Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of effective teaching skills as a strategic effort to enhance student learning motivation at the senior high school level. The research is motivated by the declining student engagement in various learning settings, particularly in the post-pandemic era, where learning motivation is a crucial yet often overlooked factor. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study was conducted at SMA Cempaka Putih using observations, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. Thematic analysis was applied to identify patterns of teaching practices and their impact on students' motivational responses. The findings reveal that key teaching competencies—such as clear communication, instructional variation, positive reinforcement, and classroom management—are strongly correlated with increased student participation, confidence, and intrinsic motivation. The study implies that empowering teachers with pedagogical skills that address students' cognitive, emotional, and social needs is essential in fostering a productive learning environment. This research contributes original insights by providing an in-depth contextual understanding of how effective teaching behaviors manifest in real classroom settings and how they shape students' motivational dynamics.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the development strategies of sharia-based Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the digital era, using a case study of small businesses in Morombuh Village. The research is grounded in the urgency of strengthening MSMEs not only as resilient economic actors but also as entities aligned with Islamic values. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The study focuses on identifying forms of social accommodation, the implementation of sharia principles in business practices, and the challenges and opportunities presented by digital transformation. The findings reveal that the development of sharia-based MSMEs in Morombuh occurs organically through the role of three key social actors: religious leaders and Islamic boarding schools as moral and spiritual guides, families as sources of technical and emotional support, and local communities as facilitators of digital literacy and market access. Despite challenges such as low digital literacy, weak business management, and limited access to sharia-compliant financing, MSME actors demonstrate significant potential for growth through strong values, social solidarity, and gradual technological adaptation. In conclusion, the development of sharia-based MSMEs requires a contextual, collaborative, and value-oriented approach as its foundational strategy.

Abstract

Abstract This study explores the issue of verbal bullying, a behavior often underestimated in society. In truth, it represents a moral deviation and a manifestation of spiritual illness. Al-Ghazali asserts that harmful speech is a reflection of a corrupted heart. The aim of this research is to examine the concept of verbal bullying from Al-Ghazali’s perspective as presented in Bidayatul Hidayah. Employing a qualitative approach through content analysis, this study draws primarily on Bidayatul Hidayah as a main source, supported by relevant secondary materials. According to Imam Al-Ghazali, verbal transgressions that constitute verbal bullying include idle talk, insults, humiliation of others, backbiting, vulgar or obscene language, and lying. As a remedy for these issues, he emphasizes the importance of ash-shamt (silence) and tazkiyah an-nafs (self-purification). Keywords: Verbal Bullying, Al-Ghazali, Verbal Sins, Bidayatul Hidayah Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas tentang bullying verbal yang sering dianggap remeh oleh manusia pada zaman ini. Padahal merupakan bentuk dari penyimpangan akhlak dan penyakit hati. Al-Ghazali berpendapat bahwa ucapan negatif mencerminkan kerusakan hati. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran mengenai bullying verbal menurut tasawuf Al-Ghazali, dalam kitab bidāyatul hidāyah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan pendekatan konten analisis. Sedangkan data yang dikumpulkan pada penelitian ini bersumber dari data primer yaitu kitab Bidayatul Hidayah serta data sekunder yang merupakan data-data pendukung untuk melengkapi dan membuat penelitian ini menjadi lebih baik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis mengenai bahaya lisan dalam penelitian ini yang mengarah kepada bullying verbal dalam kitab Bidayatul Hidayah menurut pandangan Imam Al-Ghazali adalah termasuk didalamnya ucapan tak berguna, melaknat, meremehkan, menggunjing, ucapan keji dan cabul, serta pembicaraan mengenai kebatilan. Adapun terapi untuk mengatasi hal tersebut Imam Al-Ghazali menjelaskan ash-shumt (diam), dan tazkiyah an-nafs. Kata Kunci: Bullying Verbal, Al-Ghazali, maksiat lisan, bidayatul Hidayah

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas implementasi program subsidi pertanian dari perspektif administratif serta mengevaluasi dampaknya terhadap produktivitas lahan melalui pemanfaatan teknologi pertanian modern. Program subsidi pertanian yang dijalankan oleh pemerintah telah menjadi salah satu instrumen utama dalam mendorong ketahanan pangan nasional, namun efektivitasnya di lapangan masih dipertanyakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan dukungan data kuantitatif, serta studi kasus di wilayah pertanian yang menerima subsidi secara aktif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara administratif, program subsidi menghadapi berbagai tantangan, terutama dalam hal akurasi data petani, mekanisme penyaluran bantuan, serta koordinasi antarlembaga pelaksana. Dari sisi dampak, ditemukan bahwa subsidi yang dikombinasikan dengan adopsi teknologi pertanian modern mampu meningkatkan produktivitas lahan secara signifikan, meskipun peningkatan tersebut tidak terjadi merata di seluruh wilayah. Faktor pendukung seperti infrastruktur, kapasitas penyuluh, dan akses pasar turut memengaruhi keberhasilan program. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa efektivitas program subsidi sangat bergantung pada integrasi antara tata kelola administratif yang efisien dan penerapan teknologi yang adaptif. Rekomendasi yang diajukan mencakup perbaikan sistem validasi data, penguatan kapasitas kelembagaan, serta edukasi petani dalam penggunaan teknologi. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan kebijakan pertanian yang lebih berbasis bukti (evidence-based policy) dan berorientasi pada keberlanjutan serta kemandirian petani di era modern.

