Abstract

Catch per Unit Effort (CPUE) analysis assesses fishing productivity and indicates fish stock abundance in waters. CPUE values represent the ratio between catch and fishing effort. This study aims to determine CPUE values and analyze the production factors influencing catch. The research method used a survey method with purposive sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using CPUE analysis, multiple linear regression, and classical assumption tests. The results showed that tuna fishing production at PPS Bungus during the 2018–2023 period reached 1,053.09 tons, with catches dominated by skipjack tuna and yellowfin tuna. The highest CPUE value occurred in 2019 at 1.49 tons/trip, and the lowest in 2022 at 0.86 tons/trip. The production factors that significantly influenced catch yields were the number of crew members, engine power, and captain experience, while vessel size and trip duration had a negative influence. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.356 indicates that the research variables only explain part of the variation in catch results. This finding underscores the importance of optimizing production factors and managing fishing efforts to sustain tuna fishing productivity at PPS Bungus

Abstract

The Cempaka Subdistrict in Banjarbaru City faces several maternal and child health challenges, including low awareness of clean and healthy living behaviors, limited antenatal care visits, anemia among pregnant women and adolescents, suboptimal exclusive breastfeeding practices, incomplete basic immunization, and inadequate neonatal care knowledge. These problems are compounded by limited access to health services and varying levels of health literacy within the community. This community service program, Germas Berlian (Community Movement to Empower Families for Maternal and Child Health through Neurobehavioral, Social, and Cultural Approaches), aims to enhance community knowledge, skills, and health practices across the life cycle. The activities included coordination and field observation, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), integrated health education, health screenings for pregnant women, adolescents, and toddlers, capacity-building training, and home visits for prioritized families. Post-intervention evaluations demonstrated significant improvements in participants’ knowledge, nutritional awareness, health practices, and screening outcomes. The program highlights the effectiveness of integrated and culturally appropriate educational interventions to empower families and improve maternal and child health in underserved areas.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The improvement of professional competence among early childhood education (ECE) teachers has become a strategic challenge in response to increasing demands for adaptive, reflective, and child-oriented learning quality. Field conditions indicate variations in teachers’ educational qualifications, limited supporting facilities, and suboptimal implementation of creative learning practices, highlighting the need for leadership from ECE principals who are capable of managing teacher development in a structured and sustainable manner. This study aims to describe the leadership strategies of ECE principals in enhancing teachers’ professional competence and to examine the implementation of these strategies at TK Negeri Pembina Banjarmasin Utara 3. The study employed a qualitative approach with a narrative design, involving the principal as the main subject and several teachers as supporting informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the ECE principal implemented continuous professional development through teacher learning communities, dialogical academic supervision, reinforcement of spiritual values, and participatory communication that fostered teacher collaboration. These strategies contributed to the development of reflective attitudes, increased teaching creativity, and strengthened teachers’ professional responsibility. This study concludes that participatory, humanistic, and value-based leadership of ECE principals plays a crucial role in building a sustainable culture of teacher professionalism. Peningkatan kompetensi profesional guru pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) menjadi tantangan strategis seiring dengan tuntutan mutu pembelajaran yang adaptif, reflektif, dan berorientasi pada perkembangan anak. Realitas di lapangan menunjukkan adanya variasi kualifikasi guru, keterbatasan sarana pendukung, serta belum optimalnya praktik pembelajaran kreatif, sehingga diperlukan kepemimpinan kepala satuan PAUD yang mampu mengelola pembinaan guru secara terarah dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi kepemimpinan kepala satuan PAUD dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru serta menggambarkan implementasi strategi tersebut di TK Negeri Pembina Banjarmasin Utara 3. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain naratif, melibatkan kepala sekolah sebagai subjek utama dan beberapa guru sebagai informan pendukung, dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi, yang dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala satuan PAUD menerapkan pembinaan profesional secara berkelanjutan melalui komunitas belajar guru, supervisi akademik dialogis, penguatan nilai spiritual, serta komunikasi partisipatif yang mendorong kolaborasi antarguru. Strategi tersebut berkontribusi pada berkembangnya sikap reflektif, peningkatan kreativitas mengajar, dan penguatan tanggung jawab profesional guru. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala satuan PAUD yang partisipatif, humanis, dan berbasis nilai memiliki peran penting dalam membangun budaya profesionalisme guru secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Bulan Februari s.d. Maret 2024 di PPS Bungus Sumatera Barat. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk menghitung produktivitas penangkapan (CPUE) dan Pola Musim Penangkapan (waktu musim ikan, waktu penangkapan yang optimal) ikan tuna sirip kuning (Thunnus albacares) yang didaratkan di PPS Bungus. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode pendekatan desk study, yaitu suatu cara pengumpulan data dan informasi melalui pemeriksaan serta menggunakan data sekunder, berupa data Logbook yang berisikan data bulanan (catch dan effort) dalam periode 5 tahun dan metode survey yaitu dengan wawancara dengan pemilik kapal dan ABK. Kajian pola musim penangkapan akan menghasilkan informasi mengenai waktu dan musim yang paling tepat untuk melakukan kegiatan operasi penangkapan ikan sehingga dapat mengurangi resiko kerugian penangkapan ikan. Produktivitas Tuna sirip Kuning dari tahun 2019 hingga 2023 cenderung menurun, hal tersebut perlu diwaspadai karena diduga terjadinya overfishing. Efisiensi penangkapan (CPUE) menurun dari 2019 - 2023, dengan tertinggi pada 2019 (4001,55 kg/trip) dan terendah pada 2023 (3550,30 kg/trip), menunjukkan perlunya pemantauan terhadap stok tuna. Musim penangkapan berdasarkan Indeks Musim Penangkapan (IMP), berfluktuasi sepanjang tahun. Pada bulan Maret, hasil tangkapan relatif tinggi (129%), sementara pada bulan Agustus hasil tangkapan terendah signifikan (74%). Musim penangkapan ikan tuna sirip kuning, yang memiliki nilai IMP di atas 100 berlangsung dari bulan Februari-Mei, September, dan Desember, dengan puncaknya terjadi pada bulan Maret. Abstract

