Abstract

In the world of education, the direct impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is the closure of schools and the learning process is carried out online. School closures are carried out to reduce the mass spread of the virus and save the world of education from the loss of quality generations in the future. However, at the same time the development of information and communication technology (ICT) which is very fast and can be a problem solver becomes a solution that learning is guaranteed to take place through electronic learning models. On the other hand, there is anxiety among teachers, students, and parents. They must master ICT devices in the shortest possible time. These opportunities and challenges come together so that adaptability of all parties is needed. The question is how the opportunities and challenges of learning through electronic learning in Indonesia and how the implementation of Indonesian learning during the pandemic is associated with electronic learning. First, the challenges faced by teachers are the willingness to be technologically literate, online teaching materials, internet networks, the availability of laptops, devices, software, human resources of educators and technicians, ICT infrastructure, training support, electrical power support, ICT utilization policy support for learning, and limited sarpras in certain areas; The opportunities are ease of communication between teachers and students, structured and scheduled teaching materials, easy access to teaching materials and discussions in large quantities.  Second, electronic learning in the case of Indonesian learning illustrates that there are still many problems to be resolved related to the implementation of electronic learning.

Abstract

Islamic banking is an Islamic economic phenomenon that has become an alternative and increasingly popular with people around the world, including millennials. Not only to accommodate the interests of Muslims, but also to integrate personal interests and community benefits in a balanced form. Islamic banking in Indonesia is currently experiencing rapid development. As a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, Indonesia certainly has a very important role in building the Islamic economy. This can be used as a great opportunity by Bank Syariah Indonesia in optimizing its role to support the country's plan to develop Islamic finance in Indonesia. It can be seen that the number of customers at Bank Syariah Indonesia is still far from expectations when viewed from the large Muslim population in Indonesia. This indicates that there are still many Muslim residents in Indonesia who still do not use the services of Sharia Banks in Indonesia. This indicates that there are still many Muslim residents in Indonesia who still do not use the services of Sharia Banks in Indonesia. This can arise by several factors that are the reason why the Indonesian Muslim population is still reluctant to use the services of Bank Syariah Indonesia. The large gap between the Muslim population in Indonesia and the number of customers of Bank Syariah Indonesia is one of the attractions for researchers to conduct an analysis of the Factors Influencing Public Interest in Saving at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). Interest can be interpreted as an interest or tendency to choose what is desired. One example is the interest and tendency towards interest in saving, for example a religiously inclined person will choose Islamic banks over conventional banks because based on Islamic religious law which prohibits his people from transacting ribawi (interest). According to (crow & crow 1998) states that there are six that affect interest, namely: income factors, job stability factors, financial goal factors, risk avoidance factors, knowledge factors, social and cultural environmental factors. While the author in conducting this study used descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques used was to conduct structured interviews to the community with the help of research instruments in the form of mobile phone cameras as photo documentation and recordings during interviews with the people of Bandung City which at this time became a source of research information. The results obtained from research conducted by the author to the people of Bandung city resulted in income, risk avoidance / security factors and social and cultural environmental factors are factors for people interested in saving their money in Indonesian Islamic banks (BSI). Keywords: Bank Syariah Indonesia, community, Interest.

Abstract

In the digital era, social media serves not only as a medium for communication and entertainment but also as a potential tool for developing academic competencies such as critical reading. This study aims to examine the relationship between social media use and critical thinking ability in relation to university students’ critical reading skills in Yogyakarta. Employing a quantitative method with a correlational approach, the research involved a sample of 40 students selected through stratified random sampling. Data were gathered using questionnaires, critical thinking tests, and critical reading assessments, all validated through Cronbach’s Alpha. The findings revealed a significant correlation among social media use, critical thinking ability, and critical reading skills. Regression analysis indicated that critical thinking ability had a significant effect on critical reading skills, whereas the influence of social media use was less pronounced. However, simultaneous analysis demonstrated that social media use and critical thinking ability together contributed to the improvement of critical reading skills. These results highlight the dual role of social media as both a facilitator and a distraction in academic contexts. Educators are therefore encouraged to incorporate media literacy and critical thinking training to optimize the positive impact of social media on students’ learning processes.

Abstract

Abstract

The preparation of the School Work and Budget Plan at the primary school level is an important instrument in supporting the achievement of national education goals. This article aims to analyze the importance of preparing RKAS based on the actual needs of students and the challenges faced in its implementation. This research uses a literature study method with a descriptive analytical approach through a review of various literature sources, education regulations, and previous research results. The results showed that more than 60% of primary schools still prepare RKAS by copying the previous year's budget pattern without considering the development of students' needs and curriculum dynamics. This condition creates a gap between the needs-based planning principles mandated in the policy and the practices that occur in the field. This article recommends increasing the capacity of school principals through training in needs analysis-based RKAS preparation, strengthening monitoring and evaluation of budget implementation, and optimizing school community participation with the support of simple technology. With more data-based planning and real needs, RKAS can become a strategic instrument to improve the quality of learning and primary school management in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Gender equality education in literature learning is becoming increasingly significant due to the growing awareness. Gender equality education in literature learning has become increasingly important due to the growing awareness of gender stereotypes and biases within educational settings. This article examines how Serat Candrarini, as a classical Javanese literary text, represents gender relations through patterns of binary opposition and explores its implications for gender-equitable education. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method using content analysis and a feminist deconstruction approach. The findings indicate that gender relations in the text are constructed through oppositions such as active–passive, high–low, and rational–emotional, positioning women in a subordinate role. However, the text also reveals small spaces that allow for critical readings of patriarchal values. These findings underscore the importance of reflective literature learning that fosters shifts in perspectives toward gender equality. Integrating gender perspectives into the curriculum and teaching methods is an essential step in cultivating awareness of educational equality. Further research is recommended to explore other traditional texts and to develop practical, gender-based literacy learning modules.

Abstract

Every student possesses innate intelligences that influence their learning potential. Linguistic intelligence, in particular, plays a key role in developing narrative writing skills. This study investigates the effectiveness of linguistic intelligence in enhancing narrative writing among seventh-grade students and explores the challenges faced by both students and teachers during the learning process. This experimental study was conducted at State Middle School 13 Tarakan, North Kalimantan, Indonesia. The subjects consisted of two seventh-grade classes (Class A and Class B), each comprising 34 students. Data were collected through questionnaires and narrative writing tests. The experimental group received instruction based on the VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) learning model tailored to linguistic intelligence, while the control group followed standard instruction. Data were analyzed using mean scores and standard deviations, with hypothesis testing to determine significance. The experimental group showed significant improvement in narrative writing skills. The average final test score in the control group was 74.14, while the experimental group achieved 82.87, compared to their pre-test average of 69.82. Hypothesis testing indicated that linguistic intelligence significantly influenced students' writing abilities (Ho rejected). Findings suggest that integrating linguistic intelligence through VAK learning strategies enhances students' ability to express ideas in narrative form. However, both students and teachers faced challenges such as limited motivation, lack of imagination, and difficulties understanding narrative structure.
