Abstract

This study aimed to review various studies focusing on pollution that could adversely affect health, including sources, types, and mitigation efforts. The data used were obtained through a search on the Scopus website using the keywords "Health" AND "Pollution" from 2016 to 2023. Using these two keywords, 72 titles and abstracts of papers were successfully found. The results of this literature review were then analyzed with the assistance of NVivo 12 Pro, which grouped the findings based on their impact on health, reasons for pollution, types of pollution, and preventive measures. It was identified that the most common disease was respiratory disorder. One of the leading causes was vehicle combustion, emitting carbon monoxide due to the incomplete combustion of fossil fuels, such as petroleum and natural gas. This study also revealed that the dominant focus of those studies was on air and water pollution. These studies also indicated that solutions to pollution-causing diseases generally include using renewable fuels, waste management, public health literacy, and adopting electric vehicles.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan penguasaan materi sistem pencernaan dan kesehatan reproduksi terhadap literasi stunting pada peserta didik SMAN 1 2X11 Enam Lingkung. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester genap Juli-Desember 2023 di SMAN 1 2X11 Enam Lingkung. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik di SMAN 1 2X11 Enam Lingkung. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik total sampling. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas tiga macam istrumen yaitu, instrumen penguasaan materi, literasi kesehatan reproduksi dan literasi stunting. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji regresi sederhana dan uji regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jumlah peserta didik yang mencapai kategori sangat baik pada penguasaan materi sistem pencernaan adalah 51,25% dan pada kesehatan reproduksi kategori baik yaitu 47,5%. Pada literasi stunting peserta didik yang mencapai kategori baik sebanyak 47,5%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi, diketahui bahwa penguasaan materi sistem pencernaan berkontribusi terhadap literasi stunting sebesar 7,2%. Kesehatan reproduksi juga berkontribusi terhadap literasi stunting sebesar 8,7%. Namun, penguasaan materi sistem pencernaan dan kesehatan reproduksi secara bersama-sama memiliki kontribusi yang lebih besar terhadap stunting, yaitu sebesar 13,3%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat Kontribusi Penguasaan Materi Sistem Pencernaan dan Kesehatan Reproduksi dengan Literasi Stunting peserta didik SMAN 1 2X11 Enam Lingkung.

Abstract

Masa lanjut usia atau lansia adalah periode di mana fungsi fisik, kognitif, dan fisiologis yang terkait dengan proses penuaan biasanya menurun. WHO menetapkan batas usia 65 tahun sebagai indikator penuaan yang signifikan. Namun, faktor lain seperti gaya hidup, kesehatan fisik dan mental, serta faktor lingkungan juga berperan penting dalam penuaan. Menopause, yang terjadi pada wanita, merupakan penurunan hormon estrogen dan dapat diobati dengan Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), obat non-hormonal, atau terapi alternatif. Salah satu terapi alternatif yang dikaji adalah penggunaan daun ruku-ruku, yang memiliki efek antibakteri, antijamur, meningkatkan produksi hormon, serta meningkatkan kualitas tidur pada wanita pascamenopause. Diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk memahami manfaat, mekanisme, dan dosis optimal penggunaan daun ruku-ruku sebagai terapi tambahan pada wanita lansia.

Abstract

Sistem imun merupakan suatu sistem terpenting yang terus menerus melakukan tugas dan kegiatan dalam menjaga kekebalan tubuh. Sistem imun bekerja dengan cara mengenali dan membunuh substansi asing yang menyerang kekebalan tubuh. Peran dan fungsi sistem imun dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti faktor genetik, fisiologi dan stress. Gangguan ini menyebabkan penderita mengalami autoimun seperti leukemia. Leukemia merupakan jenis kanker yang diakibatkan penggantian elemen sumsun tulang belakang. Leukemia meyebabkan infeksi, anemia dan pendarahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberi informasi kepada pembaca mengenai respon imun terhadap penyakit leukemia dan memudahkan peneliti membuat topik penelitian baru terkait imun dan leukemia yang belum banyak di teliti. Penelitian ini berdasarkan sumber pustaka dari Scopus dengan rentang tahun dari 2019 hingga 2022 serta menggunakan kata kunci leukemia, imun dan terapi. Hasil penelusuran literature review menunjukkan bahwa “immunotherapy”, “leukemia”, “acute lymphoblastic leukemia”, “acute myeloid leukemia”, dan “cd19”paling banyak diteliti.

