Abstract

Penggunaan modul pembelajaran pada tahap proses pembelajaran akan sangat membantu keefektivan proses pembelajaran dan penyampaian pesan dan materi fisika yang akan disampaiakan.  modul juga dapat membantu siswa meningkatkan pemahaman, menyajikan yang menarik, memudahkan penafsiran, dan menambah informasi baru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh modul fisika berbasis sains teknologi masyarakat terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Eksperimen dengan pretest-posttest control  (rancangan tes awal-tes akhir kelompok kontrol). Jenis data yang diperoleh merupakan data kuantitatif dalam bentuk skala interval didasarkan pada hasil eksperimen di dalam kelas, hasil eksperimen tersebut berupa hasil belajar mahasiswa dan merupakan hasil dari perhitungan nilai pre-test dan post-test yang dinyatakan dalam Ngain skor.  Ngain untuk penilaian kognitif siswa didapat Ngain 0,7, sdangkan untuk penilaian ketrampilan siswa di dapat rata-rata Ngain sebesar 0,35 dan penilaian sikap siswa sebesar 0,38. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul fisika berbasis sains teknologi masyarakat dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa Adanya peningkatan hasil belajar tersebut disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang menggunakan modul pembelajaran fisika berbasis sains teknologi masyarakat, langkah langkah atau tahapan-tahapan dalam pelaksanaan pembelajarannya telah tersusun dan terlaksana dengan baik.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini difokuskan: 1. Strategi apa saja yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di SMPN 4 Ketapang. 2. Faktor apa saja yang menjadi kendala dan pendukung dalam peningkatan profesionalisme guru di SMPN4 Ketapang. 3. Upaya yang dilakukan kepala sekolah dalam menangani faktor kendala peningkatan profesionalisme guru di SMPN 4 Ketapang Kabupaten Ketapang. Metode penelitian yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan kualitatif dengan metode pengambilan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka peneliti memberikan saran-saran kepada Kepala sekolah agar tetap berpegang teguh dalam melaksanakan peran kepemimpinannya sebagaimana yang telah dikembangkannya sekarang ini, peningkatan kinerja tenaga pendidik secara terus menerus diupayakan dengan semangat kekeluargaan, kebersamaan, dan keteladanan karena tercapainya tujuan pendidikan yang baik sangat tergantung dari hasil kerja dari para tenaga pendidik. Para tenaga pendidik agar senantiasa meningkatkan disiplin dan menunjukkan etoskerja yang maksimal agar permasalahan-permasalahan yang dihadapi tidak dijadikan alasan untuk berkinerja yang rendah. Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Ketapang diharapkan dalam melaksanakan rekrutmen kepala sekolah agar lebih didasarkan pada prosedur dan peraturan yang sesuai dengan peraturan perundang-undangan yakni harus memenuhi persyaratan-persyaratan administrasi seperti kepangkatan, masa kerja, berkedudukan sebagai tenaga fungsional, berlatar belakang pendidikan, berpengalaman, berkelakuan baik, dan loyal terhadap negara Indonesia.Kata Kunci: Meningkatkan, Kinerja Guru, Studi Kasus, Upaya Kepala Sekolah.

