Abstract

The problem of village fund management in 2015 and until 2018, the budget of village funds from the central government to South Sulawesi has reached a total of Rp.5.7 trillion spread over 2,255 villages. With that much budget, it should be a trigger for the performance of village officials to increase development as mandated by Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages (Village Law. But in its development, the abundant village funds were prone to be misused. Based on ICW monitoring since from 2015 to 2018, cases of corruption in village funds have increased from year to year and there have been at least 181 cases of corruption in village funds with 184 suspects of corruption and a loss of Rp. 40.6 billion. Increasing abuse of village funds has also occurred in South Sulawesi, namely 22 cases have been recorded with state losses of 3.4 billion, so it is deemed necessary to take efforts through preemptive and preventive patterns so that misuse of village funds is not repeated in various regions, particularly in Baji Mangngai Village, Mandai District, Maros Regency. we make a legal study, as it is believed that jurisprudence ha dir in an effort to provide legal problem solving.

Abstract

The aim of  research is to study the physical conditions at the small pelagic fishing locations relation with the ideal criteria for small pelagic fish habitat. In this research, physical parameters consist of temperature and chlorophyll-a will be analyzed according to conditions at the actual small pelagic fishing location in FMA 715 throughout 2018. The actual small pelagic fishing location is obtained from the fishing logbook data which is validated with the Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) data using Kernel Density Interpolation. Sea surface temperature (SST) and chlorophyll-a information at small pelagic fishing locations are extracted through MODIS Imagery. Small pelagic fish species at the fishing location are caught for Shortfin Scad, Trevally, Yellowstrip Scad, and Shadow Trevally. The results showed that the surface temperature at the small pelagic fishing location in FMA 715 is 21.56 - 31.75 oC and chlorophyll-a concentration is 0.08 - 1.33 mg/m3. It can be concluded that the physical conditions at the small pelagic fishing location are not always in accordance with the ideal habitat conditions. The conditions of sea surface temperature and chlorophyll-a that are close to the ideal conditions for small pelagic fish habitat are in the East Season.

Abstract

ABSTRACTStudents' interest in reading at school, especially in elementary school, is still lacking, but the ability to read is really needed to for education and careers to a higher level. The literacy movement has actually been implemented at various levels of education to increase reading comprehension, but it is not enough to improve the reading interest among students. So teachers must have special strategies to increase their students' interest in reading. One strategy that teachers can use to increase students' reading comprehension is reading aloud. This community service activity plan is designed for one year with partners, namely SDN Jangari. The topic was Read Aloud training as a strategy to increase the competency of elementary school teachers in the target village, namely SDN Jangari. This community service activities were conducted via Read Aloud training and competitions for Jangari Elementary School teachers. The PKM team consisting of lecturers and postgraduate students from the Applied Linguistics Doctoral Program will collaborate with partners, namely SDN Jangari.

Abstract

Volcanoes are geological phenomena that can cause significant disasters to human life and the environment, such as eruptions, pyroclastic flows, and lahars. Therefore, early warning systems for volcanoes are crucial to reduce disaster risks and provide sufficient time for evacuation. Monitoring surface temperature and the surrounding air around volcanoes is one of the key parameters in detecting volcanic activity. Temperature increases often serve as an early indication of magmatic activity beneath the surface. This study proposes an early warning system for volcanoes based on temperature sensors integrated with fuzzy logic to monitor volcanic activity in real-time. The system consists of a wireless temperature sensor network based on the Internet of Things (IoT) connected to an IoT platform for data monitoring and analysis. The SHT31D, SHT2X, BME280 and DHT11 sensors are used to measure the ambient temperature, and the temperature data is processed using fuzzy logic methods to detect changes in volcanic activity. The system was tested in both simulation and field environments using sensor node devices consisting of several temperature sensors controlled by a microcontroller. The fuzzy logic algorithm built using 256 rules is able to classify new data from sensor nodes into one of the categories of volcano vulnerability levels, namely “Normal”, “Caution”, “Warning”, or “Evacuate”. This system has the potential to serve as a real-time temperature monitoring tool for volcanoes, supporting disaster mitigation and volcanic activity risk management.

Abstract

Mangroves are a type of vegetation that can absorb carbon and have an essential role in controlling CO2 levels in the atmosphere. Mangroves can absorb carbon better than terrestrial ecosystems because of their ability to bury carbon in sediment. This research aims to compare and measure the carbon stock content above the surface of mangroves in the field using multi-spatial resolution imagery, namely, Landsat 8 OLI, Sentinel 2A, and Planetscope. Field carbon calculations were carried out using the allometric method based on mangrove species. The calculation results are then linked through regression analysis with the vegetation index Difference Vegetation Index (DVI) results. The total carbon obtained from PlanetScope imagery was 535.27 tons, Sentinel 2A imagery was 549.23 tons, and Landsat 8 OLI imagery was 533.57 tons. Among the three images used, based on Sentinel 2A statistical analysis reflects the possibility of overfitting or the best with higher r and R2 values in the calculations. However, based on SE accuracy tests, PlanetScope has better accuracy than the other two images. Apart from that, the accuracy test results using a 1:1 goodness of fit plot for each image, the distribution pattern of mangrove carbon stock estimates shows that the entire model in mapping mangrove carbon stocks is over-estimated. The overestimated results are possible because more objects around the mangrove, especially canopy density, are recorded by remote sensing sensors compared to tree diameter as input for field carbon results.

Abstract

The research objective is to analyse the implementation of Law No. 12/2022 concerning Criminal Acts of Sexual Violence in the Maros Police Resort. This study is a study with a juridical-empirical approach. The results of the study indicate that: 1) The PPA Unit of the Maros Police Criminal Investigation Unit has implemented Law No. 12/2022 concerning Criminal Acts of Sexual Violence from the end of 2023 until now, but this TPKS Law is only applied to Adult Female Victims, for Child Victims still using the Child Protection Law, and 2) Legal evidence for adult women who are victims of criminal acts of sexual violence in the Maros Police Resort, there are still some that are not running optimally. This is due to the lack of evidence obtained and the victims who are not cooperative when questioned by Police Investigators, so investigators have difficulty in proving the case.
