Abstract

The rapid growth of digital multimedia increases the risk of unauthorized access and data leakage, requiring effective techniques to enhance data security. Steganography is one approach that conceals information within digital media to prevent detection. This research aims to implement a multi-file steganography system using the PNG metadata method to secure multimedia data. The proposed approach embeds multiple files into the metadata section of PNG images without altering the visual quality of the carrier image, thereby maintaining imperceptibility. The methodology involves analyzing PNG metadata structures, designing an embedding and extraction mechanism for multiple files, and implementing the system using a software-based approach. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method is capable of securely embedding and extracting multiple files while preserving image integrity and file authenticity. The use of PNG metadata provides sufficient capacity and flexibility for multi-file steganography, making it suitable for secure multimedia data storage and transmission. Overall, the proposed implementation shows that metadata-based steganography can be an effective and efficient solution for enhancing multimedia data security.

Abstract

The oyster mushroom cultivation skills training for students is carried out as a strategic effort to equip the younger generation with technical skills and foster an entrepreneurial spirit in the agribusiness sector. This activity is motivated by the limited practical competence of students in developing economically valuable agricultural businesses, so that the need for applied training relevant to the needs of the job market and independent business opportunities. The purpose of this activity is to improve students' technical skills in oyster mushroom cultivation and foster knowledge, attitudes, and interest in agribusiness-based entrepreneurship. The implementation method includes interactive lectures, demonstrations, direct practice, and group discussions held at P4S Cendawan Eduwisata Medan. Evaluation was carried out through pre-tests and post-tests as well as observation of participant skills during the activity. The results of the training showed a significant increase in students' technical skills with an average increase of 63.2%, including the ability to create planting media, inoculation of seeds, maintenance, up to harvesting and post-harvest handling. In addition, students' knowledge and interest in entrepreneurship also increased by 54.2%. These results demonstrate that the training is effective in developing an entrepreneurial mindset and enhancing students' readiness to develop modern agricultural-based businesses, particularly oyster mushroom cultivation. Therefore, this activity plays a crucial role in developing innovative, independent, and competitive young entrepreneurs in the agribusiness sector.

Abstract

Encouraging consumer purchasing interest is an important phase in the marketing process because product competition is tightening and providing easy access to information and excellent services, particularly in the ready-to-drink beverage market. The goal of this study is to investigate and evaluate the role of purchasing interest in mediating the impact of digital marketing, promotion, and electronic word-of-mouth on Chatime purchasing decisions in Pondok Cina, Depok. Primary data from 210 respondent questionnaires was analyzed quantitatively. SmartPLS performs multivariate analysis using the Structural Equation Model approach. In addition to demonstrating the mediating role of purchasing interest and the importance of marketing using digital channels, promotion, and electronic word of mouth in driving purchasing decisions; the study's findings explain strategies for driving purchasing decisions in increasingly competitive beverage shops.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of market atmosphere and product diversity on consumer purchase intention, with perceived value as a mediating variable, at the newly revitalized Pasar Gembrong Sukasari, Bogor City. Although traditional markets such as Pasar Gembrong Sukasari have fully upgraded their physical facilities, they still encounter competitive challenges and suffer from low consumer purchase intentions, even after revitalization efforts. This study uniquely uses perceived value as a mediating variable to explore the relationship between market atmosphere and product diversity as independent variables and purchase intention as a dependent variable in a revitalized traditional market. Previous studies have shown inconsistent results and rarely integrated all four variables into their analyses. This study addresses this gap by incorporating perceived value. This study, grounded in the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theoretical framework, implemented a quantitative methodology by distributing questionnaires to a purposively selected group of 190 respondents. The collected data were subsequently analyzed using SmartPLS v. 3.2.9 in conjunction with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that market atmosphere (39.1% influence) and product diversity (53.2% influence) significantly impact perceived value. Perceived value, in turn, exerts the most substantial influence on purchase intention (63.4% influence) and plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between environmental stimuli (market atmosphere and product diversity) and purchase intention. Notably, the direct effect of product diversity on purchase intention was found to be insignificant (p-value > 0.05), highlighting the essential role of perceived value as a full mediator. To sustainably boost consumer purchase intentions, efforts to enhance market atmosphere and product diversity should prioritize creating a positive perceived value in consumers' minds.

