Abstract

The scholarship selection process at X University has traditionally relied on manual methods, primarily focusing on the highest GPA, which often leads to financial constraints and potential biases. This research aims to address these issues by improving the selection process for scholarship admissions using the Promethee method. By introducing new criteria such as residence status, parental education, employment status, income, home ownership, number of dependents, and life score, the study seeks to provide a more comprehensive and fair assessment. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and literature study to understand the concept of scholarship selection. The research applied the Promethee algorithm to 20 students who received scholarships from Panasonic in 2023. Confusion matrix analysis showed an accuracy level of 50%, with a precision value of 100% and a recall value of 50%. Despite the need for improved accuracy, it is hoped that the Promethee method can help the X University Student Agency determine fairer and more efficient scholarship selections. This research is expected to contribute positively to improving the scholarship selection process at X University with a focus on efficiency and fairness.

Abstract

One of the key public health service facilities is Public Health Center (Puskesmas). For new residents, it is very important to have information about the location of the puskesmas or hospital as well as information about the shortest path to the puskesmas or hospital. The size of the region and the volume of traffic present a challenge for people who are unfamiliar with the Karanganyar Regency's routes. The aim of this research is to enable the community to easily locate the health center and to provide access for numerous individuals who require assistance in locating the health center in Karanganyar Regency. Floyd-Warshall research methodology was used in this study to create this system while data collection from Karanganyar District Health Office is then required in this study. The results of this study are in the form of the closest route that is connected to Google Maps, which is information about the location of the health center in Karanganyar Regency which is beneficial for people outside Karanganyar Regency. This study's test findings, which used Floyd Warshall's results approach, further ensure its success in identifying the closest path. The test scenario and the available observations matched 91.6% of the 12 test components, according to the system functionality test. Based on the validity test, it has an average error in predicting the distance from the starting point to the search location of 98%.

Abstract

The market opportunity for sharia banks is still very large, which is a challenge for sharia banks to attract and convert Muslim people into customers. Kutai Kartanegara Regency is one of the districts of East Kalimantan province which has an area of 27,263.10 km² and has a large potential market for sharia customers. This type of research is called field research, and the research approach in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. This research was carried out at Bank Kaltim Syariah Tenggarong branch and other that have implemented the Sharia Mobile Service program as well as customers who use and do not use sharia product services in several border sub-districts in Kutai Kartanegara district. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation as well as data analysis techniques through qualitative descriptive analysis in this research, namely, explaining the urgency of community needs-based sharia mobile services. The sharia mobile service program already exists at the Kaltimtara Bank Balikpapan and Samarinda branches, but website do not match those carried out in the field. Bank Kaltimtara Syariah North Penajam Paser sub-branch and Tenggarong Kutai Kartanegara Branch need to have sharia mobile service vehicles for both of them. This has been reviewed from 5 conditions, namely the economic condition of the community, socio-cultural demographics/psychography of the community, politics , government, and law, technology, and competitive factors. The results went to the people of Kutai Kartanegara Regency,the community wants sharia-based services and takes into account the pick-up and drop-off services available in the Sharia Mobile Service program as well as financing that is profitable for customers.

Abstract

This present study describes how do the process and results of the development of mathematics teaching based on realistic mathematics education to enhance the mathematical connection ability of Middle-School students. The teaching material development model refers to the 4-D Thiagarajan model which has 4 steps namely defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. This participant is studying distributed to learners from a Middle-School 2 Candi Sidoarjo. The study data were obtained with a validation sheet, an observation sheet of teacher and student activities, a student response questionnaire, and a mathematical connection ability test. The products of this study are the learning plan, student worksheets, and mathematical connection ability tests. The results showed that the learning material fulfilled the validity, practical and effective. The results of students' mathematical connection ability tests improved based on t-tests correlated and N-gain analysis. Therefore, it is possible to say that the development of mathematics teaching based on realistic mathematics education can enhance the ability of mathematical connections. As a suggestion, teachers in managing mathematics teaching are very necessary to develop the right tools, so that it has a positive impact on student learning outcomes, especially the ability of students' mathematical connections.Keywords: Realistic Mathematics Education, Mathematical Connection, Middle-School, 4-D Model