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to implementation constructivism approach through CLIS (Children Learning In Science) learning model and its immpact toward students’ learning activities and cognitive ability. This action resesarch was analyzed by descriptive quantitative. Research subjects is students in 11th grade in the academic year 2013/2014 in the static fluid material. The data of this research from observation technique when learning process and cognitive test in the end of learning. Students’ learning activities in this research consist of visual activities, oral activities dan writing activities that described into many indicators, whereas cognitive test uses multiple choice instrument that has been properness analyzed. Based on research result and data analysis get result as follows: 1) The value of normalization in visual activities is 0,78 (high), oral activities is 0,31 (adequate), writing activities is 0,49 (adequate); 2) The increase of average achievement of students’ cognitive ability based on gain normalization is 0,32 (adequate) after learning with constructivism approach through CLIS (Children Learning In Science) model. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplemantasikan pendekatan konstruktivisme melalui model pembelajaran CLIS (Children Learning In Science) dan pengaruhnya terhadap aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan kognitif siswa. Penelitian tindakan ini dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI pada tahun ajaran 2013/2014 pada materi fluida statis. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil observasi selama proses pembelajaran dan hasil tes kognitif pada akhir pembelajaran. Aktivitas belajar siswa pada penelitian ini terdiri dari visual activities, oral activities dan writing activities yang dijabarkan menjadi beberapa indikator, sedangkan tes kognitif siswa menggunakan instrumen pilihan ganda yang telah dianalisis kelayakannya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: 1) Nilai gain ternormalisasi pada visual activities sebesar 0,78 (tinggi); oral activities sebesar 0,31 (sedang); writing activities sebesar 0,49 (sedang); 2) Peningkatan rata-rata nilai ketuntasan kemampuan kognitif siswa berdasarkan nilai gain ternormalisasi sebesar 0,32 (sedang) setelah pembelajaran dengan mengimplementasi pendekatan konstruktivisme melalui model CLIS (Children Learning In Science). Kata-kata Kunci: Aktivitas belajar, Children Learning In Science, kemampuan kognitif.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the constantant value of a spring. This research was an experimental research consisting of several stages of preparation, determining independent and dependent variables, conducting experiments, analyzing and concluding. This research used a simple material that was solid beam with a length of 3.5 cm, width of 3.5 cm, height 4.5 cm and mass of 300 g, two types liquid of water and cooking oil, one spring to be calculated the value of spring constantant. The results showed that the volume of dyed objects was inversely proportional to the increase of the length of the spring and the density of the liquid type affected the magnitude of increase in the length of the spring. The constantant value of the spring in water was 21.43 N/m and the spring constantant value of cooking oil was 21,27 N/m. These results can be used as a proof of the truth of equations that combine the concepts of Hooke's law and Archimedes' Law. It can then be used as an alternative to investigating the value of spring constantant k in addition to Hooke's law experiments and simple harmonic motion.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the initial profile of the creative thinking ability of junior high school students in science by gender. This research is a quantitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through giving open-ended tests based on creative thinking indicators that have been validated by expert and testing the validity of items using the Karl Person product moment correlation coefficient formula. Reliability testing using the Alpha formula. The sample in this study were 5 classes from SMP Negeri 15 Surakarta with a total of 150 students consisting of 75 female students and 75 male students. The results of this study indicate that the pattern of creative thinking abilities of Junior High School students varies by gender based on the four indicators of Fluency, Flexibility, Originality, Elaboration. Based on data analysis, it shows that the creative thinking ability of female students is higher than that of male students.

Abstract

This research aim was to find out the interaction between Problem Based Learning with experimental and project methods with thinking skill toward student’s cognitive learning outcomes. This research was held in SMP A on second semester of 2017/2018. The type of this research was experimental research. This research’s subject was 55 7th grade students, determined with the cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected using test technique. Analysis technique was using quantitative analysis with two-way analysis of variance. Based on the results, in the first hypothesis the result means that there was difference between the student’s cognitive learning achievement with Problem Based Learning with the project method and experimental method. In the second hypothesis, the result means that there was difference between student’s cognitive learning achievement which have higher order thinking skill and lower order thinking skill. In the third hypothesis, the result means no interaction between Problem Based Learning with experimental method and project method with thinking skill toward student’s cognitive learning achievement.

Abstract

ANALISIS KETERAMPILAN KOMUNIKASI TERTULIS SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN ILMU PENGETAHUAN ALAM (IPA) BERDASARKAN GENDER DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH DI WILAYAH TANGERANG SELATAN AbstrakKeterampilan komunikasi tulisan merupakan keterampilan yang sangat penting didalam era globalisasi dan termasuk kedalam salah satu keterampilan belajar abad 21 yang harus diberdayakan dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk komunikasi tulisan peserta didik secara real di sekolah berdasarkan gender. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 186 orang dengan rincian 88 orang laki-laki dan 98 orang perempuan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kuatitatif. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Data yang didapatkan kemudian dianalisis secara kuantitatif sehingga didapatkan nilai keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang terlalu besar antara nilai keterampilan komunikasi tulisan peserta didik laki-laki dan perempuan. Masing-masing gender(laki-laki dan perempuan) mendapatkan rata-rata nilai 1,44 dan 1,45, namun keduanya masih masuk kedalam kategori nilai huruf D+. Nilai keterampilan komunikasi tulisan peserta didik masih relative rendah dengan nilai rata-rata 1,44 (D+). Hasil ini masih jauh dibawah standar pemerintah dalam Permendikbud No. 104 tahun 2014 yaitu 2,67 (B-) untuk aspek keterampilan. Hal tersebut mengindikasikan perlu ditingkatkannya pelatihan keterampilan komunikasi didalam pembelajaran.AbstractWritten communication skills are essential for the globalization era, and it is one of the 21st-century skills that must be empowered in learning. This study aimed to determine the profile of learners’ written communication skills in real terms by gender. The subjects in this study were 186 students, consisted of 88 male and 98 female students in detail. The method used in this research was a descriptive-quantitative research method. The research instrument used was an observation sheet and the form of an interview. The data obtained were then analyzed quantitatively so that the value of the students’ communication skills was appropriately obtained. The results of the study had found that there were not too differences in the mean values of male and female written communication skills. Each of them got an average score of 1.44 and 1.45, but both are still in the D+ category of value. The value of the students’ written communication skills was still relatively low, with a value of 1.44, interpreted as a D+ category. The results were far below government standards as regulated in the Minister of Education and Culture No. 104 of 2014, which is equal to 2.67 (B-). Further study is needed to improve training in students’ written communication skills in learning.

