Abstract

Laboratories play a crucial role in enhancing learning experiences, verifying scientific concepts, and solving problems through scientific methods. However, the implementation of chemistry practicums in schools often faces significant challenges. This study aims to identify the problems hindering the implementation of chemistry practicums and propose alternative solutions to address these issues. A survey method was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach. The population consisted of 45 schools in Aceh, involving 981 grade XII students. A cluster sampling technique selected 13 schools, comprising 80 participants, including principals, chemistry teachers, and students. Data were collected through validated instruments, including observation sheets, response questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The findings revealed several obstacles, including inadequate laboratory infrastructure, unprepared teachers, insufficient tools and materials, limited supporting facilities, and a lack of laboratory staff. To overcome these challenges, alternative solutions were suggested, such as conducting practicums in classrooms through demonstrations, utilizing natural materials and virtual media, aligning practicums with learning standards, adopting blended learning models, and recruiting laboratory staff. These proposed solutions provide practical approaches to improving chemistry practicum implementation in public high schools, ensuring students gain hands-on learning experiences and enhancing their understanding of scientific concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in improving the skills and understanding of students in the Diploma-3 Mechanical Engineering Program. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in three cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Each cycle was followed by two face-to-face meetings. Data was collected through tests and analyzed descriptively to measure the improvement in students' learning outcomes. The research findings indicate that the implementation of PjBL is effective in enhancing technical skills, understanding of the material, and collaborative skills among students. The achievement of success indicators improved from 56.67% in Cycle I to 86.67% in Cycle III. PjBL has proven to create more applicable and interactive learning experiences, increase student motivation, and prepare them to face industry challenges. This study concludes that the PjBL model can be more widely applied in vocational education to improve students' practical skills and prepare them to meet the growing demands of the industry.Keywords: D3 Mechanical Engineering Program, Project-Based Learning (PjBL), Skill Improvement

Abstract

Permasalahan yang ditemukan dikelas X TKJ 2 SMK Negeri 3 Panyabungan adalah rendahnyahasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran dasar desain grafis, siswa kurang semangat mengikuti pembelajaran, guru masih menggunkan metode konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi model pembelajaran project based learning dikelas X TKJ 2 pada mata pelajaran dasar desain grafis, mendeskripsikan hasil belajar dikelas X TKJ 2 pada mata pelajaran dasar desain grafis sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model PjBL, melihat pengaruh penggunaan model PjBL terhadap hasil belajar dikelas X TKJ 2 pada mata pelajaran dasar desain grafis. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil lembar observasi guru saat implementasi model PjBL nilai rata-rata observasi guru yaitu 75 yang termasuk dalam kategori ”Baik”. Dan hasil lembar observasi siswa pada saat implementasi model PjBL nilai rata-rata observasi siswa yaitu 64 yang termasuk dalam kategori ”cukup”. Danhasil pretestsiswamendapat nilai rata-rata 45,34 berada pada kategori "Rendah". Danhasil posttest siswa mendapat nilai rata-rata 79,14 berada pada kategori "Tinggi". Agar diketahui hipotesis diterima atau ditolak, maka analisis data menggunakan rumus uji t. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dari uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung sebesar 15,36, dengan sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05. Artinya bahwa hipotesis dapat diterima atau disetujui kebenarannya.

