Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence of a digital mindset on the innovative behavior of chemistry teachers. A digital mindset, which reflects teachers' readiness and ability to utilize digital technology, is a key factor in driving innovation in education. Innovation among chemistry teachers includes creativity in teaching methods, the use of technology in the classroom, and the application of teaching approaches relevant to 21st-century needs. The technique used is a quantitative survey. The sample of this study consists of 60 chemistry teachers. Data collection techniques use a Likert scale questionnaire with five response options: Always, Often, Sometimes, Rarely, and Never. Data analysis is performed using SEM with the help of the SmartPLS 3.0 program. The results of the study show a coefficient value of 0.862 with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a t-value of 32.794 > 1.96, indicating that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, signifying a significant influence of digital mindset on teachers' innovative behavior. Teachers with a well-developed digital mindset are more likely to utilize digital tools, engage in ongoing professional development, and collaborate with their peers to share best practices. These behaviors lead to more effective and engaging teaching strategies, ultimately enhancing student understanding and motivation. Despite potential obstacles such as limited training and resources, fostering a digital mindset among chemistry teachers is crucial for advancing educational practices and improving the quality of learning experiences. Therefore, the digital mindset affects the innovative behavior of chemistry teachers. The implications of this study highlight the importance of training and strengthening the digital mindset among teachers to support educational transformation. Training programs focused on improving technological skills and understanding digital pedagogy should be prioritized to create innovative learning environments that adapt to evolving times. Abstract

Abstract: On February 11, 2022, the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology launched the Fifteenth Episode of Merdeka Belajar policy: Merdeka Curriculum and Merdeka Teaching Platform online, as an option for learning recovery. The Merdeka Curriculum focuses on student competence & character education, so the Merdeka Curriculum structure consists of two components, namely intracurricular learning and project learning through character education (Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila/P5). This study aims to understand the communication strategies, resources, attitudes of policy implementers and standard operating procedures (SOPs) carried out by policy makers to policy implementers (SDN Menteng 02 Pagi) in transmitting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum policy. The method chosen uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive evaluative method and refers to the policy from George C. Edwards III. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation studies by performing data analysis techniques, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The result of the study is that the policy implemented in the Merdeka Curriculum in elementary schools aims to provide adequate facilities for innovative learning for students. With this policy, it can encourage the learning process in elementary schools to become more flexible or organized, because the principle of the Merdeka Curriculum itself requires students to master expertise in the fields they want in soft skills and hard skills. Abstract

Many of the problems that occur in the implementation of education in Indonesia are not only due to the education system but can also be suspected to be due to the perpetrators of the education providers themselves. In reality, there are still quite a lot of school-age people who do not go to school because of the problem of expensive education costs. Thus, in conditions of very limited funds and schools faced with diverse needs, schools must be able to make decisions while still being guided by quality improvement. This study aims to analyze the role and strategy of schools in financing education to improve the quality of education. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection was conducted through preliminary analysis of teachers and principals, observations to schools, and interviews of administration staff, teachers and principals at SMA PGRI 12 Jakarta. The results showed that one of the factors that influence the quality of education in a school is the role and strategy of the school in managing its education financing. Thus, the correlation created between school financing and the quality of education can be clearly seen in teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

The development of technology and digitalization in the Industrial Age 4.0 brings new challenges in character education, especially in shaping the morality of the younger generation who are exposed to the rapid flow of information and social change. This article aims to analyze the role of philosophy of education as a conceptual foundation in character education management to form a young generation with morality, integrity, and responsibility. Through an interdisciplinary approach that incorporates values from various schools of educational philosophy such as humanism, existentialism and pragmatism, this article highlights how these values can be applied in school policies, curriculum and learning methods. This research uses a qualitative method with literature analysis and case studies on several schools that implement philosophy-based character education. The results show that philosophy-based character education management is able to shape students with deeper moral understanding and stronger ethical awareness in the use of technology. Challenges faced include teachers' limited understanding of educational philosophy and the lack of structured policy support. Nevertheless, philosophy-based character education proved to be more effective in building long-term morality than conventional approaches that focus on reward and punishment.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of philosophy-based physical education management as a foundation in the formation of police character in Indonesia, using the literature review method. Physical education combined with philosophical values has great potential to not only develop physical abilities, but also shape moral character, ethics, and social awareness that are essential in the police profession. Through a literature review of related research, this article identifies five main aspects that can be developed through this approach: (1) improvement of discipline and moral responsibility, (2) strengthening of ethics and sportsmanship, (3) development of self-awareness and moral reflection, (4) formation of mental and emotional resilience, and (5) adaptation of local values in character building. The review shows that philosophy-based physical education can strengthen moral awareness and commitment to social responsibility in police candidates. By integrating philosophical principles such as Aristotelian ethics, self-reflection, and social values relevant to the Indonesian context, this approach enables learners to develop a fuller character that is aligned with the values of the police profession. This research suggests that police academies adapt philosophy-based physical education curricula, provide additional training for instructors, and adapt training programs to local values to produce police officers who are not only physically professional, but also have high integrity and social sensitivity.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the balance between physical skill development and moral development in sports education through the perspective of educational philosophy. Sport education often focuses more on improving physical skills and athletic performance, so that aspects of students' moral development, such as sportsmanship, social responsibility and ethics, are often neglected. Based on a literature review and analysis of educational philosophy, especially from the thoughts of John Dewey and Aristotle, this study found that sports education based on holistic philosophical principles can serve as an effective medium for moral character building in addition to physical development. The study also explores how sport education management can design programs that are balanced between physical and moral dimensions, through the integration of moral values into the curriculum and sport practices. In addition, this study reveals the limitations of implementing this balance in many educational institutions, which often emphasize achievement over character development. The findings suggest that effective sport education not only develops physically competent students, but also ethical and socially responsible individuals. The study concludes with recommendations to strengthen the training of sport teachers and coaches in integrating moral values into physical learning.

Abstract

Leadership in the context of education has a crucial role in determining policy direction, decision-making, and creating an environment conducive to meaningful learning. Philosophy of science, as an epistemological and axiological foundation, provides a conceptual framework that can help educational leaders understand the nature of knowledge, the purpose of education, and ethics in managing educational institutions. This research aims to examine the role of leadership in building sports education management based on the philosophy of science, both from a theoretical and practical perspective. This article outlines key concepts from the philosophy of science that are relevant to sports education management and how these principles can be implemented through various leadership styles, such as transformational, visionary and situational leadership. Practically, the study also explores examples of real-life applications where the integration of strong leadership and philosophy of science can enhance the effectiveness of school management, improve the quality of teaching and encourage innovation in the educational process. The results of this study are expected to make a significant contribution to the development of a philosophy of science-based leadership model that is able to face the challenges of education in the modern era, while improving the quality of sports education management holistically.
