Abstract

This study explores the impact of montage activities on the development of fine motor skills and creativity in early childhood education, as implemented in a community service project at TK Dharma Bhakti Surabaya. The project aimed to train PAUD teachers to integrate montage as a pedagogical tool, fostering both physical and creative growth in children aged 4 to 6. The training provided teachers with hands-on experience in conducting montage activities and assessing student outcomes in these developmental areas. Data were collected through pre- and post-training assessments of both teachers and students. The results showed a significant improvement in teachers’ confidence and competence in using montage for educational purposes. Additionally, students exhibited substantial gains in fine motor skills, with an average improvement of 20% in tasks involving cutting, pasting, and object manipulation. Creativity scores also improved, with 75% of students demonstrating enhanced creative expression through the use of diverse materials and techniques. The findings support the use of montage as an effective strategy for addressing the dual goals of motor skill development and creative thinking in early childhood education. Furthermore, the project highlights the importance of providing teachers with professional development opportunities that focus on creative pedagogies. While challenges such as resource availability and balancing academic content with creative activities were noted, the study offers valuable insights into the practical implementation of art-based learning in resource-constrained settings.

Abstract

Penggunaan media sosial atau aplikasi konferensi di smartphone atau laptop untuk pembelajaran online membuat siswa lebih nyaman dengan teknologi digital, atau beberapa siswa sudah terbiasa dengannya karena waktu mereka di SDN Rowokangkung 1 Kabupaten Lumajang, dan proyek pengabdian masyarakat yang berfokus pada literasi digital kemudian dilakukan untuk mengajari siswa cara memanfaatkan internet dengan aman, sehat, dan berpengetahuan. Kegiatan selama tiga bulan, dimulai dengan sosialisasi dan perijinan dan diakhiri dengan evaluasi. Siswa yang berpartisipasi dalam proyek layanan ini memiliki pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang bagaimana menggunakan internet dan teknologi elektronik seperti smartphone untuk kebaikan, serta bagaimana aman saat online dan menemukan situs web yang dapat dipercaya dengan konten yang sesuai dengan usia. 91 persen responden bersedia untuk bertanya, mengulang informasi yang mereka pelajari dari pendidik, dan mengulang isi yang mereka pelajari dari kegiatan, dan keefektifan kegiatan ditunjukkan dengan antusias partisipasi siswa. Aktivitas Siswa dapat menggunakan teknologi contohnya blog, media sosial, web, dan YouTube untuk menemukan materi, membaca, dan mendengarkan, dan mereka dapat melacak kemajuan setiap pembelajaran seperti yang diajarkan secara online.

Abstract

Learning during the COVID-19 pandemic requires all educators to be more creative and innovative in packaging subject matter. The subject matter presented is not only interesting but also must be able to maximize the competencies possessed by students. Therefore, learning materials must be made very pleasant and easy to understand. The purpose of this Community Service (PPM) activity is to provide elementary school teachers with skills and insight in creating simple and interesting children's songs according to the theme of the lesson in elementary school, so that students can be more interested and easily understand the material presented by the teacher. The method used in this activity is training and mentoring which is carried out online with the target subject of 73 elementary school teachers in Magetan. The stages of training activities include working on pre-test questions, explaining song creation material, practicing individual children's song creations, assisting in creating children's songs via WhatsApp, Telegram groups and Google Drive, presenting the results of song creation followed by evaluation of the next activity working on post-test questions. The result of the implementation of training and mentoring activities is that elementary school teachers can better understand how to make children's songs according to simple, easy and interesting lesson themes. This can be seen from the results of making song lyrics that are in accordance with the theme of the lesson, making good tones that are created by themselves or using existing tones and being able to sing songs that have been created. The conclusion is that the training and mentoring activities for the creation of thematic children's songs have been carried out well and provide benefits to elementary school teachers. It is hoped that similar activities can continue to be carried out in order to increase teacher creativity.

