The purpose of this research is to improve motivation and learning achievment of students in theme-based learning using blended learning model in primary schools. This type of research is mixed methods, with the design of embedded experimental models. The mixed methods model consist of three phase. They are pre-intervention, during an intervention, and after intervention. Those phase pre-intervention, interviews with the class teacher, surveys, given the motivation questionnaire, and pre-tests. Then the intervention of theme-based learning using a blended learning model, observation for learning. Then the after-intervention, given the post-test, motivation questionnaire and response after learning implementation. To gain the quantitative data to strengthen the quantitative data the student's response, then focus group discussion (FGD) was implemented. Final interpretation of the data based on quantitative and qualitative data. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Rank and triangulated whit the quantitative. The sample of the study was 113. The data collection was conducted by questionnaire, interviews, and documentation. Results of this study was an increase in motivation and learning achievement significantly. This is evident by the analysis of statistical tests obtained an average increase of 56.50 learning motivation and learning achievement at 57.00. Base on the data analysis can be concluded is an improvment increase in motivation and learning achievement of students after following theme-based learning using blended learning. Students were also responding very well to the learning. Thus the theme-based learning using a blended learning model in primary schools are very effective and recommended for in primary schools especially upper-grade students.

The purposes of this study are to improve students problem-solving abilities and self-confidence in the problem-based learning model and to describe the ability of students to solve mathematical problems through a problem-based learning model regarding students' confidence. This research is a mixed methods research, with an embedded experimental model. Data collection techniques used tests of problem-solving skills, confidence questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using N-Gain, Correlation Pearson and Triangulation of qualitative data. The subject of research amounted to 67 students. The results showed that there was an increase in mathematical problem-solving abilities and students' self-confidence significantly. Students' confidence have N-Gain score of 0.40 was included in the medium category, meanwhile, the students' problem-solving abilities with N-Gain scores of 0.36 included in the medium category. Students with high confidence can understand the problem, develop a problem-solving plan, implement a problem-solving plan, and recheck the results of problem-solving well, students with confidence moderate can understand the problem, develop a plan good problem solving, but less able to recheck the results of problem-solving, students with low self-confidence can understand problems, develop plans for problem-solving well, but are less able to implement problem-solving plans and are unable to recheck results of problem-solving.

The 21st-century skills are needed by students in learning and adapting to the rapid development of technology. This study aims to analyze the communication skills and students’ empathy after ICT-based learning. The method employed in this study was pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 131 students in the fifth grade of primary schools. The techniques of data collection were observation and questionnaires. The data was analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis. The results showed that the average score of communication skills for Sub Theme 1 to Sub Theme 3 lessons increased from 76 to The average score of students’ empathy for Sub Theme 1 to Sub Theme 3 lessons increased from 76 to 97. The results indicated that the average score of communication skills and students’ empathy was above the Minimum Mastery Criteria (>75). The students performed a positive response to ICT-based learning. Based on the results, it can be concluded that communication skills and empathy of the fifth-grade students of primary schools increase through ICT-based learning.

Learning in 21st Century focuses on the development of students learning activities in order to increase their creativity through creative products. This study aims to describe the implementation of Project-based Learning model using STREAM-based approach (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) on students learning activities and the results of creative products made by students. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The data source was chosen using purposive sampling technique. The research subjects are 3 elementary schools in Banjarmasin city, amounting to 80 students. Data collection techniques were done through observation and product assesment. The results showed that the implementation of the PjBL model using STREAM-based approach had an effect on increasing the result of students learning up to 92.1 (very good), and their activeness in learning activities made them become more creative in designing an interesting product. In this study there were 4 creative products created by the students namely drip irrigation, water cycle, water quality test, and religious-based picture story booklets. The implication of this research is a great opportunity for teachers in elementary schools to use PjBL model using STREAM-based approach in order to increase studentsÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ interest, creativity, and social attitudes in learning.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of flash interactive media in improving students' understanding of concepts in elementary schools. This type of research was mixed methods with an embedded experimental model design. Quantitative data analysis techniques on the variable understanding of the concept, namely the results of the analysis of the students' pretest and posttest questions by using paired sample t-test. The results of the analysis are then triangulated with the qualitative Focus Group Discussion (FGD) data and the results of the interviews. This study involved 54 students who were selected by using the nonprobability sampling technique: purposive sampling. The population consists of 31 public schools and 13 private schools. The results of this study show a significant increase in the concept of understanding in the form of an increase in the average score understanding of concepts by 17.82%. According to questionnaire data that has been distributed, teachers and students respond very well to learning using the flash interactive media. Students' motivation to learn accompanies an increase in their understanding of concepts. It appears that the application of flash interactive media in science learning has a positive impact on increasing motivation that has an impact on increasing students' conceptual understanding.

