Abstract

This research was aimed to identify the agrotourism potential in Jember Regency, to identify the condition of internal and external environment of Sukorambi Botanic Garden. The research used the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method to find out the level of the visitors’ interest and satisfaction. For the internal and external analyses, the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) method, the External Factor Evaluation (EFE) method,  Strength Weakness Opportunity and Threat (SWOT) and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) were used to determine the strategies for marketing Sukorambi Botanic Garden. Three resource persons were used by purposive sampling technique. Thirty respondents were used for analytical level of interest by distributing questionnaires to visitors. The results of the research showed that the priorities of marketing Sukorambi Botanic Garden were 1) the strategy to maximize the concept of recreation while studying  such as crop cultivation and animal farming, 2) the strategy to increase the number of outbound games, 3) the strategy to coordinate intensively with stakeholders for improvement and sustainable development, 4) the strategy to get a loan from  a financial institution to increase capital, 5) the strategy to optimize promotion activities, (6)  the strategy to improve the quality of community services through improved performance and transportation facilities, 7) the strategy to improve the quality of services through trainings for the employees to improve the company’s management system, 8) the strategy to realize facility development on the remainder of the land  accompanied by improvement of existing facilities, and 9) the strategy to optimize online promotion activities.    Keywords: Agrotourism, marketing development strategy, Sukorambi Botanic Garden, AHP, SWOTAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi agrowisata di Kabupaten Jember,  mengidentifikasi kondisi lingkungan internal dan eksternal Taman Botani Sukorambi dan menentukan prioritas strategi pengembangan pemasaran agrowisata Taman Botani Sukorambi. Responden yang digunakan untuk analisis tingkat kepentingan adalah sebanyak 30 orang dengan menyebarkan kuisioner kepada pengunjung. Abstract

PT XYZ is foreign investment company on food and beverages manufacturer with health benefit positioning. PT XYZ is willing to consistent of safety, quality and productivity (SQP) aspect, therefore should be encouraged by high quality human resources. Employee motivation was stimulated by remuneration program in order to increase employee performance in PT XYZ.  The aim of this study was to analyze remuneration effect towards employee motivation and it’s implication to employee performance at PT XYZ using employee perception. The population of this study is taken from staff level to supervisor level from 10 Departments. The numbers of sample are 132 people. The sampling technique used in the study was stratified with purposive and convenience sampling method with the analytical method using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The result of this study shows remuneration has significant effect towards employee motivation and employee performance, while motivation has insignificant effect towards employee performance. SEM results show each highest coefficient are wages based on needs indicator at remuneration variable, individual development indicator at variable motivation and obedience indicator at employee performance variable. Management of PT XYZ should be maintaining components of remuneration, motivation and employee performance that’s already had good score and also pay attention to component of remuneration which has low score index to enhance employee motivation and also employee performance.Keywords: employee motivation, employee performance, remuneration, SEM

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the factors influencing the behavior of management information system users at the National Accreditation Committee. The theory used was based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) theory extension, and the analytical method used was the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The factors were according to Davis's modified theory, where external factors were the quality of internet connection and leadership support. Internal factors included perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, attitudes toward using, behavioral intention to use, and actual system use. This research was conducted on 128 respondents representing the Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs). This research showed that leadership support had a significant effect on perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. Meanwhile, the quality of the internet connection only affected the perceived usefulness. Leadership support, quality of internet connection, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and attitudes toward using were factors that affected user behavior intention to use. This research's managerial implication is to strengthen the server and increase the leadership's motivation towards the CAB employees by socializing accreditation applications. Abstract

The purposes of the study were: (1) to analyze the influence of leadership style and work motivation on organizational commitment; (2) analyze the influence of leadership style, employee motivation, and organizational commitment to employee performance; (3) analyze the effect of leadership style on job motivation; (4) analyze the effect of work motivation on leadership style. The data were collected by using questionnaire with 81 respondents, and subsequently processed by the method of Structural Equation Modelling of Lisrel Program. The results of the study showed that leadership style has the most influencing impact regarding the indicators of the reward explanation. Work motivation which has the most influencing impact is the pride indicators in completing works. The organizational commitment which has the most influencing impact is the indicator of the organization boasts to others. Performance which has the most influencing impact is indicated by the ability to cooperate with others. Thus, leadership style has a greater influence on organizational commitment than on performance. Work motivation also has a greater influence on organizational commitment than on performance. The organizational commitment has the most impact on performance compared to the leadership style and motivation, while leadership style has a greater influence on work motivation than work motivation on leadership styles.Keywords: leadership style, employee performance, organizational commitment, work motivation

