Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of game-based Joyful Learning in enhancing students’ motivation and learning activeness in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMP Negeri 2 Sumber, Cirebon Regency. A quantitative approach with a descriptive-associative design was employed to measure the effect of Game-Based Learning on both dependent variables. The research sample consisted of 76 ninth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires, observations, and open interviews, and analyzed using MANOVA with SPSS version 25.0. The results revealed that game-based Joyful Learning had a significant and strong effect on students’ learning motivation (η² = 0.730) and activeness (η² = 0.754). Multivariate analysis further confirmed a simultaneous significant effect (Sig. = 0.000) between both variables. The approach successfully fostered an interactive, enjoyable, and meaningful learning environment, encouraging students’ cognitive, affective, and social engagement. This study concludes that game-based Joyful Learning is an effective strategy to enhance the quality of Islamic Religious Education in the digital era.

Abstract

The program proposes and evaluates the implementation of a training titled "Enhancing Competence in Back End Web Programming: JavaScript Training for Students" with the aim of preparing students in web programming competency in the back end domain. A preliminary study is conducted to analyze the initial competency level of students in JavaScript, which serves as the basis for designing a suitable training program. The program is implemented according to the established plan and schedule, while evaluation is carried out by monitoring participant participation and their responses during the socialization activities. The research results are expected to provide an understanding of the effectiveness of the program in enhancing JavaScript skills for back end website development. The conclusions drawn from this research are expected to provide a foundation for the development of students' web programming competencies, particularly in the use of JavaScript for back end development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis buku ajar Al Qur’an Hadits untuk siswa kelas VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah (KMA Tahun 2020) dari perspektif pendidikan karakter, terutama pada aspek afektif. Tujuan utama pembelajaran mencakup penerimaan Al-Qur’an dan Hadis sebagai pedoman hidup serta penerapan sikap tanggung jawab dalam berperilaku. Materi pada bab "Al Qur’an dan Hadits Pedoman Hidupku" serta "Merenungkan Kekuasaan Allah Swt dan Menggapai Rahmatnya" mencakup aspek kognitif dan afektif, dengan fokus pada pengembangan sikap spiritual dan sosial melalui penggunaan media seperti gambar, tabel, dan kisah. Metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan termasuk diskusi, membaca, menghafal, dan analisis yang mendukung kolaborasi dan penghormatan terhadap pendapat orang lain. Evaluasi mencakup pertanyaan yang menilai pemahaman sikap spiritual dan sosial siswa. Meskipun buku ini memenuhi aspek pendidikan karakter, terdapat kekurangan pada dimensi digital pembelajaran seperti video atau audio pendukung.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed academic practices, particularly in supporting the development of students’ academic writing. However, empirical evidence explaining how AI utilization, automatic feedback, and personalized learning contribute to writing performance in higher education remains limited. This study examines the effects of AI utilization, AI-based automatic feedback, and AI-driven personalized learning on Students’ Academic Writing Skills (SAWS). Using an explanatory quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, data were collected from 88 Indonesian university students through purposive sampling. Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed to evaluate the measurement and structural models. The findings show that Automatic Feedback Based on AI (AFBAI) is the strongest predictor of SAWS (β = 0.531; p = 0.000). The Utilization of AI Technology (UAIT) also has a significant positive effect (β = 0.290; p = 0.007), indicating that frequent use of AI tools contributes to improved writing skills. Conversely, Personalized Learning Based on AI (PLBAI) has no significant direct effect (β = 0.053; p = 0.350). The structural model demonstrates substantial predictive power with an R² value of 0.660. AI technologies play an essential role in enhancing academic writing performance, especially through automated feedback and consistent utilization. However, AI-driven personalized learning systems still require further optimization and deeper user engagement to meaningfully support the development of complex writing competencies.

Abstract

The celebration of the Prophet's birthday in Jambe Village, which has been going on for generations as a religious and cultural tradition, shows a change in values in recent years. This change is reflected in the emergence of behavior that is considered deviant, such as excessive entertainment and lack of attention to spiritual aspects. This phenomenon indicates a transformation of values due to the influence of modernization which affects the balance between religious values and local culture. This article aims to: 1) Identify the religious and cultural values contained in the celebration of the Prophet's birthday in Jambe village. 2) Analyze the value transformation that occurs during the celebration. 3) Explore the factors that cause the transformation of values in the celebration of the Prophet's birthday in Jambe village. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to reveal facts in depth based on existing conditions. The location of the research was Jambe Village, Kertasemaya District, Indramayu Regency. Data sources consist of primary data through observations and interviews with the Prophet's birthday celebration committee, religious leaders, village government, and residents of Jambe Village, as well as secondary data in the form of related documents. In Jambe Village, the Prophet's Birthday Celebration combines religious and cultural values such as love, care, honesty, example, spirit of worship, and cultural enrichment through traditional music. However, significant values change with time. The essence of the celebration, which was originally full of religious meaning, began to shift. As a result, there are difficulties in maintaining the original values of the Prophet's birthday.

Abstract

In Tazkiyatun Nafs is a concept of purification of the soul that aims to cleanse oneself of diseases of the heart and despicable morals, so that a Muslim can reach a higher spiritual state and obtain inner peace. Emotional control, in the Islamic context, refers to the ability of a Muslim to manage and direct the emotions that arise in him in accordance with the principles of Islamic teachings.    The purpose of this literature review article is to explore and explain the influence of tazkiyatun nafs, which is self-purification in a spiritual and psychological context, on emotional control from an Islamic perspective. This article uses a literature review approach. The literature search was conducted online through Google Scholar which was limited from 2012-2022 with the search process using the keywords “tazkiyatun nafs”, “self-control”, “Islamic perspective”. The analysis conducted by researchers can be concluded that tazkiyatun nafs is a powerful concept in Islam that focuses on spiritual purification and self-control as a means of controlling emotions. However, this article also highlights some weaknesses in the application of Tazkiyatun Nafs, including the high commitment required and the challenges in understanding the concept. Some people may experience difficulties in managing their negative emotions despite their efforts to apply Tazkiyatun Nafs.The importance of understanding and using Tazkiyatun Nafs to control emotions from an Islamic perspective is a key point emphasized in this article. In an effort to achieve emotional balance and inner peace, Tazkiyatun Nafs can be a powerful tool to shape a wiser and more compassionate individual.
