Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged various sectors, including the world of work, to adapt to more modern and efficient systems. Accurate data management and the use of technology such as computers are now a must, especially amidst the demands of globalization and economic dynamics. In this context, websites emerge as relevant media for conveying information, including job vacancies. Currently, the challenges in finding jobs and meeting workforce needs are major problems experienced by many levels of society. Although the recruitment process has been digitized, there is still a gap between the number of vacancies available and qualified job seekers. To overcome this obstacle, the development of a web-based job vacancy information system is considered an effective solution. This system accelerates the dissemination of job vacancy information and facilitates access for job seekers and companies in the recruitment process. This study uses direct observation methods at the Palembang Multipurpose Building and literature studies from various literature for system development. This system is designed using the SDLC model, including the Waterfall and Agile methods, which ensure a structured and flexible development process. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of a web-based job vacancy information system can improve recruitment efficiency, provide wider access for job seekers in Palembang, and help companies get suitable candidates. This system is expected to be an effective means of connecting applicants with job opportunities more easily, quickly and efficiently.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of visiting service policies at the Class II B Kayuagung Correctional Institution during the New Normal era. This policy was implemented in response to the COVID-19 pandemic which required adjustments to visiting procedures to maintain the health and safety of inmates, staff and visitors. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation and document study. The research results show that the visiting service policy at the Class II B Kayuagung Prison includes several significant changes, such as limiting the number of visitors, implementing strict health protocols, and using technology for virtual visits. Although this policy aims to minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19, there are several challenges in its implementation, including limited infrastructure to support virtual visits and resistance from some visitors to new procedures.Further discussion reveals that the successful implementation of this policy is highly dependent on effective outreach, training for officers, as well as improving technological facilities. The conclusion of this research is that although the New Normal era visiting service policy at the Class II B Kayuagung Prison has made a positive contribution in preventing the spread of COVID-19, various efforts are still needed to overcome existing challenges to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of this policy.

Abstract

That study's objective is to develop and develop a web-based information system for renting suits and kebaya in Palembang City. This system is expected to facilitate the process of renting traditional clothing, especially suits and kebayas, for various events and occasions. The system will provide an online platform for customers to browse and select available Suits and Kebayas, make online reservations, and track their rental status. The system will also allow rental service providers to manage inventory, update availability, and accept online payments. The proposed system is expected to boost productivity and effectiveness of the renting procedure, increase customer satisfaction, and increase the competitiveness of rental service providers in Palembang City. The system will be developed using a web-based approach, and its functionality will be evaluated through usability testing and user acceptance testing. Because the information presented basically comes from input data (input), then before entering data you must check the data correctness of data so that the resulting information is appropriate. Prepare hardware and software support whose specifications can support this system well. Perform periodic data back-ups to anticipate undesirable events. This system cannot only be used for one place. It is hoped that this system can be used in all places or areas where the system is not yet computerized to save time and energy.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai karakteristik sedimen di Pantai Sungai Belacan, Kabupaten Sambas, Kalimantan Barat, sangat penting untuk memahami lingkungan pantai dan dinamikanya. Komposisi sedimen, distribusi ukuran butiran, dan proses transpor memegang peranan penting dalam membentuk ekosistem pantai. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sebaran ukuran butir dan karakteristik sedimen serta mengetahui kondisi faktor oseanografi (arus, pasang surut, dan gelombang) di Pantai Sungai Belacan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif, dengan pengumpulan sampel sedimen menggunakan alat Sedimen Grab di delapan lokasi stasiun. Analisis karakteristik sedimen dilakukan melalui pendekatan granulometri dan analisis statistik ukuran butir. Data pendukung berupa kecepatan arus, pasang surut, dan tinggi gelombang signifikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fraksi sedimen didominasi oleh pasir, dengan ukuran butir rata-rata berkisar antara 0,86 "“ 1,56 mm, termasuk kategori pasir sedang dan kasar. Nilai sortasi berkisar antara 1,19 "“ 1,51 dengan kategori terpilah buruk. Nilai skewness antara 2,36 "“ 3,26 dengan kategori condong sangat halus. Nilai kurtosis antara 0,66 "“ 0,87 dengan kategori tumpul dan sangat tumpul. Kecepatan arus rata-rata adalah 0,0413 m/s dan kecepatan maksimal sebesar 0,18 m/s, pola pasang surut campuran condong harian ganda, dan tinggi gelombang signifikan berkisar antara 0,26 "“ 0,61 meter, dengan rata-rata bulanan 0,41 m.

