Abstract

This study explores the experiences of social studies students in using digital libraries, focusing on accessibility, user satisfaction, content relevance, and technical challenges. Through a mixed-method approach involving questionnaires, interviews, and observations with 50 participants, the research reveals that digital libraries significantly enhance students' academic engagement, information literacy, and research productivity. Most students reported positive experiences in terms of access and interface usability, especially in using Perpusnas (Indonesia’s National Digital Library). However, persistent challenges such as limited full-text availability, slow internet speeds, and the need for improved user guidance continue to hinder optimal usage. The study concludes that addressing technical issues and curating discipline-specific content are vital for improving the efficiency and inclusivity of digital libraries. These findings contribute to the ongoing discourse on digital transformation in education, emphasizing the need for strategic development in digital library services tailored to specific academic fields.

Abstract

This Study aims to determine teachers’ views on the effectiveness of jarimatika, kumon, and abacus methods in improving junior high school students’ mathematics abilities. This Study uses a qualitative approach with data sources from one mathematics teacher and 27 junior high school students at Nurul Huda Witthaya School. The research instruments are interviews and Google Forms with data collection techniques through literature studies, questionnaires, and interviews. Data analysis techniques use content analysis and thematic categorization. The study results indicate that teachers tend to choose the Kumon method because it is considered systematic and practical at the junior high school level. At the same time, students prefer jarimatika because it is considered easy and fun. The conclusion of this Study shows the need for adjustments to mathematics learning methods that pay attention to the effectiveness of student interest and learning. This Study suggests a balanced integration approach between pedagogical needs and student preferences.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop and test a mathematics learning tool using Virtual Reality (VR) technology on the Android platform. The material focused on is flat-sided spatial objects for junior high school students. The development stages were carried out through various steps, from planning to testing on students. The findings showed that the media was considered appropriate by experts, easily accessible to students, and contributed to improving learning outcomes. In addition, students appeared more enthusiastic and excited during the learning process. A review of two other articles confirmed that VR and AR-based media were able to improve understanding and make learning more enjoyable. This tool could be an interesting alternative for teaching mathematics.

Abstract

To enhance students' comprehension of mathematical problem solving, particularly when learning Basic Statistics, this project intends to apply the methodology of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). This research was conducted quantitatively, with data collected through posttest and pre-test-based experiments. The study results stated that students taught using the RME method showed stronger critical thinking abilities than students taught with the conventional method. In particular, students taught using the RME method showed a discernible grade rise. Based on the questionnaire responses, 80% of students stated that learning by linking mathematics to real life makes learning more effective and enjoyable. As a result, the combined posttest and pretest tests demonstrated here demonstrate the RME approach's beneficial effects. This supports the finding that RME enhances students' comprehension and addresses problems by relating math ideas with real scenarios.

Abstract

Credit activities in the form of saving money from members, providing loans to members and managing existing funds are still intuitive and can cause errors in the credit process. So that this crediting process does not occur and can run smoothly, a payment prediction using data mining is needed. Therefore we conducted this research. The research method we use is the knowledge discovery in database process model, where this process is divided into several stages, namely selection, pre-processing or cleaning, transformation, data mining and evaluation.

Abstract

This article discusses the important role of mathematics in enhancing cyber security in the data encryption process. The research problem investigates the benefits of applying mathematical principles in maintaining data security amid increasingly complex cyber threats. The study focuses on four main criteria: protecting sensitive information, verifying user identity, preventing intrusions, and protecting network integrity. Mathematical algorithms, binary numbers, and boolean algebra are essential in effectively encrypting data. They not only protect sensitive information from unauthorized access but also verify user authenticity, preventing identity theft and unauthorized system access. By utilizing mathematical theories and algorithms, binary numbers, and boolean algebra, cyber security systems can guarantee data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. In conclusion, the integration of mathematics in cyber security systems is essential to mitigate risks and protect critical digital assets from increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.

Abstract

The ease of access offered by the internet makes many people choose to turn to online media as a source of information and news. One of the notable news media portals in Indonesia is Kompas.com. In conveying online news, Kompas.com journalists must, of course, pay attention to the journalistic ethical codes that have been regulated in the Press Law Number 40 of 1999. This research uses a qualitative approach with document analysis and note-taking methods. This study aims to answer whether the publication experience on Kompas.com affects the ability to analyze the author's code of ethics, what forms of violation of the journalistic code of ethics are found in Kompas.com's reporting and whether violations of the journalistic code of ethics can affect readers psychologically. The results of this study found that publication experience on Kompas.com did not affect the ability to understand the journalistic code of ethics. There are five forms of violations of the journalistic code of ethics that researchers found in Kompas.com news, and violations of the journalistic code of ethics can affect readers psychologically.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of well-being on mathematics learning among university students. It addresses the limited research on how well-being affects mathematics learning in higher education. Data from 68 respondents were processed using quantitative methods; this study investigated the relationship between several aspects of well-being and mathematics learning. The results demonstrated that psychological health and Behavior significantly influence students' mathematical understanding. While subjective well-being, Emotion, and spiritual well-being showed less significant effects in this context. The study highlights the importance of backing students' emotional and mental well-being to enhance their learning in mathematics at the university level. It accentuates that academic programs should arrange these aspects to create a more effective learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students’ perceptions of peer feedback in mathematics learning. The method used is quantitative descriptive, with data collection through a Likert scale questionnaire. The research participants consisted of 20 students randomly selected at several universities in Banten. The results showed that most students had a positive perception of peer feedback. High percentages of agreement were seen in the aspects of usefulness 82%, effectiveness 82%, its impact on understanding 81,25%, and mastery of mathematics material 82,5%. Lecturer support was also considered necessary 77,5% in facilitating feedback. However, 60% of students admitted to experiencing challenges in giving and receiving feedback, mainly due to awkwardness or uncertainty. The findings confirm that peer feedback increases activeness, collaboration, and understanding of mathematical concepts. Therefore, it is necessary to implement peer feedback that is structured and actively supported by lecturers, accompanied by adequate training and effective use of technology so that this practice can run more optimally.
