Abstract

This development research aims to produce a valid, practical, and effective Instagram-assisted Discovery Learning-Based Acid Base E-module. The model used is the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages, namely the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instrument used for validity test was E- module validation sheet, the practicality test employed teacher and students’ response questionnaire sheet, and the effectiveness test employed learning motivation questionnaire. The sources of validity data were two validators: the practicality used two chemistry teachers and students of grade XI MIPA 2 at SMA Frater Makassar with 32 people. The same method was also used to measure the effectiveness. E-module is declared to be valid based on validation results with a value of 3.87 (very accurate). E-module has met the criteria of practicality because the practicality test is related to (1) a positive teacher’s response questionnaire by 88.39% (very practical) and (2) a positive students’ responses 85.36% (very practical). E-module is stated to be effective based on the results of the learning motivation questionnaire obtained a change in the percentage of learning from 66.38% to 84% and an increase in learning motivation obtained by N-Gain, which is 0.58 (moderate category). Therefore, the results indicate that the Instagram-assisted Discovery Learning-based Acid-Base E-module has valid, practical, and effective qualities.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the process of developing e-LKPD based on the discovery learning model on acid and base materials to improve learning outcomes. (2) determine the level of validity, practicality and effectiveness of e-LKPD based on discovery learning models on acid and base materials to improve learning outcomes. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). This development research procedure follows the ADDIE model which consists of 5 phases, namely: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed that the level of validity of the e-LKPD based on the discovery learning model on the average acid and base material was stated to be very valid and feasible to use. This is based on the results of validation by expert validators with a general validation value of 3.50 or a very valid category. The practicality of the e-LKPD media with the discovery learning model is stated to be practical with a presentation of around 70% - 100%. The e-LKPD media with the discovery learning model is very effective to use. Completeness or achievement of the pretest KKM or those who scored 75 and above were 5 people (13.89%) and increased to 36 student (100%). The developed e-LKPD media contains, (1) title cover, (2) KD and Learning Indicators, (3) brief material, (4) stimulus video, (5) problem formulation column, (6) observation column, (7 ) conclusion column.

Abstract

The study is Research and Development (R&D), which aims at designing Chemistry learning device SMA (senior high school) based on problem to improve conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills of students on Thermochemistry material and discovering whether the quality of Chemistry learning device product has met validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The development model used in this study referred to 4-D development model by Thiagarajan which covered 4 stages, namely (1) define, (2) design, (3) development, and (4) dissemination. The device developed in this study: Lesson Plan (RPP), Student’s Workbook (LKPD), and Learning Test (THB). The result of the study reveal that each stage of the result of development referred to the procedure of learning device development model based on problem. The device developed has met the product quality, namely 1) device validity with the mean score 3.68 in very valid category, 2) the practically which covered: a) learning device implementation with the mean score 1.77 in ‘entirely implemented’, b) learning management of teacher with the mean score 3.68 in good category, c) teacher’s response on the device was 3.75 in practical category and with no revision, and 3) the effectiveness covered: a) the student’s learning activity was 91.1% which met very good criteria, b) the student’s response was 80% which met very responsive criteria, c) conceptual understanding test with the mean score of pretest 18.6% in very low category, the mean score of posttest 87.5% in high category, and the result of N-gain 0.8 in high category, d) critical thinking skills with the mean score of pretest 18.3% in very low category, the posttest was 77.9% in high category, and the result of N-gain 0.73 in high category.