Abstract

Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA) merupakan salah satu jenis kerontokan rambut yang paling umum terjadi pada pria dan wanita. Faktor genetik dan hormonal telah diidentifikasi sebagai penyebab utama kondisi ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki peran hormon testosteron dalam AGA melalui pendekatan sistematis menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan kerangka kerja PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses). Penelitian telah menunjukkan bahwa faktor genetik dan hormonal, termasuk kadar testosteron dan konversinya menjadi dihidrotestosteron (DHT), berperan dalam patogenesis AGA. Meskipun hubungan langsung antara kadar hormon testosteron dan keparahan AGA belum selalu jelas, profil hormonal yang tidak normal, seperti kadar testosteron tinggi, dapat terkait dengan resistensi insulin dan keparahan AGA. Selain itu, studi genetik telah mengidentifikasi variasi genetik di sekitar gen yang mengodekan reseptor androgen dan estrogen sebagai faktor penting dalam kepekaan terhadap AGA. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa hormon androgen, terutama testosteron, memainkan peran kunci dalam AGA, tetapi faktor genetik dan hormonal lain juga berperan penting dalam patogenesisnya.

Abstract

One of the health problems that occurs in the world is stunting. Stunting or what is commonly known as short toddlers is a condition where toddlers are less tall compared to their age. West Sumatra Province is ranked 17th out of 34 provinces that experience stunting with a prevalence of stunting in toddlers (aged 24-59 months) of 36.2%, which is higher than the national prevalence, namely 30.8%. Stunting can also occur due to direct factors of stunting such as maternal nutrition during pregnancy, toddler nutrition and disease infections. Apart from direct factors, there are also indirect factors that can occur from various aspects, one of which is water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). This research uses a literature study method using PICO. The research results obtained were that there was a relationship between the LBW factor (lower baby weight) and the incidence of stunting in toddlers, three articles were obtained. Two articles were found regarding the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and MP-ASI. On the relationship between parenting styles, four articles were found. Three articles were found regarding the relationship between sanitation and the environment. Three articles were found regarding the relationship between height and height. One article was found regarding the relationship between zinc levels. On the relationship between mother's work, one article was found. Regarding the history of infectious diseases, one article was found. One article was found regarding the relationship between the age of pregnant women and the incidence of stunting in toddlers. From the conclusion above regarding the relationship between environmental sanitation and hygiene on stunting among toddlers in West Sumatra, the most common one is parenting patterns in children.Keyword : abstract; nutrition; words; research

Abstract

Population growth has an impact on the need for land availability and food production needs. The need for land and food production will increase the amount of waste or leftovers, both from the production and consumption processes, these wastes or leftovers are known as waste. This research was conducted at State Elementary School 04 Birugo Bukittinggi. The method used in this research is direct observation and interviews. The data collected was analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively by emphasizing the substance of the problem regarding the relationship between variables that influence each other in the social-based waste management process, such as aspects of students and the environment and techniques for using equipment/technology, which influence waste management. The results of this research can be seen from the types of waste found in schools, there are 2 types of waste, namely organic waste with 3 types and inorganic waste with 6 types. Furthermore, the generation of organic waste and inorganic waste obtained a total of 2,978.78 grams of organic waste and 4,214.00 grams of inorganic waste which was calculated for 13 months. As for waste management at the 04 Birugo Bukuttinggi Elementary School, follow up on organic waste by making solid and liquid organic fertilizer.

Abstract

Coal is a sedimentary rock whose main ingredient consists of carbon resulting from the formation of plant remains that have experienced heat and geological pressure for millions of years. Coal mining activities cause air pollution and are a negative externality that has an impact on health problems in the community. This research was conducted at PT. Pacific Coal Mining uses a qualitative descriptive method, data collection is carried out by direct observation of the impacts arising from coal mining activities. The results of this research arebased on people's habits in terms of washing, bathing and drinking, the majority use river water. Nutritional adequacy and food adequacy are considered sufficient. Furthermore, regarding the type of disease, the majority of respondents (83.33%) admitted that their family members had suffered from illness. The illnesses suffered include 40.00% upper respiratory tract infections/ARI (flu, coughs and colds), 26.67% suffering from malaria/chilling fever, 3.33% suffering from digestive tract diseases (diarrhea, dysentery and vomiting), and 13.33% suffered from other diseases, such as rheumatism, swollen legs and high blood pressure. As for health services, the health service facilities available at the study object are still very limited.

Abstract

Indonesia is the country with the fourth largest population in the world due to its high production of both inorganic and organic garbage. There is an effort made by society in reducing organic waste, which is to recycle organic wastes by bioconversion methods. Previous research has recycled organic garbage into a medium for the cultivation of maggot or known as Larva Black Soldier Fly, which can be used as feed for poultry or fish. This method is used to find, evaluate, and interpret research findings that relate to a particular subject or phenomenon. The result of this research is a new innovation in the reduction of organic garbage through the cultivation of maggot or known Black Soldier Fly Larva is still not maximum. There should be a participatory development effort among societies with a community or wider social sphere to encourage transformative action using the latest media.