Nelayan di Desa Concong Dalam umumnya menangkap ikan Sembilang (Plotosus Canius) menggunakan alat tangkap Bubu. Bubu dioperasikan dengan menggunakan umpan sebagai faktor utama yang mempengaruhi hasil tangkapan. Penelitian pengaruh umpan terhadap hasil tangkapan di Desa Concong Dalam menggunakan 3 jenis umpan berbeda yang berbeda dan dilihat dari kandungan umpan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 3 Agustus – 15 Agustus 2024 dan berlokasi di Desa Concong dalam Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir Provinsi Riau. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi jumlah tangkapan ikan Sembilang (ekor) dan berat (gram) selama 12 hari penelitian. Hasil Tangkapan Bubu adalah 28 ikan lele dengan umpan kepiting tapal kuda, 18 dengan umpan cacing sagu, 12 dengan umpan cacing nipah, dan 11 dengan umpan daging kelapa. Jadi, umpan yang paling disukai kepiting adalah kepiting kuda. Namun, umpan kepiting kuda sudah dilindungi oleh undang-undang yang berlaku. Oleh karena itu, diperoleh umpan alternatif, yaitu cacing sagu yang efektif dan legal di Indonesia

Abstract

Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) is one of the causes of obstetric complications that impact increased maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. PROM diagnosis generally uses litmus paper, but this method still has the weakness of subjectivity of the results. This study aims to develop pantyliners with a natural indicator based on turmeric extract (Curcuma longa L.) as an alternative to detect PROM. Purely experimental research was conducted in the laboratory and Sultan Suriansyah Hospital, Banjarmasin. Phytochemical tests showed that turmeric extract positively contained alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and quinones that act as antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, antimicrobials, and immunomodulators. GC-MS tests showed the dominant compounds were Ar-turmerone (29.38%) and Alpha-turmerone (22.79%), with supporting compounds in the form of vanillin, aromatic phenolics, and fatty acid esters. Turmeric extract immobilized on pantyliners showed significant color changes when dripped with amniotic fluid (reddish brown), vaginal secretions (bright yellow), and urine (yellow). Statistical tests showed a significant effect (p<0.005) between changes in pantyliner color and the diagnosis of PROM. These results demonstrate that turmeric extract contains antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and immunomodulatory properties and has the potential to be used as an environmentally friendly natural indicator for early detection of PROM.

