Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are traditional educational institutions that prioritize a religion-based curriculum. The Darul Hikmah Orphans Islamic Boarding School, located in Cot Yang Village, Kuta Barou District, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh Province, faces the challenge of low levels of entrepreneurial skills in the field of welding and atomizing painting due to the absence of this material in their curriculum. To overcome this, atomizing welding and painting training was carried out at Islamic boarding schools, which aimed to improve students' hard skills in this field. This training is also planned to develop business units, including the establishment of atomizing welding and painting workshops. This atomizing welding and painting entrepreneurship training program is measured by several parameters, with the output being the basic welding technical skills obtained by the students. It is hoped that this program will produce entrepreneurs in atomizing welding and painting workshops that will benefit the environment of the Darul Hikmah Cot Yang Orphan Islamic Boarding School. The training implementation stages include welding and painting theory, occupational health and safety (K3), as well as practice and assistance in basic welding and painting, with the final product being a table. The training material was adopted from teaching welding and painting practices at Syiah Kuala Darussalam University-Aceh. The result of this training is an increase in participants' knowledge in welding and painting, as well as their ability to apply these processes by prioritizing K3 (Occupational Safety and Health).

Abstract

The sustainable patchouli cultivation development program aims to promote community-driven agricultural practices through academic support from higher education institutions. Implemented in Teuladan Village, Aceh Besar Regency, the program utilizes the Triple Helix collaboration model, engaging academia, the community, and industry to ensure long-term sustainability. By employing a participatory approach, the initiative provides mentoring activities, including training on cultivation techniques, land management, and market dynamics for patchouli oil. Prospective farmers are selected through the CFCL (Candidate Farmers and Candidate Locations) questionnaire, which evaluates readiness based on skills, institutional organization, availability of extension workers, use of fuel for oil distillation, and commitment levels. The program aims to enhance farmers' knowledge and skills in producing high-quality patchouli, with a focus on Aceh Besar and extending across the Aceh region. By fostering sustainable agricultural practices and improving production quality, the initiative seeks to elevate community welfare and support the economic resilience of rural areas.

Abstract

This paper aims to introduce the modesty model of the qurani language as an alternative foundation of the politeness theories of language that have been taught so far. This model is important to be applied in the life of industrial revolution society 4.0. Fundamentally the industrial revolution 4.0 has caused changes in the way humans live, think, and interact in establishing relationships with one another. In turn this era has disrupted various human activities. These include language activities which are a form of social interaction. The phenomenon of impoliteness, harassment (bullying), and verbal violence is increasingly massive in the real world. Even the industrial revolution 4.0 which provides easy internet access and advances in information technology has also led to an increase in the phenomenon of hate speech, the dissemination of hoaxes and cyber bullying that can threaten social harmony and the unity of the multicultural Indonesian nation. Therefore it is necessary to develop a polite language education model based on religious teachings.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to anticipate the spread of false news and acts of hate speech committed by youth members of the Medan Amplas District, Medan City. Spreading false news and acts of hate speech is a crime that has recently become increasingly widespread and has been in the spotlight of various groups. This is due to the inevitability that Indonesia is a developing democratic country. Moreover, this country is a country whose population is a multicultural society, and is very vulnerable to the threat of social conflict caused by the act of spreading false news and acts of hate speech. As a multicultural country, the reality of diversity is a potential that has two sides. It can be positive or negative, depending on how it is managed. To manage socio-cultural diversity, it can be done by avoiding the spread of fake news and acts of hate speech. Prevention of these two things can be done by utilizing critical reading strategies. Therefore, specifically, this service activity is targeted to contribute to partners' knowledge and understanding of critical language awareness to prevent the spread of false news and hate speech. This method of community service is carried out in the form of field counseling through lectures on the use of reading strategies and critical literacy to prevent the spread of false news. The results of this service activity show that the residents of Karang Taruna, Medan Amplas Sub-district, already know about the problems of multicultural society in Indonesia and have succeeded in applying critical literacy strategies.

Abstract

Low technological literacy and an ecosystem for developing innovation and creation that is not built at the village level are one of the reasons why the village is not developing. The use of information technology can be a medium that connects the community and village government. The village government can utilize information technology to deliver services related to governance and village development as well as fostering and developing community empowerment. This service will focus on increasing digital literacy to support communities that are resilient in digitizing MSME activities.
