Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of increasing the concentration of gambir on the physical, chemical, and antioxydant activity of instant functional drinks from a combination of robusta coffee, gambir extract and ginseng. This study used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with the treatment of  formulation of mixed instan powder of robusta coffee and ginseng : gambier extract (F) consisting of 6 levels of treatment and 3 repetitions. Each formulation is as follows; F1 = 97.5%  instant powder of coffee-ginseng : 2.5% gambier extract, F2 = 95% instant powder of coffee-ginseng : 5% gambir extract, F3 = 92.5% instant powder of coffee-ginseng : 7.5% gambier extract, F4 = 90% instant powder of coffee-ginseng : 10% gambier extract, F5 = 87.5% instant powder of coffee-ginseng : 12.5% gambier extract, and F6 = 85% instant powder of coffee-ginseng : 15% extract gambier. The observed parameters are solubility rate, water content, pH value, antioxidant activity and caffeine analysis. The results showed that the formulation treatment of mixed instan powder of robusta coffee and ginseng : gambier extract significantly affected the solubility rate, water content, pH value, and antioxidant activity. The highest value for antioxidant activity (IC50) was 87.46 ppm. The lowest water content was 7.10%, the dissolution rate was 26.78 seconds, the highest pH value was at 5.68, and the caffeine content was 1.26%.

Palembang: Unsri Press.  The objective research was to determine the effect of adding gambir extract (Uncaria gambir Roxb) and kenikir extract (Cosmos caudatus) on physical, chemical, and antibacterial of ganyong starch-based films. This reasearch used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (RALF) with two treatment factors, namely factor A concentration of gambir extract and factor B concentration of kenikir extract. The observed parameters included physical analysis (thickness, elongation percent, compressive strength, and water vapor transmission rate), chemical analysis (total phenol), and analysis of antibacterial activity. The results showed that the treatment of the concentration of gambir extract had a significant effect on thickness, compressive strength, water vapor transmission rate, total phenol and antibacterial activity. The treatment of the concentration of kenikir extract addition to edible fim significantly affected on thickness, compressive strength, water vapor transmission rate, and total phenol. The interaction of the treatment of the addition of concentrations of gambir and kenikir are significantly affected on thickness and compressive strength of edible film. A2B2 treatment (gambir extract 2.5%: 2.5% kenikir extract) is the best treatment based on physical, chemical, and antibacterial characteristics of edible film.  Keywords: edible film, gambir, kenikir

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Taro has the potential to be developed into an alternative food source due to its high nutritional content but the presence of a toxic ingredient in the form of oxalate in the tubers which can cause itching on the skin, mouth and throat. Oxalates come in two forms, namely oxalic acid and calcium oxalate. This study aims to determine the effect of STPP (Sodium Tripolyphospate) Cross-Linking on reducing levels of oxalic acid in modified taro starch. The design used in this study was a factorial randomized design with one factor. The treatment consisted of 4 levels and each treatment was repeated three times. Treatment consisted of the STPP concentration (B0 = 0%, B1 = 0.5%, B2 = 1%, B3 = 1.5%). The parameters observed were oxalic acid levels. The results of the analysis showed that the difference in the starch concentration of STPP had a significant impact on decreasing the level of oxalic acid in taro starch. The levels of oxalic acid were 11.35% at 0% STTP treatment, 7.98% at 0.5% STTP treatment and 5.04% at 1% STTP treatment and 1.5%. From the data obtained, it can be seen that the more STTP concentrations are added, the lower the oxalic acid levels in taro starch.

Abstract

Characteristics of Edible Film with Addition of the Gambir Filtrate (Uncaria gambir Roxb) and Papaya Leaf Filtrate (Carica papaya L.). pp. 176-183.Edible film is a thin layer of biodegradable packaging made from hydrocolloid, lipid and a mixture of both and can serve as a carrier packaging for antibacterial compounds with adding gambir filtrate and papaya leaf filtrate. The objective of the research was to analyze the effect of the gambir filtrate (Uncaria gambier Roxb) and papaya leaf filtrate (Carica papaya L.) on the characteristics of edible film. The research used a Completely Randomized Factorial Design with two factors and each treatment was repeated three times. The frist factor was concentration of the filtrate Gambir (0%, 2.5% and 5%) and the second factor was the concentration of the papaya leaf filtrate (0%, 2.5% and 5%). The research showed that the concentration of the filtrate gambir significant effect on percent of elongation, antibacterial, thickness and water vapour transmission rate. The concentration of the papaya leaf filtrate significantly affected the antibacterial, thickness, percent of elongation and a pressure strength. The best treatment based on some physical and microbiological characteristics is that A3B3 has a thickness 0.174 mm, percent of elongation 20%, pressure strength 90.80 (N / m2), water vapour transmission rate 21.16 (gm-2.day-1) and a inhibition zone for microbe 7.97 mm.

Abstract

The policies of a local government certainly have an impact on various aspects that exist in the area. Including the aspect of measuring regional fiscal capacity (RFC) as a measure of the ability of a region which is reflected through regional revenues minus revenues whose use has been determined and certain expenditures. The rise and fall of the regional fiscal capacity (RFC) of a province compared to other provinces can be caused by many factors, such as fiscal policy factors, natural resource wealth, and one of them is the economic sector performance factor in the province. Therefore, this study aims to determine the differences in RFC categories between provinces in Indonesia, find out what economic sectors can discriminate against RFC categories in provinces, in Indonesia, and determine the ability of the discriminant function in categorizing RFC provinces in Indonesia. The research method used is descriptive method in order to get an overview of the economic sector and fiscal capacity in all provinces in Indonesia. Then proceed with discriminant analysis to find out how the differences in RFC between provinces and which economic sectors can discriminate against RFC categories in provinces in Indonesia. The results showed that there were significant differences in the RFC category between provinces in Indonesia. The sectors that most determine the different categories of provincial RFC in Indonesia are wholesale and retail trade; car and motorcycle repair.

