Abstract

Rivers are dynamic freshwater ecosystems that play a crucial role in supporting biodiversity, providing clean water, and regulating hydrological cycle. However, their sustainability is increasingly threatened by anthropogenic activities, which increase pollution. Declining water quality contributes to ecosystem degradation and increases risks to human health. This study assessed water quality of Coban Pelangi and Metro River using National Sanitation Foundation Water Quality Index (NSF-WQI) method. Observations were conducted during May–June 2025 at five sampling stations representing different riparian land uses, including protected forest, tourist area, agriculture, and residential zones. Nine parameters were analyzed, including temperature, TDS, turbidity, pH, DO, BOD, phosphate, nitrate, and fecal coliform. Results showed that C1 station in Coban Pelangi protected forest exhibited good water quality (NSF-WQI = 71). In contrast, C2 and C3 station experienced a decline to moderate quality (NSF-WQI = 58–61) due to tourism and agriculture. In contrast, M1 and M2 station located in Metro River agricultural and residential area, showed poor to moderate water quality (NSF-WQI = 49-56). These findings confirm that anthropogenic activities put significant pressure on river ecosystems and cause a decline in water quality. Therefore, a river management policy based on land use and pollution control is needed.

Abstract

The Javan lutung (Trachypitecus auratus) is known as one of the endemic primates of Java, Bali, and Lombok, whose existence is classified as vulnerable. Anthropogenic practices such as illegal wildlife trade, hunting, and habitat reduction stimulate changes in habitat use decisions, foraging strategies, and restrictions on daily activities. The objectives of the study include: (1) analyzing the vegetation that constitutes the Javan langur's diet, (2) identifying the Javan langur's preferences for food trees as indicators of foraging behavior, and (3) analyzing the daily feeding behavior of Javanese langurs in the Coban Pelangi area. The results of the research show that there are 15 plant species from 6 families with the highest INP found in Calliandra calothyrsus with a value of  87.22%, while there are 5 types of plants that serve as food sources, with Phyllantus reticulatus being the highest preference at 6,15 (w>1), Ficus sp. 3, Ficus kurzii, Calliandra calothyrsus, and Dendrocnide stimulans. The feeding behavior of the Javan langur as a daily activity is carried out by grabbing leaf stalks with their hands, stripping them, and then eating the young leaves for 2-5 minutes while sitting.

Abstract

Introduction: Indonesia has great potential in the energy sector, attracting significant investor interest; however, energy companies' financial performance often faces pressures and environmental challenges. The disclosure of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices has become increasingly important as a sustainable business strategy, which is believed to enhance corporate value and competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the effect of ESG on the financial performance of energy companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2023 period.Methods: This research is quantitative in nature. The population studied consists of energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2018 to 2023. Based on the sampling results, there are 12 energy sector companies as the sample objects. The analytical method used in this research is panel data regression method using E-Views 10 statistical software.Results: Based on the estimation results using panel data regression with the common effect model, it can be concluded that the environmental variable has a significant positive effect on company performance (ROE) with a coefficient of 0.344818 (p-value = 0.0298), and the governance variable also shows a significant positive effect with a coefficient of 0.046795 (p-value = 0.0059). However, the social variable does not significantly affect ROE with a p-value of 0.9748. Keywords: Corporate Performance, Environmental, Governance, Social