Abstract

Mangroves play a vital role in maintaining environmental, providing habitat for various organisms, and protecting coastal areas from abrasion. In addition, mangroves function as carbon sinks, where a portion of the captured carbon used for energy, and the others stored in plant stuctures. Thus, mangroves significantly contribute to climate change mitigation through carbon sequestration. This study aims to determine the carbon content of mangrove litter from Excoecaria agallocha species in the estuary of Sungai Tanggul, Sungai Nibung Village. Kubu Raya, West Kalimantan. The types of litter measured include leaves, fruits, twigs, and flowers, which were collecter using litter traps. The results showed the total carbon content of the litter was 7.49 tons/ha/year. The largest contribution from leaves litter (5.49 tons/ha/year), followed by twigs (1.90 tons/ha/year), and fruits (0.10 tons/ha/year),while flowers had an insiginificant carbon content.

Abstract

Desa Sungai Nibung is a village located in Teluk Pakedai District, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan. This village is one of the conservation areas established by the Regional Government of West Kalimantan Province in 2020. Desa Sungai Nibung has a high diversity of natural resources, one of which is gastropods. Gastropods are organisms that act as grazers, scavengers, and predators. These organisms can live in waters, coastal and terrestrial. Its diversity has been reported to be more than 75,000 species. Several gastropods have been used by the local community as food with a high protein source. Gastropods found on the coast of Sungai Nibung Village are Ellobium, Cassidula, Nerita, Neritina, Chicoreus, Cerithidea, Littoria, Potamopyrgus, and Onchidium.

Abstract

Desa Sungai Nyirih, as one of the coastal villages in Jawai District, West Kalimantan, has the potential for a mangrove ecosystem with a diversity of aquatic biota, including bivalves. Most of the coastal communities in West Kalimantan catch and consume shellfish because it contains high nutrients. Therefore, shellfish can be an alternative source of animal protein. The aim of the study was to identify the genus of bivalves in the mangrove area of Desa Sungai Nyirih, Jawai District, West Kalimantan. The collection of bivalves was carried out using the exploratory method, as many as ±5 individuals of each genus were collected and all genera of bivalves were identified. The results showed that there were two genera found, such as the cockle (Geloina expansa) and the blood clam (Tegillarca nodifera).

Abstract

Perairan pantai Desa Jawai Laut memiliki potensi ekonomi yang besar, dengan aktifitas perekonomian masyarakat meliputi pariwisata, perikanan tangkap, dan budidaya rumput laut. Aktivas perekonomian masyarakat mendapatkan pengaruh dari abrasi yang terjadi di perairan tersebut. Proses abrasi yang terus berlangsung mengubah pola distribusi sedimen, yang dapat mengakibatkan penurunan kualitas habitat dan berdampak negatif pada kegiatan ekonomi lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik sedimen dasar serta faktor-faktor oseanografi yang mempengaruhinya di Perairan Pantai Desa Jawai Laut. Metode analisis karakteristik sedimen menggunakan metode granulometri dan pendekatan statistik ukuran butir. Titik stasiun pengambilan sampel sedimen berjumlah 8 stasiun. Data pendukung meliputi pasang surut, tinggi gelombang signifikan, dan kecepatan arus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian sebaran fraksi sedimen didominasi oleh jenis sedimen pasir. Nilai ukuran butir rata-rata berkisar di antara 1,72 φ – 2,98  φ dengan kategori pasir halus dan pasir sedang. Nilai sortasi berkisar antara 0,6 φ - 1,08 φ dengan kategori terpilah buruk, terpilah sedang dan terpilah cukup baik. Nilai skewness berkisar antara 4,29 φ - 6,65 φ dengan kategori sangat halus, nilai kurtosis berkisar antara 0,68 φ - 1,04 φ dengan kategori platykurtik dan mesokurtik. Kecepatan arus rata-rata 0,0373 m/s, pola pasang surut campuran condong harian ganda, dan tinggi gelombang signifikan berkisar antara 0,276 - 0,72 meter, dengan tinggi rata-rata bulanan 0,443 meter. Sebaran ukuran butir sedimen di perairan pantai Desa Jawai Laut dipengaruhi oleh arus dan gelombang.  The coastal waters of Jawai Laut Village have great economic potential, with community economic activities including tourism, capture fisheries, and seaweed cultivation. The economic activities of the community are influenced by the abrasion that occurs in these waters. Ongoing abrasion processes change sediment distribution patterns, which can result in degradation of habitat quality and negatively impact local economic activities. This study aims to identify the characteristics of bottom sediments and the oceanographic factors that influence them in the coastal waters of Jawai Laut Village. The methods used in this study are granulometry method and grain size statistical approach. Sediment sampling was conducted at 8 stations. Supporting data for this study includes tidal patterns, significant wave height, and current speed. The results showed the distribution of sediment fractions is dominated by sand sediment types. Average grain size ranges from 1,72 φ – 2,98 φ, classified as fine sand and medium sand, sorting values range from 0,6 φ – 1,08 φ, classified as poorly sorted, moderately sorted and moderately well sorted, skewness value ranges from 4,29 φ – 6,65 φ classified as very fine skewed, kurtosis value ranges from 0,68 φ – 1,04 φ classified as platykurtic and mesokurtic. An average current speed of 0,0373 m/s, mixed tide prevailing semi-diurnal as tidal pattern, and significant wave heights ranging from 0,276 – 0,72 meters, with a monthly average height of 0,443 meters. The grain size distribution of sediments in the coastal waters of Jawai Laut Village is influenced by currents and waves.

