Abstract

The Smart Village (Smart Kampung) Program in Banyuwangi Regency a local government innovation aimed at enhancing the quality of village-based public services through the utilization of information technology. This article seeks to analyze the implementation of the Smart Kampung Program as a collaborative governance practice involving local government, village government, communities, and non-governmental organizations within a public policy network. Employing a qualitative-descriptive approach, this study draws on literature review and analysis of policy documents relevant to the implementation of Smart Kampung in Banyuwangi Regency. The analysis is conducted using a collaborative governance framework to examine collaborative dynamics, actor capacities, and stakeholder relationships. The findings indicate that the Smart Kampung Program has established a multi-actor collaborative network and facilitated a repositioning of the local government's role as a facilitator. Nevertheless, the quality of collaboration has not yet reached a fully substantive level, as it continues to be constrained by disparities in human resource capacity, limitations in technological infrastructure, and low levels of community participation. This article underscores the importance of strengthening collaborative governance in order for Smart Kampung to sustainably generate village-based public value.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of employee engagement and work compliance on organizational commitment through effort reward imbalance as a mediating variable in healthcare workers at Harapan Sehat Hospital, Slawi. The research method used is a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The research sample consisted of 92 respondents taken using proportional sampling technique with the Slovin formula from a total population of 120 healthcare workers. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the help of SmartPLS to test the relationship between variables and the mediating effect. The results showed that employee engagement and work compliance have a positive and significant effect on effort reward imbalance, and each of these variables also has a direct effect on organizational commitment. In addition, effort reward imbalance was proven to be able to significantly mediate the influence of employee engagement and work compliance on organizational commitment. The conclusion is that increasing employee engagement and work compliance can strengthen the organizational commitment of healthcare workers, both directly and through the mechanism of effort reward imbalance as a mediating variable.   Keywords: Employee Engagement, Work Compliance, Effort Reward Imbalance

Abstract

Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) are a smart transportation solution that is increasingly being used in industry. The stability and strength of the chassis are critical factors in ensuring AGV performance when carrying loads. This study examines the effects of load variations and material types on the structural performance of AGV chassis through an experimental approach and numerical simulation based on Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The materials used were ASTM A36 and ASTM A500, with loads of 5 kg, 10 kg, and 15 kg. A chassis design with dimensions of 400 × 300 × 80 mm was modeled and analyzed using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software. Validation was performed through experimental testing using a dial indicator. The results show that at a 15 kg load, ASTM A500 experienced a maximum stress of 60.15 MPa and a deflection of 0.00078 m, lower than ASTM A36, which reached 68.06 MPa and a deflection of 0.00089 m. The difference between the simulation and experimental results was well below 10%. Similarly, regarding the safety factor, ASTM A500 has a value of 2.7145 at maximum load, indicating that this material has a higher safety margin compared to ASTM A36. Based on these results, ASTM A500 is considered more efficient and stable, and is more recommended for AGV chassis applications. This study highlights the importance of integrating numerical and experimental methods to produce optimal structural designs.

Abstract

Groundwater is a vital water source for many communities, especially in rural areas, but its quality often fails to meet clean water standards due to contaminants such as heavy metals, organic compounds, and unsuitable pH, TDS, and EC levels. This study examines an integrated water treatment system combining adsorption and ultrafiltration technologies. The process begins with adsorption using zeolite and coral ginger stone to remove contaminants through ion exchange and Van der Waals interactions. The pre-treated water is then filtered through an ultrafiltration membrane to eliminate suspended solids and microorganisms based on pore size exclusion. The novelty of this study lies in the variation of adsorbent compositions, namely 100 g zeolite, 100 g coral ginger stone, and a 50:50 g mixture. Results indicate that the 50:50 combination provides the highest efficiency in improving groundwater quality. Under optimal conditions, TDS decreased to 38 ppm, EC to 76 µS/cm, temperature reached 29.8 °C, and pH approached neutral at 6.28, meeting clean water standards.

Abstract

Abstract The complexity of family responsibilities in the modern era has increased due to social, economic, and cultural changes. Individuals are expected not only to meet economic needs but also to provide emotional support to family members, resulting in increasingly complex role burdens. This phenomenon is also represented in the media, particularly in films, through symbols and narratives that reflect the social reality of society. The film *1 Kakak 7 Ponakan* serves as an example illustrating these dynamics through a character who bears dual responsibilities within the family. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of family responsibilities in the film *1 Kakak 7 Ponakan* using John Fiske’s Semiotic Theory. The research method is qualitative, specifically  descriptive-analytical. The study focuses on the film 1 Kakak 7 Ponakan, employing purposive sampling to select relevant scenes. Data collection was conducted through documentation by repeatedly watching the film, followed by analysis using John Fiske’s semiotics across three levels: reality, representation, and ideology. The results of this study indicate that Fiske’s three levels of semiotics (reality, representation, ideology) can be systematically operationalized to uncover the meaning of family responsibility that is not explicitly stated. This study demonstrates that the ideological level not only functions as a reflection of dominant values but can also contain implicit criticism of unequal social structures and gender relations. This enriches the theoretical discourse by showing that Fiske’s semiotics is not value-neutral but can be used as a tool for cultural criticism. Abstrak Kompleksitas tanggung jawab keluarga di era modern semakin meningkat akibat perubahan sosial, ekonomi, dan budaya. Individu dituntut tidak hanya memenuhi kebutuhan ekonomi, tetapi jugamemberikan dukungan emosional bagi anggota keluarga, sehingga memunculkan beban peran yang semakin kompleks. Fenomena ini turut direpresentasikan dalam media, khususnya film, melalui simbol dan narasi yang mencerminkan realitas sosial masyarakat. Film 1 Kakak 7 Ponakan menjadi salah satu contoh yang menggambarkan dinamika tersebut melalui tokoh yang memikul tanggung jawab ganda dalam keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fenomena tanggung jawab keluarga dalam Film 1 Kakak 7 Ponakan menggunakan Teori Semiotika John Fiske. Metode penelitian ini ialah kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif analitis. Penelitian berfokus pada Film 1 Kakak  7 Ponakan dengan teknik purposive sampling dalam memilih adegan yang relevan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi dengan menonton film secara berulang, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan semiotika John Fiske melalui tiga level, yaitu realitas, representasi, dan ideologi. Hasil penelitian ini ialah bahwa ketiga level semiotika Fiske (realitas, representasi, ideologi) dapat dioperasionalisasikan secara sistematis untuk mengungkap makna tanggung jawab keluarga yang tidak tampak secara eksplisit. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa level ideologi tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai cerminan nilai dominan, tetapi juga dapat memuat kritik implisit terhadap struktur sosial dan relasi gender yang timpang. Hal ini memperkaya diskursus teoretis bahwa semiotika Fiske tidak bersifat netral secara nilai, melainkan dapat digunakan sebagai alat kritik budaya.
