distribution of air temperature, map isotherms and determine the relationship between environmental conditions and air temperature on the UM campus. This research was conducted at 12.00, 13.00, and 14.00 WIB with 32 points. The method used is descriptive analysis of quantitative approaches with data processing using SPSS software. This study obtained results including: (1) There are temperature differences at several points in the UM campus area due to the lack of dense vegetation which is inversely proportional to the density of buildings; (2) There are several hot centers in the UM campus environment with the hottest point at the Cakrawala Stadium, due to the absence of vegetation; and (3) The difference in air temperature in the UM campus environment is due to the lack of even distribution of vegetation and the high density of buildings. Even distribution of vegetation needs to be done at UM to reduce the increase in air temperature. Wilayah UM memiliki variasi morfologi dan karakteristik permukaan yang berbeda-beda, sehingga menimbulkan perbedaan suhu udara antara satu lokasi dengan lokasi lainnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini guna mengetahui persebaran suhu udara, dapat memetakan isoterm dan mengetahui hubungan kondisi lingkungan dengan suhu udara di kampus UM. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada pukul 12.00, 13.00, dan 14.00 WIB dengan 32 titik. Metode yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pengolahan data menggunakan software SPSS. Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil di antaranya: (1) Terdapat perbedaan suhu pada beberapa titik di kawasan kampus UM dikarenakan kurang rapatnya vegetasi yang berbanding terbalik dengan rapatnya bangunan; (2) Terdapat beberapa pusat panas di lingkungan kampus UM dengan titik terpanas di Stadion Cakrawala, disebabkan karena tidak adanya vegetasi; dan (3) Perbedaan suhu udara di lingkungan kampus UM disebabkan karena kurangnya pemerataan vegetasi dan kerapatan gedung yang tergolong tinggi. Pemerataan vegetasi perlu dilakukan di UM untuk mengurangi peningkatan suhu udara.
