Abstract

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui kesukaran belajar yang dialami oleh anak slow learner di kelas 3 SDN 02 Anggrasmanis Karanganyar, serta cara guru memberikan layanan untuk anak slow learner. Data dikumpulkan melalui pendekatan studi kasus. Peneliti menghubungkan data dengan Teknik Observasi, wawancara dengan tenaga pendidik dan siswa serta dokumentasi. Perolehan wawancara yang peneliti lakukan dengan guru dan 3 siswa slow learner selanjutnya dianalisis lalu ditarik kesimpulan sehingga mendapat kesimpulan tentang pelayananan bimbingan terhadap anak slow learner yang mengalami kesulitan belajar. Hasil dari pengumpulan data ini di temukan 3 siswa slow learner yang mengalami kesulitan belajar dan mereka mendapatkan layanan bimbingan berupa tes calistung yang dilakukan setiap 1 bulan sekali.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi guru dalam mengembangkan kompetensi sosial dan emosional siswa slow learner di kelas III SD Negeri Ngreco 05 Sukoharjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, dengan guru kelas dan tiga siswa slow learner sebagai subjek utama. Keabsahan data diperoleh melalui triangulasi teknik dan sumber, sementara analisis dilakukan secara tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menerapkan berbagai strategi seperti kerja kelompok, permainan edukatif, simulasi sosial, pemberian contoh, dukungan positif, komunikasi yang mendukung, dan tutor sebaya. Strategi ini mendorong keterlibatan siswa dalam interaksi sosial, meningkatkan rasa percaya diri, dan menumbuhkan empati serta tanggung jawab. Dalam pengembangan aspek emosional, guru menggunakan pendekatan yang bersifat pribadi seperti kegiatan refleksi, cerita bergambar, aktivitas seni, teknik relaksasi, dan penyediaan ruang tenang di kelas. Pendekatan ini membantu siswa mengenali, mengekspresikan, dan mengelola emosi dengan lebih sehat. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam memperkuat pemahaman tentang pentingnya peran guru dalam pembinaan sosial-emosional siswa berkebutuhan khusus dan mendukung praktik inklusif di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of contextual strategies based on digital media in improving critical and creative thinking skills on photosynthesis material in elementary schools. This study was conducted at SDN Sukasenang, Singaparna, Tasikmalaya, West Java. The population and sample of this study were fourth-grade students, with a total of 116 students. The sampling technique used was availability sampling or area sampling using a quantitative experimental control group pretest-posttest research method. Data were collected through pretest and posttest tests, and analyzed using the t statistical test and one way ANOVA. The results showed that contextual learning strategies based on digital media were effective in improving students' critical and creative thinking skills, with a significant increase in posttest scores compared to pretests. The average contextual score on critical thinking skills increased from 80.93 on the pretest to 87.52 on the posttest, and the average contextual score on creative thinking skills increased from 74.86 on the pretest to 81.40 on the posttest. This study confirms that digital media-based contextual strategies have a positive impact on the development of critical and creative thinking skills of grade 4 students of Sukasenang Tasikmalaya public elementary school, with digital media-based contextual strategies on critical thinking skills showing superior results. Based on these findings, researchers hope to make a meaningful contribution to the development of the world of education.

Abstract

Inclusive education in Indonesia faces challenges related to the mental health and social skills of students with special needs. Peer-support programs are increasingly recognized as a promising approach to foster emotional well-being and social competence in inclusive classrooms. This study employed a concurrent embedded mixed-methods design, with quantitative analysis as the primary approach supported by qualitative insights. A total of 80 students with special needs (aged 8–15) from inclusive elementary schools in Surakarta were selected through purposive sampling. Quantitative data were collected using the Social Skills Improvement System (SSIS), while qualitative data were gathered through interviews, observations, and open-ended surveys. A paired-sample t-test was used to analyze pre- and post-intervention differences. Quantitative findings showed significant improvements in mental health (M = 58.20 to 63.45; t(65) = 3.87, p 0.01) and social skills (M = 62.45 to 67.10; t(79) = 3.42, p 0.01) after implementing the peer-support program. Qualitative data reinforced these results, highlighting increased self-confidence, empathy, peer collaboration, emotional safety, and reduced bullying behaviors among students. The peer-support program effectively enhanced students' social-emotional development and promoted a more inclusive, supportive school environment. While the results are promising, limitations such as the absence of a control group and short-term measurement suggest the need for future longitudinal and controlled studies. These findings support the integration of peer-support models into inclusive school practices to improve psychosocial outcomes.

Abstract

Slow learners are students with below-average cognitive abilities who require more time and support to grasp academic concepts. Their learning challenges often include difficulties in reading, writing, and comprehending instructional content, resulting in delayed task completion and lower academic performance. Addressing these needs is crucial within inclusive classrooms, especially under the Indonesian Guru Penggerak (Teacher Leader) program, which aims to foster transformative, student-centered learning.This qualitative study explores how a Guru Penggerak implements differentiated learning strategies to support slow learner students in a second-grade inclusive classroom at SDN Kadokan 02. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with the teacher and principal, and analysis of relevant documents. Data triangulation was used to ensure validity, and analysis followed the steps of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing.Findings indicate that the teacher implemented two core differentiation strategies: process differentiation—providing guided instruction, visual media, and individualized support—and product differentiation—modifying assessment formats to align with students’ readiness levels. Regular students engaged in more independent learning, while slow learners received intensive scaffolding through visual aids, repeated instructions, and individualized feedback.The differentiation approach effectively addressed diverse readiness levels within the same classroom, supporting both slow learners and their peers. The role of the Guru Penggerak was critical in designing inclusive and adaptive learning processes.Differentiated instruction, as practiced by Guru Penggerak, is an effective strategy to accommodate slow learners in inclusive classrooms. This study offers practical insights for educators aiming to implement equitable teaching strategies.