Abstract

Rice husk ash (RHA) is an agricultural waste rich in silica with potential as a partial cement substitute in mortar to support sustainable construction. This study evaluates the effect of varying RHA content on the compressive strength and porosity of mortar at 28 and 240 days of age. Mortar was prepared with RHA substitutions of 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30% by cement weight. Compressive strength was tested according to SK SNI 03-2834-2000, while porosity testing followed ASTM C642 standard. The results showed that 20% RHA substitution provided high compressive strength with acceptable porosity. In contrast, 30% RHA significantly increased porosity and sharply reduced compressive strength. These findings suggest that using RHA in the range of 10–20% can improve material efficiency without compromising mechanical performance. The study supports the development of environmentally friendly construction materials through the optimal use of agricultural waste.

Abstract

Strategi penjadwalan perawatan sistem pendukung mesin utama memiliki peran yang sangat penting demi kelangsungan beroperasinya mesin utama dikapal. Sistem penunjang mesin utama terdiri dari sistem bahan bakar, sistem pelumas, dan sistem pendingin. Oleh karena itu apabila terjadi kegagalan pada salah satu sistemnya, kondisi ini tidak hanya berdampak pada mesin utama tetapi hal ini juga mempengaruhi operasional kapal. Dengan begitu pentingnya peran sistem penunjang mesin utama tentunya membutuhkan suatu penjadwalan perawatan yang baik sehingga dapat mencegah terjadinya kegagalan sistem. Dalam penelitian ini dianalisa dan di identifikasi kegiatan penjadwalan preventive maintenance berdasarkan efek perawatan dengan metode dinamika system. Efek perawatan didasarkan pada nilai availability dan keandalan komponen sistem pendukung mesin utama kapal. Penjadwalan perawatan berdasarkan efek perawatan dimodelkan dengan dinamika sistem. Analisa menggunakan Powersim Software dimana hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa komponen yang direkomendasikan untuk melakukan perawatan dengan nilai keandalan 0,55 atau 55% dengan peluang sukses komponen sedikit lebih tinggi dibanding peluang gagalnya. Dan dengan metode Birnbaum’s Criticality Measure dan Veselly Fussel didapatkan hasil untuk sistem bahan bakar komponen filter mempunyai tingkat kekritisan paling tinggi. Untuk sistem pelumas, komponen Oil Filter mempunyai tingkat kekritisan paling tinggi dan untuk sistem pendingin Sea chest filter mempunyai tingkat kekritisan paling tinggi. Semua jadwal perawatan ditentukan berdasarkan keandalan sistem untuk mengurangi biaya perawatan dan dalam rangka untuk menghindari terjadinya kegagalan sistem. Optimasi biaya yang didapatkan untuk sistem bahan bakar sebesar 53%, sistem pelumas sebesar 30% dan sistem pendingin sebesar 36%.
