Abstract

Abstract

Business competition makes companies must be able to maintain their survival, but fraud that occurs can result in high risks for the company so that it needs to be anticipated and managed properly. This study intends to examine the role of the whistleblower system in the implementation of forensic audits, particularly in effort to reveal fraud. The approach employed in this research is a Literatire Review (SLR) study employing data sources from various national and international research. The results showed that the whistleblowing system has an important role as a provider of initial information about fraud that occurs in an organisation in both the government and private sectors. Information obtained from whistleblowers can then be used as preliminary evidence for auditors to conduct investigative audits and forensic audits that pay attention to the interests of evidence based on the law. This study also found that whistleblowers are more comfortable disclosing fraud to external parties than to internal organizations and are more willing to disclose fraud information if the fraud is committed by peers and equals than if it is committed by leaders or top management.

Abstract

The suboptimal knowledge and understanding of patients and their families regarding the triage system in emergency department can lead to conflicts due to the feeling of neglected and not receiving definitive action. Therefore, developing a triage model with active interventions of caring, education, and patient safety is required in triage services at emergency department. This study aimed to determine the effects of caring, education, and patient safety (CEST)-based triage model on the level of patient satisfaction at Hermina Hospital, Indonesia. This study used a quantitative approach with a true experimental design using a post-test only group control design. The samples in this study were 30 intervention groups and 30 control groups selected with simple random sampling techniques. The statistical test used was an independent t-test. The results of this study showed that there was a significant difference in patient satisfaction between the control group and the intervention group. The mean of the control group was 26.07 and 29.70 for the intervention group. The p-value of the effects of implementing the CEST triage model between the control and intervention groups was 0.002 (< 0.05). Developing the CEST-based triage model can improve patient satisfaction by providing a sense of caring, education, and implementing patient safety in the hospital.

Abstract

The continuous use of ground water will have an impact on the sustainability of groundwater. One way to maintain the quality and quantity of groundwater is to apply absorption wells. In addition to increasing the amount of groundwater, the amount of surface runoff that can cause flooding problems can also be reduced. By increasing the amount of water infiltrated would affect ground water level fluctuations, so as this will have an impact on dry season where water reserves are not significantly reduced. The greater the water infiltration will have an impact on the reduced surface runoff. The application of making absorption wells in the devotion to the community in Taman Sari Village was done with a single model. Through the concept of community empowerment training by making absorption wells is expected to be a change in community behavior that is increasingly concerned and responsive to the environment, especially about the problems of flooding and drought starts from the micro level.

Abstract

The absence of sanctions against instant triple talaq and out-of-court divorce in Indonesia presents significant challenges for justice on gender equality and women's rights in today’s modern society. This study has the primary objective of analyzing the issues surrounding talaq divorce regulations in Indonesia by reflecting on the regulations in India. The study employs a combination of normative legal research methods, a legislative approach, and a comparative approach, focusing primarily on the marriage laws of Indonesia and India. The findings indicate that the practice of ‘triple talaq’ or instant divorce in India has been banned, with criminal sanctions imposed, including a three-year imprisonment for violators. In contrast, the regulations on talaq in Indonesia remain administrative in nature, requiring individuals to perform talaq in court, with no sanctions established for those who violate the regulations. The lack of criminal sanctions for talaq in Indonesia stems from its dual legal system and the absence of comprehensive guidelines on the procedural aspects of talaq, compounded by the limited resources of religious courts. In addition, the social stigma attached to divorce further complicates the issue. In India, the imposition of criminal sanctions for triple talaq aims to challenge the rigidity of the law and prioritize the rights of women and children. The reconstruction of regulations on divorce can be achieved through three components of criminal sanctions, comprising legal substance, legal structure, and legal culture. Also, it is essential to take humanitarian considerations and local wisdom in Indonesia into account when implementing such criminal sanctions.

Abstract

The garbage piled up in the ocean can be caused by household waste and increasing marine tourism and shipping activities. The increase of marine debris is an international case because it has impacted the global climate crisis resulting in the damage of marine ecosystems. Those large impacts caused by pollution in the ocean prompted many parties to make regulations regarding the marine debris crisis. In carrying out its project, 4ocean cleans up the garbage by transporting it from rivers, coasts, and the ocean, then brings it to the land and processes it into recycled products. The 4Ocean teams work using environmentally friendly equipment. 4Ocean cleans the ocean by removing around one million pounds of garbage every month. This project can help the government tackle the marine waste crisis. The method used in this research is a literature study where the author collects data through previous writings and searches for data from the internet. This research aims to look at the role of international organizations as one of the actors in international relations in dealing with the waste crisis.