Abstract

Teachers are required to write scientific papers as part of their work. Because not all teachers are proficient writers of scientific papers, this is a problem in the field of education. Most of the teachers at SDN Tambelang 1 and SDN Curahsawo 3 Probolinggo Regency still have difficulty writing scientific papers, according to a preliminary survey. As a result of these problems, teachers should be provided with training and assistance in article creation. The curriculum of the training and mentoring program is based on volunteer work in the community. The teaching team of FKIP PGSD Universitas Nahdatul Ulama Surabaya is involved in the service project. Face-to-face and online coaching and teaching activities are combined in this way. Both theoretical and practical instructions are given in the first stage; assistance on how to submit papers for publication in the following scientific publications. Teachers' understanding and scientific writing skills can benefit from this volunteer work in the community and become more refined as a result. Teachers, on the other hand, have the option of submitting papers to scientific publications as part of their duties as educators.  Abstrak: Guru wajib menulis karya ilmiah sebagai bagian dari pekerjaannya. Karena tidak semua pengajar adalah penulis karya ilmiah yang mahir, hal ini menjadi persoalan di bidang pendidikan. Sebagian besar pengajar di SDN Tambelang 1 dan SDN Curahsawo 3 Kabupaten Probolinggo masih kesulitan menulis karya ilmiah, menurut survei pendahuluan. Sebagai akibat dari masalah ini, Guru harus diberikan pelatihan dan bantuan dalam pembuatan artikel. Kurikulum program pelatihan dan pendampingan didasarkan pada kerja sukarela di masyarakat. Tim Pengajar FKIP PGSD Universitas Nahdatul Ulama Surabaya terlibat dalam proyek pengabdian tersebut. Kegiatan pembinaan dan pengajaran tatap muka dan online digabungkan dengan cara ini. Baik instruksi teoretis dan praktis diberikan pada tahap pertama; bantuan tentang cara mengirimkan makalah untuk publikasi dalam publikasi ilmiah berikut. Pemahaman guru dan kemampuan menulis ilmiah dapat mengambil manfaat dari kerja sukarela ini di masyarakat dan sebagai akibatnya menjadi lebih halus. Guru, di sisi lain, memiliki pilihan sendiri untuk mengirimkan makalah ke publikasi ilmiah sebagai bagian dari tugas mereka sebagai pendidik.

Abstract

Ketika pandemi Covid 19 muncul, guru sekolah dasar tidak memiliki keahlian yang diperlukan untuk menyusun pelajaran online. Ini mengilhami tingkat komitmen ini. Pelatihan bagi guru dalam keterampilan merakit online adalah tujuan dari layanan ini. Pelatihan dan seminar digunakan untuk menyediakan layanan ini. Guru dapat menggunakan layanan ini untuk mempelajari cara membuat pembelajaran online yang menarik dan menantang, serta cara mempostingnya di media sosial dan di LMS. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini, hampir 95 persen guru telah siap mengumpulkan materi dari media sosial dan LMS dengan cara yang mudah dan menarik.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan game digital interaktif sebagai alat pembelajaran yang efektif bagi anak-anak di TK Muslimat Mazra'atul Ulum Paciran, Lamongan. Penelitian ini melibatkan 15 pendidik, 50 orang tua, dan 50 anak-anak, dengan fokus pada peningkatan kemampuan kognitif dan sosial anak-anak melalui penggunaan game. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa game digital interaktif dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah, logika, dan pengambilan keputusan, serta keterampilan sosial seperti komunikasi dan kerjasama. Sebanyak 80% pendidik melaporkan bahwa game ini mempermudah proses pengajaran dan dapat disesuaikan dengan tingkat kemampuan anak, sementara 85% orang tua menyatakan puas dengan penggunaan game sebagai alat pembelajaran, meskipun mereka menekankan pentingnya pengawasan yang baik. Selain itu, anak-anak yang menggunakan game ini menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 15-20% dalam aspek perkembangan kognitif dan sosial emosional. Tantangan yang dihadapi meliputi kebutuhan akan pelatihan lebih lanjut bagi pendidik dan peningkatan infrastruktur teknologi di sekolah. Oleh karena itu, direkomendasikan untuk mengadakan program pelatihan berkelanjutan dan investasi dalam teknologi pendidikan untuk mendukung penggunaan game digital yang efektif dalam proses pembelajaran.Abstract. This community service project aims to develop and implement interactive digital games as effective learning tools for children at TK Muslimat Mazra'atul Ulum Paciran, Lamongan. The study involved 15 educators, 50 parents, and 50 children, focusing on enhancing children's cognitive and social abilities through the use of games. The findings indicate that interactive digital games can improve problem-solving skills, logic, decision-making, as well as social skills such as communication and cooperation. A total of 80% of educators reported that the games facilitated the teaching process and could be adjusted to match the children’s abilities, while 85% of parents expressed satisfaction with the use of games as educational tools, although they emphasized the importance of proper supervision. Additionally, children who used these games showed an average improvement of 15-20% in cognitive and socio-emotional development. The challenges encountered included the need for further training for educators and the improvement of technological infrastructure in schools. Therefore, it is recommended to implement ongoing training programs and invest in educational technology to support the effective use of digital games in the learning process.

