Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk membantu proses pembelajaran, agar model pembelajaran yang dipakai tidak monoton, sehingga siswa tidak merasa bosan saat belajar, maka dari itu peneliti menggunakan model pembelajaran Blended Learning. Model Blended Learning yang akan dilaksanakan adalah pembelajaran yang berasis online dan offline serta akan dikombinasikan tiga metode pembelajaran, yaitu: project based learning, diskusi, dan eksperimen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas Blended Learning untuk memperbaiki minat belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri Satap 2 Bolano Lambunu. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain one shot case. Penelitian ini melibatkan satu kelas saja yaitu kelas VIII yang terdiri dari 23 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian skala minat belajar siswa melalui angket minat belajar siswa yang sudah diisi sebelum dan sesudah diajarkan menggunakan blended learning. Setelah data diperoleh dari hasil penelitian maka data tersebut dianalisis dengan 2 cara, yaitu dengan teknik analisis deskriptif dan uji prasyarat. Hasil analisis data yang diperoleh sebelum diajarkan menggunakan Blended Learning nilai rata-ratanya 57,17 dan sesudah diajarkan menggunakan Blended Learning nilai rata-ratanya 84,78. Hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh dari hasil uji-t yaitu thitung 16,94 > ttabel 2,074 dengan taraf signifikansi (α) = 0,05, maka Hα diterima, sehingga pada hasil tersebut menunjukkan adanya perbedaan minat belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah diajarkan menggunakan Blended Learning.

Abstract

Pendidikan dalam pelaksanaannya memerlukan proses yang berkesinambungan dalam setiap jenis dan jenjang pendidikan yang berkaitan dalam suatu sistem pendidikan yang integral. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeksripsikan persepsi guru biologi tentang Kurikulum Sekolah Penggerak (KSP) di SMA Negeri 4 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru biologi SMA Negeri 4 Palu sebanyak 5 orang dan wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi guru biologi pada indikator penyerapan terhadap rangsangan atau objek dari luar individu memiliki skor aktual (X) > 43,99, indikator pengertian atau pemahaman memiliki skor aktual (X) > 31,99, dan indikator penilaian dan evaluasi memilki skor aktual (X) > 43,99. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat dinyatakan bahwa persepsi guru biologi tentang KSP di SMA Negeri 4 Palu berada pada kategori sangat positif.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu Untuk menentukan kelimpahan jenis lumut epifit (bryophyta), di Kawasan Air Terjun Parapa Taman Nasional Lore Lindu Desa Tongoa Kecamatan Palolo Kabupaten Sigi dan membuat media pembelajaran dalam bentuk buku saku yang layak digunakan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey Teknik pengambilan sample menggunakan plot sampling dengan ukuran 20 x 20 m dengan 8 plot sampling dilakukan dengan cara purposive atau penempatan plot sampling secara sengaja yang dianggap dapat mewakili lokasi penelitian. Pertimbangan penentuan lokasi pengambilan sampel berdasarkan pada tempat tumbuh lumut epifit yang ada dilokasi penelitian. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan di Kawasan Air Terjun Parapa Taman Nasional Lore Lindu Desa Tongoa Kecamatan Palolo Kabupaten Sigi didapatkan 13 jenis spesies tumbuhan lumut epifit (Bryophyta) terdiri dari delapan ordo yaitu Machantiales, Pottiales, Notothyladales, Bryales, Fissidentales, Hypnales, Leucodontales dan Hedwigiales.. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran berupa buku saku setelah melalui validasi oleh 3 tim ahli/dosen dan 20 siswa penguji didapatkan nilai rata-rata persentasi 82,5% atau dikategorikan layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa kelas VIII pada mata pelajaran IPA biologi di SMP Negeri 19 Palu. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode Deskriptif, yaitu metode yang menggambarkan keadaan ditempat pengamatan serta dideskripsikan, secara faktual, dimana data-data yang diambil adalah data yang diperoleh dari fakta-fakta sampel yang diteliti. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 19 Palu pada tahun ajaran baru 2021/2022. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket faktor-faktor kesulitan belajar. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada faktor internal yaitu faktor fisik dengan persentase 62,16% dan faktor psikologi dengan persentase 29,72%, Dengan keseluruhan persentase tersebut, maka didapatkan untuk faktor internal persentasenya adalah 38%. Sementara pada faktor eksternal yaitu faktor keluarga dengan persentase 27,92%, faktor sekolah 33,47% dan faktor lingkungan 24,32%. Dengan keseluruhan persentase tersebut, maka didapatkan untuk faktor eksternal persentasenya adalah 32%. Berdasarkan data kesulitan belajar biologi secara umum, diperoleh siswa yang mengalami kesulitan belajar dengan persentase 35%.

Abstract

PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) is an international assessment designed to measure students' literacy abilities in various disciplines, including science. This research aims to analyze the scientific literacy abilities of students at MTS Nurul Huda Situbondo in solving PISA Science questions. The research method used is data analysis from the results of the PISA Science test given to students. The data described includes test results based on problem-solving and reasoning assessment rubrics. The research results show that most students need help solving these questions, such as understanding questions well, misinterpreting images, applying scientific knowledge, and relating them to real life. The results of the analysis also show that there is significant variation in abilities among students. The results of the Kruskal Wallis-H test show a p-value <0.05, which means there is a substantial difference between the 3 dependent variables. Some students demonstrate scientific literacy in analyzing and solving PISA science questions, while others still need further assistance. The research results will provide insight into the challenges in solving PISA Science questions by students and improving science education at MTS Nurul Huda Situbondo. Understanding and overcoming these obstacles can prepare students to compete globally, especially in science.