Abstract

Literacy is an ability that must be possessed by every individual (student). Literacy plays an important role for students. One of the literacy that must be mastered by students is mathematical literacy. Regarding mathematical literacy, many previous researchers have conducted research and even recent research related to this literacy ability is associated with gender. This study aims to map and describe students' literacy skills and differentiate students' literacy skills based on gender. This research is a literature study research by referring to eight article documents. The article documents used as sources were taken randomly from the internet. The results of the analysis of this article document are as follows: 1. Research related to literacy and gender is mostly carried out at the high school level than at the junior high school level, 2. The indicators used in assessing students' literacy abilities are indicators modified from indicators used by the Quasar General Rubric , indicators used by PISA and indicators referring to problem solving steps, and 3. male students' mathematical literacy skills are better than female students' mathematical literacy skills. Literasi merupakan kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap individu (siswa). Literasi memegang peranan penting bagi siswa. Salah satu literasi yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa adalah literasi matematika. Terkait literasi matematika, sudah banyak peneliti terdahulu melakukan penelitian bahkan penelitian terkini terkait kemampuan literasi ini dikaitkan dengan gender. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi siswa dan membedakan kemampuan literasi siswa berdasarkan gender. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian studi literatur dengan merujuk kepada delapan dokumen artikel. Dokumen-dokumen artikel yang digunakan sebagai sumber diambil secara acak dari internet. Hasil dari analisis terhadap dokumen artikel ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1. Penelitian terkait literasi dan gender lebih banyak dilakukan di tingkat SMA daripada tingkat SMP, 2. Indikator yang digunakan dalam menilai kemampuan literasi siswa yaitu indikator yang dimodifikasi dari indikator yang digunakan oleh Quasar General Rubric, indikator yang digunakan PISA dan indikator yang mengacu pada langkah-langkah penyelesaian masalah, dan 3. kemampuan literasi matematika siswa laki-laki lebih baik daripada kemampuan litetarasi matematika siswa perempuan.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the problem identified in Grade VIII of SMP Negeri 2 2x11 Kayutanam, namely the low level of students’ mathematical conceptual understanding. This issue was attributed to teacher-centered instructional practices and the limited variation in teaching models implemented in the classroom. One proposed solution to address this problem was the application of a cooperative learning model, namely Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). The objective of this study was to determine whether students’ mathematical conceptual understanding taught using the CIRC model was better than that of students taught through conventional instruction in Grade VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Kayutanam. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using the Static Group Comparison Design, in which data were analyzed using inferential statistics to examine differences in mathematical conceptual understanding between the experimental and control groups. The population of this study consisted of all Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Kayutanam. The sample included Class VIII.1 as the experimental group and Class VIII.3 as the control group. The research instrument used was an essay test designed to measure students’ mathematical conceptual understanding. Based on data analysis using the t-test, it can be concluded that students’ mathematical conceptual understanding taught through the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model was better than that of students taught through conventional learning in Grade VIII of SMP Negeri 2 2x11 Kayutanam.”

Abstract

This study aims to determine the activity and motivation of students learning mathematics using the Think Pair Square cooperative learning model is better than conventional learning. This type of research is an experiment with a research design namely The Static Group Comparison Design. The population in this study were all students, where there are 10 classes with a total of 318 students. Sampling was done randomly first conducted a normality test and homogeneity test on the population data. The sample in this study was class VIII. I as the experimental class and VIII. J as the control class. The instruments used were a mathematics learning motivation questionnaire and a learning activity observation sheet. The results of the activity observation sheet were analyzed using the percentage of activity, after calculating the activity score, an overall average of 82.3% was obtained with active criteria. Meanwhile, the results of the calculation of the data analysis of the students' mathematics learning motivation questionnaire at the real level using the t-test, obtained t count 2.033400708 and t table 1.998971517 where t count > t table. Meanwhile, using SPSS, sig = 0.034 is obtained, meaning significant <a with a real level, based on these results, accept H1 and reject H0. So, it can be concluded that students' mathematics learning activities and motivation using the Think Pair Square type of cooperative learning model are better than conventional learning.