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to determine the tensile strength fiber-reinforced composite material sago stalk fibers combined with teak sawdust and value bending test and tensile. Method that is utilized on this research which is manufacture of composite particle board with a varied mix of polyster resins powder are 30:30, 30:20 and 40:10. Manufacture of Composites made with a hand lay-up method. The test specimen were prepared standart testing ASTM D 790-02 bending refers to the standart and ASTM D -5941 for the tensile test. From the test results bending and pulll on the composite resin-polyster powder particles obtained maximum strength polyester contained in the composition of the mixture of 40: 30: 30 to the value of 259.101 N / mm2 and composition of the mixture of 30%: 30% to the value of       31.059 N / mm2. Key word : Komposit is polyester's particle, hand lay up, bending and spectacular.  ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kekuatan tarik material komposit yang diperkuat serat tangkai sagu dipadukan dengan serbuk gergaji kayu jati dan nilai uji bending serta tarik. Metode yang digunakan pada peneltian ini yaitu pembuatan papan partikel komposit divariasikan dengan campuran serbuk-resin polyster yaitu 30:30, 30:20 dan 40:10. Pembuatan komposit dilakukan dengan metode hand lay up. Pengujian spesimen dibuat berdasarkan standar pengujian bending mengacu pada ASTM D 790-02 dan ASTM D - 5941 untuk uji tarik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kekuatan bending yang tertinggi terdapat pada komposit campuran 40:30:30 yaitu 278.1268 N/mm2, dan   yang terendah terdapat pada komposisi campuran 50:30:10 sebesar 118.87844 N/mm2. Kekuatan tarik tertinggi berada pada komposisi campuran 30:30 sebesar 31.059 N/mm2 , yang terendah terdapat pada komposisi campuran 40:10 sebesar 18.136 N/mm2. Kata Kunci: Komposit partikel-polyester, hand layup, bending dan tarik.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan yang ingin dicapai dari peneltian ini adalah dapat memperoleh kadar etanol 99% berbahan dasar nira aren dengan destilasi fraksinasi ganda serta dapat menjadikan etanol berbahan dasar nira aren yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan bakar nabati penganti bahan bakar fosil.Proses yang dilakukan untuk memproduksi etanol menggunakan proses destilasi fraksinasi, dengan bahan baku yang terlebih dahulu difermentasi menggunakan ragi, arang dan kapur dengan komposisi fermentasi 1: ragi 100 gram, arang 100 gram, dan kapur 300 gram. Fermentasi 2: ragi 100 gram, arang 300 gram, dan kapur 100 gram. Fermentasi 3: ragi 200 gram, arang 200 gram, dan kapur 100 gram. Fermentasi 4: ragi 300 gram, arang 100 gram, dan kapur 100 gram. Kemudian etanol yang dihasilkan dilakukan ujicoba sebagain bahan bakar pada mesin pemotong rumput serta mengukur temperature nyala api dari etanol.Pada komposisi campuran fermentasi 300 gram ragi, 100 gram arang, dan 100 gram kapur sirih dengan menggunakan destilasi fraksinasi ganda menghasilkan etanol dengan kadar tertinggi yaitu 92%, dan belum dapat digunakan pada mesin pemotong rumput dengan baik karena putaran motor tidak stabil, serta pada kadar etanol 92% menghasilkan temperatur nyala api rata-rata sebesar 71,866 ºC. Kata Kunci:  analisa bioetanol dari nira aren, destilasi fraksinasi ganda, nira aren sebagai bahan bakar. ABSTACT Objectives to be achieved from this research is that it can obtain 99% ethanol made from palm juice by distillation fractionation double and can make ethanol made from palm sugar that can be used as bio fuels substitute for fossil fuels.The process is carried out to produce ethanol using fractional distillation process, with raw materials in advance fermented using yeast, charcoal and chalk with fermentation composition 1: 100 grams of yeast, 100 grams of charcoal, and 300 grams of chalk. Second fermentation: 100 grams of yeast, 300 grams of charcoal, and 100 grams of chalk. Third Fermentation:  200 grams of yeast, 200 grams of charcoal, and 100 grams of chalk. Fourth Fermentation: 300 grams of yeast, 100 grams of charcoal, and 100 grams of chalk. Then the ethanol be tested as a fuel in the lawnmower and measure the flame temperature of ethanol.On the composition of the fermentation mixture of 300 grams of yeast, 100 grams of charcoal, and 100 grams of chalk whiting using double fractionation distillation to produce ethanol with the highest level of 92%, and can not be used on a lawnmower well, because the engine turns unstable, as well as the 92% ethanol produces a flame temperature by an average of 71.866 ºC. Keywords: analysis of bio ethanol from sugar palm sap, a double distillation fractionation, palm sugar as fuel

