Abstract

Addressing global challenges requires a strong focus on environmental sustainability within educational institutions. This research aims to analyze the project outcome and student’s responses of Renewable Energy STEAM Kit. The study involved 31 students who participated in the learning project using Renewable Energy STEAM Kit. Data was collected through observation to assess the project outcome of learning activities, and survey & interview to gather student’s responses about their experiences from learning activities using Renewable Energy STEAM Kit. Data processing utilized descriptive quantitative methodologies to derive significant insights from the provided data. According to the result, 96.8% of students agreed and strongly agreed that the Renewable Energy STEAM Kit is easy to use, interest, flexible, benefit, and relevant. Only 3.2% of students that disagreed about that statement. The results of this study can be concluded that Renewable Energy STEAM Kit's success in being user-friendly, engaging, flexible, beneficial, and relevant to students' educational experiences and future aspirations.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is an essential competency in 21st-century education, particularly in vocational schools where students are expected to apply scientific knowledge in real-life and professional contexts. This study aimed to develop an interactive e-book module to enhance students' scientific literacy on the topic of Living Organisms and the Environment by integrating batik ecoprint as a contextual learning medium. The novelty of this research lies in positioning batik ecoprint not merely as a practical skill activity but as a systematic scientific context within digital-based vocational learning. The study employed a Research and Development approach using the 4-D model, consisting of the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The e-book flipbook module was validated by experts in content, media, language, and instructional design using the Content Validity Index (CVI). Its effectiveness was examined using a quasi-experimental one-group pre-test–post-test design across three Grade X vocational school classes. Data were analyzed using N-Gain. The results indicate that the developed e-book flipbook demonstrates high feasibility and effectively improves students' scientific literacy at moderate to high levels, with N-Gain values ranging from 0.63 to 0.77. These findings confirm the effectiveness of integrating local cultural contexts into vocational science learning.