Abstract

Economic valuation is a method for revealing the importance of a forest based on monetary value. The economic valuation of the Pesanggrahan Forest is carried out to reveal the economic value of Direct Use Value, Indirect Use Value, Option Value, Existence Value, and Bequest Value to obtain the Total Economic Value (TEV) of the Pesanggrahan Forest area. The methods used to determine the economic value are Market Price, Replacement Method, and Contingent Valuation Method. The results show that Pesanggrahan Forest have a Total Economic Value IDR. 268,962,582,306. This total value is the value of the protected forest IDR. 145,753,885 and production forest IDR 123,209,166,421. This value describes the magnitude of the benefits of forest as an economic and ecological function in the Pesanggrahan Forest Area, Malang Regency. Protected forest have greater economic value than production forest, so it is hoped that forest conversion will not occur again, both in the Pesanggrahan Forest and other forest in Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out the influence of single bulb garlic on sperm quality improvement in hyperlipidemia model of male mice. Male mice (Balb-C, 12 weeks, bw 215 g) were given high fat diet for 45 days until their body weight achieved 455 g. The mice were then divided into six groups. The mice in the first group (control group (N)) was fed with 7 g higrow pokphan 551 per day. The mice in the second group (control negative group) was fed with 7 g high fat diet (HFD), while the mice in the third group (control positive group) were treated with statin at dose of 0.91 mg. The mice in groups 4, 5, and 6 were treated with single bulb garlic extract at dose of 125 mg/kg bw, 250 mg/kg bw, and 500 mg/kg bw, respectively. On the 31st day, the male were dissected and cauda epididymis was taken and chopped in a sterile phosphat buffer saline (PBS) and observation conducted on sperm quality consisted of sperm count, sperm motility and sperm normality. The results indicated a significant increase in sperm count, motility and normality in mice treated with single bulb garlic extract at dose of 250 mg/kg bw.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a PBL-based e-module containing local wisdom that is valid, practical and effective for improving students' critical thinking skills, problem solving and environmental attitudes. This type of research is research and development (Research & Development) using the Lee & Owens (2004) model which consists of 5 stages, namely assessment and analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects used in this research were 36 students in class X.B and 36 students in class X.E at SMA Negeri 1 Narmada. The research instruments used consisted of expert validation sheets, practicality assessment sheets, and tests of students' critical thinking skills, problem solving, and environmental attitude questionnaires. The research results show: 1) the e-module meets the validity requirements based on the assessment of material experts with an average validity of 100% which is in the very valid category, media and teaching materials experts are 98% in the very valid category, and biology education practitioners are 99% in the category very valid. The e-module developed meets the practicality requirements based on the results of trials per person, namely 89% in the very practical category, small group trials, namely 91% in the very practical category and field trials, namely 89% in the very practical category; and 2) test the effectiveness of the e-module using the ANCOVA hypothesis test showing that the e-module is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills, problem solving and environmental attitudes. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the PBL-based e-module contains the local wisdom of Sesaot Village in the form of using plants as medicinal plants and their conservation efforts meet the criteria of being valid, practical and effective for improving students' critical thinking skills, problem solving and environmental attitudes.

Abstract

Increasingly tight competition in the 21st century requires students to be able to think well. Students are required to have critical thinking to be able to compete superiorly in increasingly fierce competition in the 21st century. One innovation in biodiversity learning that can be adopted is the development of electronic biodiversity practicum instructions in inquiry learning. The development procedure used consists of five stages, including: 1) assessment/analysis which consists of two phases, namely needs assessment and front-end analysis; 2) design (design); 3) development (development); 4) implementation (implementation); and 5) evaluation. Biodiversity electronic practicum instructions after being validated have very valid validity and are effective in improving critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Perception is one of the psychological factors that influence consumer purchasing decisions. The study of consumer perceptions is important because it relates to the idea of consumer perceptions about a product, and can help companies to take appropriate communication policy based on the study of consumer perception. Judging from the dimensions of consumer perceptions in making purchasing decisions can be seen from the three kinds of terms,  in terms of products, price and promotion. For a company the assessment of consumer perceptions very important role in decision making matters, especially in this case is about the decision of purchasing a product or item. To make a purchasing decisions of consumers will go through a certain process, as well as in the event of a decision to choose the product or brand they will carry out the process in advance may be because they do not want to bear the risk when buying these products, so they will be full of consideration. Abstract

Perubahan lingkungan dan persaingan merupakan suatu faktor penentu dalam perencanaan strategi yang dapat menentukan peluang atau ancaman terhadap perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh lingkungan baik lingkungan eksternal maupun internal pada PT. Buanakarya Adi Mandiri Malang, sehingga dapat ditentukan strategi yang sesuai dengan perusahaan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, yaitu penelitian yang berusaha untuk menuturkan pemecahan yang ada sekarang, dengan menyajikan data, menganalisis data, dan menginterpretasikannya. Data-data yang diteliti meliputi aspek lingkungan eksternal maupun internal perusahaan, sehingga dari situ akan ditemukan peluang, hambatan, kekuatan dan kelemahan perusahaan dalam menghadapi pesaing. Sedangkan alat analisis yang digunakan adalah Analisis Rasio, EFE, IFE, Matriks SWOT, Matriks IE (Internal-Eksternal) dan Matriks Space. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan analisis lingkungan internal dan eksternal yang berpengaruh terhadap PT. Buanakarya Adi Mandiri, strategi yang sesuai adalah kombinasi antara market penetration strategy dan product development strategy. Dimana pada strategi penetrasi pasar pengembang akan meningkatkan market share suatu produk dengan meningkatkan tenaga penjual, meningkatkan promosi penjualan dan usaha promosi lainnya. Dan pada strategi pengembangan produk, pengembang akan memusatkan atau memfokuskan diri pada usahanya untuk meningkatkan atau memodifikasi  produk yang memiliki konsep berbeda dan lebih baik dibanding pesaing dan dengan harga yang bersaing. Untuk menjabarkan strategi yang telah dirumuskan, maka perlu dibuat suatu kebijaksanaan fungsional, kebijakan ini meliputi kebijaksanaan manajemen, pemasaran, produksi, keuangan, ekonomi, demografi, pasar, dan persaingan.   Kata Kunci: Strategi, faktor internal, faktor eksternal
