Abstract

Student discipline and learning motivation are fundamental pillars in achieving quality education, especially in Vocational High Schools (SMK). This study focuses on an in-depth analysis of how the role of academic supervision can effectively improve student discipline and learning motivation. This case study was conducted at SMK Telkom Pekanbaru. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, which aims to understand the meaning and direct experience of the research subjects. Important stages include purposive selection of subjects consisting of teachers and students, as well as comprehensive data collection through in-depth interviews, participatory observations in class, and analysis of documentation related to the learning and supervision process. The results of the study indicate that academic supervision has a very crucial and strategic role. Supervision that is carried out effectively with a systematic, reflective, and participatory approach has been proven to be able to improve teacher professional competence. This has a direct impact on the creation of a positive classroom climate, where student discipline increases due to the clarity of structure and consistency, while learning motivation grows through a more enjoyable and relevant learning approach. It is concluded that quality academic supervision is not just administrative control, but a main instrument for quality development that must be a priority in managing education in SMK. ABSTRAKKedisiplinan dan motivasi belajar siswa merupakan pilar fundamental dalam mencapai kualitas pendidikan, khususnya di lingkungan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis mendalam mengenai bagaimana peran supervisi akademik dapat secara efektif meningkatkan kedisiplinan dan motivasi belajar siswa. Studi kasus ini dilaksanakan di SMK Telkom Pekanbaru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, yang bertujuan untuk memahami makna dan pengalaman langsung dari subjek penelitian. Tahapan pentingnya meliputi pemilihan subjek secara purposif yang terdiri dari guru dan siswa, serta pengumpulan data komprehensif melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif di kelas, dan analisis dokumentasi terkait proses pembelajaran dan supervisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi akademik memiliki peran yang sangat krusial dan strategis. Supervisi yang dilaksanakan secara efektif dengan pendekatan yang sistematis, reflektif, dan partisipatif terbukti mampu meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru. Hal ini berdampak langsung pada terciptanya iklim kelas yang positif, di mana kedisiplinan siswa meningkat karena adanya kejelasan struktur dan konsistensi, sementara motivasi belajar tumbuh melalui pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih menyenangkan dan relevan. Disimpulkan bahwa supervisi akademik berkualitas bukan sekadar kontrol administratif, melainkan sebuah instrumen utama pengembangan mutu yang harus menjadi prioritas dalam pengelolaan pendidikan di SMK.

Abstract

Supervisi akademik telah berkembang menjadi mekanisme strategis dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk menganalisis secara sistematis peran supervisi akademik dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, kinerja guru, dan hasil pembelajaran berdasarkan studi-studi yang terindeks dalam database SINTA selama periode 2015–2025. Metode yang digunakan adalah Tinjauan Pustaka Sistematis (Systematic Literature Review/SLR) dengan mengikuti tahapan identifikasi, seleksi, uji kelayakan, dan analisis terhadap sepuluh artikel ilmiah yang memenuhi kriteria. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pengawasan akademik berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap kualitas pendidikan, kinerja guru, profesional guru dan mutu pembelajaran. Pendekatan supervisi yang suportif, kolaboratif, dan berkelanjutan terbukti mampu mendorong pengembangan kompetensi guru secara menyeluruh, mencakup aspek pedagogis, profesional, sosial, dan personal. Implikasi temuan ini menekankan pentingnya penguatan kapasitas kepala sekolah sebagai supervisor akademik, integrasi hasil supervisi ke dalam sistem pengembangan karier guru, serta pemanfaatan teknologi digital untuk mendukung efektivitas supervisi. Dengan demikian, supervisi akademik dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal sebagai instrumen reformasi pendidikan yang berkelanjutan untuk mewujudkan peningkatan mutu pembelajaran di satuan pendidikan di seluruh Indonesia.

Abstract

The use of learning media in science education is increasingly important to improve students' learning competence and motivation, yet there is still a gap in the understanding of the effectiveness of strategic media management. This study aims to explore the role of learning media management in improving students' competencies as well as understanding the influence of students' preferences for learning media on their learning motivation. This study used a quantitative design with a survey method. The sample consisted of 54 junior high school students in North Sumatra Province who were selected using the convenience sampling method. Data were collected through an online survey covering four main constructs: teachers' learning media management strategies, students' science competencies, students' preferences for learning media, and students' learning motivation. Data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS (V.4) software to test the validity and reliability of the research instruments and SPSS (V.26) to analyze the relationship between variables through multiple regression analysis (univariate; ENTER model). The results showed that effective management of learning media, especially in visualizing complex concepts, had a significant influence on improving the procedural aspects of students' competence, although the influence on conceptual understanding was still limited. In addition, students' preference for relevant, engaging, and contextualized media was shown to positively influence their motivation, especially in the aspects of active engagement and learning comfort. These findings highlight the importance of interactive and strategic media design and the need for teacher training in maximizing the use of learning media. The implications of this study include the development of educational policies that support the integration of student preference-based learning media and the increase of teachers' capacity to manage media effectively to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh bahan ajar terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Fisika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah meta analisis. Meta-analisis adalah penelitian yang dilakukan dengan cara merangkum, mengkaji dan menganalisis data dari beberapa penelitian yang telah dilakukan. Sampel penelitian ulang terdiri dari 20 artikel. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menghitung effect size dari setiap artikel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pengaruh bahan ajar terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa dapat disimpulkan. Penggunaan bahan ajar terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar memberikan pengaruh pada aspek jenjang pendidikan, terutama SMP. Dimana nilai rata - rata effect size pada jenjang SMP untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis kategori sangat tinggi. Jenjang SMA bahan ajar digunakan kategori sangat tinggi.