Guru SD dengan TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge). Instruksi online tersedia untuk siapa saja yang terkena dampak epidemi COVID-19. Guru harus mempelajari TPACK agar dapat secara efektif memasukkan teknologi ke dalam kelas. Anda juga dapat menggunakan sway.com untuk menonton video pelatihan sway.com, yang dapat diakses secara online. Proses pembelajaran online di SDN Bantaran 3 Kabupaten Probolinggo memiliki banyak kendala, menurut pengamatan yang dilakukan di sana: 1) proses pembelajaran hanya menggunakan grup Whatsapp, 2) pemahaman guru tentang platform pembelajaran online masih terbatas, dan 3) kapasitas guru untuk menangani teknologi masih kurang memadai. Guru di SDN Bantaran 3 Kabupaten Probolinggo akan mempelajari cara menggunakan fungsi goyang Microsoft Office365 sebagai akibat dari masalah ini. Ceramah dan diskusi, praktek, dan refleksi dan tindak lanjut adalah tiga teknik utama untuk menempatkan instruksi ke dalam tindakan. Komputer laptop dan akses ke internet adalah peralatan penting untuk kursus ini. Pendekatan yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang muncul di lapangan, misalnya dengan menambah jumlah koneksi internet yang tersedia ke jaringan. Pelaksanaannya berlangsung selama dua hari, 29 Mei dan 5 Juni 2021. Menurut temuan PPM, guru sudah bisa menggunakan sway untuk membuat materi edukasi bagi murid-muridnya.

Abstract

This study explores the role of educational games in developing conflict resolution skills among children aged 6 to 8, a critical period for social and emotional development. Utilizing a qualitative research design and an exploratory case study approach, the research was conducted in two educational institutions in X, Indonesia, involving 60 children from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. This diversity provided insights into how educational games affect children with varying levels of social experience and resource access. Data collection methods included observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. Findings indicate that educational games significantly enhance conflict resolution skills by improving communication, empathy, teamwork, and self-regulation. Children demonstrated increased impulse control and thoughtful responses during game-related conflicts, as reported by teachers and parents. These improvements align with Vygotsky's theory of social development, highlighting the importance of structured play in cognitive and social growth. The study concludes that educational games offer a dynamic platform for practicing conflict resolution, thereby fostering children's social and emotional development. Recommendations for educators include integrating a variety of cooperative and role-playing games into curricula and conducting regular debriefing sessions to reinforce learning. This research underscores the broad applicability of educational games in diverse contexts, supporting their integration into educational settings to equip children with essential life skills.

Abstract

This research is entitled Improving the Learning Outcomes of Class V Students on 3M Material (Reducing, Reusing and Recycling Waste) by Applying the Cooperative Role Playing Model. This research is motivated by student learning outcomes which are still below the KKM in Indonesian language subjects and teachers who teach do not use a variety of models in learning.This research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method using steps consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection in each cycle. This research was carried out in 2 cycles.The conclusion obtained from this research is that the use of a Role Playing type cooperative model can improve the learning outcomes of class V students in chapter VIII love the earth. Thus, the use of this model can be used as a learning model to be applied to Indonesian language learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students' lack of interest in reading in learning Indonesian. As a solution, this study applies the KWL (Know-Want-Learn) learning model in Indonesian language learning in class IV SDN Kertajaya IV Surabaya. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the KWL (Know-Want-Learn) technique influences the reading interest of fourth grade students at SDN Kertajaya IV in Surabaya in learning Indonesian. This study is based on the KWL learning paradigm, which requires three main learning activities: students' active participation before reading, understanding the text when it is read, and the ability to draw conclusions. This study used a questionnaire, pretest, and posttest to evaluate the impact of the KWL learning approach on reading ability. The average score obtained by students in the pretest was 64, while the average score they received in the posttest was 82. Therefore, the demands of mastery learning depend on the effectiveness of the KWL learning approach.