Abstract

Iron sand is one of the industrial minerals. The utilization of iron sand in Indonesia is still limited to being used as a raw material for cement factories in the manufacture of concrete. Iron is given the symbol (Fe) in the periodic table's chemical element. The purpose of this study was to determine the mineral properties of iron sand and the chemical characteristics of iron sand. The research location is in the Barru district in the province of South Sulawesi, Indonesia. This research method uses XRD and XRF analysis methods. From the results of the XRD analysis, it was found that 2 minerals carrying iron sand, including the minerals Magnetite and Hematite with the percentage content of these minerals, are. Magnetite mineral (Fe3O4) 9,3% and Hematite mineral (Fe2O3) 0,3%. The results of XRF analysis show that the chemical composition contained in F2O3 minerals, containing oxide and hydroxide elements Fe, O, and Oxide, is a chemical compound that contains at least one oxygen atom and at least one other element.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the dynamics of contemporary Qur’anic exegesis through a comparative analysis of the intellectual contributions of Amīn al-Khūlī and Nashr Hamīd Abū Zayd, two reformist scholars who prioritize linguistic and literary methodologies in Qur’anic interpretation. The primary objective is to delineate the methodological convergences and divergences between these scholars, who share a mentor-mentee relationship. Employing a qualitative research design with a comparative framework, this study traces their conceptual developments as articulated in their principal works. The findings indicate that Amīn al-Khūlī, influenced by Western literary criticism, foregrounds literary devices in Qur’anic interpretation, emphasizing linguistic structures, rhetorical techniques, and literary composition. Conversely, Nashr Hamīd Abū Zayd adopts a more expansive hermeneutical approach that incorporates the social, cultural, and historical contexts of revelation, while also accentuating the significance of classical Arabic, metaphor, and symbolism in the transmission of divine messages. The study’s implications highlight the necessity of cultivating an interpretive methodology that is responsive to contemporary intellectual currents while remaining grounded in Islamic scholarly traditions, thereby contributing to the advancement of Qur’anic studies in the modern era.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji dinamika tafsir Al-Qur’an kontemporer melalui perbandingan pemikiran Amīn al-Khūlī dan Nashr Hamīd AbūZayd, dua tokoh pembaharu yang menekankan pendekatan linguistik dan sastra dalam memahami Al-Qur’an. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi persamaan dan perbedaan metodologis di antara keduanya yang memiliki hubungan intelektual guru dan murid. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan komparatif untuk menelusuri pemikiran kedua tokoh melalui karya-karya utama mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Amīn al-Khūlī, yang terpengaruh oleh metode analisis sastra Barat, menekankan penggunaan perangkat sastra dalam menafsirkan Al-Qur’an dengan fokus pada struktur bahasa, gaya retorika, dan komposisi sastra. Sebaliknya, Nashr Hamīd Abū Zayd menerapkan pendekatan hermeneutik yang lebih luas dengan mempertimbangkan konteks sosial, budaya, dan historis masa pewahyuan, serta menyoroti peran bahasa Arab klasik, metafora, dan simbolisme dalam memahami pesan Ilahi. Implikasi dari studi ini menunjukkan pentingnya pengembangan metodologi tafsir yang adaptif terhadap dinamika keilmuan modern tanpa mengabaikan akar tradisi keislaman, sehingga dapat memperkaya khazanah studi tafsir di era kontemporer.

Abstract

Technology plays an important role in supporting an education that can develop students' understanding. One platform that can be used as a learning medium is the E-Campus. This web application is often used by students and lecturers. In line with that the research is intended to find out the use of E-Campus as a learning medium for universities in the current era. This research was conducted using a quantitative method by conducting online surveys and in-depth interviews with students at various universities. The results of this study are the use of the ecampus web application in the learning process at various universities today, which is beneficial for a number of students and lecturers at tertiary institutions. To evaluate and understand ecampus in the learning process requires a deep understanding for students so they can use it properly. Therefore the limitation of this research is that the researcher did not make a design for using the e-campus in the study. The researcher hopes that further researchers can conduct research to build and develop this ecampus web application.

Abstract

This study examines the social dynamics of the muallaf community in Sentani, focusing on religious and familial conflicts during funeral processes. The aim is to explore how family disputes arising from differing religious beliefs can be mitigated through power-sharing negotiation strategies. Employing a qualitative methodology with a phenomenological approach, the research utilizes Jackman's negotiation theory as an analytical framework. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving religious leaders and family members. Findings indicate that effective mediation and open communication are key strategies in alleviating tensions. Additionally, the roles of government and religious organizations are critical in maintaining order, mediating disputes, and formulating inclusive policies. Religious leaders contribute by enforcing ethical norms, providing counseling, and facilitating negotiations. Collaborative efforts between government and religious institutions can yield fair solutions that respect various traditions. By fostering inclusivity and mutual respect for diverse customs, communities can create a more harmonious environment. This study recommends enhancing conflict resolution knowledge and developing innovative strategies to address future challenges effectively.

