Abstract

Kompetensi komunikasi yang dirasakan atau Self-Perceived Communication Competence (SPCC) merupakan satu cara yang umum untuk mengukur kompetensi komunikasi dalam dunia bisnis, namun hingga saat ini belum dilakukan dalam bidang pelayanan sosial. Padahal dengan mengetahui kompetensi komunikasi maka efektivitas pelayanan sosial dapat dicapai. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui SPCC Sarjana Pendamping Desa Sejahtera (SPDS) dan faktor-faktor determinan yang mempengaruhinya dalam pelayanan sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, kuesioner penilaian diri diberikan kepada 148 SPDS sebagai pekerja sosial di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Selatan, Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan, Indonesia. Pengolahan data menggunakan statistik deskriptif untuk menentukan tingkat kompetensi komunikasi dan aplikasi SEMPLS3 dengan embedded two stage approach - model second order factor untuk menentukan faktor determinan yang mmpengaruhinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan SPCC SPDS dalam pelayanan sosial berkategori Sangat Kompeten. SPCC SPDS dalam pelayanan sosial ditentukan ciri personal (jenis kelamin), faktor lingkungan (sosial budaya, dukungan organisasi, afiliasi keagamaan), motivasi, pengetahuan, dan kemampuan, yang diaplikasikan dalam perilaku komunikasi secara tepat sehingga mencapai efektivitas komunikasi dalam pelayanan sosial. Temuan penting penelitian ini secara umum memperkaya pandangan bahwa jenis kelamin, aspek sosial budaya, dukungan organisasi dan afiliasi keagamaan berkontribusi terhadap kompetensi komunikasi, khususnya pada bidang pelayanan sosial, yang belum ada peneliti yang melakukannya.

Abstract

Background Osteoporosis is a complication that often occurs in thalassemia major patients. This complication is still not widely known. This community service program aims to increase the knowledge of families of major thalassemia patients in Rembang Regency and Grobogan Regency regarding the complications of osteoporosis in thalassemia patients. Methods Education about osteoporosis, risk of osteoporosis in thalassemia patients, and prevention of osteoporosis. Extension method with presentation and discussion. The activity was attended by 20 thalassemia families in the Rembang Regency and 21 families of thalassemia patients in the Grobogan Regency. Before and after counseling, pretest and posttest questionnaires were completed to measure the knowledge of families of thalassemia major patients regarding bone complications in thalassemia patients. Results and Discussion Nearly half (46.34%) of respondents did not know the risk of osteoporosis in thalassemia. After counseling, 82.93% of respondents knew the risk of osteoporosis in thalassemia, but there were still 17.07% of respondents who still did not know this risk. Conclusion There is a significant increase in family knowledge of thalassemia major patients about the risk of osteoporosis in thalassemia. Further efforts to increase knowledge are needed with written information media (leaflets) given to families of thalassemia major patients