Abstract

Law enforcement against narcotics abusers in Indonesia is predominantly characterized by a punitive approach, resulting in prison overcrowding, despite the normative legal framework adopting a double-track system. This practice is deeply rooted in the rigid paradigm of legal positivism adhered to by law enforcement officials. This study aims to (1) analyze Hans Kelsen's legal positivism within the practice of narcotics law enforcement, and (2) critique the application of this positivism in achieving substantive justice. This research employs a normative (doctrinal) legal method, utilizing a case approach (Samarinda District Court Decision No. 1045/Pid.Sus/2019/PN Smr) and a statutory approach. The findings reveal two key points. First, the practice of law enforcement officials strictly reflects Hans Kelsen's Pure Theory of Law, focusing solely on das Sollen (fulfillment of statutory elements) while disregarding das Sein (the sociological fact that the suspect is an abuser). Second, the decision analysis exposes a paradox: while the judge's considerations were non-positivistic (acknowledging the need for rehabilitation), the final verdict remained positivistic (imposing imprisonment) due to the failure to conduct an integrated assessment at the investigation stage. It is concluded that rigid legal positivism fails to achieve substantive justice and utility, prioritizing only procedural legal certainty.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of a comprehensive linguistic analysis of classical Arabic literary works to uncover their aesthetic and intellectual dimensions. The poem As-Shamtu by Imam Asy-Syafi‘i holds significant moral and rhetorical value, yet it has rarely been examined through a multi-level linguistic framework. This research aims to analyze the poem through five linguistic levels: phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and stylistics. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive analytical approach based on library research. The data consist of the text of As-Shamtu, collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using content analysis, including identification, classification, interpretation, and conclusion drawing according to the five levels of analysis. The findings reveal that, phonologically, the poem employs baḥr tawil with taf’ilah patterns that undergo zihaf and ʿillah, along with a consistent rhyme scheme that produces a harmonious rhythm. Morphologically, the dominance of fiʿl madhi, mashdar, and ism faʿil strengthens the density of meaning. Syntactically, the combination of verbal and nominal sentences creates a cohesive structure. Semantically and stylistically, “silence” is constructed as a symbol of wisdom through devices such as istiʿarah, tashbih baligh, kinayah, tafdil, and tauriyah, affirming the poem’s contemplative and social values.

Abstract

Fluctuations in the dollar exchange rate reflect the macroeconomic dynamics experienced by a country. Exchange rate instability is often triggered by external factors, one of which is socio-political conflicts such as wars, violence against civilians, explosions, and protests. This study aims to examine the impact of various types of conflicts on the changes in USD-IDR in Indonesia. The research was conducted using data from 2015–2022 and applying the Generalized Linear Model (GLM) approach, specifically Poisson regression with a log link function, which is deemed appropriate for count-type data that do not follow a normal distribution. Exchange rate data was obtained from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), while conflict data came from the Armed Conflict Location Event Data (ACLED) database. The independent variables analyzed include the categories of war, civil violence, explosions, and protests. The estimation results show that war has a significant negative impact on the exchange rate, while incidents of explosions and protests have a significant positive impact. On the other hand, civil violence has not been statistically proven to have an impact. The results of this study indicate that not all types of conflict have the same impact on exchange rates, making it important for policymakers to identify and differentiate types of conflict in economic analysis. This study opens up opportunities for further research by incorporating other macroeconomic variables and cross-country comparative approaches.

Abstract

Corruption remains one of the most significant obstacles to sustainable environmental governance in resource-rich developing countries. While existing studies predominantly examine corruption as a governance failure or institutional deficiency, limited attention has been paid to its role as a criminogenic force that systematically generates economic breakdown. This study aims to analyze how structural corruption within Indonesia’s natural resource sector functions as a catalyst for economic decline through a socio-legal and criminological perspective. Employing a qualitative socio-legal approach, the research draws upon legal documents, government reports, anti-corruption records, and environmental governance cases in the mining, forestry, and plantation sectors. The findings demonstrate that corruption operates beyond individual acts of bribery and abuse of office; it functions as a structural mechanism that distorts resource allocation, weakens environmental law enforcement, facilitates regulatory capture, and accelerates ecological degradation. These processes generate substantial fiscal losses, undermine institutional legitimacy, discourage productive investment, and exacerbate socio-economic inequality. The study further reveals how state capture and patronage networks transform environmental governance into a system that privileges private economic interests over public welfare and sustainability objectives. The novelty of this research lies in its reconceptualization of corruption as a criminological driver of economic breakdown rather than merely a consequence of weak governance. By integrating green criminology, crimes of the powerful, and socio-legal analysis, this article develops a new analytical framework for understanding the relationship between corruption, environmental governance failure, and economic vulnerability. The findings contribute to criminological scholarship and provide policy insights for strengthening accountability and sustainable natural resource governance in Indonesia.