Abstract

In accordance with article 303 of the Criminal Code and Law no. 7 of 1974 concerning Control of Gambling This research was initiated with the intention of examining the repressive efforts carried out by the Turikale Resort Police in Maros Regency to eradicate gambling as a crime. Empirical legal research is used in this study. types of research. Primary and secondary legal materials are used as a source of research data. By managing primary data obtained from Polres Turikale Maros Regency, this research is included in the type of qualitative data. This study found that people in the Turikale Law Area of ​​the Polsek in Maros Regency gambled in various ways, including cockfighting and card gambling (Domino and Remi). In addition, there are several factors that motivate people to gamble, including environmental factors, environmental factors, and environmental factors. Perception of skills, perception of the possibility of winning, and the low level of public education. The Turikale Police have taken the following steps to combat gambling offences: Repressive measures are taken after the crime has occurred, whereas preventive measures are taken at the preventive level.

Abstract

Ketidakmampuan seseorang dalam merubah nasib selalu diwarnai dengan berubahnya sikap dan prilaku hidup sehari-hari yang mengarah pada budaya miskin, sehingga masyarakat umum beranggapan bahwa masyarakat miskin adalah kelompok manusia malas yang tidak mau kerja keras. Kehidupan masyarakat sesungguhnya saling tergantung satu sama lain dan menyatu dalam keseimbangan, sehingga setiap peran yang ada fungsional bagi masyarakat. Komponen kultural kehidupan masyarakat era modern. Modal sosial yang lemah akan meredupkan semangat gotong-royong, mempengaruhi kemiskinan, dan meningkatkan pengangguran, kriminalitas meningkat dan saling percaya-mempercayai sesama tetangga akan semakin berkurang. Sehingga perekonomian akan terganggu, karena tidak terjaminnya keamanan dalam beraktifitas guna mencari rezeki demi memenuhi kehidupan sehari-hari. Karakteristik kemiskinan atau tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakat di Kabupaten Aceh Utara, secara rata-rata termasuk dalam kategori sedang, dengan kondisi tempat tinggal masyarakat permanen dan pendidikan banyak yang tamatan perguruan tinggi lebih dari 70%.  Karakteristik masyarakat Kabupaten Aceh Utara umumnya berada pada kategori sedang. Abstract

Eclampsia defined as the occurrence of seizures in women whom meet the criteria for preeclampsia. The effects of preeclampsia that progress to eclampsia will cause neurological symptoms, including seizures, cerebral circulation dysregulation and neuropathology. Signs and symptoms of eclampsia include seizures, severe agitation and altered of consciousness. Preeclampsia and eclampsia are the causes of the high level of maternal mortality in the world. A 38 years old woman came to emergency room at RSUD Dr H Abdul Moeloek because of convulsion 1 hour ago which lasted about 5 minutes. Patients complain of blurred vision, nausea and vomiting. Patient founded hypertension was 174/110 mmHg and pretibial edema. Obstetric examination shows the pelvic inlet has not yet entered, his cannot be palpable, vaginal toucher found a soft portion without opening, amniotic and presentation cannot be assessed. Laboratory examination shows Hb 11.6 gr/dl, leukocytosis 19,700/µL, increased liver function SGOT 40 U/L, increased lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) 655 U/L and proteinuria 500 mg/dL. Management in the ER consists of observation, administration of conservative and abortive therapy to stop seizures. MgSO4 injection was given at slow bolus dose of 4 grams followed by 500 ml RL infusion mixed with 6 grams of MgSO4 used up for 6 hours. Corticosteroid administration in this case was represented by an injection of Dexamethasone 10 grams every 12 hours. Nifedipine was given at 3x10 mg and Methyldopa at 3x500 mg.