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh literasi digital terhadap kecerdasan emosional, hasil belajar, dan kewirausahaan digital pada siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) di Kota Depok. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan metode  penelitian deskriptif korelasional melibatkan 327 siswa kelas X dan XI dari empat SMK dengan tingkat akreditasi yang bervariasi. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner dan wawancara serta dianalisis menggunakan SEM-PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden memiliki literasi digital yang tinggi, yang secara signifikan memengaruhi kecerdasan emosional, capaian pembelajaran, dan kewirausahaan digital mereka. Karakteristik orang tua secara signifikan memengaruhi literasi digital siswa, sedangkan karakteristik siswa dan komunikasi keluarga tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan. Literasi digital meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional siswa dengan memfasilitasi akses ke informasi dan pengembangan keterampilan sosial. Selain itu, literasi digital berkontribusi positif terhadap capaian pembelajaran dan memotivasi kewirausahaan digital melalui pemanfaatan platform e-commerce. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya literasi digital dalam pendidikan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. This research aims to analyze the influence of digital literacy on emotional intelligence, learning outcomes and digital entrepreneurship in vocational high school (SMK) students in Depok City. The research used a quantitative approach, with descriptive correlational research methods involving 327 class X and XI students from four vocational schools with varying levels of accreditation. Data was obtained through questionnaires and interviews and analyzed using SEM-PLS. The research results show that the majority of respondents have high digital literacy, which significantly influences their emotional intelligence, learning outcomes and digital entrepreneurship. Parental characteristics significantly influence students' digital literacy, while student characteristics and family communication do not have a significant influence. Digital literacy increases students' emotional intelligence by facilitating access to information and the development of social skills. In addition, digital literacy contributes positively to learning outcomes and motivates digital entrepreneurship through the use of e-commerce platforms. These findings underline the importance of digital literacy in education to increase student competence in various aspects of life.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) in empowering the community through the development of ecotourism at Curup Kereta Waterfall. A qualitative approach was used, employing data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Pokdarwis plays a vital role in enhancing community capacity through tourism management, environmental conservation, and visitor services. The findings reveal that community involvement in Pokdarwis contributes to local economic growth by providing tourism services and local products. However, this empowerment faces challenges such as suboptimal coordination with the Tourism Office and limited infrastructure to support accessibility and visitor comfort. Furthermore, community participation in decision-making remains confined to implementation aspects. To ensure the sustainability of ecotourism, greater equitable community involvement and improved coordination between Pokdarwis, the government, and other stakeholders are required. These findings highlight the critical role of Pokdarwis as an empowerment agent, bridging the community with sustainable ecotourism opportunities and fostering inclusive and continuous prosperity.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation and impact of action-based learning in environmental education for elementary school students through ecotourism, using Organic Agro-Edu Tourism (AEWO) Mulyaharja in Bogor, Indonesia as a case study. Employing a qualitative research approach, data were collected through interviews, focus group discussions, observations, and document analysis involving students, teachers, local residents, and AEWO staff. The findings reveal that AEWO provides meaningful, hands-on learning experiences in organic agriculture, fostering emotional and cognitive connections to nature. Students gain not only agricultural knowledge but also develop greater empathy, responsibility, and appreciation for environmental sustainability. The integration of local farmers in the learning process enhances the authenticity and relevance of education, while the ecotourism setting enables place-based learning that extends beyond classroom boundaries. This research concludes that action-based learning within ecotourism frameworks significantly contributes to raising environmental awareness and shaping pro-environmental behavior among young learners.

Abstract

Digital transformation represents a crucial strategy for strengthening knowledge governance in community-based organizations, particularly Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). SECI Model Knowledge Management serves as an important framework for enhancing BUMDes governance capacity. This study analyzes the opportunities and challenges of digitalizing BUMDes knowledge systems using the SECI Model in Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province. The research methodology employed a descriptive qualitative case study approach focusing on BUMDes Mitra Perdana (Teluk Sasah Village) and BUMDes Hilir Sehati (Hilir Village). Data were collected through in-depth interviews with BUMDes officials and stakeholders, then analyzed using Nvivo 12 plus. Results indicate that digitalization opens opportunities for improving governance efficiency, financial transparency, and community empowerment. BUMDes Mitra Perdana demonstrates greater innovation with its Pertashop unit and rental business, while Hilir Sehati focuses on accommodation services and savings-loan programs. This research contributes to communication strategy of knowledge management literature by proposing community-based communication strategies in frontier, outermost, and border villages.

Abstract

Riau Province is one of the prone areas of forest and land fires in Indonesia. Fires in Riau have occurred since 1997 and peaked during the period of 2014 to 2015. Since that time, the government and other stakeholders had begun to change the paradigm of forest and land fire prevention, from preventing to handling. This study aims to analyze the communication process among stakeholders in preventing Karhutla (Forest and Land Fires) in Riau Province. The study was conducted by using qualitative methods through semi-structured interview toward 14 informants representing government communication roles, forestry and palm oil industries, researchers, NGOs, mass media, and The Fire Care Community (Masyarakat Peduli Api/MPA). The results of the study explain that all stakeholders have responses that fire intentionally caused by individuals and organized groups on open land, corporate land and community land. The planning and implementation of risk reduction are performed through various communication channels such as Karhutla Task Force, direct communication and media usage, especially WhatsApp, mass media and social media. In general, communication in expert modules is still dominated by government and minus researchers, while in public; the role of stakeholders is almost equal.

Abstract

Communication between adolescents and parents is an important part of the period of self-discovery. Bullying behavior that occurs in adolescents develops from an ongoing process of interaction in the family, school, and peer environment. Teens are especially vulnerable to engaging in bullying behavior. The communication environment of adolescents with parents, schools, and peers is an important factor in the occurrence of bullying behavior. Adolescents will imitate based on the results of observations encountered in family, school, and peers. Communication between adolescents and parents is important in minimizing bullying behavior. This research uses qualitative methods. Research location in Bogor. Data collection was conducted through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The study involved five informants consisting of two bullies and three victims of bullying. The research informants selected were young men and women in Bogor, aged 17-18 years, high school students, and equivalent school who had been victims and/or perpetrators of bullying. In the initial stage, researchers distributed an open-ended questionnaire according to the above criteria. This open questionnaire aims to reveal aspects of the adolescent communication environment in the family, school environment, and peers. The results showed that the communication environment in the family, school, and peers of adolescents plays an important role in the occurrence of bullying behavior. Bullying behavior in adolescents begins as a victim and then as a perpetrator or perpetrator becomes a victim. Bullying carried out by adolescent girls at school is verbal and social, while bullying carried out by adolescent boys at school is verbal and physical.

