Abstract

Background: People living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) are still a health problem because of the cumulative increase in the population and there is a gap in the need for services to get antiretroviral therapy (ART). Compliance with PLHIV will consume antiretroviral drugs is a form of treatment success by being influenced by several factors encouraging to act, attitudes, intentions, perceptions of behavioral control, and care, support and treatment services (CST). The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of CST services and other factors that influence the intention and compliance of ARV therapy, using theory of planned behavior, health belief model, and path analysis.Subjects and Method: This was a cross sectional study conducted in Malang, East Java, from September to October 2019. A sample of 200 PLWH was selected by fixed disease sampling. The dependent variable was adherence to ARV treatment. The independent variables were intention, cues to action, attitude, perceived of behavioral control (PBC), and CST service. The data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed by path analysis run on Stata 13.Results: Adherence to ARV therapy in PLWH was directly increased by strong intention (b= 3.12; 95% CI= 2.12 to 4.12; p<0.001). CST service was directly increased adherence to ARV therapy, but it was statistically non-significant (b= 0.19; 95% CI= -0.89 to 1.28; p= 0.293). Adherence to ARV therapy was indirectly affected by strong cues to action, positive attitude, and strong PBC.Conclusion: Adherence to ARV therapy in PLWH is directly increased by strong intention. CST service is directly increased adherence to ARV therapy, but it is statistically non-significant. Abstract

Background: Anxiety felt by women before delivery with cesarean section can cause psycho­logical problem, increase pain in surgery, increase analgesic needs, and prolong hospital treatment. Hypnotherapy has minimal side effects and is easy to do in reducing anxiety. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of hypnotherapy in reducing anxiety in women with pre-cesarean section.Subjects and Method: This was a randomized controlled trial study conducted at in Karang­anyar Hospital, and PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital, Karanganyar, Central Java, from July to August 2019. A sample of 60 women was selected for this study by purposive sampling. 30 subjects of the treatment group received hypnotherapy intervention and 30 subjects of the control group received standard care. The dependent variable was anxiety. The independent variable was hypno­therapy. Anxiety was tested by the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety questionnaire. Hypno­therapy was done using hypnosis recording/audio. The data were analyzed by independent t test.Results: Mean of anxiety after hypnotherapy (mean = 14.17; SD = 4.36) was lower than control group (mean = 19.93; SD = 6.02), effect size = -1.09, and is statistically significant (p <0.001).Conclusion: Hypnotherapy is effective in reducing anxiety in women before cesarean section.Keywords: anxiety, hypnotherapy, cesarean sectionCorrespondence: Rizka Innayatun Mubarokah. Abstract

Background: The use of gadgets in early childhood can affect the mental and physical deve­lop­ment of children. The Indonesian Pediatric Association (IDAI) estimates that 5-10% of children ex­perience developmental delays. Children's development is influenced by environmental factors, pa­rents, nutritional status, and the use of gadgets. This study aimed to analyze the effect of gadget use on child development in Melawi, West Kalimantan, using path analysis model.Subject and Method: This was a cross sectional study conducted in Melawi, West Kalimantan, Indonesia, from August to September 2019. A total 200 children aged 3 to 5 years old was selected by fixed ex­posure sampling. The dependent variable was child development. The independent variables were gadget usage, maternal age, maternal education, maternal em­ploy­ment, family income, number of children, and family type. The data were collected by ques­tion­naire. The data were analyzed by path analysis run on Stata 13.Result: Child development was directly and positively affected by maternal aged ?20 years old (b= 1.52; 95% CI= -0.29 to 3.35; p= 0.101), high maternal education (b=2.53; 95% CI=1.23 to 3.84; p<0.001), family income ?Rp 2,288,000 (b= 1.38; 95% CI= 0.01 to 2.77; p= 0.049), and core family type (b= 1.61; 95% CI= 0.43 to 2.80; p= 0.008). Child development was directly and nega­tively affected by gadget use (b= -2.74; 95% CI= -3.99 to -1.49; p<0.001), mother working outside the house (b= -1.98; 95% CI= -3.06 to -0.90; p<0.001), and number of children >2 (b= -2.48; 95% CI= -3.67 to -1.29; p<0.001). Child development was indirectly affected by maternal education and maternal employment.Conclusion: Child development is directly and positively affected by maternal aged ?20 years old, high maternal education, high family income, and core family type. Child development is directly and nega­tively affected by gadget use, mother working outside the house, and number of children >2. Abstract