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to analyze the employee workload, and calculate the optimum labor at PTPN IV. Work sample was the method used to analyze the workload of the employees, and WISN (Workload Indicator of Staffing Needs) was used to calculate the optimum labor. Through the work sample collection technique of WISN, the analysis of workload and calculation of labor were conducted. The utilization of working time of the plant assistants was 77.5 % for their productive activity, 13.7 % for their personal activity, and 8.3 % for their-non-productive activity. Furthermore, the utilization of working time of the processing technique assistants was 82.1 % for their productive activity, 11.7 % for their personal activity and 6.2 % for their non-productive activity. This shows that the workload for the plant assistants is reasonably high and that for the processing techniques assistants is high. Through the method of WISN, the average calculation results showed that there is an excess of two employees of plants and a shortage of two employees for the processing technique. The managerial implications that can be used as input include the need of the company to conduct a reassessment of the planning of Human Resources of PTPN IV functional unit in terms of recruitment, competency and conducted training.Key words: workload, work sampling, labor requirement, WISN

Abstract

Bogor Agricultural University supporting staff (known as tenaga kependidikan or tendik) is one of the Human Resources (HR) that have a strategic role in providing excellent services to the students and lectures. Therefore they need to have an adequate competence. Objective of this research is (1) analyze the influence of work motivation toward job satisfaction of supporting staff, (2) analyze the influence of work climate toward job satisfaction of supporting staff and, (3) analyze the influence job satisfaction toward of supporting staff’s performance in Bogor Agricultural University. Based on SEM-PLS analysis, it was known that work motivation and work climate significantly affected job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction significantly affected by the supporting staff performance in Bogor Agricultural University. In addition, R-Square value for job satisfaction was 0.458. It means that work motivation and work climate has contributed positively to the satisfaction as much as 45.8%, and the rest 54.2% was influenced by other factors. Furthermore, R-Square value for Supporting staff performan was 0.028. it means that supporting staff performance was positively influenced by job satisfaction as much as 2.8%, and the rest 97.2% was influenced by other factors.Keywords: climate, supporting staff, work motivation, supporting staff, SEMAbstrak: Tenaga Kependidikan (Tendik) Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) sebagai salah satu Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) yang memiliki peran strategik dalam memberikan pelayanan, baik kepada mahasiswa maupun dosen perlu memiliki kompetensi memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) menganalisis pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja Tendik, (2) menganalisis pengaruh iklim kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja Tendik, dan (3) menganalisis pengaruh kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja Tendik IPB. Berdasarkan analisis SEM-PLS, diketahui bahwa motivasi kerja dan iklim berpengaruh nyata terhadap kepuasan kerja Tendik IPB, kepuasan kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja Tendik. Nilai R-Square untuk kepuasan adalah 0,458. Artinya, motivasi kerja dan iklim kerja mempunyai kontribusi positif terhadap kepuasan 45,8 % dan 54,2% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Selanjutnya, nilai R-Square untuk kinerja Tendik IPB adalah 0,028. Artinya, kinerja Tendik IPB dipengaruhi secara positif oleh kepuasan kerja sebesar 2,8% dan 97,2 % dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.Kata kunci: iklim kerja, kepuasan kerja, motivasi kerja, tenaga kependidikan, SEM

Abstract

The objective of the research is to identify the internal and external environment condition in (Galur Murni Cattle breeder cooperation), Koperasi Peternak Galur Murni to analyze the strategic alternative to be implemented in  the development of Koperasi Peternak Galur Murni and  to prioritize development strategy of Koperasi Peternak Galur Murni in the future.  The analysis covered descriptive analysis, Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE), External Factor Evaluation (EFE), Internal-External (IE) matrix analysis, Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threat (SWOT) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP).  The result shows that the strategic factor that becomes the main strength with relatively high importance is Quality Control system for milk received from the farmers.  The alternative strategy that can be implemented in KPGM is increasing the promotion activities by socializing the importance of drinking milk, production activities efficiency by arranging a Standard Operational Procedure (SOP), strengthening of cooperation, registering the product to Food and Drug Control Agency/Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM), conducting intensive communication with all the cooperation members, using the appropriate technology in production activities, diversification of products, strengthening the modal through loan and coordinating with the government to get assistance in strengthening the cooperation and breeder.  The AHP results shows that the strategic priority is 1) the strengthening of the modal through financial institution, 2) increasing the promotion activities by socializing the importance of drinking milk, 3) product diversification and 4) conducting coordination with the local government and animal husbandry department and UMKM department  Keywords: cooperation breeder pure lines, development strategy, IFE, EFE, SWOT       AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi kondisi lingkungan internal dan eksternal Koperasi Peternak Galur Murni, menganalisis alternatif strategi yang dapat diterapkan dalam pengembangan Koperasi Peternak Galur Murni, dan menentukan prioritas strategi pengembangan Koperasi Peternak Galur Murni di masa datang. Metode analisis data yang digunakan meliputi analisis deskriptif,  analisis Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE), External Factor Evaluation (EFE), analisis matrik Internal-External (IE), Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities dan Threats (SWOT) dan Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor strategik yang menjadi kekuatan utama dengan kepentingan relatif tertinggi adalah sistem Quality Control (QC) untuk peneriman susu dari peternak. Alternatif strategi yang dapat diterapkan di KPGM adalah peningkatan kegiatan promosi dengan sosialisasi pentingnya minum susu, efisiensi kegiatan produksi dengan penyusunan Standard Operational Procedure (SOP), penguatan kelembagaan koperasi, melakukan pendaftaran produk ke Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM), melakukan komunikasi intensif dengan semua anggota koperasi, pemanfaatan teknologi tepat guna dalam kegiatan produksi, diversifikasi produk, penguatan permodalan melalui pinjaman selain lembaga keuangan dan melakukan koordinasi dengan pemerintah daerah untuk bantuan penguatan koperasi dan peternak. Hasil analisis AHP, strategi prioritasnya adalah 1) penguatan modal melalui lembaga keuangan, 2) peningkatan kegiatan promosi dengan sosialisasi pentingnya minum susu, 3) diversifikasi produk, dan 4) melakukan koordinasi dengan Pemerintah Daerah serta Dinas Peternakan dan Dinas UMKM.Kata kunci: koperasi peternak galur murni, strategi pengembangan, IFE, IFE, SWOT

