Abstract

This paper aims to facilitate prospective teachers and people who want to learn braille letters. The system designed is a website that will classify braille letters using the convolutional neural network (CNN) method with the activation functions used, namely ReLU and Softmax. In this research, the input is an image of braille letters with grayscale elements. The output of the data is a regular alphabet letter. Most of this research data consists of training and testing data, which is 2,722 pieces. The accuracy results obtained in the data training process using Max Pooling and epoch 30 for data is 92.15%, epoch 50 is 94.58%, and for training data with epoch 100 is 96.64%. The test results using the system produce an accuracy value of all braille letter image data of 92.30%. Furthermore, for better system development, it is recommended to use hyperparameter tuning to minimize classification uncertainty in braille letter images.

Abstract

The exploitation and objectification of women are issues that develop across various aspects of life, including the digital realm. From a radical feminist perspective, the phenomenon of Video Call Sex arises due to the rapid advancement of digital technology, leading to increased exploitation of women. This practice commodifies women's bodies to fulfill men's sexual desires. This study aims to analyze the forms of exploitation and objectification experienced by women in Video Call Sex practices. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological perspective was used. Data collection techniques included interviews and participatory observations. The research subjects were women with direct experience in Video Call Sex who were willing to openly share their personal experiences. The study involved three informants, and data collection continued until no new information was found. The study’s findings reveal that: (1) Women are reduced to sexual objects controlled by men, either as clients or as request regulators. (2) There is a power imbalance between men and women, as women are in a vulnerable position in responding to client demands. These findings indicate that women in Video Call Sex practices face not only economic exploitation but also structural oppression that sustains gender inequality. The novelty of this research lies in its in-depth analysis of how digital technology reinforces the exploitation of women within a radical feminist framework and how this practice contributes to the expanding patriarchal system in the digital era.

Abstract

Reading the Qur'an properly and correctly is an obligation for all Muslims. This is intended so that the verses of the Qur'an that are recited are in accordance with the reading of the Qur'an by the Prophet Muhammad, and so that they are in accordance with the intent and purpose of the verses of the Al-Qur'an itself. One of the ways to read the Qur'an properly and correctly is to learn the rules of tajwid and take tahsin with a teacher or someone who is an expert in that field, especially someone whose reading has been in sanad and has received a diploma to teach it again

Abstract

Pavement is one of the elements of road construction is very important in order to smooth the land transportation so as to provide comfort and safety for its users, so it needs to be well planned based on standards and planning criteria applicable in Indonesia. In this research will be discussed about rigid pavement planning analysis for the development of road infrastructure in urban and rural areas, since this road pavement is more able to support heavy vehicle load and resistant to puddles. From the field data that has been collected, and through analysis and calculation of Road Pavement Planning with CBR value of 90% is 3.5%. Average Daily Traffic on the road 1. Abstract

In the process of building a construction project, work delays often occur on the project. So we need an alternative that can be used to support the acceleration of project completion. In this study, we will analyze the acceleration of duration in the construction project of RSUB Malang Building, with the alternative of adding four hours of work and the work shift system (morning shift and night shift). The total project cost budget in post-crashing conditions with the alternative of additional working hours was Rp.12,312,448,567.00 or more expensive 0.82% of the total project cost budget under normal conditions and the duration of project implementation was 191 working days or faster 9, 05% of the normal duration, while the total project budget in conditions after crashing with an alternative work shift system was Rp. 12,155,175,517.00 or 0.47% cheaper than the total project cost budget under normal conditions and the duration of project implementation was 179 days or 14.76% faster than the normal duration. It can be concluded that implementing a work shift system is a more effective and economical alternative to crashing, because the duration is faster and the total project cost budget is cheaper.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of the Critical Path Method (CPM) and Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) in optimizing project time management. The research method used is a literature study by analyzing various scientific references related to CPM and PERT. The results show that CPM is effective in identifying the critical path of a project that directly impacts project duration, while PERT excels in managing project time uncertainty through a probabilistic approach. The analysis indicates that combining both methods can enhance the accuracy of project time planning, minimize delay risks, and ensure optimal resource utilization. The conclusion of this study is that CPM and PERT have their respective advantages in project time management, and their simultaneous application can be an effective strategy for achieving project objectives more efficiently. Therefore, project managers are advised to understand the project characteristics and select the appropriate method to optimize project time management.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of humanistic-based group counseling to improve students' self-confidence. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving 11 8th grade students of SMPN 234 Jakarta who have low self-confidence. The counseling process includes the stages of opening, transition, core activities, and ending. The results showed a significant increase in aspects of public speaking, assertiveness, and open acceptance of criticism. An empathetic, supportive, and non-judgmental counseling environment provides space for students to recognize their potential and increase their self-confidence. This study recommends the integration of a humanistic approach in school counseling programs to support students' psychological development.

Abstract

The high unemployment rate among graduates of vocational high schools reflects a gap between educational outcomes and the demands of the industry. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-discipline and fieldwork practices on students’ readiness to enter the workforce. The research was conducted with 51 twelfth-grade students from the Mechanical Engineering program at Vocational High School “Sore” Tulungagung. The instruments used included a self-discipline scale, a student readiness scale, and fieldwork practice scores. Data were analysed using Pearson product-moment correlation. The findings revealed that self-discipline is positively and significantly correlated with students’ readiness to enter the workforce (r = 0.338; p < 0.05), while fieldwork practices also showed a significant positive correlation with student readiness (r = 0.415; p < 0.01). Simultaneously, both variables were significantly associated with students’ readiness (r = 0.471; p < 0.01). These results emphasise the importance of strengthening student discipline and providing relevant fieldwork experience in preparing vocational school graduates to be more competitive and adaptive in the evolving labour market. This study also offers practical implications for schools and industries in designing learning programs that are better aligned with workforce requirements.

Abstract

One of the communication problems in deaf people is the inhibition of verbal communication. This is due to the limited hearing function which has an impact on the imperfection of language sound reception. To communicate with deaf people, extraordinary communication is needed so that the meaning of the conversation can be conveyed properly. Sign language is the main communication medium for deaf people. However, in the use of sign language, there are ambiguous letters, namely “D “,“E“,“M“,“N“,“R“, “S“, and “U“. This research uses the chain code method to identify and reconstruct the shape of hand gesture objects. Then, to solve the problem of ambiguity of alphabet letters, an artificial intelligence method, namely K-Nearest Neighbors (K-NN), is used. The sample used consists of 350 real-time images with variations in object recognition accuracy. Based on the research using chain code and K-NN classification method, it can be concluded that the recognition of ambiguous letters in sign language has 245 training data for K-NN which has 88.76% accuracy, and 105 test data with 90% accuracy. This test data is divided into seven letters: “D“, “E”, “M”, “R” and “U” at 100%, and “N” and “S” at 98.88%.