Abstract

The performance of officials of the Office of Supervision and Service Customs and Gresik taxes is falling. This is due to the job motivation and career development in the Gresik Customs and Tax Supervision and Services Division. The study aims to identify and analyze the impact of motivation and career development on the performance of employees at the Customs and Tax Supervision and Services Office of Gresik District. The type of research used is a quantitative and explanatory approach. This analysis is used to measure the influence of free variables, namely career development and job motivation, on the bound variable, which is the performance of employees with the help of SPSS 25 software. The research results can conclude that motivation for work positively and significantly influences staff performance in the Customs and Customised Oversight and Service Office of the Gresik District. Career development significantly and positively impacts staff performance in the Gresik District of Customy and Control Office and Service.   Keywords: Employee Performance, Work Motivation, Career Development

Abstract

The aims of this research include exploring the influence of laboratory management on the performance of managers (laboratories) at SMA IT Yarsi Mataram. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational type of research. The research method uses statistical research methods with an analytical design. The data collection technique uses observation, which consists of 1 independent variable, namely laboratory management, and 2 dependent variables, namely manager performance and science process skills. There are 2 instruments used, namely a questionnaire instrument for manager performance variables, and an assessment sheet for science process skills. The total population is 78 people, and the sample is 30 people. The research results show that, among other things, there is no influence of laboratory management on manager performance; this can be seen from the significance value obtained from the ANOVA test, namely 0.221, which is greater than the 5% significance level, namely 0.05. This means that the differences or variations in laboratory management are not strong enough to influence changes in manager performance. This could be caused by other factors outside of laboratory management that are more dominant in influencing performance, such as leadership style, organizational culture, work motivation, or the performance appraisal system used. The implication of this study is the importance of the laboratory as a place to develop students’ science skills practically. So, to provide maximum implementation, laboratory management is needed with laboratory assistants who have good performance, so that the final results in science learning can achieve the intended goals.

Abstract

Inventory management is a critical component of the retail industry, particularly in the context of perishable products. The objective of this study is to propose a conceptual framework for the selection of inventory control strategies, with the aim of enhancing cost efficiency for perishable products with limited lifetime. In this study, we first analyze the inventory control of perishable products according to sales levels data using the ABC classification method. Subsequently, demand patterns are identified to determine the inventory method to be used. This study identifies the potential of the Periodic Review System to determine the optimal order quantity, thereby enhancing cost efficiency. This study utilizes the fruit retail sector as a case study to implement the proposed conceptual framework. The findings indicate that the Periodic Review System has the potential to minimize total inventory expenses in comparison with the existing conventional method.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of the family environment, particularly parental attention, in shaping students’ interest in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The objectives of this study are: (1) to identify the level of parental attention toward the learning interest of grade VII students of SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Kerjo in the 2024/2025 academic year, (2) to determine the level of students’ interest in learning PAI, and (3) to analyze the influence of the family environment on students’ learning interest in PAI. The study employed a quantitative associative approach. The population and sample consisted of 56 seventh-grade students selected using total sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation, and analyzed using validity, reliability, normality, linearity, and simple linear regression tests.NThe results show that parental attention is in the high category (60.07%), students’ learning interest is in the moderate category (51.8%), and 44.0% of the variation in students’ learning interest is influenced by the family environment, while the remaining 56.0% is influenced by other factors. These findings indicate that family attention significantly contributes to fostering students’ interest in PAI learning.

Abstract

The difficulty of students at SMPN 1 Sukowono in visualizing polyhedra remains a fundamental problem. As many as 75% of students scored below the minimum mastery criteria, indicating weak spatial abilities in spatial visualization. There has been no follow-up because students' spatial abilities based on visuality levels have not been identified as the basis for remedial programs. This study aims to analyze students’ spatial abilities in solving problems related to polyhedra based on level of visuality. A qualitative descriptive method was employed at SMPN 1 Sukowono in the 2022/2023 academic year. The subjects were four eighth-grade students with different levels of visuality: non-visualizers, abstract-harmonic, pictorial-harmonic, visualizers. The instruments used were essay tests and MPI questionnaires. Data analysis included condensation, display, conclusion drawing. The validity of the data used was data triangulation. The results showed that non-visualizers mastered four indicators of spatial ability: spatial-orientation, spatial-perception, spatial-relations, spatial-visualization. Pictorial-harmonic students mastered three indicators: spatial-perception, spatial-visualization, mental-rotation. Abstract-harmonic and visualizer students mastered all indicators of spatial ability. It is concluded that abstract-harmonic and visualizer students demonstrated stronger spatial abilities in solving polyhedron problems. The implications of this study can serve as a basis for developing remedial programs to to enhance students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Intertextuality is a crucial yet often overlooked aspect of academic writing that enables students to construct well-supported and persuasive arguments. This article explores how teaching intertextuality enhances students' ability to integrate sources effectively, establish connections between ideas, and develop a strong academic voice. By examining various forms of intertextual references—such as direct quotations, paraphrases, summaries, and implicit allusions—this study highlights strategies to improve coherence and argumentation in student writing. Furthermore, it discusses how a deeper understanding of intertextuality can help students avoid unintentional plagiarism while strengthening their critical thinking skills. The article also presents pedagogical approaches, including scaffolded exercises and reflective writing, to help students engage with texts more meaningfully. By fostering an awareness of intertextuality, educators can empower students to participate more confidently in academic discourse, constructing arguments that are both original and well-grounded in existing literature.