Background: Many universities offer various in­­teresting educational programs. This makes prospective students faced with the situation to choose the programs appropriately according to their interests and talents. Prospective students have different considerations and reasons in choosing and deciding on acupuncture education as a place to continue their education. The pur­pose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence student decision making in choosing acupuncture education in Indonesia.Subjects and Method: This was a case control study conducted at Health Polytechnic Ministry of Health Surakarta, Health Polytechnic Soe­pra­oen Malang, and Acupuncture Academy Sura­baya, in November 2019. A sample of 300 college students was selected by stratified random sam­pling. The dependent variable was decision to choose school of acupuncture. The independent variables were aspiration, attitude, career gui­dan­ce, academic program, tuition fees, college repu­tation, pro­motion, facilities, financial assistance, location, and parental support. The data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed by path analysis run on Stata 13.Results: College students who chose school of acupuncture was directly increased by good school reputation (b= 2.37; 95% CI= 0.77 to 3.97; p= 0.004), good career guidance (b= 2.96; 95% CI= 1.35 to 4.58; p<0.001), good education pro­grams (b= 2.46; 95% CI= 0.94 to 3.97; p= 0.001), strong parental support (b= 3.29; 95% CI= 1.75 to 4.83; p<0.001), good financial assistance (b= 3.12; 95% CI= 1.49 to 4.75; p<0.001), good promotion (b= 1.80; 95% CI= 0.34 to 3.26; p= 0.016), low tuition fees (b= 2.48; CI 95%= 0.99 to 3.97; p= 0.001), and supportive location (b= 2.26; 95% CI= 0.85 to 3.66; p= 0.002). College stu­dents who chose school of acupuncture was indirectly affected by aspiration, attitude, and facilities.Conclusion: College students who chose school of acupuncture is directly increased by good school reputation, good career guidance, good education programs, strong parental support, good financial assistance, good promotion, low tuition fees, and supportive location. Abstract

Background: Patient Registration Place is the first service gate at a health service facility. Community health center as primary service providers and as a place for public services must provide satisfaction to customers. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the quality of services where out-patient registration and patient satisfaction in health centers. The purpose of this study is to measure and analyze the factors that influence the quality of outpatient registration services and satisfaction.Subjects and Method: This was an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design. The study was conducted in Surakarta and Karanganyar health centers, Central Java, from September to October 2019. A sample of 200 patients was selected by stratified random sampling. The dependent variable was patient satisfaction. The independent variables were the qualifications of the officer, tenure, employment status, patient education, patient income, type of payment, patient age, and patient quality. The data were collected by questionnaire. The data were analyzed by a multiple logistic regression run on Stata 13.Results: The quality of outpatient registration services improved with civil servant status (OR= 4.03; 95% CI= 1.83 to 8.86; p= 0.001), patient education ≥Senior high school (OR= 0.27; 95% CI= 0.14 to 0.54; p<0.001), and BPJS insurance (OR= 0.52; 95% CI= 0.26 to 1.02; p= 0.058). Patient satisfaction improved with education level of the officer (Diploma III) (OR= 3.99; 95% CI= 1.48 to 10.68; p= 0.006), tenure ≥12 years (OR= 4.52; 95% CI= 1.74 to 11.75; p= 0.004), patient age ≥37 years (OR= 2.96; 95% CI= 1.27 to 6.84; p= 0.011), and good service quality (OR= 3.42; 95% CI= 1.40 to 8.35; p= 0.007). Patient satis-faction decreased with patient education ≥Senior high school (OR= 0.35; 95% CI= 0.14 to 0.84; p= 0.021), income ≥Rp 1,800,000 (OR= 0.39; 95% CI = 0.17 to 0.92; p = 0.031), and BPJS insurance (OR = 0.13; 95% CI = 0.05 to 0.32; p<0.001).Conclusion: The quality of outpatient registration services improves with civil servant status, patient education ≥Senior high school, and BPJS insurance. Patient satisfaction improves with education level of the officer, tenure ≥12 years, patient age ≥37 years, and good service quality. Abstract

Background: Insomnia is a disease that has a negative impact on the health and well-being of the sufferer. Insomnia can occur in anyone, both men and women with various ages of vulnerability and in individuals with various socioeconomic backgrounds. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of acupuncture in insomnia patients.Subjects and Method: Meta-analysis was performed with PICO which is presented as follows: the population in this study was insomnia patients aged 16-85. The intervention is in the form of acupuncture therapy. The com­parison used was a sham/ placebo acupuncture. The outcome was insomnia. The meta-analysis study was applied to this study with electronic data sources: Clinical Key, Google Scholar, MEDLINE/ PubMed, Science Direct, Scopus. The article used is a full-text article with a randomized control trial (RCT) study design. There were 9 articles used in this study with a sample size of 649 people who were divided into two groups (372 people in the acupuncture group and 277 people in the sham / placebo acupuncture group). Articles were analyzed using the Review Manager 5.4 application. The results of this study aim to determine the Standardized Mean difference (SMD) and hete­rogeneity of the study sample.Results: There is high heterogeneity between one experiment and another (I2= 94%; p <0.001) so that what is used is the Random Effect Model (REM). The provision of acu­puncture therapy was able to reduce the degree of insomnia with the Standardized Mean Diffe­rent (SMD) of 0.98 compared to sham acu­puncture (SMD= -0.98; 95% CI= -1.71 to -0.25; p = 0.008).Conclusion: The provision of acupuncture therapy was able to reduce the degree of insomnia with the Standardized Mean Different (SMD) of 0.98 compared to sham acupuncture.Keywords: Acupuncture, InsomniaCorrespondence: Kurnia Eka Putri. Abstract