Abstract

Metode yang digunakan saat proses pembelajaran belum bervariasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan sumber belajar berupa Konstruktivisme berbasis buku siswa validitas dan efektivitas praktiklitas, pada mata pelajaran dasar listrik dan elektronika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Research and Development (R and D), dengan desain four-D yang diterapkan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji validitas, praktikalitas, dan efektivitas konstruktivis berdasarkan buku siswa pada pembelajaran Dasar Listrik dan Elektronika. Berdasarkan tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap kepraktisan buku siswa menunjukkan bahwa buku siswa sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil belajar keefektifan buku siswa dinyatakan efektif dengan nilai rata-rata 85,19% secara klasikal. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa, buku siswa berbasis konstruktivisme efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Maksud dari penelitian ini yaitu mencari dampak pelajaran IPA terhadap sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik. Penelitian ini memakai metode survei (meta-analisis) yaitu menganalisis besarnya dampak pembelajaran IPA terhadap sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dipakai yaitu teknik literature review dengan cara mencari dan mengumpulkan artikel jurnal yang diambil dari Google Scholar. Data dianalisis memakai analisis statistik deskriptif kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahuit nilai effect size. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Nilai effect size untuk sikap peduli ligkungan peserta didik pada jenjang pendidikan yaitu tingkat SD, tingkat SMP dan tingkat SMA mendapatkan hasil dengan kategori tinggi 2) Nilai effect size untuk model pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah STM dan PBL dengan kategori tinggi 3) Effect size materi pelajaran yang digunakan adalah materi perubahan lingkungan di tingkat SMA dan bahan pencemaran di tingkat SMA pada kategori sangat tinggi dan tinggi.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of the student facilitator and explaining learning model in the basics of electricity subject at SMK Negeri 5 Padang. It is known that many learning models have been developed by experts, but schools still use the lecture learning model. The use of inappropriate learning models results in students' lack of interest and enthusiasm in participating in the learning process so that this has an impact on low student learning outcomes. The application of the student facilitator and explaining learning model is considered to be one solution in changing the learning model which is still lecture and discussion. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research to see the implementation of the student facilitator and explaining learning model towards improving the learning outcomes of class X TITL students at SMK Negeri 5 Padang. The type of research used is experimental research in the form of Pre Experimental Design with a One-Group Pre-test Post-test Design. The research instrument used to see changes in student learning outcomes is by giving a test in the form of objective questions consisting of 25 questions. Meanwhile, to see the success of implementing the student facilitator and explaining learning model, namely by providing a learning implementation questionnaire after implementing the learning model. The research results were analyzed using classical completeness testing, gain scores, and analysis of learning implementation for questionnaires. Based on the research results, it shows that students' grades after implementing the student facilitator and explaining learning model have increased quite significantly. Analysis of the implementation of the Student Facilitator And Explaining learning model is in the high and very high categories. Based on these data, it can be stated that the Student Facilitator And Explaining learning model is effectively used in learning the basics of electricity.

Abstract

Experts have created numerous learning models to be applied during the learning process; however, not all learning models are suitable for every subject and student. This research implements the Creative Problem-Solving learning model and aims to determine the results of implementing the Creative Problem-Solving model in the subject of Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya. This type of research uses a quantitative pre-experimental approach with a one-group Pretest-Posttest research design. The subjects of this research are 25 students from class X TITL 1 at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya. The data collection techniques used in this research include research instruments in the form of Pretest and Posttest essay questions to collect student learning outcome data and questionnaires to gather data on students' responses to the implementation of the Creative Problem-Solving learning model. These research instruments must be tested before being used as research instruments. The data analysis techniques used to determine the implementation of this learning model are classical completeness test, N-gain Score test, and descriptive analysis of the implementation response. The students' responses after the application of the learning model indicate a tendency towards positive responses, and there is an improvement in learning outcomes following the implementation of the Creative Problem-Solving model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Project-based Learning model and student learning outcomes after implementing learning using the pjbl model in the Electrical Lighting Installation subject class XII TITL at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang. Student learning outcomes are still low which is caused by learning factors that are still teacher-centered, thus affecting student learning outcomes in the cognitive and attitudinal domains. Therefore, it is necessary to apply a project-based learning model to find out how effective this learning model is on student learning outcomes. This research uses a type of experimental research with a pre-experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design. The object of this research is the project-based learning model and the effectiveness of its application on student learning outcomes in the subject of electrical lighting installation. The subject of this research was class XII TITL SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang. The instruments used in this research were tests and student questionnaires. Based on the average posttest and questionnaire scores it is in the high category. Therefore, the application of the project-based learning model in the Electrical Lighting Installation subject is said to be effective because the percentage of student attitudes is quite high, the classical completeness score and effect size are included in the large category.

Abstract

This research is motivated by industrial work practices on the competence of class XII students with a significant influence. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of industrial work practices on the competency of class XII Electrical Power Installation Engineering students at SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra. This research uses a quantitative approach with an associative type of research. The subjects of this research were class XII students in Electrical Installation Engineering at SMK 1 West Sumatra. The type of data and data collection is in the form of a questionnaire and data analysis uses the successive interval (MSI) method. The results of the research showed that industrial work practices had a significant impact on student competency in learning electrical power installation techniques. The research suggestions are: 1) Students are expected to optimize lessons at school by following industrial work practices so that they can increase student competency in learning. 2) Teachers are expected to always develop industrial work practice learning programs so that they can have a positive impact on students' learning competencies. 3) Future researchers are expected to be able to study and research further about different industrial work practices and student competencies so that they can provide more references in further research and consider using a longer research design, allowing long-term observations of the impact of industrial work practices on student competencies.