This research was conducted because of the needs to empower the studenstsÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ environmental awareness character. This research aims to develop a bio-conservation learning model with waste management topics adapted from Project Based Learning model (PjBL) and inquiry and determine the influences of the bio-conservation learning model toward learning outcomes and students environmental awareness. This research is an ADDIE Research and Development. The model consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects consisted of 93 third graders of 02 Santo Antonius Primary School.. The techniques of collecting data were interview, observation, questionnaire, and documentation. The product was a module for teachers with several contents, such as the bio-conservation model's characteristics, goals, and syntaxes. The validation result obtained a percentage of 88.6%. The N-gain of the first experimental group was 0.072 with high criteria. On the other hand, the second experimental group obtained a percentage of 0.514 with moderate criteria. The understanding of environmental awareness attitude was obtained by using a questionnaire and observational sheets. The obtained criteria were categorized high, with average scores of questionnaire 87.2% and observation 85.9%. This research showed the influence of learning outcomes and environmental awareness attitude after using the bio conservation model. The model implementation's emerging characters were waste management and 3R activities (Recycle, Reuse, and Reduce).

The authentic assessment is a teacher’s challenge. The cognitive aspect is central of the continuity in learning development because authentic assessment is considered complicated to implement. The aim of the research is to produce an authentic ICT-based assessment system that is feasible and effective. The research method uses a one group pretest-posttest design with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and tests for 131 fifth grade students with type of development is ADDIE stages. The tools that have been developed are validated and revised according to the suggestions of the media and material validators which are then tested with subjects outside the large group sample before applied in the large group test. The validation results show that the validity of the material is 95.83% and the validity of the media is 97.5% with very decent criteria, observation analysis of responsibility attitude is 88% and cooperation skills 93% with very good criteria. The large group test analysis on the pretest-posttest measures critical thinking skills as part of cognitive which shows the percentage of completeness (KKM>75) of 85% with an N-Gain score of 0.68 in the medium category and received criteria quite effective. Based on the results, it is concluded that an authentic ICT-based assessment instrument is feasible and effective to use to measure the cognitive competence, attitude of responsibility, and cooperation of fifth graders. The application of ICT-based authentic assessment system can measure students’ achievement accurately. ICT-base authentic assessment system developed can be used with flexible in line with the needs of teachers.

This research was established because of the widespread sexual abuse of children. Additionally, students’ learning outcomes on puberty subject matter at SDN Purwoyoso 02 are yet to be considered proper. The aims of this research are developing android based CERMAT (Guide to Puberty) learning media to enhance students’ understanding about puberty on elementary school level; testing the media feasibility; and examining students’ understanding improvement on puberty through the implementation of android based CERMAT learning media. This research was using the RnD method with ADDIE development model (analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The subjects of this research are 6th grade students of SDN Purwoyoso 02 Semarang City. The data were obtained through a test with multiple choices. Through the media, material, and language expert judgements, android based CERMAT learning media was proven to be “very feasible” to be implemented. The results obtained through t-test on students’ pretest and posttest gained sig. (2-tailed) score of 0,000, which means that sig. (2-tailed) 0000 < 0,05 Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted so, android-based CERMAT learning media can enhance students’ understanding about puberty. Meanwhile, the n-gain test of the pretest and posttest obtained a score of 0,57 (57%) and categorized “Quite Effective '' with a score difference of 25,09. Based on the result of the study, it can be inferred that android based CERMAT learning media development is considered feasible and effective in enhancing 6th grade students’ mastery of the subject matter puberty.
