Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the role of management practices and Islamic Entrepreneurial Leadership in enhancing organizational effectiveness of Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia, with Islamic work ethic as an additional predictor variable. The research employed a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the SEMinR package. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 250 lecturers at Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Swasta (PTKIS) across Indonesia, yielding 218 valid responses. The measurement model demonstrated excellent reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha > 0.86) and validity (AVE > 0.71) for all constructs. The structural model revealed that Islamic work ethic (β = 0.756, t = 32.575) and Islamic Entrepreneurial Leadership (β = 0.744, t = 24.473) significantly and positively influence organizational effectiveness, while management practices exhibited a significant negative effect (β = -0.508, t = -24.082). The model explained 99.25% of the variance in organizational effectiveness (R² = 0.9925). These findings suggest that Islamic educational institutions should prioritize cultivating Islamic work ethic values and developing Islamic Entrepreneurial Leadership capacity, while critically re-evaluating existing management practices that may be overly bureaucratic or misaligned with institutional goals. This study contributes to the limited empirical evidence on organizational effectiveness in the unique context of Islamic higher education institutions in Indonesia

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kinerja guru Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMA/SMK Kota Padangsidimpuan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh guru Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMA/SMK Kota Padangsidimpuan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda untuk mengetahui pengaruh secara parsial maupun simultan antara variabel kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kinerja guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru Pendidikan Agama Islam; (2) motivasi berprestasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru Pendidikan Agama Islam; dan (3) kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah dan motivasi berprestasi secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMA/SMK Kota Padangsidimpuan. Dengan demikian, peningkatan kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah dan motivasi berprestasi guru perlu mendapat perhatian serius guna meningkatkan kualitas kinerja guru dan mutu pendidikan secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Utilization is the process of making something more beneficial. In this study, utilization refers to how students use the time provided by teachers to access religious websites. The Linktree application is a platform that integrates various links into a single page, making learning easier for users. The advantages of Linktree include ease of operation, display management, as well as adding and removing links. This application can be used for learning evaluations such as quizzes, matching exercises, and short essays. According to Zaccaria, Linktree is an optimal alternative for learning. This research is qualitative, focusing on the utilization of learning media at MTs N 5 Kabupaten Mandailing Natal. Linktree enriches teachers' and students' knowledge in using online media. Religious teachers use it to develop students' character through active interaction. Additionally, Linktree serves as a solution for students who fall behind in their studies. As an interactive tool, teachers can set learning boundaries in an online format. Remedial learning through Linktree allows students to reach the expected minimum competency standards. Thus, this application is an innovation in enhancing learning effectiveness in the school environment.

Abstract

The learning of Qur’an and Hadith plays a significant role in shaping students’ character and social attitudes. However, at MTsN Persiapan 3 Padangsidimpuan, there are still challenges such as limited teaching materials and insufficient media to support students' understanding of social values. This study aims to develop Qur’an and Hadith instructional materials to improve students’ social attitudes using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The analysis phase identified students’ needs, followed by the design of instructional materials based on Qur’anic and Hadith values. The development stage included expert validation and limited trials. Implementation was carried out with Grade VII students. Validation results indicated the materials were highly valid: subject matter experts (93.1%), media experts (94%), and language experts (93.1%). The practicality was also high, with positive responses from students (81%) and Qur’an-Hadith teachers (87.5%). The effectiveness of the materials in enhancing social attitudes—such as empathy, cooperation, and social responsibility—was very satisfactory, with a score of 2.220 and a percentage of 85.3%. Therefore, the developed instructional materials are considered appropriate and effective for use in Qur’an and Hadith learning at MTsN Persiapan 3 Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

