Abstract

This paper was written aimed at explaining the understanding of management, scope of management, and leadership of Islamic education. The writing method uses Ms. Word and journal templates. Zotero applications are used for citations and APA 7th (American Psychological Association 7th edition) as a reference style. The paper discussion data is obtained from primary and secondary data derived from international and nationally reputable books and journals. The results of the paper suggest that management activities cover a broad spectrum, starting from activities on how to determine the direction of the organization in the future, creating organizational activities, encouraging cooperation between fellow members of the organization, and overseeing activities in achieving the goals. Islamic education leadership is a leadership process in Islamic education to move, influence, motivate, and direct people within educational institutions to achieve the goals that have been formulated.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education in madrasahs (Islamic schools) remains a concern, as these institutions strive to balance the development of spiritual values and professional proficiency with supportive learning environments. This study addresses ongoing debates about the quantifiable effects of faith-based pedagogy by examining how spiritual education, teacher professionalism, and school atmosphere influence educational quality. A quantitative design was employed involving 312 purposively selected madrasah teachers, and data were analysed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The findings show that while the impact of spiritual education (β = 0.008) is statistically insignificant, the school environment (β = 0.568) and teacher professionalism (β = 0.318) considerably improve educational quality. These results highlight the importance of promoting professional competence and a supportive institutional environment to enhance madrasah performance. Meanwhile, the limited impact of spiritual education suggests the need for a more pedagogically grounded, evidence-based integration of spiritual values into instructional practices.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a Monopoly-based learning media to enhance the understanding of fourth-grade students in Natural and Social Sciences, specifically on the states of matter and their changes. A Research and Development approach was employed using a systematic development model involving curriculum and needs analysis, media design using Canva, expert validation, and small group and field trials. The findings revealed that the developed media was highly effective, with expert validation scores exceeding 85% in feasibility. Students' understanding significantly improved, as reflected in the increase in average test scores from 44.61 (0% mastery) in the pre-test to 76.71 (63% mastery) in the post-test. These results highlight the potential of Monopoly-based learning media as an alternative instructional tool for improving conceptual understanding. Future research is recommended to adapt this media for other subjects and educational levels to explore its effectiveness further.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the practice of Human Resource (HR) management functions in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Yogyakarta III from a quality perspective. The research method used is descriptive qualitative through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses the stages of reduction, presentation, and inference. The results showed that, at MAN Yogyakarta III, the institution's quality is quite influenced by implementing the Human Resource Management (HRM) function, which can be seen in the form of internal and external customer satisfaction. For internal customers, customer satisfaction can be seen from the increase in psychological development, such as opportunities for personnel to continue to learn and develop abilities, assist personnel in developing their talents and creativity as well as efforts to create an atmosphere and culture that can make personnel feel satisfied and comfortable. As for external customers, satisfaction increases physical and psychological development, such as achievement scholarship programs, coaching, parallel achievements, a conducive learning atmosphere, family relationships between teachers and students, good learning services, capacity building, and creativity.

Abstract

This study explores the ideological foundations of religious moderation among Indonesian university students and their role as agents of tolerance and inclusivity, emphasising the importance of educational management in strengthening these values. This study used a descriptive qualitative design and collected data through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and FGDs. The tools were an observation schedule, an Interview guide, and an FGD Guide, developed through expert opinion to ensure content, cultural, and context relevance. Data were analysed using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), which involved transcription and immersion, exploratory note-taking, theme identification, pattern recognition, and interpretative synthesis. The results suggest that religious moderation is grounded in universal humanitarian principles shared by Islam and other world religions. Values are systematically internalized by students and reflected in their attitudes, critical thinking, and daily lives. Religious moderation is realised through inclusivity, tolerance, and social harmony, strengthened by intercultural dialogue and reflective engagement. The study concludes that universities strategically manage and strengthen religious moderation by integrating interfaith literacy and community-based learning into the curriculum and extracurricular activities. Hence, it is suggested that universities adopt a strategic approach to disseminate the values of religious moderation. However, more studies are needed to generalize the comparative study across different learning settings.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of classroom management on teacher performance in a State Islamic Elementary School (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri) in Tangerang Regency, Indonesia. A quantitative survey design was used, involving 155 teachers selected through proportional random sampling from a population of 252 teachers. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire measuring classroom management and teacher performance, and analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The results indicated that classroom management had a positive and statistically significant effect on teacher performance (β = 0.366, t = 6.502, p < 0.001). The regression model explained 35.5% of the variance in teacher performance (R² = 0.355), indicating moderate explanatory power. These findings suggest that effective classroom organization, behavior management, and instructional structuring contribute substantially to teacher professional effectiveness. The study concludes that strengthening classroom management competencies is crucial for improving teacher performance in Islamic elementary schools. Practical implications highlight the importance of targeted professional development and instructional supervision focused on classroom-based practices.

Abstract

Creative thinking is an essential skill in 21st-century learning, yet many students still face difficulties in developing fluency, flexibility, elaboration, and originality. This study aims to develop a game-based learning medium called LUPAS (Ludo IPAS) to address these challenges in the topic of continents and countries. The research employed the ADDIE model, covering the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection through interviews and observations identified students’ learning needs, which became the basis for designing the LUPAS media. Expert validation showed high feasibility, with scores of 93.3% from material experts and 90.6% from media experts, both categorized as “very valid.” Implementation used a one-group pretest-posttest pre-experimental design with sixth-grade students. The N-Gain test revealed an average score of 0.6161 (medium category) and an N-Gain percentage of 62%, indicating moderate effectiveness in enhancing creative thinking skills. The study contributes to game-based learning innovation by demonstrating that LUPAS is both feasible and effective in fostering higher-order thinking.

Abstract

The development of innovative learning media is essential to enhance students’ critical thinking skills in elementary education. This study aims to develop Domino Card learning media for fifth-grade students to improve their critical thinking skills. The research was motivated by preliminary observations at MI Mathla’ul Huda, which revealed that students’ critical thinking abilities were relatively low due to the limited use of instructional media supporting higher-order thinking. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, comprising analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Validation results showed that the media expert awarded a score of 86%, while the material expert gave 94%, indicating high validity. The effectiveness of the media was measured through pre-test and post-test assessments. The average pre-test score was 60.37, increasing to 86.29 in the post-test. The N-gain value was 0.64 (64%), categorized as “Quite Effective.” These findings indicate that the developed domino card media effectively enhances students’ critical thinking skills.
