Abstract

Abstract

The transition to parenthood is a multidimensional challenge that often causes emotional and practical stress for new parents, particularly in understanding proper infant care. This study aims to address these issues by developing a 2D animated educational video titled "Being a New Parent". The video serves as an engaging visual medium to educate young couples about essential baby care practices, including hygiene, feeding, diaper changing, bonding, and sleep management. The animation was developed using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, consisting of six stages: concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. Production involved professional software including Adobe Illustrator for asset design, Adobe After Effects for animation, and Adobe Premiere Pro for final editing and audio integration. The final product is a 2-minute and 8-second video distributed via YouTube. Evaluation through interviews with new parents revealed that the animation effectively increased understanding of parenting basics, though suggestions for more detailed and context-sensitive content were noted. The results demonstrate that 2D animation is a powerful tool for digital parenting education, capable of simplifying complex information into a relatable and accessible format for the millennial generation.

Abstract

Firm value is a ratio used to describe the value owned by a company. This ratio provides information related to management's effectiveness in managing the company. Firm value is one of the key pieces of information that influences managers and investors in making economic decisions. This study aimed to provide empirical proof concerning the influence of CSR disclosure, profitability, size, and leverage towards firm value. This study focuses on energy and consumer non-cyclical companies that are listed in IDX. A purposive sampling method was employed to retrieve the sample. 32 companies were selected over three consecutive years, from 2021 to 2023, resulting in a total of 96 data. Eviews 12 software program was utilized to process the data. The research utilized a multiple linear regression model for hypothesis testing. The appropriate estimation model for multiple linear regression was the Random Effect Model (REM). Findings indicated that CSR disclosure, size, and leverage did not significantly affect on firm value, whereas profitability exerted a substantial positive influence on firm value. This study expanded the understanding of factors that influence company value and helped managers take concrete steps to enhance firm value, such as focusing efforts on improving profitability. Additionally, it assisted investors in analyzing factors that affect company value, especially the company's profitability potential, to make informed investment decisions.

Abstract

Job evaluation is very important for the employee being assessed and the company. Job evaluation is a method to determine whether the employee has been in the appropriate position and salary. The Hay method is one method that can be used to evaluate current positions. Hay's method has been standardized and tested in various parts of the world. The Hay method requires information about the job structure, job description, and job specifications, which is then given a point to evaluate the position. The Hay method is applied to a company in the Sidoarjo-East Java, Indonesia, to determine what wages are appropriate for workers with the workload they receive while working in this company. The research was conducted at four levels: manager, head of the department, supervisor, and operator (37 positions). Based on data processing using the Hay method, the position that obtained the highest points was the plant manager position of 752 points with a salary range of Rp. 39,000,000 - Rp. 41,000,000, and the lowest points were cleaning raw material warehouses, machines, and silos with salary ranges. Rp. 3,000,000 – Rp. 5,000,000. The greater the responsibility and workload, the greater the points and salary earned.

Abstract

Developing telecommunications infrastructure is vital for national advancement, improving connectivity to accelerate information flow and access to public services. Effective base station planning prioritizes maximizing network coverage in densely populated areas. However, traditional visualization methods often fall short in identifying regions with the highest population density. This study addresses this gap by applying a sector expansion algorithm to select optimal base station locations within the most densely populated sectors, achieving more balanced network coverage. Using Indonesia's population data and administrative boundaries, optimal base station locations are determined with DBSCAN and K-Means clustering algorithms. The network's reach is then enhanced through sector expansion to increase coverage in areas with high population density by selecting new base station locations based on the densest sector around a primary station. The candidate station is positioned at a distance of three-quarters of twice the radius of the primary station, optimizing coverage while remaining close to existing network resources. The evaluation compares population coverage before and after sector expansion, assessing connectivity between base stations and distribution efficiency. Results show that sector expansion increased population coverage on Lombok Island from 15.94% to 99.14%, with the most populated base station covering up to 34,274 people, enhancing distribution efficiency.

Abstract

Malignant melanoma (MM) is a rare skin cancer that is increasing constantly. It accounts for the most cause of death of all skin cancer. High accuracy in MM staging is crucial to give exact information about the prognosis and facilitate the use of the most effective therapy available. The gold standard for skin cancer diagnosis is tissue biopsy, therefore precisely detecting the primary tumor site is crucial. It has high risk of dissemination to regional lymph nodes and visceral organs. Lymph node involvement and distant metastasis are the key prognostic value of MM. Nuclear medicine has been used to detect various primary and metastatic cancer including skin cancer. The aim of this literature review is to discuss about the role of nuclear medicine specifically positron emission tomography (PET), single-photon emission tomography (SPECT), and planar gamma imaging for the diagnosis of MM. We gather literature searches and books related using combined keywords such as “gamma camera”, “SPECT”, “PET”, “malignant melanoma”, “histopathology”. The data we use are limited to 10 years of this review article. Nuclear medicine technique, such as lymphoscintigraphy using gamma camera or SPECT/CT is recommended for early stage of MM, while PET/CT is recommended and have high sensitivity for advance stage of MM and evaluating disease recurrence. Utilising nuclear medicine to aid in acurate diagnostic of MM will give opportunity of a better outcome.