This study examines the role of transformational leadership and self-efficacy in explaining lecturer performance in fulfilling the Tri Dharma of higher education, namely teaching, research, and community service. Using a quantitative survey design, data were collected from 112 lecturers at IAIN Curup through a structured questionnaire measuring transformational leadership, self-efficacy, and lecturer performance. The data were analysed using regression-based simple mediation analysis to test the direct effect of transformational leadership on lecturer performance and its indirect effect through self-efficacy. The findings show that transformational leadership had a small positive direct effect on lecturer performance (β = 0.150, p = 0.037), and self-efficacy had a small positive effect on lecturer performance (β = 0.198, p = 0.042). Transformational leadership had a weak positive effect on self-efficacy (β = 0.154, p = 0.039). The indirect effect through self-efficacy was very small (β = 0.030), although the bootstrapped 95% confidence interval did not include zero. These results indicate that self-efficacy functions as a statistically supported but practically limited mediator. The study contributes to Islamic education management by showing that transformational leadership and self-efficacy remain relevant in Indonesian Islamic higher education. Still, their explanatory power is limited without broader institutional variables such as workload, governance, research support, and professional development. However, the study is limited by its single-institution cross-sectional design and reliance on self-reported data. Future research should implement longitudinal or mixed-method designs across multiple institutions, using structural equation modelling to test comprehensive moderated-mediation frameworks that explicitly integrate macro-organisational variables such as workload distribution, institutional governance, publication support, and administrative constraints.

Abstract

Kurangnya minat dan pemahaman siswa terhadap matematika, khususnya aljabar, menjadi pendorong penelitian ini. Siswa menganggap matematika sebagai mata pelajaran yang menantang dan membosankan karena pendekatan tradisional masih mendominasi proses pembelajaran dan teknologi pembelajaran jarang digunakan. Tujuan proyek ini adalah untuk menyediakan materi pembelajaran berbasis Powtoon yang dapat dipercaya, bermanfaat, dan efisien serta kontekstual untuk matematika. Model pengembangan sepuluh tahap Borg dan Gall digunakan dalam metodologi penelitian dan pengembangan (RD). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas tujuh MT. S Al-Azhar Bi'ibadillah. Penilaian hasil belajar, wawancara, dan kuesioner digunakan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Menurut temuan, materi pembelajaran berbasis Powtoon menerima peringkat validitas 88%, yang dianggap cukup valid. Tingkat kepraktisan adalah 97% untuk uji coba siswa pertama, 94% untuk kategori sangat praktis dalam pengujian lapangan, dan 90% untuk guru. Nilai rata-rata siswa pada ujian efektivitas meningkat dari 47,29 menjadi 90,00, dengan skor N-Gain yang tinggi yaitu 0,81. Pada ambang batas signifikansi 0,05, hasil uji t satu sampel menunjukkan bahwa t_count=6,91 lebih besar dari t_table=2,06. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan sumber belajar berbasis Powtoon dengan pendekatan kontekstual dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan, minat, dan hasil belajar siswa dalam topik aljabar.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the still low ability of students to recite nagham independently and the use of learning media that are still simple and only audio-based without visualization of tone patterns and vocal techniques. This study aims to develop an audio-visual based training media for the art of Qur’anic recitation that is valid, practical, and effective in improving the tilawah abilities of students at Rumah Qur’an Kota Padangsidimpuan. The research method used was Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and tilawah ability tests. The results of the study showed that the developed media achieved a very valid level of validity, with media expert validation scores of 90%, material expert scores of 92%, and learning expert scores of 96%. The practicality level obtained scores of 80% and 95.5%, categorized as practical and very practical, while the effectiveness level obtained a student response score of 89%. Therefore, the audio-visual based training media for the art of Qur’anic recitation was declared feasible, practical, and effective for use in learning Qur’anic tilawah.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation and effectiveness of using learning media in the form of link platforms for students at the Islamic Education College (STIT) Padang Lawas Gunung Tua as a form of Community Service (PKM). This activity aims to improve digital literacy and pedagogical technology competence of students as prospective educators in the digital era. The implementation method involved 3rd and 5th semester students through two intensive training sessions that included concept presentations, technical demonstrations, and hands-on practice in creating link platform-based learning media such as Google Sites, Canva, and simple Learning Management Systems (LMS). Evaluation results show that this training successfully improved students' understanding of technology concepts and applications in learning. There was an increase in practical skills in managing digital content, creating interactive media, and integrating multimedia in one easily accessible platform. Students also demonstrated new awareness about the importance of digital literacy and ethics in using online content. Additionally, a commitment emerged to apply these skills in future teaching practices. It is concluded that this hands-on practice-based training is effective in strengthening students' pedagogical technology competencies while also contributing positively to developing the quality of prospective educators at STIT Padang Lawas Gunung Tua. Similar sustainable activities with intensive mentoring are recommended to strengthen impact and build a sustainable digital learning ecosystem.