Abstract

Students' ability to identify problems in the PBL syntax is still weak, which affects their critical thinking and communication skills. This has become an issue that requires a solution. This study aims to develop a PBLRQA teaching module to improve senior high school students’ critical thinking and scientific communication skills. The type of research used is R&D (Research and Development) with a 4D development model. The research subjects were 30 tenth-grade students from class X9. The instruments used included validation sheets, essay questions to assess critical thinking skills, and observation sheets to assess communication skills. Data analysis was conducted using percentage formulas and the N-gain test. The results showed a significant difference in the average scores of students’ critical thinking skills before and after the treatment. The average pretest score was 11.3, and after the treatment using the PBLRQA teaching module, the average posttest score increased to 85.16. The N-gain score was 0.83, categorized as high, indicating that the PBLRQA teaching module was effective. The conclusion of this study is that the PBLRQA teaching module has been proven effective in improving students’ critical thinking and scientific communication skills. The implication of this research is that the developed PBLRQA teaching module can be used as a learning tool in biology classes, particularly for the topic of viruses.

Abstract

Abstract: Critical thinking is one of the 4C competencies that is important for students to master to support their success in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the project based learning (PjBL) model on students' critical thinking skills. The method used is purposive sampling. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design (pre-test and post-test). The average results of the two samples are known through the independent sample t-test. The difference in critical thinking skills scores between the control class and the experimental class will be known through a parametric independent sample t-test with a sig value. > 0.05 which means homogeneous. If tcount > table resulting from the right-sided t-test then it can be said that HO is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning the learning model used in the experimental class has a significant influence. In the research that has been carried out, it is known that the project based learning (PjBL) model has a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills, which is known through the difference in the average scores of the control class and the experimental class. Keywords: critical thinking skills, learning model, PjBL model. Abstrak: Berpikir kritis menjadi salah satu kompetensi 4C yang penting untuk dikuasai peserta didik agar menunjang keberhasilannya dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran project based learning (PjBL) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design (pre-test dan post-test). Hasil rata-rata kedua sampel diketahui melalui independet sample t-test. Perbedaan skor keterampilan berpikir kritis antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen akan diketahui melalui uji parametrik independent sample t-test dengan nilai sig. > 0,05 yang berarti homogen. Jika thitung > tabel yang dihasilkan dari uji t-pihak kanan maka dapat dikatakan bahwa HO ditolak dan Ha diterima berarti model pembelajaran yang digunakan di kelas eksperimen memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan. Pada penelitian yang sudah dilakukan diketahui bahwa model pembelajaran project based learning (PjBL) berpengaruh dengan signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang diketahui melalui perbedaan rata-rata nilai kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen.  Kata kunci: model pembelajaran, model PjBL, keterampilan berpikir kritis. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i4.pp859-866

Abstract

Science education in junior high school plays a crucial role in developing students' scientific thinking, particularly in understanding global issues like global warming. This study aims to assess the scientific thinking abilities of seventh-grade students at three state junior high schools in Palu City, using a descriptive approach and a test based on seven aspects of scientific thinking as defined by García-Carmona (2023). The findings reveal that approximately 80% of students showed progress in scientific thinking, with 12% achieving a competent level and 8% remaining in the beginner category. However, their understanding of scientific information from discourse and graphics averaged only 26%. Overall, students demonstrated developing scientific thinking skills, which could enhance their comprehension of scientific concepts, especially related to everyday experiences and environmental issues shared on social media. The role of teachers is essential in guiding students to understand and critically evaluate scientific information, such as articles on global warming. The study recommends developing interactive, problem-based teaching strategies to further improve students' scientific thinking skills. Future research should explore the role of media technology, teachers, and parents in supporting the development of scientific thinking regarding natural phenomena to advance science education in Palu and its surrounding areas.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning learning model on critical thinking skills and creativity in biology subjects at SMA Negeri 4 Palu. This type of research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental type. The population in this study was 400 people and the sample in this study was 70 people. Sampling was done by purposive sampling, and the research sample was 2 classes consisting of class XC and XJ. The data collection technique in this study was using a test in the form of a Post-test and observation sheet. Data analysis used prerequisite tests, namely, normality tests and homogeneity tests and hypothesis testing using independent sample-t tests. The results of the study indicate that (1) students' critical thinking skills had a significant average score in class XJ as the experimental class, namely 85.66, and class XD as the control class, namely 77.14. (2) The results of observing students' creativity in the experimental class yielded a score of 84.66, with 80-100% falling into the “very creative” category, while the control class scored 76.14, with 61-80% falling into the “creative” category. (3) The Project-Based Learning (PBL) model has a significant impact on critical thinking skills and creativity in biology lessons at SMA Negeri 4 Palu. This is evidenced by the t-test results, which show a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the STEM-based project-based learning (PjBL) model on students' creative thinking skills and learning motivation in biology at SMA Negeri 4 Palu. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, the population in this study were all grade X students of SMA Negeri 4 Palu in the 2024/2025 academic year consisting of 12 study groups with a total of 400 students. The sample was determined through purposive sampling, consisting of an experimental class (n=33) receiving PjBL-STEM learning and a control class (n=33) with conventional learning. Data were collected through creative thinking skills tests and learning motivation observation sheets, then analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent samples t-tests. The results showed that the PjBL-STEM model had a significant effect on improving creative thinking skills (Sig. = 0.023 <0.05) and learning motivation (Sig. = 0.000 <0.05). This finding confirms that the integration of the STEM approach in PjBL not only strengthens the cognitive but also the affective aspects, so that it can be used as a strategic alternative in developing a biology curriculum to foster 21st-century competencies.
