Abstract

Economic development is determined by many factors, for example by the state of natural resources, human resource capabilities, and technology. Many countries are expanding references to political-economic development that still focus on the availability of their natural resources. Experience in some developed countries such as Japan and Singapore shows that the availability of natural resources is in fact not a dominant factor in political-economic development. Countries with limited natural resources have, it turns out to have a comparative advantage in the field of human resources and technology. The development of human resources needs to get dominant attention due to the limitations of its natural resources. The responsibility for development lies with the community and the government.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the development of small and micro enterprises has increased significantly every year. This informs that the interest in entrepreneurship in Indonesia is very high. In the future, it is expected to become one of the pioneers of stimulus for economic progress in developed countries. The main purpose of this study was to analyze and examine the effect of entrepreneurship knowledge, self-efficacy, and social media utilization on student entrepreneurial interest in universities in Pematangsiantar City. This study's research method includes library and field research design with a quantitative approach. The research subjects taken in this study were SME actors in the culinary sector in Pematangsiantar City. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis method used is Partial Least Square (PLS). The study stated positive and significant results between entrepreneurship knowledge, self-efficacy, and social media utilization with entrepreneurial interest. The implications of this study conclude in the digital age when in this case, substantial knowledge from students about entrepreneurship is needed to turn ideas into businesses in order to be able to realize their visions into reality.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to determine the contribution of transformational leadership, psychological empowerment, and knowledge sharing to innovative work behavior. This study's research method includes library and field research design with a quantitative approach. The research subjects taken in this study were SME actors in the culinary sector in Pematangsiantar City. The research was carried out in eight sub-districts in Pematangsiantar City. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis method used is Partial Least Square (PLS). The data analysis test tool uses the Smartpls statistical software. The results of the data analysis concluded that transformational leadership, psychological empowerment, and knowledge sharing positively and significantly affect innovative work behavior. The theoretical implication of this study concludes that aspects of knowledge sharing, psychological empowerment, and transformational leadership are important stimulants to encourage innovative work behavior. Furthermore, the managerial implications in this study conclude that aspects of knowledge sharing, psychological empowerment, and transformational leadership require serious attention for business actors to encourage more innovative work behavior.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to analyze the effect of transformational leadership and organizational climate on employee engagement and innovative work behavior. The research method in this study included library and field research designs with a quantitative approach. The research subjects taken in this study were employees who worked in hotels in the Lake Toba Tourism Area. The number of samples analyzed was 170 employees. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis method used is Partial Least Square (PLS). The data analysis test tool uses the Smartpls statistical software. The results of the data analysis concluded that transformational leadership, organizational climate, and employee engagement positively and significantly influence innovative work behavior. The results of subsequent studies confirm that transformational leadership significantly affects employee engagement. The results of this study also suggest that organizational climate has no significant effect on employee engagement. Furthermore, the managerial implications of this research suggest that to increase employee engagement and innovative work behavior, companies can provide employees with opportunities to learn and develop. Employees who feel empowered and have opportunities to learn and develop are likelier to be engaged and innovative. Abstract

This study analyzes the model of increasing visitor loyalty to Lake Toba tourist destinations through destination image management, experiential marketing and integrated marketing communication. The sampling method used in this study is the convenience sampling method. The number of samples analyzed was 160 Lake Toba tourism visitors. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis method used is Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of the data analysis concluded that destination image, experiential marketing, and integrated marketing communication (IMC) have a positive and significant effect on visitor loyalty. The implications of this research explain that Lake Toba tourism actors need to measure the image of the destination regularly, the effectiveness of experiential marketing campaigns, and the impact of IMC on visitor loyalty is significant. This data can help management understand trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and evaluate the success of implemented strategies. In addition, Lake Toba tourism actors need to conduct training and develop employee capabilities to be more skilled in communicating and serving tourist visitors. Employees and staff interacting directly with visitors must be trained to provide friendly, informative service and help with visitor complaints.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the model of reinforcing innovative work behavior regarding self-efficacy, knowledge sharing, and organizational creative climate as predictors. The population in this study comes from primary data obtained from the field, namely MSME players in the Lake Toba Tourism area. The sampling method used in this research is the convenience sampling method. The number of samples analyzed was 170 MSME actors. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis method used is Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of the data analysis concluded that self-efficacy, knowledge sharing, and organizational creative climate had a positive and significant effect on innovative work behavior. The implication of this research is measuring the level of innovative work behavior within organizations, identifying trends of change over time, and measuring the level of self-efficacy, knowledge sharing, and organizational creative climate within organizations regularly. In addition, MSME actors can provide constructive feedback on employee performance in self-efficacy, knowledge sharing, and organizational creative climate. This condition can help employees improve their ways of innovating at work.

Abstract

This research aims to build a model for strengthening employee engagement in the creative industry by examining the role of self-efficacy and perceived organizational support as the main predictors. This research uses quantitative methods to survey employees in various creative industry sectors in Indonesia. The population in this study comprises creative sector industry workers, and the population size is unknown. In this research, researchers used a purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 130 employees. The data analysis method used is based on regression analysis using the IBM SPSS 23 program. The results of the data analysis conclude that self-efficacy and perceived organizational support have a positive and significant effect on employee engagement. The results of this research can provide theoretical and practical contributions to human resource management in the creative industries. These findings are expected to show that self-efficacy and perceived organizational support significantly influence employee engagement and can be a basis for companies to design more effective employee management strategies.