Abstract

The high levels of motivation, compensation, organizational culture, and competence of educational personnel greatly affect their performance. As the motivation, compensation, organizational culture and competence of the educational personnel of Faculty of Animal Science Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) in achieving the performance has still not been optimal, this research aimed to analyze the factors affecting the performance of the educational personnel in the Faculty of Animal Science Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), both directly and indirectly i.e. to analyze the effect of compensation on motivation, to analyze the effect of compensation on organizational culture, in which motivation serves as intervening variable, to analyze the effect of compensation on competence, in which organizational culture serves as the intervening variable, and to analyze the effect of motivation on competence. The variables include motivation, compensation, organizational culture, and competence of the academic personnel. The data collection technique was conducted by doing interviews and distributing questionnaires using the Likert scale. The reliability on the data obtained, descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis were utilized. Based on the research results, it is revealed that the compensation variable has a significant effect on the motivation, while the compensation has no significant effects on the organizational culture in which the motivation serves as intervening variable. Thus, compensation has no significant effects on the competence in which the organizational culture serves as intervening variable, and motivation also has no significant effect on the competence.Keywords: motivation, compensation, organization culture and competence, PLSAbstrak: Tinggi rendahnya motivasi, kompensasi, budaya organisasi dan kompetensi tenaga kependidikan sangat memengaruhi kinerja. Penelitian dilakukan karena motivasi, kompensasi, budaya organisasi serta kompetensi tenaga kependidikan Fakultas peternakan Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) dalam pencapaian kinerja masih belum optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kinerja tenaga kependidikan di Fakultas Peternakan IPB baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung, yaitu menganalisis pengaruh kompensasi terhadap motivasi, menganalisis pengaruh kompensasi terhadap budaya organisasi, dimana motivasi sebagai peubah intervening, menganalisis pengaruh kompensasi terhadap kompetensi dimana budaya organisasi sebagai peubah intervening, menganalisi pengaruh motivasi terhadap kompetensi. Peubahnya adalah motivasi, kompensasi, budaya organisasi dan kompetensi Tendik. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dengan interview serta kuesioner menggunakan skala Likert. Peneliti menggunakan reabilitas terhadap data yang diperoleh dan selanjutnya menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis Struktural Equation Model (SEM). Dari hasil penelitian diketahui peubah kompensasi berpengaruh nyata terhadap motivasi, kompensasi terhadap budaya organisasi dimana motivasi sebagai intervening tidak berpengaruh nyata, kompensasi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kompetensi dimana budaya ornagisasi sebagai intervening dan motivasi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kompetensi. Abstract

The symptoms caused by the existence of industry 4.0 indirectly encourage or force the organization to prioritize human resource management (Human Resource Management) so that it can last a long time and develop more advanced. This research was conducted to build a design model of competency-based human resource management across generations of the industrial era 4.0 using a soft system method. Generational differences that have been considered problems, are seen differently when the differences in the characteristics of the three generations (baby boomers, X and Y) are used as opportunities and complementary strengths in the challenges of the industrial world 4.0. In the current competency-based human resource management there are some gaps. The competency-based human resource management model across generations of 4.0 provides strategic steps taken in managing human resources. Abstract

Recently, halal industries have shown impressive growth in global and national market levels. The purpose of this research is designing the managing and administering institution of halal certification (LPPOM MUI) in order to maintain its functions and roles in the new era of regulations (UUJPH) and the growing of halal ecosystem in industrial digital era 4.0. Soft System Methodology (SSM) is used as the methodology. SSM is an organization process modeling that can be used to solve unstructure general problem and management changing. Rich Picture, Root Definition, and Conceptual Model are presented in this paper. Data was collected by using Focus Group Discussions, involved in the process and in-depth interviews with the Government, MUI, LPPOM MUI, business player, and the public community of halal. The focus of this research is getting knowledge of people, their behaviours, their relationships and their influence to LPPOM MUI transformation and the development of corporate and operational strategies. Based on the analysis, there are eight main results as a key strategy of institution transformation, as follows :(i)identification of people, (ii) institution form, (iii) vision, mission, culture, and values evaluation, (iv) operational evaluation based on resource-based view, (v) legal entity transformation, (vi) managerial improvement, (vii) measurement of marketing and financial performance, and (viii) risk mitigation.