Abstract

The use of the right tools greatly determines the success of achieving the competence of students in learning. Learning tools that tend to be monotonous make students less actively involved in learning and less improve scientific attitudes and learning outcomes. The development of Chemistry learning tools based on a scientific approach in NHT model is expected to be effective in the classroom and help students in learning Chemistry. This development research aims to: 1) describe the development process of producing cooperative learning tools of NHT type based on a scientific approach; and 2) produce cooperative learning tools of NHT type based on scientific approaches that are valid, practical, and effective to improve scientific attitudes and learning outcomes on Acid-Base learning material. This research consists of the stages of defining (define), design, development, and dissemination (disseminate). The product developed was tested on students of class XI MIPA.3 at SMAN 8 Gowa of academic year 2019/2020. The product validity was tested by two expert assessors. This research includes the steps of the NHT model, namely preparation, group formation, problem discussion, calling the Member Number or Giving Answers, giving conclusions, and giving awards. The stages of this chemistry learning tool also refer to the scientific attitude approach that applies 5M, namely observing, asking, trying, associating/processing information/logic,and communicating to improve scientific attitudes and learning outcomes of students. The results of the study obtained: 1) the average value of product validity 3.76 (very valid); 2) scientific attitude questionnaire data = 3.07 (high); 3) THB's average N-Gain result is 0.83 (high); 4) teachers and students showed a very positive response with a percentage of 95.84% and 82.81%. Therefore, the conclusion of the study is the Chemistry learning tools based on the scientific approach in NHT model that had been developed in Chemistry learning on Acid-Base learning materials are valid, practical, and effective to improve the scientific attitude and learning outcomes of students.

Abstract

Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagaimana gambaran deskriptif sikap peserta didik pada mata pelajaran kimia, konsep diri, kesadaran metakognitif, dan hasil belajar kimia peserta didik kelas XI Mia SMAN di Kecamatan Ujung Bulu Kabupaten Bulukumba, apakah ada pengaruh sikap, konsep diri, dan kesadaran metakognitif, secara bersama-sama terhadap hasil belajar kimia peserta didik kelas, apakah ada pengaruh sikap terhadap hasil belajar kimia, apakah ada pengaruh konsep diri terhadap hasil belajar kimia, apakah ada pengaruh kesadaran metakognitif terhadap hasil belajar kimia, apakah ada interaksi sikap peserta didik pada mata pelajaran kimia dan konsep diri dalam mempengaruhi hasil belajar kimia, apakah ada interaksi konsep diri dan kesadaran metakognitif dalam mempengaruhi hasil belajar kimia peserta didik, apakah ada interaksi sikap peserta didik pada mata pelajaran kimia dan kesadaran metakognitif dalam mempengaruhi hasil belajar kimia peserta didik. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini sejalan dengan rumusan masalah Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran angket dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Hasil analisis menunjukkan p – value < 0,05 yang artinya model layak digunakan. Model yang digunakan adalah Y = - 75,003 + 0,171 X1 + 0,611 X­2 + 0,508 X3 + 0,000 X1X2 + 0,000 X1X3 – 0,003 X2X3 . Sikap siswa, konsep diri, dan kesadaran metakognitif siswa berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap hasil belajar kimia baik secara teoritis maupun secara empirik. Hasil uji parsial menunjukkan bahwa hasil interaksi antar variabel independent tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar kimia siswa, sehingga model terbaik yang dapat digunakan untuk menaksir hasil belajar kimia adalah model tanpa interaksi, yaitu: Y = - 32,875 + 0,113X1 + 0,217X2 + 0,200X3. Kata Kunci: Sikap Siswa, Konsep Diri, Kesadaran metakognitif, Hasil Belajar.

Abstract

The study is a development research aims 1) to find discovery learning-based junior high school science learning tools to increase students' motivation and learning outcomes, 2) to analyze the validity, practicality and effectiveness of discovery learning based junior high school science learning tools to increase students' motivation and learning outcomes. The development model used in this study refers to the 4D development model, which consists of several stages, namely defining, designing, development, and dissemination. The learning devices developed had been conducted through the validation stage by the validator and through trials, and had been revised by the developers to produce learning devices which are valid, practical, and effective. The results of the study reveal that (1) the expert’s validation of RPP is 3.30 with valid criteria, (2) the expert’s validation of BAPD is 3.24 with valid criteria, (3) the expert’s validation of LKPD is 3.51 with very valid criteria, and (4) the expert’s validation of THB is 3.35 with valid criteria. The learning devices are stated to be practical because the learning devices implementation is in fully implemented category with an average value of 3.58. The teacher’s response and students’ responses are in very positive category with 87.50% and 87.50%, respectively. The learning devices also meet the effectiveness value with the results of increasing the score of learning motivation from 69.04% to 82.04% and the learning outcomes meet effective criteria with a class completeness percentage of 85%.