Abstract

Fagositosis makrofag peritoneal dari hewan coba merupakan salah satu penelitian yang berkaitan dengan sistem imun tubuh. Fagositosis merupakan reaksi makrofag memfagosit/memakan lateks, tetapi reaksi tersebut kadang terkendala karena lateks tidak difagosit oleh makrofag. Perlu penambahan serum normal dari hewan coba bersangkutan, namun waktu inkubasi masih belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan serum pada lateks dan lama waktu inkubasi sehingga terjadi reaksi fagositosis yang optimal untuk selanjutnya dapat dipakai peneliti sebagai patokan dalam bekerja. Waktu inkubasi menggunakan 5 perlakuan : (1) makrofag + lateks tanpa serum inkubasi 60 menit, (2) makrofag + lateks + serum inkubasi 60 menit, (3) makrofag + lateks + serum inkubasi 45 menit, (4) makrofag + lateks + serum inkubasi 30 menit, (5) makrofag + lateks + serum inkubasi 15 menit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa waktu penambahan lateks yang mengandung serum dan diinkubasi selama 60 menit dan 45 menit yaitu lateks yang difagosit oleh makrofag terlalu banyak, sedangkan untuk waktu inkubasi 30 menit dan 15 menit lateks yang difagosit makrofag tidak terlalu banyak. Kesimpulan: apabila penelitian fagositosis makrofag dari tikus Sprague Dawley(SD) dengan lateks mengalami kendala yaitu lateks tidak di fagosit oleh makrofag maka dapat ditambahkan serum pada lateks, sedangkan waktu inkubasi makrofag dengan lateks yang mengandung serum selama 15-30 menit

Abstract

This study aims to determine the physical properties of land conversion from rubber land to coconut plantations (cocos nucifera L) in Kampung Dalam Village, Bilah Hulu District, Labuhanbatu Regency. Soil analysis was carried out at the Agricultural Soil Clinic, Agricultural, Fisheries, Forestry Extension Commission (KP3K) Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. The method used in this research is a field survey by reviewing and determining the location and determining the location of observation points on the conversion of rubber land to coconut plantations and continuing to take soil samples as material for analysis in the laboratory. Soil sampling with a ring sample with a depth of (20 cm) from the top soil layer. In the land conversion of rubber land into coconut plantations, 4 soil samples were taken with a distance of 100 meters in the field with a random method spread over a predetermined area based on a base map. Parameters analyzed in this study include Bulk Density, Total Pore Space, Field Capacity, Withering Point, Soil Texture. The results showed that the density of the soil mass was 0.17 g.cmֿ³, the total pore space was 45.56 %, the field capacity (%) was 252.07%, the lay point (%) was 252.07%, and the character of the soil at the study site was entered in clay character.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemanjuran diri terhadap kematangan karier siswa SMK. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif Penelitian kependudukan adalah siswa kelas XI SMK Al Ghazaly jurusan perbankan dan otomasi kantor. Sampel 90 orang dipilih menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan verifikatif. Teknik analisis sampel yang digunakan adalah regresi linier sederhana. Tes normalitas menggunakan tes Kolmogorov-smirnov dan regresi linear sederhana. Semua data perhitungan menggunakan IBM SPSS v.25 untuk Windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemanjuran diri mempengaruhi kematangan karier Besarnya pengaruh khasiat diri terhadap kematangan karier sebesar 0,149 (14,9%) sedangkan 0,851(85,1%) sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain.

Abstract

The digestive tract is the main key to an animal's health which manifests livestock productivity. Healthy animals produce optimal livestock productivity. The purpose of this study was to determine egg production from a combination of turmeric and garlic against Salmonella enteritidis infection or commonly referred to as Salmonellosis disease. The method of preparing turmeric and garlic is done by giving heat treatment at a temperature of ± 70° C, then given by mashing. The results showed that after infection with Salmonella enteritidis, abnormal egg-laying occurred, namely eggs are very small than normal. The productivity of magelang ducks infected by Salmonella enteritidis and supplemented with black garlic and turmeric (P2) can pursue control treatment (P0) and treatment without infection plus black garlic and turmeric supplementation (P1). Whilst, egg weight from treatment P1 was heavier than P0 and P2 after infection. It can be concluded that the addition of black garlic and turmeric can improve both egg productivity and egg weight. Abstract

Magelang duck is one of the productive local poultry producing meat and eggs. This study aims to compare the production and quality of eggs between local ducks at duck breeding centers in Ngadirojo Village, Secang District, Magelang Regency. The material used was 11 samples of ducks and eggs from different breeders. Based on the results of the study it was found that the average morphological measurements in ducks are bodyweight of 1.94 kg, body length 30.67 cm, neck length 14.18 cm, chest circumference 39.09 cm, and body temperature 40.18 cm. The average albumen weight was 26.47 gr, yolk weight 23.69 gr, albumen width 8.87 cm, yolk width 4.49 cm, albumen height 0.77 cm, and yolk height 2.00 cm. The morphology of duck size will greatly affect egg production. The weight of female and male ducks is almost the same, ranging from 1.5-2 kg. Magelang duck egg production is about one grain every day. Each egg production will be different. This can be influenced by several factors including the quality of the seeds and the feed system that is given. Standard normal egg weight ranges from 65-70 grams.
