Abstract

Recent frameworks in digital flourishing and self-regulation highlight that intrapersonal regulatory abilities are vital in shaping individuals’ well-being in online environments; however, empirical evidence linking these mechanisms among university students remains scarce. To address this gap, this study investigates the relationship between self-control and digital well-being and examines online mindfulness as a mediating psychological factor. A total of 300 undergraduate students (122 males and 178 females; aged 18–23 years) completed validated measures of self-control, online mindfulness (adapted from MAAS), and digital well-being. A mediation analysis using Hayes’ PROCESS macro with 5,000 bootstrap samples was conducted. Self-control significantly predicted digital well-being directly (β = .348, SE = 0.053, t = 6.61, p < .001; 95% CI [.244, .452]) and indirectly through online mindfulness (β = .178; 95% CI [.118, .246]), indicating partial mediation. Self-control also strongly predicted online mindfulness (β = .421, SE = .053, t = 7.89, p < .001), and online mindfulness significantly predicted digital well-being after controlling for self-control (β = .422, SE = .043, t = 9.81, p < .001). Gender-specific analyses showed consistent mediation patterns for males (indirect effect = 0.167; 95% CI [.094, .248]) and females (indirect effect = .184; 95% CI [.122, .259]). These findings enhance theoretical understanding by clarifying how self-regulatory capacity boosts digital well-being through mindful online awareness. Practically, the results provide an empirical foundation for designing digital-based guidance and counselling interventions that encourage online mindfulness to promote healthier technology engagement among students.

Abstract

Child marriage is marriage under the recommended age by law, namely 19 years. Kendal Regency is an area with a high child marriage rate. This is shown by the Kendal PA Statistics Data, 2022 requests for dispensation for marriage, namely 253 in 2021 and 348 in 2022. One of the areas with a high marriage rate is Boja District. The rise of child marriage in Boja District is caused by various factors, including the sophistication of technology, communication information, low economic level, and promiscuity. The methods used are the lecture method, and the question-and-answer method. Measurement of the level of understanding is carried out by pre test and post test. The results of the service revealed that the level of understanding of members of the Puguh Village Karang Taruna regarding child marriage was quite good, but in terms of the minimum age limit for marriage there were still many mistakes. If a child's education is forced to drop out of formal school, then the right treatment is to continue to non-formal school through the Independent Learning Activity Center (PKBM).

Abstract

Abstract

Initial investigations revealed that the typical student experiences a diminished level of well-being. This research aims to delve into the happiness patterns among students, scrutinize the underlying factors, and ascertain methods for enhancing their happiness. Employing a phenomenological qualitative approach, the study elucidates that students perceive happiness subjectively. Additionally, it explores the determinants influencing student happiness and strategies for augmenting their well-being within the Islamic boarding school environment. Happiness is interpreted by students at the salafiyah/traditional Islamic boarding school as a feeling filled with togetherness, simplicity and oriented towards achieving the goals of the world and the hereafter. Factors that support the happiness of students from within are acceptance, openness, calmness, resilience, self-control and good time management. While the determinants of the happiness of students who come from the first environment are attachment and parental support, peer support and support from pesantren through kyai/ustadz. The article can significantly contribute to our understanding of students' lives in Salafiyah traditional Islamic boarding schools and has practical implications for enhancing the quality of education and student well-being in that context

Abstract

Background: This study was driven by the low level of students’ learning discipline, as reflected in behaviours such as tardiness, lack of classroom orderliness, and delays in submitting assignments. These conditions highlight the need for innovative classical guidance services that align with current technological developments to foster more structured and responsible learning habits. Objective: The study aimed to enhance the learning discipline of tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 12 Semarang through the implementation of classical guidance using a Canva-based Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. Method: This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in a pre-cycle, Cycle I, and Cycle II. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The participants were 33 tenth-grade students. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets to assess students’ learning discipline in each cycle. Results: The findings showed a gradual improvement in students’ learning discipline across cycles. This improvement was reflected in the increasing percentage of students categorised as disciplined and highly disciplined, as well as in enhanced responsibility, punctuality, and active participation in learning activities. Conclusion: The implementation of classical guidance through a Canva-based PjBL model proved effective in improving students’ learning discipline. Contribution: Practically, this study provides an alternative technology-based classical guidance service model. Theoretically, it strengthens the application of Classroom Action Research in developing students’ disciplinary character within a digital learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine spiritual values in counseling practice and their implementation in the context of education and mental health through a systematic literature review (SLR) approach. The method used is SLR with the PRISMA protocol to analyze the latest journals (2019-2025) regarding the integration of spirituality in counseling. Of the 1,245 articles identified in the initial stage, 47 articles met the inclusion criteria for the final synthesis. The results of the study indicate that spiritual values have an important role in increasing the effectiveness of counseling interventions, forming deeper therapeutic relationships, and supporting clients' psychological well-being holistically. The spiritual dimension in counseling includes aspects of the meaning of life, transcendence, connection with a higher power, and development of clients' spiritual capacities. The implementation of spiritual values in counseling can be done through an approach that respects the diversity of clients' beliefs, mindfulness-based techniques, and exploration of the meaning of life. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of integrating spiritual values in modern counseling practice as an essential component for comprehensive and holistic counseling.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of group leaders as catalysts of group dynamics in psychoeducation through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The method used refers to the PRISMA protocol, with stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. Data sources were obtained from Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, SAGE Journals, and MDPI, with publications spanning 2019–2026. Based on the selection process, 10 articles were selected and analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results indicate that the effectiveness of group psychoeducation is significantly influenced by the quality of the group dynamics established during the process. In this regard, the group leader acts as a catalyst, actively facilitating, directing, and optimizing interactions between members. This role includes facilitating dynamics, creating a safe psychological climate, managing interactions and conflicts, and constructing an inclusive interaction space. These findings confirm that group leaders act not merely as passive facilitators but as active agents accelerating the process of psychological change through effective group dynamics. Therefore, strengthening group leadership competencies is a crucial aspect in improving the quality of group psychoeducation services.