Abstract

Implementation of the social assistance policy program to determine social assistance recipients in the context of development communication involves stakeholder action in the sensemaking process as an effort to achieve a common understanding in determining who is worthy of receiving social assistance. Previous research stated that the problems that still occur today are weak communication and coordination between institutions, distribution of social assistance that does not match targets, unclear distribution mechanisms and data on social assistance recipients that are not in sync, lack of integration of one Indonesian data, misidentification, and neglect of groups. vulnerable, deceased social assistance recipients are still registered, identity of social assistance recipients is not registered in DTKS or SIKS-NG, problematic social assistance recipients are still registered, NIK is invalid, inactive social assistance recipients still receive assistance, multiple social assistance recipients. The aim of this research is to understand the sensemaking process used by stakeholders in determining potential social assistance recipients. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative using a constructivist paradigm and case study design. The research results show the important role of identity construction of local leaders, especially village heads, in data management and distribution of social assistance. Through a reflective and participatory approach, local leaders can ensure the accuracy and honesty of data on social assistance recipients, as well as increase the overall effectiveness of the social assistance program. Penelitian sebelumnya menyatakan, permasalahan yang masih terjadi hingga saat ini adalah lemahnya komunikasi dan koordinasi antar lembaga, penyaluran bansos yang tidak sesuai target sasaran, ketidakjelasan mekanisme penyaluran dan data penerima bansos yang tidak sinkron, kurangnya integrasi satu data indonesia, kesalahan identifikasi dan pengabaian terhadap kelompok rentan, penerima bansos meninggal masih terdaftar, identitas penerima bansos tidak terdaftar dalam DTKS atau SIKS-NG, penerima bansos bermasalah tetap terdaftar, NIK tidak valid, penerima bansos tidak aktif tetap menerima bantuan, penerima bansos ganda. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami proses sensemaking yang digunakan pemangku kepentingan dalam menentukan calon penerima bansos. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis dan desain studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, pentingnya peran konstruksi identitas pemimpin lokal, terutama kepala desa, dalam tata kelola data dan penyaluran bansos. Melalui pendekatan reflektif dan partisipatif, pemimpin lokal dapat memastikan keakuratan dan kejujuran data penerima bansos, serta meningkatkan efektivitas program bansos secara keseluruhan. Abstract

Many studies on rice landrace (Oryza sativa sbsp. indica) have been conducted by biodiversity, ethnobotany, and agroecology disciplines. The importance of rice landraces as genetic resources and the basics of human civilizations. Conservation landraces in Tumbang Datu and Pongbembe nowadays are affected by the following socio-cultural constraints: a) decline numbers of local varieties after the regional government-imposed funding to local communities to substitute new-high yield varieties, b) rice rites and landrace conservation are on the brink of extinction. This research explores daily behaviors that contribute to rice landrace conservations through the sociological approach of collective memory and symbolic interaction. Today’s generations use new meanings and symbols of rice derived from collective memories and virtues. Various interviewees practice mnemonic devices (what, why, who, where, when, and how) that reflect foodways. According to Blumer, social structures are networks of interdependence among actors that place conditions on their actions. In these networks, people act and produce symbols and meanings of rice to interpret their situations and to have their own set in a localized process of social interpretation. Moreover, the Toraja language is used as a bridge in communicating the past, present, and future to strengthening collective identity. This research uses a qualitative method to explore rice landrace conservation using open-ended questions, in-depth interviews, and Focus Group Discussions. A free-listing method was followed to gather interviewees’ collective memories of rice landraces. Findings show that a combination of methods, tradition-based conservation, and current scientific-technology-based conservation become a practice for promoting, educating, and stimulating the public and researchers to engage in landraces conservation. These findings suggest that the socio-cultural ecosystem and Blumer’s social network support new networks to deliver science in agricultural innovation policy. The results showed that collective memories and foodways create ways that would benefit rice landrace conservation the most.
