Abstract

This journal wants to discuss parental discussions on children's education costs during a pandemic and post-pandemic in 2023. This research uses a qualitative method and in-depth interviews with all sources. This study found three perspectives, the first is the perspective of education administrators, the second is the person in charge of education, the third is parents. The state of the pandemic at that time could be classified as a state of Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity (VUCA). No one could predict the end of the pandemic at that time, family financial problems occurred because there were layoffs, termination of employment, termination of employment, and those who tried to sell them did not do some of these things which caused problems with financing education. After the pandemic, the majority of families have improved their economic situation, but there are some parents who are still having problems in the financial sector. The purpose of this research is to take a close look at how school crisis management works, how parents survive during a crisis, and how they can get out of financial problems, we found some of these things in this research. The purpose of this research is to become knowledge material for education providers so they can be better prepared to face uncertain conditions during a pandemic.

Abstract

Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) scholarship is one of the scholarships that have many enthusiasts and is still a hot issue in the world of education until now. The problem arising from the scholarship is that the recipient students are considered to have a more consumptive lifestyle than regular students. This study aims to analyze whether Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) scholarship is exemplary on target or needs to include the mission and purpose of the scholarship itself. Furthermore, this research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through three instruments: observation, interviews, and documentation, called data triangulation. Interviews were conducted by questioning 5 respondents who were students who received Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) scholarship. After that, the data that has been collected is analyzed to make a deeper interpretation in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the research that has been found, it can be concluded that the cost of education for Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) is by the target, while the cost of living for Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) is still deviating from its primary mission and purpose.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the history, purpose, and reality of decentralization of financing management in local government, as well as analyze the conflict of corruption of education funds in Indonesia and formulate solutions. The method used is a literature study with descriptive analysis techniques. It describes the analysis of data evidence from official government websites and from the results of other parallel studies to find new discussions and experiences to formulate solutions that are much more relevant to the current bureaucracy. The results of this study explain that local government corruption cases after decentralization are the highest of other government agencies, and the source of funds that is the strongest possibility of this practice is the education sector. The education budget continues to soar every year, but the progress of educational development still needs to grow. With the political payback concept, the corruption chain is increasingly difficult to break. As time goes by, the barriers to education seem unchanged. In this case, the DPRD is required to oversee the process of distributing education funds from the central ministry to local governments, the mass media must be more transparent, and the need for anti-corruption education from an early age to form an attitude of responsibility and discipline, this anti-corruption education needs to be given repeatedly, especially for political contestants.

Abstract

Running a private special school has its own difficulties, particularly when it comes to budget management. The effectiveness of an educational institution's financial management will undoubtedly have an influence on raising educational standards. The goal of this study is to examine how special schools handle their finances to raise educational standards. A case study methodology was employed in this qualitative research project at one of the private special schools in West Sumatra's Tanjung Raya sub-district. The foundation's director, the principal, and the treasurer served as the study's subjects. This study employed a variety of data gathering techniques, including documentation, interviews, and observation. The data was then examined via conclusion drawing, data reduction, and data display. According to the findings of this research, Tanjung Raya Special School has not implemented the planning, organizing, executing, and monitoring phases of financial management to their fullest potential. However, principals, teachers, and staff collaborate to manage school funding in order to raise educational standards in terms of infrastructure, amenities, and teacher welfare. Infrastructure and school facilities are in line with national education standards, and the provincial office's policies on teachers' welfare have been changed. It may be said that special school Tanjung Raya is doing its utmost to raise academic standards despite having less funding since they haven't yet gotten BOS grants.

Abstract

To improve the quality of education, consistent encouragement for progress and improvement is essential. The notion of quality is paramount in the field of education and is addressed through continuous improvement. It serves as a solution to address the problem of low-quality education that relies on traditional methodologies. Total Quality Management is a comprehensive approach to quality management that involves every level of management and every department in an organization. In an organizational system that seeks to provide satisfactory customer service, it is important to implement a set of guidelines that ensure consistent customer satisfaction is met. These guidelines should be designed to facilitate the prompt resolution of customer complaints and concerns, while promoting a positive and friendly atmosphere for all customers. There are four key components to effective management in higher education, the first being ensuring that students are satisfied with the level of service provided. The concept of higher education can be divided into three core aspects. First, it involves the pursuit of education outside of secondary school.

Abstract

Teachers are one of the most important human resources in education. Frequent curriculum changes, teachers' lack of understanding in running a digital-based education system, and the many administrative tasks that must be fulfilled make teachers rarely engage and contribute to the latest education system. This is due to the complexity of the teacher's role and the demands of a busy job. This study uses a quantitative approach with survey method and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The research data were obtained by questionnaire. The survey involved 148 teachers as samples. The sampling technique used simple random sampling. The results showed that (1) There is a direct effect of collaborative leadership on teacher work engagement with an Original Sample (O) value of 0.512 and P Values 0.000. (2) There is a direct effect of organizational based self esteem on teacher work engagement with an Original Sample (O) value of 0.206 and P Values 0.032. (3) There is a direct effect of collaborative leadership on organizational based self esteem with an Original Sample (O) value of 0.68 and P Values 0.000. (4) There is an indirect effect of collaborative leadership on teacher work engagement through organizational based self esteem with an Original Sample (O) value of 0.14 and P Values 0.038. The results of this study reinforce the urgency of the role of collaborative leadership and the importance of organizational based self esteem in improving teacher work engagement. The implications of this study highlight the importance of supporting teachers in facing changes and challenges and emphasize the need for leadership that motivates and builds teacher confidence.

Abstract

Many of the problems that occur in the implementation of education in Indonesia are not only due to the education system but can also be suspected to be due to the perpetrators of the education providers themselves. In reality, there are still quite a lot of school-age people who do not go to school because of the problem of expensive education costs. Thus, in conditions of very limited funds and schools faced with diverse needs, schools must be able to make decisions while still being guided by quality improvement. This study aims to analyze the role and strategy of schools in financing education to improve the quality of education. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection was conducted through preliminary analysis of teachers and principals, observations to schools, and interviews of administration staff, teachers and principals at SMA PGRI 12 Jakarta. The results showed that one of the factors that influence the quality of education in a school is the role and strategy of the school in managing its education financing. Thus, the correlation created between school financing and the quality of education can be clearly seen in teaching and learning activities.
