Abstract

The face is one of the body parts that a detection system can detect. This is what underlies the existence of face detection. One technology that uses face identification is biometric identification. The Viola-Jones method determines whether an object is a face by extracting features in a face image and classifying it to decide whether or not it is a face. However, the Viola-Jones method has the disadvantage that it can only detect human faces. This research will combine the Viola-Jones method to recognize human faces with the Local Binary Pattern Histogram (LBPH) method. The result is that the system can detect and identify up to two human faces facing forward, sideways, up, and down for the database. An accuracy calculation is also added to measure the accuracy of face recognition after the database is retrieved and trained. This average percentage of correctness is taken from comparing the predicted face to be recognized with the face that will be recognized. The result will be compared again with the number of photos taken during the recognition process and multiplied by 100%.

Abstract

Abstract

Tourism plays a significant role in the economic development of Indonesia, particularly in areas like Meleura Beach, Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, which offers unique natural landscapes and cultural heritage. However, local MSMEs in the region face challenges in promoting their products and services due to limited digital marketing skills and technological adaptation. This study aims to explore the role of strategic marketing, especially digital marketing, in enhancing the attractiveness of the Meleura Beach tourism destination. A qualitative research approach, combining SWOT analysis and FGDs, was employed to assess the current marketing strategies of MSMEs and their potential for growth. The findings revealed that while businesses possess strengths in their unique products and local resources, many face weaknesses such as insufficient digital marketing capabilities and infrastructure. Opportunities for growth lie in leveraging digital marketing tools and community-based tourism, but threats from competition and regulatory changes remain significant. The study concludes that enhancing digital literacy among MSMEs, supported by government and private sector collaboration, is essential for increasing market reach and competitiveness. It is recommended that MSMEs focus on digital marketing, community involvement, and partnerships with international agencies to ensure long-term growth and sustainability in the global tourism market.

Abstract

HIV/AIDS remains a significant global health challenge, requiring accurate predictive models for early detection and improved clinical decision-making. However, developing an effective predictive model faces challenges such as data imbalance and the presence of irrelevant features, which can compromise model accuracy. This study aims to enhance the performance of AIDS infection prediction models by integrating feature selection, data balancing, and machine learning classification techniques. Feature selection is conducted using Pearson Correlation, Mutual Information, and Chi-Square tests to retain only the most relevant features. Random Oversampling, SMOTE, and ADASYN are employed to address data imbalance and improve model robustness. Nine machine learning algorithms, including Decision Tree, Random Forest, XGBoost, LightGBM, Gradient Boosting, Support Vector Machine, AdaBoost, and Logistic Regression, are tested for classification. Performance evaluation using confusion matrix, precision, recall, F1-score, and AUC-ROC shows that tree-based models (Random Forest, Extra Trees, and XGBoost) achieve the best results, particularly in handling minority class predictions. The study concludes that combining feature selection, data balancing, and machine learning techniques significantly improves predictive performance, making it a valuable approach for early detection and clinical decision support in HIV/AIDS diagnosis. Future research may explore hyperparameter tuning and real-world clinical data integration to enhance practical applicability.

Abstract

The exploitation and objectification of women are issues that develop across various aspects of life, including the digital realm. From a radical feminist perspective, the phenomenon of Video Call Sex arises due to the rapid advancement of digital technology, leading to increased exploitation of women. This practice commodifies women's bodies to fulfill men's sexual desires. This study aims to analyze the forms of exploitation and objectification experienced by women in Video Call Sex practices. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological perspective was used. Data collection techniques included interviews and participatory observations. The research subjects were women with direct experience in Video Call Sex who were willing to openly share their personal experiences. The study involved three informants, and data collection continued until no new information was found. The study’s findings reveal that: (1) Women are reduced to sexual objects controlled by men, either as clients or as request regulators. (2) There is a power imbalance between men and women, as women are in a vulnerable position in responding to client demands. These findings indicate that women in Video Call Sex practices face not only economic exploitation but also structural oppression that sustains gender inequality. The novelty of this research lies in its in-depth analysis of how digital technology reinforces the exploitation of women within a radical feminist framework and how this practice contributes to the expanding patriarchal system in the digital era.
