Abstract

The Subject Teacher Conference (MGMP) as an association or association of teachers plays a strategic role in improving and strengthening teacher competence through discussion and training. Its main role is to facilitate teachers in the same field of study in exchanging opinions and experiences. However, there are still many teachers who are not active so that they do not develop and are static even though they have participated in MGMP activities. In addition, due to the limited number of roles that can be performed by the MGMP, the ability of teachers to teach as indicated by the indicators of student success is still low. The purpose of this study was to find out how "the revitalization of the MGMP Program To Improve the Pedagogic Competence of Science Teachers at SMA in Karawang Regency is actually through the "POAC" management theory approach from GR Terry. In particular, this study describes and analyzes (1) planning, (2) organizing, (3) implementing and (4) assessing the MGMP in science subjects. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Collecting data by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation studies as well as validation of research results. The results of the study indicate that the MGMP Revitalization Program is a classification of the findings from the identification process of the MGMP Revitalization Program which is carried out specifically so that the profile obtained in the MGMP is based on factual, objective and precise data. The follow up in the MGMP Program Revitalization lies in understanding the teacher team and how they must coordinate, cooperate and follow up when handling MGMP.

Abstract

This research is motivated by various problems related to the quality and relevance of Indonesian education which are the main issues. Indicators of quality education are marked by graduates who have superior competencies and are able to compete in the business world and industry for graduates from Vocational Secondary Education. Quality vocational education applying quality standards can contribute to the country's economic development, but it still cannot be realized optimally at the time of its implementation. Such conditions occur in SMK graduates in Indonesia so that the open unemployment of SMK graduates is getting bigger. It is interesting to do further research to find out why and how this happened and find solutions to the problems faced. Dual Based Assessment (DuBA) on the vocational skills aspect is expected to be a solution in ensuring the quality of skills at the Center of Excellence Vocational High School and Vocational Schools in general. In particular, this study describes and analyzes the "Daming Cycle" quality management approach from William Edward Deming, with its management principles approach which include: Plan, Do, Check and Action Dual Based Assessment in Improving Skills Quality at SMK Center of Excellence. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach through interview data collection techniques, documentation studies and observations at the research location of Pertiwi Kuningan Vocational School, West Java. Abstract

The importance of education in the formation of quality human resources must be followed by the development of the quality of education available in each region. However, until now the development of education in Indonesia is still uneven. One of the government's efforts is to issue a regulation that requires every Indonesian citizen to complete 9 years of compulsory education. So educational services must be followed by good quality educational services as well. This will affect the level of public interest in completing the 9-year compulsory education. The purpose of this study was to determine the current level of education services at the relevant education offices, to be able to respond to community needs and services in the field. By analyzing community satisfaction, the government can improve the quality of education services. By referring to how much the policies and activities of public organizations are needed by the community. Accountability indicators are measured by the ability of officers to achieve service results and benefits, the ability of officers to demonstrate the level of achievement of predetermined targets, the ability of related human resources to carry out service tasks and the ability of officers to solve problems in educational services.

Abstract

This study examines the relevance of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in shaping the ethics and character of vocational high school students in modern life. The rapid development of digital technology, globalization, and changing social values poses moral and ethical challenges for students, particularly those in vocational education who are prepared to enter the world of work. This research aims to analyze the role, strategies, and relevance of Islamic Religious Education in forming ethical and character values among students at SMK Bandung Selatan 1 Bandung and SMK Aqua Vitae Bandung. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving school principals, Islamic education teachers, students, and relevant school documents. The findings reveal that Islamic Religious Education plays a significant role in developing students’ ethical behavior and character through contextual learning, teacher role modeling, religious habituation, and integration of Islamic values with modern life and work ethics. However, challenges such as limited instructional time, diverse student backgrounds, and the influence of digital culture remain obstacles. The study concludes that Islamic Religious Education remains highly relevant in fostering ethical, responsible, and morally grounded vocational school graduates when implemented contextually and supported by collaboration among schools, families, and communities.