Background: Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common joint condition and is charac­terized by progressive erosion of the articular cartilage. Based on data from Basic Health Research (2018) the prevalence of joint disease in Indonesia is recorded at around 7.3% and osteoarthritis (OA) or arthritis is a common joint disease. As the two main non-surgical methods, physiotherapy and acu­puncture have been shown to be safe and effective in the therapy of osteoarthritis.Subjects and Method: This was a syste­matic review and meta-analysis study. The articles used in this study were obtained from several databases including PubMed, Google Scholar, and Springer Link. The articles used in this study were those published from 2000-2020. The article search was carried out by considering the eligibility criteria defined using the PICO model. The popu­lation in the study were patients with osteo­arthritis complaints with intervention in the form of acupuncture therapy, the comparison was the sham acupuncture outcome in the form of pain reduction. The keywords for finding articles are as follows: "Acupuncture" OR "Osteoarthritis" AND "Randomized Con­trolled Trials". The articles included in this study are full text articles with an obser­vational study design. Articles were collected using PRISMA flow diagrams. Articles were analyzed using the Review Manager 5.3 application.Results: A total of 9 articles were reviewed in this study. A meta-analysis of 9 rando­mized control trials showed that acupuncture therapy reduced pain in osteoarthritis pati­ents (SMD= -0. 49; 95% CI= -0.88 to -0.10; p= 0.01).Conclusion: Acupuncture therapy reduces pain in osteoarthritis patients.Keywords: acupuncture, osteoarthritis, acupuncture osteoarthritis, randomized control trialCorrespondence: Fahmi Eko Susilo. Abstract

Background: Sexual satisfaction refers to a person's pleasant feelings from the type of sexual relationship that forms an important part of one partner's impression of another. 75% of women experience sexual problems. Symptoms of sexual dysfunction occur in nearly half of the marriage period and 75% of couples need therapy. This study aims to analyze the effect of hypnosis on pain during sexual activity and the intensity of pain.Subjects and Method: This study was a meta-analysis and a systematic study. The arti­cles used were obtained from several elec­tronic databases including Pubmed, Science Direct, Springer Link, and Google Scholar. Articles were collected for 4 weeks. The keywords to search for articles were as follows: "non-medi­cal therapy", "non-medical care", "randomized control trial", "sexual disturbance", "sexual function", "sexual satisfaction". The articles studied were full text articles with an obser­vational research design. Articles were collected using PRISMA diagrams, and analyzed using the Review Manager 5.3 application.Results: The effects of hypnosis on pain during sexual activity (aOR= 3.55; 95% CI= 2.63 to 4.79; p = 0.001) and intensity of pain (aOR=  2.39; 95% CI= 1.96 to 2.82; p= 0.006).Conclusion: Hypnosis can reduce pain during sexual activity and the intensity of pain.Keywords: Hypnosis, sexual dysfunctionCorrespondence: Kumalasari. Abstract

Background: Overweight or obesity is a con­dition of excessive accumulation of fat in the body which is indicated by a Body Mass Index value exceeding 25 kg/m2. WHO esti­mated that in 2022 adolescents will expe­rience more obe­sity cases than underweight cases. One of the behaviors that can reduce the risk of overweight and obesity is having adequate sleep duration. This study aimed to analyze the magnitude of the effect of sleep duration on overweight or obesity in female adolescents with a meta-analysis study.Subjects and Method: This was a syste­matic review and meta-analysis study. The study was carried out by following the PRISMA diagram. The process of the search for articles through a database that included: PubMed, Google Scholar, and Springer Link. The articles were selected in the period 2009-2020. The key­words used include: "sleep duration" AND adolescents, overweight AND "female adoles­cents", obesity AND adoles­cent, "sleep dura­tion" OR "overweight obe­sity" OR adolescents OR "cross-sectional", "sleep duration" AND "overweight obesity "AND adolescent," sleep timing "AND obesity AND girls. The inclusion criteria were full-text articles with cross-sectional study design, English and Indonesian articles, and articles that used multivariate analysis with adjusted Odds Ratio. The articles that qualify were analyzed using the Review Manager 5.3 application.Results: A total of 9 primary articles from Korea, China, and the USA had conducted a meta-analysis with a sample of 104,726 female adolescents. The results of the meta-analysis showed that female adolescentswith short sleep duration had a risk of overweight or obesity 1.44 times compared with female adolescents with long sleep duration (aOR= 1.44, 95% CI= 1.24 to 1.69, p<0.001).Conclusion: Short sleep duration signifi­cantly increases overweight/obesity in female adolescents.Keywords: duration of sleep, overweight or obesity, female adolescentsCorrespondence: Putri Isriyatil Jannah.
