Abstract

This research aims to analyze soap product sales data in a supermarket to understand sales patterns and categorize products based on their sales levels. Considering the multitude of soap products, the supermarket finds it difficult to conduct research on the best-selling soap products. The data used includes 4,694 soap product sales data from January 2022 to December 2023, with variables such as type, brand, price, and quantity sold. In this study, the Random Forest method is used to classify soap products into four categories: not popular, less popular, popular, and most popular. The process of data analysis and processing was carried out using Google Colaboratory with the Python programming language. Based on the evaluation results, the produced model has an accuracy of 94.6%, which indicates that this method is effective in classifying products based on sales levels. The results of this research are expected to help supermarkets optimize inventory management and design more targeted marketing strategies to increase profits. With this classification, supermarkets can focus more on products that have the potential to contribute greater profits.

Abstract

An automotive spare parts manufacturing plant in Bekasi Regency, Indonesia, has created a closed-loop sustainability project to address the essential issue of food waste management. With a canteen that serves 3,500 employees every day, the facility creates a lot of food waste, which has traditionally caused environmental and financial problems. The activity-integrated approach highlights the potential for novel waste management strategies to promote sustainability in industrial settings. The research frequently treats waste management and resource production (such as decorative fish ponds) as distinct domains, with a scarcity of studies focusing on sustainability practices within facilities catering to large employee populations with internal systems (such as canteens) that generate significant waste. As a result, it closes the gap by offering a case study of how an internal waste stream. The major goal is to create and execute a closed-loop system that converts food waste into a useful resource, maggots, for feeding decorative fish. Similarly, examine the economic benefits of eliminating the need for commercially supplied fish feed, as well as the environmental impact of decreasing food waste through an integrated waste management approach. This study employs a case study technique to analyze the deployment and consequences of a closed-loop sustainability system at an automotive spare parts manufacturing facility. The method provides for a thorough analysis of the procedures, obstacles and triumphs that come with repurposing food waste for maggot cultivation and fish feeding. The adoption of the closed-loop system successfully diverted a significant volume of food waste from the canteen, decreasing the environmental impact of typical trash disposal methods. Furthermore, the project resulted in significant cost savings by eliminating the need to buy commercial fish feed. As a result, the closed-loop technology helped to reduce the facilities overall carbon footprint by reducing waste and the requirement for externally supplied feed ingredients, which generally demand significant resources to produce and deliver. The discovery establishes a feasible approach for deploying closed-loop sustainability systems in industrial settings. It demonstrates how merging waste management and resource generation can improve sustainability while reducing operational expenses. Furthermore, demonstrated financial benefits, such as cost savings and potential profitability, can pique the interest of industry stakeholders for sustainable and economically viable solutions. The study also emphasizes the environmental benefits of reducing waste and reducing reliance on commercially produced feed, which contributes to a lower carbon footprint and reduces the environmental impact of manufacturing processes. Finally, the effort contributes to the company's CSR profile, demonstrating a commitment to environmental stewardship and appropriate resource management, which improves the companies reputation and employee morale.

Abstract

The article presents the findings from a phenomenological, qualitative research study that explored the personal constructs of urban millennials Muslim in Indonesia in virtual Hajj/Umrah training (manasik). The focus of the study was to dig and assess the informer’s perception about doing the pilgrimage in the midst of pandemic as well as their responses to the spatial concept of a virtual manasik. In-depth interview accompanied with visual stimulus of a website showcasing a virtual 3D 360º of Kaaba was done to Muslim informers in order to collect data. The sample consisted of five Muslim informers, within the range age of 30 to 40 years old, male and female of which have had an experience of conducting umrah. Literature study and content analysis were also undertaken to provide a defensible conclusion. In general, informers who gave their insights about the training being carried out in Indonesia did not provide a comprehensive picture about the real condition and live spatial experience in Saudi Arabia. Anticipating this by giving adequate and real life visual spatial information was being perceived helpful by informers.

Abstract

Abstract

Stock management at PT. Gasindo Raya Utama is a system designed to simplify stock management and facilitate accurate decision-making processes. The purpose of this system is to design an information system that supports the management of 3 kg LPG stocks at PT. Gasindo Raya Utama by implementing the Safety Stock and Reorder Point methods. This system is intended to help the company prevent stock shortages and determine the timing and quantity of reorder effectively. The Safety Stock method is applied to calculate the minimum reserve stock required to anticipate fluctuations in demand or supply delays. Meanwhile, the Reorder Point method is used to determine the reorder point based on daily consumption levels and lead times. The implementation of this system is expected to improve the efficiency of stock management, minimize the risk of stockouts, and ensure that LPG distribution runs smoothly in accordance with the needs of the community.