Abstract

This study is a development research that aims to produce a STEM-based Chemical Bonds SSP devices. The development model used in this study refers to the 4D development model by Thiagarajan, et al, which consists of the definition stage, design stage, development stage, and dissemination stage. The learning device developed are lesson plan, students’ learning materials, LKPD, and THB. The systematic preparation of each component of the SSP device is in accordance with the standard process in Permendikbud Number 22 of 2016. The learning scenario adopts the Problem Based Learning (PBL) syntax on Chemical Bonds materials. The trial of the SSP device was conductedt UPT SMKN 2 Barru with a total of 35 students. The result of expert validation shows that the developed SSP devices are in very valid category with an average value of 3.50. The developed SSP devices meet the very practical criteria with an average value of 90.44. The increase in learning outcomes as evidenced by class completeness which reached 85.71% indicates that these SSP devices are in effective category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the developed STEM-based SSP device products are valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This study is development research, which aims at developing and produce IPA learning tools for SMP based on discovery learning in acidic solution, base and salt. The development model used in research to develop discovery learning based learning tools is the 4-D model by Thiagarajan. The limited test of discovery learning-based learning devices was conducted at SMPN 36 Makassar. The research subject was grade VII IPA with 24 students. Data collection techniques are non-test techniques and test techniques. The results of the study reval that (1) the process of learbing tools development utilizes 4-D model consists of 4 stages, namely (a) defining stage (define), (b) the designing stage (design), (c) the development stage (develop), and (d) the dissemination stage (desseminate). (2) the learning tools are valid, practical and effective. The learning tools are stated as practicial because the learning tools implementation is in entirely implemented category, the teacher’s response on learning tools is in very positive category. The learning tools are effective because it has met effectiveness criteria with the teacher's result in learning management is in very high category, the student’s activity is in learning management is in very good category, the student’s activity is in learning management is in very positive category, the results of students’ critical thinking skills has the average of 85.17 with classical completencess 85.95%, the improvment of critical thinking skills based on the N-gain test of 0.82 with high criteria, the learning outcomes has the average of 84.07 with a classical completeness 85.33%, whereas, the improvement in learning outcomes based on the N-gain test is 0.86 with high criteria.

Abstract

This study is a development research that aims to develop problem-based e-LKPD on acid and base solutions which is valid, practical, and effective to be used to improve learning outcomes. The development model used in this study referred to the 4-D development model, which consisted of the defining stage, the design stage, the development stage, and the dissemination stage. The one developed was a problem-based electronic student’s worksheet (LKPD). The problem-based e-LKPD developed was then validated by two experts. After validation, a trial was conducted at SMKN 9 Jeneponto in grade X TKJ with a total of 22 students. The results show that the resulting e-LKPD is valid with an average validity value of 3.40 with valid criteria. The practicality test includes: (1) analysis of the teacher's response, the teacher gave a very positive response with an average value of 3.75 which means it is practical and not revised, (2) analysis of students’ responses, students gave a positive response with a percentage of 81.80 very responsive. This problem-based E-LKPD also meets the effectiveness criteria with learning outcomes meeting the effective criteria where the N-Gain of 0.64 increases in learning outcomes which is in moderate category, the percentage of completeness is 81.82% which is in good category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media animasi dalam  model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan aktivitas belajar peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 21 Makassar pada materi kesetimbangan kimia. Desain penelitian Post test-Only Control Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 21 Makassar yang terdiri dari 8 kelas. Penentuan sampel dilakukan secara random sampling dan kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan memberikan tes keterampilan berpikir kritis sebanyak 15 soal uraian yang terbagi menjadi 3 kode soal yang telah divalidasi. Teknik analisis data yaitu deskripsi dan pengujian hipotesis terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan aktivitas belajar peserta didik. Hasil penelitian diperoleh deskripsi rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis dan standar deviasi untuk kelompok eksperimen adalah 81,35%, dan 7,78. Sedangkan rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis dan standar deviasi untuk kelompok kontrol adalah 70,53% dan 7,27. Hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan uji-t pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05 diperoleh nilai thitung = 180,33 dan nilai ttabel =1,67. Dengan membandingkan nilai thitung 180,33 > ttabel 1,668 artinya H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media animasi dalam model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan aktivitas belajar peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 21 Makassar. Kata kunci:      Inkuiri terbimbing, keterampilan berpikir kritis, aktivitas belajar dan kesetimbangan kimia
