Abstract

This study examines financial literacy and technology's effect on the financial performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), with financial control as a moderating variable. Using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), data were collected from 364 MSMEs in Malang City, Batu City, and Malang Regency that target international markets from January to March 2025. The findings reveal that financial literacy, financial technology, and financial control significantly influence the financial performance of MSMEs. Notably, financial control strengthens the relationship between financial literacy and financial performance, but it does not moderate the effect of financial technology on financial performance. These results suggest that while both financial literacy and financial technology are critical for MSME growth, their effectiveness is enhanced when supported by robust financial control systems. The study recommends that MSMEs prioritize building strong financial control mechanisms from the early stages of business operations to maximize the benefits of financial literacy and technology adoption. In addition, as digital transaction methods continue to evolve, MSMEs must select and utilize appropriate financial technologies to improve service delivery and competitiveness in international markets. This research contributes to the growing body of literature on MSME development by providing empirical evidence of the moderating role of financial control and emphasizing the strategic alignment between financial literacy, control, and technology to drive financial performance and international readiness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of PT Pertamina (Persero) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to local economic welfare using Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) indicators EC5 (ratio of entry-level employee wages to Regional Minimum Wage) and EC6 (representation of local labor in managerial positions). The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, analyzing secondary data from PT Pertamina (Persero) 2020-2023 sustainability report. The sampling technique was carried out purposively on data relevant to the GRI indicators. The results showed that PT Pertamina (Persero) has not been transparent in reporting the ratio of entry-level wages to the UMR and the proportion of local managers in operational areas. This imbalance reflects the need to strengthen local workforce empowerment policies and pay equity as part of CSR strategies. The research conclusion confirms the importance of increasing the transparency of remuneration policies and optimizing the involvement of local communities in strategic positions to support the sustainability of company operation and socio-economic development

Abstract

This scoping review aims to map existing research related to the implementation of management accounting on the performance of MSMEs. The importance of implementing management accounting on the performance of MSMEs needs to be increased both in terms of resources and support from the government. This review refers to five stages, namely: 1) looking for research questions; 2) identify relevant research; 3) selection of articles; 4) data mapping; and 5) compile, summarize and report the results. The time range of the article is 2014-2024. The results of these observations reveal that most research recognizes the role of management accounting in improving the performance of MSMEs. However, there is still the application of management accounting, especially for small and developing MSMEs. Therefore, it is hoped that this research can provide broader insight into the importance of implementing management accounting in the performance of MSMEs.

Abstract

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of TikTok Affiliate in enhancing the sales of DTF printed t-shirts at Wifiprincess, a small fashion business in Indonesia. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with the owner, an employee handling affiliate operations, and a customer, alongside participatory observations. The findings reveal that TikTok Affiliate significantly boosts sales through a cyclical process involving affiliate recruitment, negotiation, new product development, content promotion, and order conversions. The process aligns with the AIDA model (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action), where affiliate content captures attention, builds interest, stimulates desire, and drives purchases, while the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM) highlights the dominance of the peripheral route in influencing consumer behavior through visual appeal. Key indicators such as authentic content creation, trend responsiveness, and strategic affiliate collaboration were critical to success. Theoretically, this research enriches the application of AIDA and ELM in digital marketing contexts, particularly on short-video platforms. Practically, it offers actionable insights for small businesses to leverage TikTok Affiliate for cost-effective market expansion, emphasizing the importance of authenticity and cultural relevance in content strategies.

Abstract

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are one of the key components that support a nation's economic resilience during a crisis, as they are able to survive by leveraging all their financial capabilities. This research aims to identify trend issues regarding the financial capacity of SMEs in facing financial resilience. A bibliometric analysis method is used to explore literature trends related to financial skills and financial resilience. A quantitative approach is applied with the assistance of VOSviewer tools for network visualization, co-occurrence analysis, and trend mapping. Financial resilience research has shifted from traditional approaches to a holistic paradigm that integrates digital, behavioral, and cultural aspects, emphasizing the need for a multidisciplinary approach. The analysis indicates a transition from static financial literacy models to dynamic frameworks influenced by technology and behavior. The rapid growth of digital finance topics reflects a transformative phase requiring agile policy and research responses. Further research should explore the relationships between emerging clusters to develop a more comprehensive financial resilience model in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of product development strategy, marketing capability, and institutional support on export performance in coffee MSMEs that are members of the Kapiten Pasuruan organization. This study uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques using a Likert scale questionnaire distributed to 30 MSMEs members of Kapiten Pasuruan. Data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results of the study indicate that product development strategy has a positive and significant effect on export performance with a path coefficient of 0.437 (t-value = 3.842). Marketing capability has a positive and significant effect with a path coefficient of 0.365 (t-value = 3.251). Institutional support also has a positive and significant effect with a path coefficient of 0.298 (t-value = 2.975). These findings indicate that coffee MSMEs that are able to develop innovative product strategies, improve marketing capabilities, and optimally utilize institutional support have a greater opportunity to improve their export performance. The study suggests the need to strengthen product innovation capacity, develop international marketing competencies, and optimize institutional support to increase the competitiveness of Indonesian coffee MSMEs in the global market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of human resources (HR) on the export capabilities of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with digital competence as a mediating variable. The study focused on two MSMEs producing crafts, namely the producer of Bola Tumbuh Pot (Bobupot) Green Galeria Indonesia from Surabaya and the producer of terracotta pots UD Gerabah Merah from Malang. The research method used is a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) analysis technique. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to 97 respondents who were employees of the two MSMEs. The results of the study indicate that: (1) The quality of HR has a positive and significant effect on digital competence with a path coefficient of 0.683 (p <0.001); (2) Digital competence has a positive and significant effect on export capability with a path coefficient of 0.572 (p <0.001); (3) The quality of HR has a direct effect on export capability with a path coefficient of 0.317 (p <0.05); (4) Digital competence is proven to significantly mediate the relationship between HR quality and export capability with a partial mediation effect of 0.391 (p<0.01). This study provides theoretical and practical implications for HR development in the MSME sector, especially in increasing export capability through the development of digital competence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of market orientation and government support on the export performance of coffee Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Dampit region of Malang, and evaluate the mediating role of market orientation in the relationship between government support and export performance. The approach used was quantitative with survey method and path analysis to test the relationship between variables. The sample of this study amounted to 107 export Dampit coffee MSMEs. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistics and SEM-PLS. The results showed that market orientation had a significant effect on export performance, while government support did not show a significant direct effect. However, government support was shown to significantly influence market orientation, and market orientation significantly mediated the relationship between government support and export performance. These findings reinforce the Resource-Based View (RBV) perspective, that the competitive advantage of MSMEs in the context of exports depends not only on external support, but also on the internal ability to understand the market and adapt to global dynamics. This research makes a theoretical contribution to the development of export entrepreneurship literature and offers practical implications for MSME actors and policy makers in designing market-oriented competitiveness strengthening strategies.