Abstract

Indonesian new Curriculum for senior high school students required student-centered learning. One of the curriculum implementation constraint was the difficulty of providing learning media. PhET simulations media is one of the options that can help implementation of new curriculum on learning. However, the use of this media in Indonesia still needs to be studied comprehensively. The learning was conducted on students of physics education Study Program in sebelas maret university in 2013. The sample consisted of 62 students that was taking quantum physics course. The method that was used in the research was descriptive qualitative.  The method that was used in learning was demonstration’s method that used PhET media and accompanied by a question and answer and groups discussion. The data was collected using multiple choice test and interview through email. We found that any students still did not understand about photoelectric effect concept. They were confused when asked about the thick material and cross section of the targets as related with the regardless of electrons in the photoelectric effect event. Other than that, the concept of the waves as a particle and its relation with the kinetic energy of the electrons was not understood by most students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the science learning skills among students’ who follow contextual learning through project method with experiment method. The population of this research is the students’ of class VII MTS Negeri Miri Kab. Sragen on the teaching period of 2016/2017. Cluster random sampling technique is used as sample. This research was designed using contextual teaching through project method as an independent variable. The results of this Improvement show that there is a difference in the achievement of students' learning skill that follows contextual learning through the project method with the experimental method with Fobs = 8,83 and significant number 4,04 (p <0,05). Based on these findings contextual learning through the project is one of the learning methods that provide a positive influence on improving the achievement of science learning skills. This ain increase, because CTL is can help students’ understand the material by relating the problems that exist. Project methods are used by students’ in solving problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze of students' difficulties on the material elasticity and harmonic oscillation in the inquiry-based physics learning. It has eight stages. They are the orientation, the problem formulation, the formulation of hypotheses, the data obtaining, the testing hypotheses, conclusions, the implementation of the conclusions and generalizations, and the reflection stage. This research determines the student's learning difficulties on the each stage. The subject of this research is all of the students in X IPA 4 SMA N Sambungmacan Sragen. The amount of this research subject is thirty students. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data acquired with the learning process observation, the student's response questionnaire, and the student's cognitive tests. The results show that the student has difficulty in analyzing the elasticity and the force of deviation, speed, and acceleration concept, illustrates hooke law, and the matter's modulus elasticity. The difficult stages of the inquiry-based physics learning are the problem formulation, the formulation of hypotheses, the data obtaining, the testing hypotheses, conclusions, the implementation of the conclusions and generalizations, and the reflection stage.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan guna mengkaji berbagai literatur mengenai model inkuiri terbimbing sebagai solusi guna tingkatkan keahlian berpikir kritis IPA SMP Negeri 4 Mojokerto. Bersumber pada hasil yang diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dengan guru, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa masih terkategori rendah, dibuktikan dengan siswa yang pasif dalam memberikan jawaban dikala guru memberi pertanyaan. Masalah-masalah yang ada pada siswa membuat siswa menjadi kesulitan dalam menjelaskan uraian dasar, membangun keahlian dasar, merumuskan kesimpulan, membuat uraian lebih lanjut serta membuat strategi dan taktik, tidak hanya itu pada proses pembelajaran hanya mencermati penjelasan guru tanpa menghubungkan konsep-konsep yang dipelajari. Proses pembelajaran oleh guru sudah disesuaikan pada kurikulum 2013 yaitu pembelajaran discovery learning, namun pada kenyataannya guru hanya menjelaskan di depan kelas. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes wawancara untuk guru dan siswa kelas delapan SMP Negeri 4 Mojokerto. Metode yang digunakan yaitu studi literatur dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil studi literatur diperlukan pemecahan guna mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dengan mempraktikkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing.This study aims to examine various literature regarding the guided inquiry model as a solution to improve critical thinking skills in Science at SMP Negeri 4 Mojokerto. Based on the results obtained from interviews with teachers, students' critical thinking skills are still in the low category, evidenced by students who are passive in giving answers when the teacher gives questions. The problems that exist in students make it difficult for students to explain basic descriptions, build basic skills, formulate conclusions, make further descriptions and make strategies and tactics, not only that in the learning process only pay attention to the teacher's explanation without connecting the concepts being studied . The learning process by the teacher has been adapted to the 2013 curriculum, namely discovery learning, but in reality the teacher only explains it in front of the class. The instrument used was an interview test for teachers and eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Mojokerto. The method used is literature study and interviews. Based on the results of the literature study, a solution is needed to overcome these problems by practicing the guided inquiry learning model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menganalisis perbedaan pengaruh model problem based learning dengan pendekatan socioscientific issues terhadap penguasaan konsep sains; 2) menganalisis perbedaan pengaruh model problem based learning dengan pendekatan socioscientific issues terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis kuantitatif dengan metode quasi experiment. Populasi yang diteliti adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Sukoharjo tahun pelajaran 2024/2025. Teknik pemilihan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling sehingga didapatkan kelas VII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII E sebagai kelas kontrol. Desain penelitian ini yaitu pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes dan angket. Pemberian tes dilakukan dua kali melalui pemberian pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur penguasaan konsep sains sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Sedangkan pemberian angket juga demikian melalui pemberian angket awal dan angket akhir yang digunakan untuk mengukur keterampilan kolaborasi siswa sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Hipotesis penelitian diuji menggunakan uji independent sample t-test dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 menggunakan SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: 1) terdapat pengaruh model problem based learning dengan pendekatan socioscientific issues terhadap penguasaan konsep sains siswa dengan nilai signifikansi (0,001 < 0,05); dan 2) terdapat pengaruh model problem based learning dengan pendekatan socioscientific issues terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi siswa (0,027 < 0,05).This study aims to: 1) analyze the differences in the influence of the problem-based learning model with the socioscientific issues approach on mastery of science concepts; 2) analyze the differences in the influence of the problem-based learning model with the socioscientific issues approach on students' collaboration skills. This study is a quantitative type with a quasi-experimental method. The population studied were seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Sukoharjo in the 2024/2025 academic year. The sample selection technique used cluster random sampling so that class VII C was obtained as the experimental class and class VII E as the control class. The design of this study was a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group. Data collection techniques used test and questionnaire methods. The test was administered twice through the administration of a pretest and posttest to measure mastery of science concepts before and after treatment. While the administration of the questionnaire was also through the administration of an initial questionnaire and a final questionnaire used to measure students' collaboration skills before and after treatment. The research hypothesis was tested using an independent sample t-test with a significance level of 0.05 using SPSS version 26. The results of this study are: 1) there is an influence of the problem-based learning model with a socioscientific issues approach on students' mastery of science concepts with a significance value (0,001 < 0,05); and 2) there is an influence of the problem-based learning model with a socioscientific issues approach on students' collaboration skills (0,027 < 0,05).

Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kreatif merupakan keterampilan krusial yang dibutuhkan oleh generasi saat ini dalam menghadapi tantangan abad ke-21. Penelitian yang berfokus pada keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh RPP pembelajaran berbasis proyek sistem pernapasan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa. Desain penelitian pretest and posttest dengan kelompok kontrol non-equivalent. Perlakuan yang diberikan pada kelas eksperimen adalah penerapan RPP berbasis proyek sistem pernapasan, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan metode yang biasa digunakan oleh guru. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Kesimpulannya, RPP pembelajaran berbasis proyek sistem pernapasan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa.Creative thinking skills are the crucial skills required by nowadays generation in dealing with the 21st Century challenges. The researches focused on higher order thinking skills are still limited. This study aimed to analyze the effect of respiratory system project-based learning lesson plan on students’creative thinking skills. The research design was pretest and post-test with non-equivalent control group. The treatment given in experimental class was the implementation of respiratory system project-based learning lesson plan, while the control class was taught using common method used by the teachers.  The results of this study indicated that the students’ creative thinking skills in experimental class was significantly higher than the control class. In conclusion, respiratory system project-based learning lesson plan is effective in improving students’ creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan strategi Question Student Have (QSH) terhadap (1) keterampilan berpikir kritis (2) keterampilan argumentasi (3) keterampilan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan argumentasi siswa. Penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini merupakan seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 11 Surakarta pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik tes berupa soal keterampilan berpikir kritis dan soal keterampilan argumentasi. Analisis mengunakan uji MANOVA dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan strategi Question Student Have (QSH) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan hasil nilai signifikansi (0,00<0,05), berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan argumentasi dengan hasil nilai signifikansi (0,00<0,05), dan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan argumentasi dengan hasil nilai signifikansi (0,00<0,05).This study aims to analyze the effect of the discovery learning model with the Question Student Have (QSH) strategy on (1) critical thinking skills (2) argumentation skills (3) critical thinking skills and students' argumentation skills. This study is a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study was all students of class VII of SMP Negeri 11 Surakarta in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection was carried out using a test technique in the form of critical thinking skill and argumentation skill.The analysis used the MANOVA test with a significance level of 0.05. The results of the study showed that the discovery learning model with the Question Student Have (QSH) strategy had a significant effect on critical thinking ability with a significance value of (0.00 <0.05), a significant effect on argumentation ability with a significance value of (0.00 <0.05), and a significant effect on critical thinking ability and argumentation ability with a significance value of (0.00 <0.05).

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah karena keterbatasan bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran bagi siswa dan guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan karakteristik modul pembelajaran fisika berbasis Learning Cycle 5E, (2) mengetahui kelayakan modul, (3) mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan modul terhadap kemampuan berpikir analitis dan hasil belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4-D yang terdiri dari: (1) define, (2) design, (3) develop, dan (4) disseminate. Materi yang dikembangkan dalam modul adalah Fluida Statis yang diperuntukkan siswa SMA kelas XI IPA. Modul  yang dikembangkan divalidasi oleh ahli materi, ahli bahasa, ahli media, reviewer, dan peer review. Modul dikategorikan layak untuk implementasikan. Modul diujicobakan secara terbatas pada 12 siswa di SMA Negeri 2 Ngawi dan diperoleh hasil bahwa modul termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Baik” menurut siswa. Modul diujicoba dalam skala besar pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Ngawi. Data yang diperoleh yaitu data kemampuan berpikir analitis dan hasil belajar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pengembangan disimpulkan bahwa: (1) karakteristik modul fisika yang dikembangkan berupa modul cetak materi fluida statis yang berbasis Learning Cycle 5E dengan tahapan engage, explore, explain, elaborate, dan evaluate dengan memunculkan indikator kemampuan berpikir analitis dalam setiap tahapannya yaitu menginterpretasi informasi, menggunakan konsep dalam pemecahan masalah, membuat dan mengevaluasi kesimpulan, serta memberikan alasan setiap jawaban, (2) modul pembelajaran fisika berbasis Learning Cycle 5E yang dikembangkan layak karena memenuhi kriteria nilai kelayakan berdasarkan Cut Off Score yaitu sebesar 87,32%, respon guru dalam tahap penyebaran sebesar 84,00% dalam kategori sangat baik, dan hasil angket respon modul oleh siswa sebesar 80,62% dalam kategori sangat baik, (3)  modul pembelajaran fisika berbasis Learning Cycle 5E efektif dalam meningkatkan  kemampuan berpikir analitis serta ketercapaian ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa. Nilai rata-rata kemampuan berpikir analitis siswa sebesar 0,41 yang termasuk kategori “Sedang”. Sedangkan rata-rata ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa sebesar 87,50% meningkat melampaui KKM.
