Abstract

Lending plays a vital role for banks as a source of income from deposits or interest paid by debtors. This study aims to analyze the effect of policy interest rates and liquidity from the money supply on bank credit risk in Indonesia in the short and long term. This study uses the Autoregressive Distributed Lag method and the Granger Causality test as analytical tools. The data used are policy interest rates, total money supply, and total non-performing loans. The data period under study is 2017-2022. The study results show that in the short term, policy interest rates and the money supply negatively affect bank credit risk in Indonesia. However, in the long term, policy interest rates have a negative effect, and the money supply does not affect bank credit risk in Indonesia. Policy interest rates have a one-way causality relationship with bank credit risk. Meanwhile, bank credit risk has a one-way causality relationship to the money supply. This condition represents that policy interest rates can reduce bank credit risk in Indonesia. The Bank of Indonesia, as the monetary authority, needs to pay attention to fluctuations in policy interest rates and mitigate excess money supply so that credit risk does not increase.JEL Classification: F43, O11, P34How to Cite:Amalia, S. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the decisions of the Unaaha Religious Court in guaranteeing the rights of children and women after divorce and to examine the constraints of the panel of judges of the Unaaha Religious Court in guaranteeing the rights of women and children in case decisions. This research is a normative-empirical research. Data collection techniques and legal materials are document studies and interviews. While the process of data analysis is carried out in three steps, namely: first, identification of legal facts. secondly, examining or and seeking legal norms related to legal facts. Third, applying legal norms to legal facts. The results of this study show that: First, in the period from July 2021 to June 2022 the Unaaha Religious Court decided 493 divorce and divorce cases. Of the 493 cases that have been decided, only 22 cases involving the fulfillment of the rights of wives or children. Where the reasons for fulfilling these rights can be made into four (4) typologies. First, because it was requested in the convention as many as 12 cases. Second, because of an agreement in mediation in 8 cases. Third, because the posita of the application is 1 case. Fourth, because of the posita lawsuit of 1 case. From the four typologies it can be concluded that the judges have not exercised their rights ex-officio in order to fulfill the rights of women and children. Therefore, it can also be concluded that the judges have not fully implemented the Letter of the Director General of Badilag Number 1669/DJA/HK.00/5/2021 Concerning Guarantees for the Rights of Post-Divorce Women and Children. Second, the constraints faced by judges in fulfilling the rights of women and children in case decisions, namely: 1) the financial ability of the husband or father, 2) the ability of the parties in the evidentiary process, 3) the presence of the parties (wife or husband) in the trial , 4) there is no coordination and cooperation between the Religious Courts and related agencies in the case of parties who work as ASN/PNS.

Abstract

It has been observed that income inequality is an economic element that may impede a nation's economic development. In general, Indonesia's Gini ratio has remained low for nearly a decade, although one region, Yogyakarta Province, unexpectedly exceeds the national average. The provincial government of Yogyakarta must focus more on reducing income inequality. Therefore, this study employs the Poverty-Growth-Inequality Triangle model approach to investigate the complexity of income inequality in Yogyakarta Province. The data is collected from five cities in Yogyakarta Province from 2010 to 2021. For the quantitative study, a Simultaneous Equation Model analysis with three iterations of least squares is performed. The results indicate that there is no causal relationship between income inequality and economic growth or poverty. According to the model of income inequality, education and the district minimum wage have a significant impact on income inequality. Therefore, local governments are advocated to evaluate policies aimed at reducing income inequality through education system reform, equity in district minimum wage and economic growth, and efficiency in the utilization of income inequality-related funds.

Abstract

This paper aims to narrate the presence of elephants in the history of plantations in East Sumatra in the process of opening and building infrastructure. It used historical method with primary sources the photographs of the use and hunting of elephants in East Sumatra in the early 20th century, East Sumatra plantation archives from their opening until their development in the early 20th century, newspapers and the Staatsblad of 1924 and 1931. Elephants played an important role in the the process of land clearingand infrastructure development in plantations in East Sumatra, but in the second decade of the XX century, hunting of elephants was still carried out. At that time elephants were needed for development as well as for fun in the form of hunting. The Colonial Government passed laws on hunting and protecting wild animals to minimize them. Based on these facts, in the history of plantations in East Sumatra there are not only narratives of capitalism, coolies or social history that discuss social segregation, but there are also narratives about environmental history that expose changes in the landscape of East Sumatra and the exploitation of elephants.

Abstract

Efficiency and effectiveness in controlling crossbreeding are pivotal in yielding superior hybrid varieties with desired traits such as genetic purity and high productivity. Cytoplasmic Male Sterile (CMS) is a crucial component in hybrid variety assembly. This study aims to identify the genotypes that can induce male sterile lines based on genetic diversity and the level of pollen sterility in the prospective male sterile genotypes tested, consisting of seventeen genotypes. The research findings revealed that the genetic diversity among the seventeen observed male-sterile candidate genotypes tends to vary in quantitative traits. Among the quantitative traits, JHD14 exhibited indications of being a male sterility inducer compared to the other genotypes observed, demonstrating a value of 0.00 g in terms of pollen weight. This is further substantiated by the microscopic examination of JHD14 pollen grains, which displayed 100% sterility.
