Abstract

Despite its applaudable economic benefits (Fleischer & Felsenstein 2000, Goodwin 2008), over-tourism could cause detrimental effects on environment and local cultures. Ecotourism as one of the fastest growing industries in the world (UNWTO, 2001; Self et al, 2010) that balances between economic opportunity as well as cultural and natural preservation should be pervasively applied in Indonesia with abundant natural and cultural competitiveness as the third largest biodiversity in the world after Brazil and Zaire (Janita, 2012). Previous studies revealed the needs to conduct research on responsible marketing and very limited studies investigate responsible product development for bamboo ecotourism concept. Hence, this quantitative study with 64 respondents (18-53 y-o) aims at examining Indonesian domestic market needs and trends as a basis to design responsible bamboo ecotourism products as a part of responsible marketing efforts in Sembalun Lawang, Lombok, Indonesia. This study was carried out through online questionnaire by attaching short-video and description about Sembalun Lawang bamboo forest attractions for ecotourism. The research result shows that 92% of respondents found the bamboo forest is attractive and suitable for ecotourism concept. Among 18 potential activities, the study shows top five desired bamboo ecotourism activities encompassing; picture taking at natural spots, nature walk, learning about local culture on bamboo usage, learning about types and benefits of bamboo plants, and enjoying surrounding fauna and flora. Since the study is confined to Indonesian domestic market research, further research should be carried out to examine international market research trend for responsible bamboo ecotourism development.

Abstract

Startups that need a comprehensive approach to managing Knowledge Management (KM) in a digital context face a significant challenge in taking advantage of the opportunities presented by digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, which are reshaping marketing organizations. There is a pressing need for more strategic marketing expertise to drive business value creation, and digital transformation and AI technologies offer great promise to help businesses overcome obstacles, challenges in practical application, and this shortage. In this paper, we take a resource-centric look at a central question: how can young companies with few resources and few employees push digital transformation in marketing forward? Integrating the methods of Knowledge Management and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), as in Customer Knowledge Management (CKM), can be crucial to achieving this objective. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods to analyze the research results. This research reveals that companies with limited capabilities and resources can still adopt technological developments in conducting marketing. Marketing departments can benefit from the big data that AI provides by mining it for useful customer insights that can be used to bolster customer relationship management strategies. Organizational factors such as customer focus, a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing, strategy and support from top management, an organized structure, and the integration of functions are crucial to the success of CKM in the business.

Abstract

Kata kunci: Perspektif, Sumber Daya Manusia Pariwisata, Industry 4.0ABSTRACTThe development of technology brings an atmosphere of change in all aspects of human life, especially changes in human relations patterns, formerly shaking hands when transacting, face to face changing dramatically enough transactions by touch through cellphone screens, communicating not enough listening voice but can also face each other face to face through screen to screen, with the pretext of easy and efficient. This is a sign that there has been a fourth industrial revolution era or industry 4.0. The progress of science in the field of technology also gives its own color for the development of the business world, because some types of industries have used internet technology in the production process, including the industry in tourism, with the google search engine type voice search or certain applications can help find what is needed, such as hotels, travel, restaurants, even the distance of a tourist destination, the price of food and drinks and so on can be found quickly. Abstract

ABSTRACTLombok tourism development shows an increase in the number of significant tourist visits until August 2018 totaling 2,469,026 wisnu and foreign tourists. The increase in visits has not been offset by the participation of local communities in the development of tourist destinations in North Lombok Regency. The purpose of this study is (1) to examine the forms of past local community participation in supporting the development of Gumantar North Lombok tourist destinations; (2) to study the current forms of community participation of local and village governments in supporting the development of Gumantar North Lombok tourist destinations; (3) to study the future forms of Community Participation and provide recommendations for involving the community in participating in the development of tourist destinations in the Gumantar tourism village of North Lombok. The research method used is a collaboration between qualitative and quantitative approaches using data collection techniques through direct observation (observation), in-depth interviews (depth interviews), data processing using qualitative descriptive analysis presented in narrative form. The results of the study show that differences in community participation from the past tend to be very simple participatory, obedient to the rules of custom / awig law, ethical and polite in expressing opinions so that past participation is very strong in the development of tourist destinations. The participation of today's society still shows adherence and adheres to the rules of customary law / awig, ethics and courtesy in expressing opinions is more critical because the influence of information technology that has penetrated into the village and the role of the government began to show its existence, so that the participation of today's society tends to experience weakening in the development of tourist destinations. While future community participation is suspected to show a more apathetic and critical tendency because of an increase in better levels of public education, a consumptive lifestyle, modernization of facilities, infrastructure available in the village, the dominant role of the government in developing tourist destinations and community empowermentKey words: Participation, community, tourist destination

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether empowerment can mediate the effects of servant leadership and perceived organization on employee loyalty. This study uses a quantitative approach that consists of two exogenous variables, such as servant leadership and perceived organization, one endogenous variable, namely employee loyalty, and one intervening variable, which is employee empowerment. The data used is primary data obtained directly from respondents, including as many as 143 members of the FPMPI Kopertais 4 association. The research instrument used a Likert scale of 1–5, while the data analysis used SEM diagram analysis, which was processed using Amos Structural Equation Modelling. The results of the study show that servant leadership, perceived organization, and empowerment have a significant effect on employee loyalty directly, while the indirect effect of servant leadership and perceived organization on employee loyalty through employee empowerment has a significant influence. These results indicate that empowerment is able to mediate exogenous and endogenous variables.
