Abstract

This study aims to develop an early detection system for brain tumors using MRI images with a Deep Convolutional Neural Network (DCNN) based on the ResNet152V2 architecture. Rapid detection of brain tumors is crucial for improving recovery chances; however, manual processes often face challenges due to limitations in technology and medical expertise. Therefore, this research offers an automated solution for analyzing MRI images. The methods used include data collection from public datasets, image preprocessing, and training the DCNN model. The ResNet152V2 model was chosen for its ability to address the vanishing gradient problem and its effectiveness in feature extraction. The results show that the model achieved an accuracy of 92.38% in classifying four types of brain tumors: Meningioma, Glioma, Pituitary, and No Tumor. Evaluation using a confusion matrix and classification report indicates good performance. This research is expected to contribute to the early diagnosis of brain tumors and serve as a reference for future studies in the application of artificial intelligence in the medical field.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how firm value is influenced by green accounting, environmental performance, Corporate Social Responsibility, firm size, and profitability. The research method used is a multiple linear regression analysis approach. The testing process included panel data regression model tests (Chow test, Hausman test, Lagrange multiplier test), classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, heteroskedasticity, autocorrelation), and hypothesis tests (F-test, t-test, R² test). The research data was sourced from secondary data in annual reports and sustainability reports of mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2020-2024. The analysis results show that the variables of green accounting, company size, and profitability have a negative and significant effect on company value. Meanwhile, the variables of environmental performance and CSR do not affect company value. Simultaneously, all five variables were found to influence firm value, with an Adjusted R-Square contribution of 22%. This finding confirms that increases in firm value are not solely determined by sustainability commitments or asset size.

Abstract

In addition to intensive medical care, the condition of critically ill patients also significantly impacts the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual well-being of accompanying family members. Limited access to information, strict visitation rules, and the high-pressure ICU environment often lead to anxiety, stress, and fatigue among family members. This phenomenon highlights the need for a deeper understanding of the needs and experiences of families as caregivers. This study aims to explore the needs and experiences of families of critically ill patients being treated in the ICU of Hospital X in Batam. This study was conducted using a qualitative approach. The research design applied was phenomenology. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, designed in a semi-structured format to allow flexibility in responses. Data were obtained from five participants who were included in this study, selected through the convenience sampling technique. The data analysis process was carried out using thematic analysis. This study identified five main themes. First, Family Sacrifice and Responsibility. Second, The Physical and Emotional Burden of ICU Patient Families. Third, The Meaning of Prayer and Hope in Facing Critical Care. Fourth, The Essence of Togetherness in Patient Care. Fifth, Family Experiences with Hospital Services and Facilities. The study concludes that caregivers experience substantial physical and emotional burdens, yet continue to show deep concern and responsibility. Spiritual support, togetherness, and hospital services significantly shape their overall experience during the care process. Recommendations for Hospitals: Hospitals should provide emotional and educational support for families. Effective communication by healthcare professionals and flexible visitation policies can enhance families' comfort and trust as they accompany and support their loved ones.  Keywords: Intensive Care Unit; family care giver; human needs; phenomenology; holistic care.   In addition to intensive medical care, the condition of critically ill patients also significantly impacts the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual well-being of accompanying family members. Abstract

The Smart Village (Smart Kampung) Program in Banyuwangi Regency a local government innovation aimed at enhancing the quality of village-based public services through the utilization of information technology. This article seeks to analyze the implementation of the Smart Kampung Program as a collaborative governance practice involving local government, village government, communities, and non-governmental organizations within a public policy network. Employing a qualitative-descriptive approach, this study draws on literature review and analysis of policy documents relevant to the implementation of Smart Kampung in Banyuwangi Regency. The analysis is conducted using a collaborative governance framework to examine collaborative dynamics, actor capacities, and stakeholder relationships. The findings indicate that the Smart Kampung Program has established a multi-actor collaborative network and facilitated a repositioning of the local government's role as a facilitator. Nevertheless, the quality of collaboration has not yet reached a fully substantive level, as it continues to be constrained by disparities in human resource capacity, limitations in technological infrastructure, and low levels of community participation. This article underscores the importance of strengthening collaborative governance in order for Smart Kampung to sustainably generate village-based public value.

Abstract

Groundwater is a vital water source for many communities, especially in rural areas, but its quality often fails to meet clean water standards due to contaminants such as heavy metals, organic compounds, and unsuitable pH, TDS, and EC levels. This study examines an integrated water treatment system combining adsorption and ultrafiltration technologies. The process begins with adsorption using zeolite and coral ginger stone to remove contaminants through ion exchange and Van der Waals interactions. The pre-treated water is then filtered through an ultrafiltration membrane to eliminate suspended solids and microorganisms based on pore size exclusion. The novelty of this study lies in the variation of adsorbent compositions, namely 100 g zeolite, 100 g coral ginger stone, and a 50:50 g mixture. Results indicate that the 50:50 combination provides the highest efficiency in improving groundwater quality. Under optimal conditions, TDS decreased to 38 ppm, EC to 76 µS/cm, temperature reached 29.8 °C, and pH approached neutral at 6.28, meeting clean water standards.

Abstract

The problem in this research is that the manual signature verification process is still widely used. However, this method is prone to human error and is highly subjective, so its accuracy in distinguishing genuine and fake signatures is not optimal. The pattern recognition extraction process in signatures uses the Alexnet algorithm. This study uses a digital signature image dataset consisting of two classes, with 90 images per class. Furthermore, the signature pattern recognition extraction process based on digital images can be performed using the Alexnet model. The purpose of this paper is to help classify signature types, which can facilitate the medical treatment process. The analysis uses deep learning with Python tools. Explicitly, the total sample size in Figure "Distribution of Classes in Training, Validation, and Testing Data" (image_98f1fc.png) shows that the number of samples for the 'full_forg' class is fewer than for the 'full_org' class. Although the model performs very well on the minority class, the presence of perfect recall for the 'full_org' class will be interesting to observe.