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the changes in the microstructure that occur in low carbon steel due to welding using the type of electrodes E6013 and E7016 with a diameter of 2.6 with a current of 60-110. This research was carried out by several processes, namely specimen making, testing process and data analysis. In the specimen test, the microstructure of medium carbon steel was observed in the base metal region, the HAZ metal region, and the weld metal region. Microstructure testing was carried out to see the occurrence of changes in the microstructure of the specimen as a result of the welding process and the test results obtained were in the form of microstructure images with 500x magnification. The results showed that the changes in the microstructure that occurred in the HAZ region. This is found in the type of electrode E6013 indicating the higher the current used, the finer the grain size of the resulting structure. Meanwhile, for the E7016 electrode, it is the opposite where the higher the current used, the coarser the grain size of the resulting structure. Keywords: HAZ area, microstructure, type of electrode

Abstract

Energy demand and consumption is currently increasing and is focused on the use of fuel oil and gas whose prices are increasing and reserves are very limited. One alternative energy that needs to be developed through processing agricultural waste is briquette fuel. The raw material for briquettes used in this study is coconut shell. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in mesh size on the thermal characteristics of coconut shell charcoal briquettes. The research method used in the form of experiments with the stages of the implementation of the coconut shell made and crushed and sifted using 20, 30 and 40 mesh sieves and using starch adhesive 10 % of the weight of raw materials with a pressure of 100 kgf/cm². The results showed that the smaller the particle size, the higher the heating value of 6118.49 cal/g. 8.45% moisture content, 2.56 % ash content, 13.28 % fly substance and 75.71 % bonded carbon. The conclusion of this research is the level of thermal characteristics of coconut shell charcoal briquettes is influenced by particle size, the smaller the particle size, the higher the heating value produced.Keywords: Briquette, coconut shell, starch, particle size

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce physical characteristic data, including density and dynamicviscosity from mixing of used oil and pyrolysis oil, producing flame of mixing used oil and pyrolysis oil, andalso to produce efficient use of pressured stove kerosene And mixture of used oil and pyrolysis oils towardsthe use of gas fueled stoves. This research was conducted at University Halu Oleo Faculty of MechanicalEngineering Laboratory and Integrated Chemical Research Laboratory, math and science fakulty UniversityHalu Oleo. The results of this research indicated that the mass density and the viscosity of each percentageof used oil and pyrolysis oil mixture are increased, the rate of flow of spent kerosene oil and pyrolysis oil ateach percentage of mixture is sufficient. Decrease in Fuel Flow Rate, Characteristic The flame generated onmixing used oil and pyrolysis oils is red yellow with a maximum height of 25 cm at each percentage ofmixing, and The use of pressured stoves fuel and used oil mixtures and pyrolysis oils is more efficient againstthe use of gas-fired stoves , With a ratio of 4 liters of water.Keywords: Used Oil, Pyrolysis Oil, Pressure Gas, Pressure Cooker.