Abstract

THE DEVELOPMENT OF INQUIRY LESSON-BASED SCIENCE MODULE IN WORK AND SIMPLE MACHINE MATERIAL TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ SCIENTIFIC CREATIVITY  AbstractThis research aimed to: 1) develop inquiry lesson-based science modules to improve student’s scientific creativity, 2) determine the feasibility of an inquiry lesson-based science module and 3) find out the effectiveness of inquiry lesson-based science modules to improve students’ scientific creativity. The science module material developed is work and simple machines. The module learning steps are arranged according to the inquiry lesson syntax and students’ scientific creativity indicators. The type of research is research and development (RnD) used Borg and Gall procedure that modified into 9 stages: 1) research and information collection, 2) planning, 3) initial product development, 4) initial field trial, 5) initial product revisions, 6) small-scale trial, 7) second product revisions, 8) operational field trial and 9) final product revisions. Characteristics of the module analyzed using descriptive analysis, module feasibility analyzed based on criteria scores and the module effectiveness analyzed using N-gain score. The result showed that: 1) inquiry lesson-based module has been successfully developed with characteristics according to the inquiry lesson models to improve students’ scientific creativity, 2) inquiry lesson-based module was very feasible used in learning process, 3) inquiry lesson-based module was effective in improving students’ scientific creativity with N-gain score of 0,55.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengembangkan modul IPA berbasis inquiry lesson untuk meningkatkan kreativitas ilmiah siswa, 2) mengetahui kelayakan modul IPA berbasis inquiry lesson, 3) mengetahui keefektifan modul IPA berbasis inquiry lesson untuk meningkatkan kreativitas ilmiah siswa. Modul yang dikembangkan yaitu materi Usaha dan Pesawat. Langkah-langkah pembelajaran pada modul disusun sesuai sintak inquiry lesson dan diintegrasikan dengan indikator kreativitas ilmiah siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan  (RnD) menggunakan model pengembangan Borg and Gall yang dimodifikasi menjadi 9 tahap meliputi: 1) penelitian pendahuluan dan pengumpulan informasi, 2) perencanaan, 3) pengembangan produk awal, 4) uji coba awal, 5) revisi produk awal, 6) uji coba terbatas, 7) revisi produk kedua, 8) uji coba lapangan operasional, 9) revisi produk akhir. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik modul, analisis kelayakan modul berdasarkan skor kriteria, analisis keefektifan modul untuk meningkatkan kreativitas ilmiah siswa berdasarkan skor N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) modul IPA pada materi usaha dan pesawat sederhana telah berhasil dikembangkan dengan karakteristik sesuai model inquiry lesson untuk meningkatkan kreativitas ilmiah siswa, 2) modul IPA berbasis inquiry lesson sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran, 3) modul IPA berbasis inquiry lesson efektif meningkatkan kreativitas ilmiah siswa dengan skor N-gain sebesar 0,55.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan modul IPA berbasis inquiry terbimbing dengan penekanan berpikir kritis pada tema sifat dan perubahan fisika zat. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan Model R & D model siklus 4-D yang dikemukakan oleh Thiagarajan. Sampel penelitian yaitu kelas VII SMP. Teknik Analisis penelitian yaitu analisis digunakan adalah deskriptif, analisis kelayakan modul berdasarkan skor kriteria, dan analisis tes kemampuan berpikir dengan uji t-paired sampel dan pretes-postest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul IPA Terpadu berbasis Inquiry Terbimbing efektif digunakan sebagai bahan ajar baru, keefektifan modul didasarkan atas hasil perhitungan N-gain yang ditinjau dari kenaikan hasil tes kognitif dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebesar 0,73 yang dikategorikan "Tinggi". Kata kunci: Modul IPA Terpadu, Inquiri Terbimbing, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed various aspects of human life today, especially in education, which requires all elements of education to keep the classroom active, even though it is done online. For this reason, this study aims to determine the effect of applying scientific-based electronic natural science modules to improve learning outcomes in aspects of students' knowledge of vibration and wave material. The method used was an experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The data collection instrument employed was multiple-choice test questions totaling 20 items. The sample in this study consisted of 30 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the control class. The data analysis utilized was in the Mann-Whitney U test to determine the differences in the mean posttest score between the experimental and control classes. The results revealed that the learning outcomes of the knowledge aspect in the experimental class were better than the control class. Based on the descriptive analysis results, the mean posttest score of the experimental class was higher than the control class, and the Mann-Whitney U test results were 0.000; thus, H0 was rejected, and H1 was accepted. In addition, the application of scientific-based electronic natural science modules improves the learning outcomes of students' knowledge aspects better.
